The hotel is located on the banks of the Daugava River. It is the old town of Riga on the other side. There is a tram and bus stop at the entrance of the hotel. It is very convenient to travel. The hotel has a large parking lot, and the parking is free. The breakfast is very rich and the price is very high.

Good location and good environment. Take a taxi from the airport for only 11-12 Euros, take a taxi to the station for 6 Euros, and get close to the river. Especially the breakfast is very rich and superb.

Good value for money. The room was not big but the room was clean and friendly. There were no slippers, but basic amenities and the hotel itself was very cozy. Breakfast was just the basic but the food was satisfactory. The location is also good as it is accessible by public transport from the airport and a short taxi ride away. The breakfast market is right next door and there is a restaurant called Grill Garden. It's not a central city, but I want to go there again because I can live with local people.

After lot's of research I booked this hotel for 4 of us, 2 couples, to stay for 3 nights. We wanted to be in the old town and this place was perfect for walking everywhere around the old and new areas. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were in awe of the place. A budget friendly hotel in the most perfect location, on a cobbled street. We couldn't have been happier. You could spend a day just looking around at all the different quirky things on display around the hotel. We loved our beautiful rooms, all seem to have a different look. All good. The free buffet style breakfast each morning was a great start to the day. A nice selection, cold meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh fruits, variety of yogurts, salads, hot foods to name but a few. Tea, coffee, juice, water all available. The only thing I couldn't find was breakfast tea but there was plenty of others to choose from. Everything was fresh and replenished all the time by the staff. The staff are a true credit to the hotel, they could not be more helpful. On our last day we passed some time on at Jurmala beach, recommended by the lovely Karina (forgive me if I have spelled this wrong) She gave us a map and drew a circle of which part of the beach to head to. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Karina. All the staff were fantastic and I would like to give a special mention to Ruslans and again, forgive me again if I have spelled your name wrong. He was so patient and kind with us, new to the country and city. What lovely helpful staff. We 100% will stay here on our next visit to Riga and tell all our friends too. What a fantastic place Latvia, and Riga is, a real hidden gem.... Just to add there is a 24 hour bar which the lads enjoyed a night cap each night whilst us girls when to bed. Thank you, Justus Hotel, we will be back. Best wishes from Pat, Terry, Lynne and Phil. Hope to see you all again x

There were good and not so good things. We really wanted to enjoy sauna and watch a movie at the evening when done with delicious dinner that we had outside. So, the room was clean, staff were great, liked the interior. Had delicious breakfast. Pillows and bed itself - can't complain, lovely. However, there were minor insulation problems in the shower, it kept overflowing in spite of the drain working properly. TV was with glitches, watching a movie without weird interruptions or TV just powering off was impossible. Bose speaker was there...Couldn't connect to it either..Went to sauna. Was not that warm and kept getting colder. No staff was present at that floor so we could just ask what's up with it. It wasn't even late, at about 5 PM.So, if we weren't planning on a movie and sauna, it would've been a really good stay. But it wasn't sadly. Now I can say - just an okay stay.

Fabulous hotel. The communal areas are chic and very pleasant to sit in, and the rooms we had were excellent (we had two adjoining rooms - a two-story ‘apartment’ and a twin, which had connecting doors)- they were spacious enough and had the most amazing views over the skyline of Riga old town. And it was very good value for the quality of room and the view. However the thing that really made this stay for us was the service from the front desk staff who were all excellent - while we were there they helped sort out shipment of a suitcase back to the UK and also helped us deal with a medical issue for our daughter. All done with a smile. Honestly this hotel probably has the best service of any I have stayed in lately (and I travel a lot). The only thing that was a bit odd was the breakfast where we had to choose what we wanted the next morning the night before. This is because they can’t run a buffet because of COVID. However it wasn’t really a problem and they were great about bringing stuff we wanted.

Location is perfect but due to not having staff in nighttime makes it one scary place. Frontdoor is opened with a code at nighttime and how many knows it...? Lobby & restaurant is fasinatinginly renovated. Have a canarian bird and fishpond but rooms.. old, very old, wooden floors, dreadfull old beds and linen smelled dusty(?) very much. Room was so COLD... Staff was friendly and breakfast plenty & good. Used to be called hotel Mann-Tess and many signs were still on that name.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was pretty small and even though it was around 18-20 degrees outside, it was really hot in the room, air conditioning was not working and we suffered the first night, since opening the window was causing too much noise from the highway. We complained next morning and then were promised that either AC will be fixed or we will be moved to the other room. We went to Sigulda and when came back, the other receptionist said that they cannot do anything about air conditioning, since there are some settings, which cannot be changed and air conditioning starts working only when outside temperature is higher. She also refused to move us to another room. We really had to insist hard that she contacts manager and gets permission to change the settings, which finally she did. It is unacceptable that guests have to fight for the right to have pleasant temperature in the room. Good sides were beautiful location and breakfast, which was really good for small hotel with many choices. Overall, convenient and beautiful location, but do not expect comfort and great service.

Hotel location is good, just at the junction of old and new Riga To the east is the art district, where you can take a boat ride to the west and the old town to the south. You can go to the old town or take the bus. There are also a lot of bus stops nearby, and it is very convenient to travel. Downstairs is the number one restaurant on a travel software The hotel’s own breakfast is also good, although there are not many options, but it is enough. I prefer to live here than living in the old town. 1. You don’t need to take the box to walk the stone road 2. Accessible barriers and elevators

It was the cheapest place when I was booking. So, for the money I have payed it is a perfect place! Just in front of the train station, RIMI supermarket 10 minutes walk from the Old city and bus station, 5 minutes walk to the bus 22 to the airport - everything is close to the place! You need to state the time of arrival with the property 1 day in advance - the person is coming for checking you in. The time is from 14. the staff is very friendly. There is a small kitchen with microwave own, fridge and some stuff. Free tea.

