The front desk brother is very good service, very good communication, the room can cook, kitchen utensils are all available, suitable for families and permanent residents, you can cook for yourself, but the parking at the door is tight, you have to find yourself

This is a good little hotel, about as central as you can get with pre-bookable parking (a must if you bring a car). The staff were friendly and the room was quiet with a decent bathroom and comfy bed. Pretty basic but everything you need. Lots of good little restaurants a short stroll away too.

I booked an upgraded room with bathroom based on the high ratings. This two-star hotel delivers a lot for its class. It's centrally located, very clean and modern, and we got a quiet room as requested. This is why I'm rating it this highly. Had I known this was a two star hotel I would have passed. Many of the rooms look charming based on pictures, but ours was spartan, with a tiny window not much bigger than a computer screen and a mini-shelf for a desk. The bathroom had decent towels and a hairdryer but little in the way of amenities I've come to count on in a hotel so I don't have to pack them. Internet access is free but it dropped out too often. Unseasonably high temperatures made our top floor room unbearably hot; even a fan would have helped. If you're on a budget and favor economy and convenience over amenities and comfort, this is the place.

I suspect that this is a hotel that Ibis has recently acquired from another operator, and they are still in the process of bringing it into line with normal Ibis standards. The room décor is not in conformity with some of the photos that are displayed on the Accor and Trip Advisor websites. Maybe only some of the rooms have been redecorated, and the process is ongoing. The other possibility is that Accor are using the same photos for multiple Ibis hotels. The internet is not the normal Accor branded Wi-Fi network, you would expect to find in an Accor hotel. Probably, this came with the property and they have to keep using it until the existing contract expires. The network is OK with most websites, including secure sites. However, I was not able to connect to my CCTV cameras at home. In addition, I was not able to connect to my stock brokerage account with Interactive Brokers. If I managed to connect, I found that I got logged off prematurely. Usually I was unable to connect. After entering passwords and security codes I kept getting looped back to the log-in page. Initially I suspected that there was a problem with my broker's website, but when I contacted them, I learned that the hotel's network was using multiple IP addresses with load balancing software. This meant that the IP address was unstable and kept changing. If the IP address changed mid-session, then IBRK's website would automatically log me off. If the IP address changed during a log-in attempt, (which it usually did), then I would have to start all over again. The hotel's internet is therefore totally unsatisfactory for anything that needs a stable high security connection. The underground car park (which costs €9 per day), has some very nasty angles and restricted manoeuvring space. The best area to use, which is least problematic, is directly ahead of you as you go in on floor -1. Do not turn left and park near the elevator unless you have a very small car. If you do, you will find that driving into a bay is not too problematic, but you will have difficulty when you want to reverse out, if another car has parked close to you. You will not be able to steer until your front wheels are clear of the adjacent car, and you will be hitting the wall behind you before this happens. If you try to reverse into the bay to avoid this problem, you will probably need to turn around to do this. In fact there is very little room to manoeuvre, unless the big disabled parking bay happens to be empty. If you choose to drive down to -2, you will experience difficulty re-entering the ramp when you want to come out. Going down is easy, but you cannot re-enter the ramp in one sweep coming back up. Because of these problems it is highly improbable that I will choose this hotel again. I normally use the Mercure, but it was not available for this visit. Accor are opening a new Novotel in St. Etienne on 15/03/19. Maintenance does not appear to be very good. They initially gave me a r

Good rooms for short stay / business trips. They also have an option to add breakfast during your hotel booking. They serve continental breakfast in buffet. For lunch & dinner you need to go outside as there is no restaurant in this hotel.

Saint-Etienne is a small and quiet city, and this hotel is located opposite the train station. The hotel in Saint-Etienne is considered a relatively high-end hotel with very good facilities. The room is relatively spacious and the breakfast is relatively rich. Next to this hotel is the Ibis hotel, which is connected by an in-building passage between the two. In foreign countries, Novotel hotels are generally connected to Ibis. The two seem to be two brands under the same hotel group. The price of Ibis hotels is a grade lower than that of Novotel. There is a tram downstairs from the hotel, which can reach all parts of the city. Because the city is relatively small, it is actually more convenient to walk everywhere. Overall recommendation.

This is a belated brief review to say how satisfied we were by the Hotel du Midi. It was a brief one night stop-over en route to our skiing destination and, overall, it did not disappoint. Although the room itself was adequate, we would make the following comments: the en suite could have done with a bit of an upgrade, with the shower enclosure being 'tired' especially for a superior room and the wallpaper bubbling off the wall in the corner of the bedroom which was slightly odd in an otherwise newly decorated room. However, the receptionist, Angelica (we hope we have spelled her name correctly) was extremely kind, friendly, and could not do enough to help. She ensured that my husband enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with perfect eggs made to order! We would certainly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is run by a French/Dutch couple who recently took over management of the hotel. We stayed there for two nights and we had a very good time. The rooms are clean, spacious enough and the beds are comfy. We were well rested to visit Sainte Etienne and got some good tips on where to eat and what to do. They also do a nice breakfast, which you can take in the garden (unfortunately it was raining those mornings).

I stayed at this hotel for one night on business in St-Etienne. I must admit that it is difficult to find a good hotel in St-Etienne... this is perhaps one of the better alternatives. But compared to other hotels, it still only gets a 3 out of 5 from me. The staff at check-in was polite, albeit not very enthusiastic. The room was rather bland in style and quality, but clean and had a safe. Night was calm, despite overlooking the free parking. Bedding was average. You could get an iron and small ironing board at the front desk. Location is out of the city center, in front of the local golf course, so rather quiet. Had a drink in the evening on the outside patio. Friendly but a bit chaotic service. Pool was small and exposed to the dining guests. Breakfast was ok. Price was a bit too high for the quality. Overall: average hotel for one night on business of when passing by. I'll keep trying the hotels in the St-Etienne area...

Had a good sized room, quite clean, with TV and wifi, adquat for one night. The price was very affordable, so we got one of the older rooms. Parts of the hotel and rooms are modern, some parts old. No AC, but you can ask for it, some rooms have it, we didn't need it. Some might find the tram passing buy nearby a disturbance, but we slept well. The staff were friendly, and interested, and it was quite clean. Breakfast was not much... It's close to the main road running around the town. Still a bit hard to find due to several one way streets (without gps). Too far to walk to the center of town, but the tram running by the hotell, might get you there. Not much to do nearby, a few restaurants. Pizza Cosy has gooood pizza and beer to buy! All in all, enough for one nights stay when riding throug to your next destination.
