6.68km from Marukin ShokudoA 3-storey guesthouse located on a branch of the Tomoeha River. Megumi speaks enough English to communicate the facilities of the hotel and she is very welcoming. It is very convenient to be able to rent a bicycle from her to ride around town. I slept in one of the western dorm-style beds and it was very comfortable. A thoughtful touch is spare earplugs at the tea station upstairs. One thing I am finding is that when a listing says "shared bathroom facilities, that could mean any number of things! Here, the showers are clean and good, and there are 2 separate and lockable shower cubicles, can be used by men or women. There are toilets on every floor. The guesthouse has a good free breakfast, I had some boiled eggs and a savoury pastry. Toast and jam is also available. They also do hot drinks and meals if needed. It's a reasonable walk from the train station, but it's flat walking.