The hotel is located in the old town. It is only ten minutes away from the Riga long-distance bus station and train station, but it must be reached by tunnel and gravel road. Our handling box is not heavy, so there is no big problem. The hotel waiter has a smile, the room is slightly thin, but the room can be fully opened, the breakfast is rich, maybe my request is not high, combined with the geographical service price, it should be considered a good choice, recommended.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour! The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood of Soviet era flat blocks, the neighbourhood looks pretty run down! Before we even arrived at the hotel our tour guide told us that the hotel had said we were only to eat breakfast things in the dining room and not prepare things to take away, this is not uncommon as most hotels have this policy, the reason I mention it is our guide went on to say if anybody is caught taking food the hotel will charge them, if they refuse to pay the police will be called! A very warm welcoming to the hotel! Our room was classed as a junior suite and consisted of a sitting room with a sofa, a small fridge and a TV, a bedroom with a double bed but 2 single duvets and a bathroom with shower! The room had no air conditioning and Riga was experiencing a heatwave while we were there so we had to keep the windows open, we were on the side of the hotel facing the main road and traffic including trolley buses ran all night! Then at about 4am the birds started singing! The bathroom had a dirty glass in it and was in dire need of an overhaul, the toilet was cracked and in the morning the shower was incredibly weak! The room was not dirty but looked very tired and grubby, the furniture was all marked and on its last legs! The restaurant was on the ground floor just off reception and was a strange experience, when we went in for dinner we discovered our dessert on the table before we even had starter and they remained there until it was time to eat/drink them! We had a mushroom soup to start followed by a pork schnitzel with rice and veg, it was pleasant enough and the dessert appeared to be a berry fruit coulis with synthetic cream served at room temperature, it was very runny and not very tasty! Breakfast was a buffet affair with the usual offerings but was strange in as much as there was bread that was marked for toast but no toaster! The coffee was like tar it was so strong and bitter and the buffet was ok at best but limited, things were slow to be replenished and with 2 staff for 40+ diners they did their best but were overwhelmed! All in all the hotel was alright for one night, but we were glad that was all it was for! As I said we stayed here as part of a tour so this is where we were put, if returning to Riga again I would rather find a hotel in a better area and that is a bit more up to date!

The second time Riga, last time I lived in three hotels, Samara, Wellton, and Mecure, still like Wellton. Comprehensive breakfast, Wi-Fi, and the neatness of the room, and Wellton have a spa, although I did not go, but it is definitely a good place to get rid of it. And indeed the location is very good! This time, I stayed for 3 days!

Although the room was nice, had good interior design and a view of Daugava, the overall experience fell short of the 4-star standard. The phone in the room was not working so we had to go downstairs to the reception to order food. The air in the room was stuffy (the air conditioner did not help much) and one of the bathroom towels had a reddish stain on it. Also, some mini-toiletries, slippers etc. would have been nice. The soap and body wash were attached to a wall in a large container which would be just fine for a 3-star hotel but not so much for a 4-star. The positive - the bed was comfortable and the man delivering our room-service was professional and well-mannered.

The location is also good, right on the edge of the old city, it is easy to walk into the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the response was timely, and the stay was very good. There are two small areas that need improvement. Somehow there are steps in the corridor, and it is inconvenient to carry luggage. Let’s all stop pretending we live in palaces. A 3x3 metre room with tasteful “shabby chic” decor and private bathroom is better than I can offer my visitors in my 5-bedroom house in West London. And my visitors are always complimentary. The room was clean, smelt fresh and was bright and comfortable. It cost about a third of the price of the anonymous business hotel I used the previous night. Breakfast was unlimited self-serve in a nearby canteen with and perfectly fine. I booked for one night and stayed for two. I lived for five years in a monastic school in England. This all felt rather familiar - but luxurious by comparison. Pros: It’s right in the heart of the old town. It’s a historic, pretty building which everyone stops to photograph. I used to sit on my deep windowsill pretending to be a local and looking down on the action. Cons: It’s right in the heart of the old town. So expect a bit of noise at night despite the double windows. And reviewers, lay off the young guys who man the desk. They are not unfriendly, they are just Latvian - and they do a perfectly good job. If you want everyone to pretend they’re your best friend, go to Disneyland.

The location of the hotel is deliberately chosen to stay away from the old city. It seems to be right! Very quiet! Walking to the old town for 10-15 minutes Leisure travel is not in a hurry and I feel completely acceptable. The bus station train station has been around for about 14 Euros. You can wait for the bus if you know the route. But the bus time is ah. The room is a single room, the floor is small, but the two beds are very crowded. It is found that people in these countries are not very demanding on the size of the room. Health is OK. There are not many types of breakfast (may I ask for a high point?)  There is no kettle in the room and there is no free water. Go out and walk right hand for 1 minute. There is a supermarket. You can buy some daily necessities. Water Fruit Instant noodles...🤭🤣 The front desk staff is very fluent in English. So no need to help. It was not worthwhile to double the price at the weekend, so I moved to the old town on Friday. There is a Beijing restaurant Chinese restaurant in the entrance to the gate. It can only be said that it is really crazy to eat Chinese food. The taste of foreign countries is not very pure.
