This hotel is located near the Sendai station, though the walk from the station to the hotel can take a while on the overpass and may involve stairs (unless you find the elevators.) taking the stairs it may take 5 minutes, about 10 minutes to the trains. Taking the elevator route, a bit longer. The room was very nice, clean, new. Though on the smaller side, it still had many amenities that were very useful. Breakfast was quite delicious with a large variety of dishes. The hotel staff was a bit weird, I would have expected better from a Jal hotel. But overall, this is a decent hotel for the price with central location and nice amenities.

The hotel is about 200 m from the main station with many restaurants and shops. At the station, one of the main shopping malls starts towards the city. Very friendly personnel, complimentary coffee, juice and water from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the lobby. Free WiFi. Very clean rooms, daily cleaning, fridge. Portable free mobile phone with google maps etc. in the room, very helpful in Japan for foreigners. The room was not too large for two persons, but o.k. For working with the PC, I went to the lobby. Very good breakfast, cooked and continental. Hot spa in the ninth floor (Japanese style), but we did not try, Vending machines on the floor, including beer, whiskey-soda etc. We would certainly come back again.

The room is fine (the bathroom is quite small, but okay). The hotel is conveniently close to the train station. It is convenient if you are arriving late in Sendai and you want to leave in the morning. It is possible to walk around and find nice restaurants and shops.

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst at a conference in Sendai. Firstly, through our third-party booking service myself and a collague requested a twin but were given a double, however we feel the third party internet site is to blame for this (or something was lost in translation) rather than the hotel. English spoken by the staff is minimal, but enough to get checked in and check out, pay the bill etc. The room is small but smart, nice shower and reasonably sized (by Japan standards). Breakfast was excellent if very varied (local speciality, grilled cow tongue, and fish as well as standard fare), and it's a short walk to the station and the town centre. The onsen is very quiet and pleasant - my first time in one! I'd recommend this hotel to visitors, but bear in mind it's probably not too distinct compared to many other business/functional hotels in Sendai

Been staying in this particular toyoko inn over the past 15 years visiting my Japanese friends in Sendai. I am also a toyoko inn member over the past 25 years. This is the only horrible experience i have ever come across. As soon as i went into the assigned room 916 at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. Room curtains were already drawn and i was wondering why. However i was meeting my Japanese friends in a rush and didn't really take much notice of it. Upon returning to my room at 10pm. Opened those curtains and found that my assigned room was facing directly the Shinkansen tracks as well as the subway tracks. Couldn't rest at all because of the noise in every 2 to 5 minutes starting from 0502h to 2430h. Couldn't really be bothered to discuss this with the staff because of the 1 night stay only. Hotel Room price was most expensive as Tokyo toyoko inn in Shinjuku. Questions i would like to ask is that there were other twin rooms being available. Why would they assign me the most noisy room? Is that because i am a foreigner who should be treated like this? Please see the uploaded pictures.

I had a great stay at the Richmond Hotel Premier in Sendai in December 2018. I was only able to stay for one night, but it was a treat to myself. The staff were excellent and I had no problems with check-in or check-out. I was able to purchase a box from the hotel in order to have some of my shopping sent directly to my home. The staff were also kind enough to lend me a roll of tape to seal the box as well. The next morning, the front desk clerk assisted me in sending my box by takkyubin (courier) to my home. After check in, I took advantage of the free drinks and ice cream in the lobby. It was nice to be able to sit and relax for a few minutes before heading out to the shops again. My room was very nice. The bed was comfortable and there was a plug in the bedhead. I liked the understated decor and it was very quiet as I was at the end of a hallway. I had breakfast in the morning which was apparently included in my room charge. It was underwhelming, as the salad and fruit were prepacked. The pastries and breads were good and also fresh, they were very nice. I was disappointed that the only eggs on offer were hard boiled so I passed on them. That said, having the breakfast at no charge was a rather nice bonus and kept me going until I had a late lunch. I was able to leave my bags at the hotel both before check-in and after check-out before I caught my bus to my city, so I was able to do quite a bit of running around the city! I often stay at the Richmond Hotel Premier when I am in Sendai as a little treat to myself. It's an affordable luxury for myself and I look forward to my next visit.

I stayed here for one night last year. The capsule hotel is located inside a covered arcade and is within very close walking distance to JR Sendai Station. I found my capsule and the hotel to be extremely clean and the staff - although didn't speak much English - was superb and very helpful. The spa was quite large and I was able to relax there after a day spent traveling. Breakfast was also plentiful. If I ever pass through the city again then I'll definitely consider Topos.

Accessible directly from the station, so very convenient to use as a base for travel to Shiogama, Matsushima or Yamagata. If you want a good view best to request or pay for a room higher in the building. Room size above average, Very clean and modern, and didn't hear or feel like it's so directly connected to the station.

Wanted to stay in hotel with onsen near Sendai station so chosen Dormy, about 15min walk from Sendai station. Our room on high floor, room is fine as expected to be small & compact. Onsen about 930pm+ is overcrowded & busy, need to wait to bath understandable. Bad experience is suddenly hit by splash of showering water on my back :( as someone opposite me obviously didn't adhere to onsen etiquette! Suggest hotel please reinforce this when guest check in so all could enjoy onsen even it's crowded. Next morning went onsen about 615am to avoid large crowd, glad to enjoy some peace... Went breakfast was told our booking didn't include breakfast but our reservation is breakfast included. After clarified they apologize so ok. Breakfast is set type limited choice unlike Dormy Nagano is buffet style much wider varieties. Like the idea of free coffee in lobby area feel welcome. Coffee run out, reception staff is nice to bring me one. After check out glad could leave luggage with hotel as afraid big locker taken up at station & need to catch Shinkansen on time to next destination. Pick up luggage on same day nite hassle free.

