All up there was several things that just came together to make our stay average. For the money we paid I would have expected better. Our room had single beds pushed together - the split between the beds was uncomfortable to sleep with as we found ourselves wedged between the two beds often during the night. Further on bedding, at the price of the room I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect a doona cover as opposed to a doona between two sheets. There were no power-points near the bed which although not a major issue was still inconvenient. The room itself was plain, and had we had wanted to watch some tv, we would have had to sit on the bed – there was a couch in the room however not in front of the tv. The room next to ours seemed like it was being used to house staff as they were constantly coming in and out of the room and being loud – the entryway door which we shared was always left open by the occupants consequentially and was letting in heat and lots of bugs. The laundry facilities we had were filthy. Lastly, parking isn’t allocated, and we had to park a long way from our room – whilst this isn’t ideal for my partner and I we managed, however for others not as able this would be a big issue.

The rooms were neat, tidy, comfortable and clean. They had everything needed to be able to use the space as a fully functioning temporary home, with the kitchen and its utensils, the bbq and the laundry too. The staff were friendly and did what they could to help accommodate us having a cancelled flight and needing to check out a little later. Whalers restaurant had lovely staff and the food was mostly good, my friends steak was well over cooked and it was a little bit pricey for what things were. I got a pasta dish which you would normally expect to be priced around the $25 mark but it was $38, it was delicious but still overpriced. We hired the car from them too, they were more than willing to help us out with a later return due to flight cancellations and it was an easy process which was much appreciated. The car was pretty worn and as my friend is a mechanic he deemed that the tyres were questionable (past the wear marks) and we could see it was well past when it should have been last serviced, which all in all isn’t great on open roads at high speeds with no help close if anything went wrong but it did do its job and got us too and from where we needed to go and we got a discount as we were also staying at the resort which was nice. Overall the service was great and we had a great time.

Stayed on an ensuite powered site - trees on each site and very modern and roomy ensuite. Green mats down on the site too, great for minimising dust. The facilities were excellent - big camp kitchen, bbqs, games room, clean and modern ablutions and a huge family bathroom (Inc full size bath) right by the main pool. There was also a second, smaller pool by reception which was really pretty but is in need of a refurb: lots of loose tiles in and around edges of pool. Hopefully they do retain it as a second pool though. Friendly check-in. Only negative of our stay was that there was a lot of bird droppings around the edges of the main pool wherever there was shade which meant you couldn't sit on the edges; droppings are inevitable but this was excessive and didn't look to have been cleaned the whole 3 days we were there. Not a huge thing and likely due to the restricted staff on site caused by staff shortages everywhere. Playground was surprisingly small, but had shade cover which is smart. Realy recommend this park for Exmouth 👌

My husband and I had a 2 bedroom unit in a single story block at the far end of the resort, back from the main road. It had the vibe of an 80's motel but appeared to have been recently partly renovated and was quite clean and adequate for our 9 night stay. It was sufficiently roomy for the 2 of us and had what looked like pretty new full size refrigerator, washing machine, drier, plus a microwave, hot plate and an extensive range of crockery, cutlery and cooking gear. Tea, coffee, condiments, a small UHT milk, dishwashing supplies and laundry powder were also provided. There was also a clean BBQ and table and chairs on our patio at the front of our unit and a small table and chairs in a small courtyard beside the main door. The windows all had timber venetians which had seen better days. The bathroom had received a partial reno. but the shower stall remained the old original one and was a bit sad. On the positive side there was plenty of hot water. There was a box style airconditioner in each room and while they were efficient they were too noisy to sleep with and we were able to hear the next door's air con running through the night as well. Other than hearing this noise there was no neighbour noise or noise from the road. TV reception was fine. The bed was fairly comfortable though the pillows could do with an update. The linen was in good condition. I did not expect to have the room serviced during our stay but on the friday after arriving on the monday we were surprised to have a full room service, linen change, fresh towels etc. The bistro is large and serves standard pub fare nothing flash but it was fine and we ate there several times. We received our meals pretty quickly. Like everywhere they had limited staff and the menu was limited, but we were quite satisfied with the service and options. The resort is centrally located to the town centre with a variety of shops, bakery, supermarkets, restaurant, bank etc. As we did not have a car this was important to us. Taking a short cut out the back of the resort, it was a 8-10 minute walk to the shops. If you follow the road around the front of the resort the walk is about 12 - 15 minutes. There is not a lot of eating options within walking distance. We wandered down to the BBqFather at a resort about 10 minutes walk away and it was very nice. There is a bottle shop on site next to reception. All staff were friendly and professional. The resort is no frills but suited us fine and the main priority was being within walking distance to town services. We were here to scuba dive and a luxury holiday was not planned or expected. I would be happy to stay here again if I didn't have a car.
