After a day of literally planes, trains, and automobiles (taxis), we have arrived at our hotel in Pisa, Antiche Navi Pisano. It's a boutique hotel off the beaten path. It is not walking distance Tom the main train station but there is a station within walking distance. The rooms are more studio apartments than hotel rooms. I could actually see someone living here long term. They clean and comfortable, though the "king" size bed was just a couple of mattresses on a wood frame. The bed was still extremely comfortable. The front desk was a little different, more like back in an office or a large closet. The attendant was very informative about the hotel amenities. We did note that they're very strict about the rules...breakfast is over at 10:00 AM, if it's nice you may eat on the patio outside; housekeeping is from 10:00 to 12:00, vacate your room or you will not receive service. But best thing was this hotel was a short distance to the Tower (walking distance) and there were quite a few decent restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at this hotel earlier than expected as the airport is a mere ten minutes away in a taxi. Our room was not ready but the kind gentleman was happy for us to leave our luggage whilst we went exploring. This was around 12 pm and within 10 minutes we were standing in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The journey, on foot is easy. Turn left outside of the hotel and at the top of the road you will find it. Upon returning a couple of hours later our room was ready. A good sized room with a lovely large double bed and a single bed for our 14 year old Son. Both were very nice. The room was spotless and had a coat rack plus a good sized wardrobe, desk, television. Also worth noting is that the window overlooks the main road which is busy during the day but very quiet at night. The double glazing windows shut out pretty much any noise. Also attached is some charming shutters which block out nearly all the light. There is also an insect screen attached. Worth noting as Pisa is noted for having mosquitos. Despite going in late October we left the screen up and the window open a crack and on our second night we all received bites. Nothing serious but slightly uncomfortable. Of course this was our mistake and nothing to do with the hotel. They cannot control the insects nor the foolish actions of their guests! Shut the screen people! Breakfast is a relatively simple affair with croissants, rolls, jams, cheese, pre packaged toast and chocolate spread. Perfectly adequate. The coffee is delicious as is the orange juice and the hot chocolate my Son had. The ideal location of the hotel means not only is it good for the more visited sites but also great for exploring the old town. Come out of the hotel, turn left, cross the road and take the next road on your right. This road travels through the old town down to the Arno River. It's a lovely, relaxing walk through some lovely piazzas and through some beautiful cobbled streets. On the whole this is an extremely good 2 star hotel with a lovely front garden and benches and very helpful and friendly staff. We would recommend it and thank everyone at the Primavera who made out 2 night/3 day stay a very nice one.

We flew in to Pisa Airport and got the shuttle to Central Station. It was about a 15 minute walk to the hotel and an even shorter walk to the Tower. The owner had kindly agreed to a 1pm check in. He texted us details to find the keys and let ourselves in. The Poetry room was on the ground floor off the shared kitchen/breakfast room. It was a good size with a large double bed. The ensuite had all the essentials with toiletries and hot water for the shower. We only used the shared kitchen to make coffee but it seemed more than adequate. Despite being on the road it was quiet and we slept well. I can't comment on the aircon as we didn't need it. The Wi-Fi worked well. We like to look after ourselves and eat out but felt Michelle was only a text or call away if needed. It was perfect for us.

We were very cold on the first night even though they had given us a remote for the heating it didn’t seem to work and was noisy. The second night I think the maid had changed the settings as it was much warmer and not as noisy. We had a drink in the restaurant where you get a discount which was nice, and the food looked good. They also gave us a bottle of prosecco for my birthday which was a really nice touch! Overall I’d stay here again!

The hosts were fantastic. Andrea checked us in, gave us all the important information including places to visit in Pisa and restaurants (we tried Alle Bandierine from this list and it was amazing!). There is a lift in the property which is very useful. Our first room had a kitchen attached, and there were complimentary crackers, drink and biscuits for our arrival. Unfortunately there was a water leak in our bathroom due to a broken pipe under the sink (these things happen!) but the hosts reacted in the best way and we were moved to another room within 30 seconds (a bigger room too!). It was all very smooth and they were very accommodating. The room was very spacious and comfortable. There were two locked doors before entering our room and the wardrobe was locked with a key so we felt very safe leaving our things. The breakfast was served in a pretty room with the other Andrea hosting this time. A good selection of continental breakfast! We left our luggage with the hosts after checking out and picked up later. The location is perfect for exploring everywhere on foot. I would definitely recommend staying here whilst in Pisa.

I'm not really sure why this place isn't marked more highly on trip advisor. I've just had a really comfortable night's stay here and was able to get up, have breakfast and chill out. We have a massive room on the bottom floor at the street side of the building and haven't been disturbed at all. When we arrived yesterday we were let in almost straight away and the owner was contactable via telephone and what's app. He let us in and showed us around. There is fresh cake in the morning and all the tea and coffee you can drink. The kitchen is also there all day too if you need to cook. The accomodation has a lovely big back garden (yard) and there are orange and lemon trees growing outside. Seems like genuine Italy to me. There are vending machines if you need them so you dont need to pop out at night if you want a juice or a snack. There's even a coffee vending machine if you dont want to brew your own. Shower room is shared, but I was okay with this before booking. We booked through Ryanair rooms as I dont really trust other booking sites any more. We paid the owner directly on arrival and could have paid with cash or card. No problems. Would recommend if you want a genuine Italian stay. Extras are a TV in the room and towels are provided.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms spacious and the beds really comfortable. Will repeat for sure next time in Pisa!!!