Sendai stood up and walked forward, and went straight north to go straight to the commercial pedestrian street less than 200 meters. The double room is large in size and the wife is fed up with 13 square feet in Tokyo and enjoys a day. The front desk opened the proof of accommodation, but the breakfast was small but exquisite. The restaurant is on the second floor, and you can see the pedestrian street through the window. The room is also very soundproof. Especially the hotel has prepared a free mobile phone. It is useless to use it.

I had business trip to Sendai in the Summer 2017 right in the day of Hotel Metropolitan opening (or maybe re-opening after renovation, but nevertheless...) - so I had luck to be one of the first guests of this hotel. Location near (or better to say - right on top of...) the Sendai station made me worried about possible noise (I actually could see Shinkansen trains right from my window), but it was surprisingly silent in the room. Oppositely, location at the transport hub was extremely convenient for my business trip purposes, as I had to fly from the Sendai airport next morning. The room itself was equipped (traditionally fro Japan) with everything you might need and even more, but much bigger than the vast majority of conventional business hotels. And, as the hotel was just open - the furniture, carpets, equipment and so on were absolutely fresh and unused. The most surprising was the bathroom - quite big, separated by the glass door and equipped with an advanced-technological shower, what is unusual for conventional hotels. Ultimately, I liked to stay in this hotel and if you travel by business its absolutely recommended.

The Almont is about an 8 minute walk from the train station with lots of good restaurants in walking distance. We used this hotel as our base in Sendai as we made day trips to Matsushima, Sakunami and Yamadera and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and modern and the WiFi was super fast, which was great. In addition they had a Japanese bath on the 3rd and 4th floor which was a nice addition. Overall, clean rooms, good shower, beds and WiFi, and great location. Perfect for a stay in Sendai!

The hotel is clean and hygienic. Remember to come out of the station and look for ヨドバシ directly. Go down the escalator closest to ヨドバシ. When you get off the escalator, you will see a bird string sign on the opposite road on your right. Walk about 50 meters to that intersection. The hotel is here, the beef tongue specialty shop downstairs must try it. It is super delicious. The lunch beef tongue set meal includes tax for more than 1,700 yen, and the dinner beef tongue set meal is more than 2,200 yen.

When we first checked in, we were pleasantly surprised how friendly and welcoming their front desk staff was and spoke such good English as well, unlike many other hotels we have stayed in during this trip. But it quickly gone down hill from there. When we checked into our room, we realised that it was very warm and we were not able to switch the air con on to cool it down. The only option was to switch off the heater and opened the window, which was really only a small vent to prevent people from jumping out or fall out by accident I suppose? We rang the front desk about this and was offered a small fan to use in the room. It was bearable but not the most amazing condition to sleep in. As we were going to Ginzan onsen after our first night in Sendai, we already had a second night booked for us to return to after Ginzan onsen, we wanted to cancel our booking but was too late. Upon our return, we were allocated the same corner room but one floor up. Unfortunately, this time the room was even warmer and it felt like 28 degree with the sun shining through. The window was all fogged up due to the heat and even the corridor and the laundry room were much cooler than our room. We asked for the portable fan again and opened the window vent but it wasn't doing much and we knew we just wouldn't be able to sleep in such heat at all. Not to mention that we hadn't even had a bath yet at that stage, which was the main reason we booked this hotel over others so we could relax after a day out in the cold. So we went down to the front desk to discuss this and the male staff we spoke to, offered us an ice pack to sleep with. We were both speechless as we could not believe a 3.5 star hotel would provide such ridiculous solution to their guests. I told him that an ice pack is just not acceptable as paying guests. His colleague overheard what we have said and stepped in to assist. She apologised and offered us to check out other rooms to see if they were any better. She also agreed that the rooms were too warm. We eventually found one that have windows on both sides which appeared to be slightly cooler. We had both window vents opened throughout the night as well as the portable fan on. While we were grateful for the female staff who offered us an upgrade to a slightly cooler room, we found it hard to believe that a relatively new hotel does not have the ability to allow guests to have either air con or heating in their room. Not to mention the insult of sleeping with ice packs. Never again will we ever consider any of the Mitsui Garden hotels.

We stayed here for 4 nights to use this as a base to visit not only Sendai, but also Matsushima bay and Yamadera Temple. - Location: pefect for travellers. It is just outside Sendai station. The Sendai city loop bus (tourist bus) is 5 minutes from the hotel at the main bus station. You can visit the main landmarks in the city with this bus. There is a good Izakaya around the corner called Tsukasa! - Service: The staff was friendly. We used Yamato bagage service to send our bags from our previous hotel to this one. It was a smooth proces. - Breakfast: good buffet with lots of choice. More fish than we are used to, but that's normal in this area. Its also a good option as a restaurant in the evening. Overall a good hotel with a beautiful lobby in my opinion and great location.