Definitely not “luxury” but it was clean and comfortable. Seems to be the luck of the draw. Maybe better for couples than families. Downsides: 1. It wasn’t clear which room we were allocated at booking. We emailed & specifically asked for a room with a bath. At first they responded saying we hadn’t been allocated the room with a bath. We thus emailed back asking if we could have a bath as we were travelling with a 1 year old. We chased again & said we would need to change accommodation if this couldn’t be accommodated, but would assume that this could be accommodated unless they advised to the contrary. Upon arrival we were told that this hadn’t been arranged so we were regrettably left having to wash our baby in the sink! They then denied having received our emails - even though they’d responded to one & the emails were all in the same email chain. Their response was a shrug. We took their word for it & got on with it, however. 2. We had prepaid 48 Euros per day for breakfast as the Arts Cafe sounded lovely. However we were told on arrival that the Arts cafe was closed. No explanation was given as to why we were only told upon arrival. We reluctantly therefore agreed to try the apartment’s own breakfast at the same cost. They then proceeded to provide our 1 & 4 year old children with coffee (yes, coffee!!) to drink with their ham sandwich breakfast. 3. We politely declined their breakfast the second day & asked for them to refund the breakfast sum of 48 Euros pre-paid for the second day. They said they couldn’t do so. No explanation as to why. 4.We were allocated the room atop 4 flights of stairs. Not the easiest with a young family and no lift.

This is a great little place out of the hustle and noise of the city, but only minutes away. Spacious rooms queen size beds ( a little firm for me, but very comfortable), Air conditioning works well and is quiet. Quaint dining room with excellent complimentary breakfast, the table is set before you get there. Super friendly staff that goes out of there way to greet you and see how your day is going. Dinner is also very good. The dinner fare is traditional Italian, great selection of wines and a reasonably stocked bar if wine is not your thing. This also looks to be a great place to do a destination wedding or other event. They've had a couple events during our stay an it looked like all had a great time. They had it beautifully decorated, music, food and drink, but you'd not know it when you went to your room. Great place overall. Ciao

We had an overnight in Pisa due to a flight arriving at 9pm and stayed here since it was close to the train station and cheap, and I was told we could check in late at night, if needed. We arrived to the B&B around 10:15pm and check in was no problem (but we had to call since buzzing downstairs didn't get a response). For the price, I simply don't see how anyone can complain. If you expect the Ritz for like €60, then you're not being realistic. We had a double bedroom with private bath, and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable for two adults and a three year old. Breakfast was nothing special, but again, for the price, don't expect a chef making you customised omelettes. Breakfast had freshly made coffee, boiled eggs, fruit, packaged baked goods, and a few other items. We were an easy walk to the tower and got to see it before heading out to Florence around noon. Everyone at the B&B was super nice. At least one person commented on the lady at reception living on site. She appears to have an apartment connected to the B&B. I don't understand the issue, as many B&B's you stay at have the hosts living on site. She was perfectly nice, just speaks limited English, which is fair considering she lives in Italy. All in all, for a short trip in Pisa with a great location for seeing the main sights and getting to/from the airport and anywhere else by train, this place is great.

Absolutely loved this apartment. I was not expecting such a lovely open living area, beautifully decorated and so inviting. The bedroom was lovely and very comfortable. The 2 ladies we dealt with were so helpful. They let us leave our bags even though we arrived way too early. We were flying early the following morning, before breakfast was due to be served but they kindly left us everything we needed in the fridge and set the table for us so that we could grab a nice breakfast before our flight. Highly recommend this apartment. So convenient to the tower and the cathedral. This was our favourite place of 6 different apartments, b&b, hotels we stayed in on our 16 night tour of Italy.

I have stayed here numerous times when catching an early flight from Pisa. The owner has 2 buildings, the one nearest to the airport by 100 metres has just been upgraded to 4 modern & comfortable bedrooms with private bathroom. The old 5th bedroom is now the breakfast room. These rooms are more expensive than those in the 2nd building where bathrooms are shared but everything in both is spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Nice little bar opposite for a light meal. Will soon be staying there again!

We totally loved our stay here. We wished we had booked longer than one night. The host was so accommodating and helpful. She recommended a wonderful restaurant (it was my birthday so even better) and the place was clean, quiet and great parking right up front. We had a hard time finding the location (which we found in most cities in Italy) but she came and met us and helped us drive right to the B&B. I highly recommend staying here in Pisa. Wiithin a very short walking distance from Pisa railway station and the tram for the airport, the main shopping street and the river, Audrey & Me is a delightful and reasonably-priced B&B with several impressive double bedrooms with an Audrey Hepburn theme and excellent bathrooms. It is not in a particularly salubrious part of old Pisa and you let yourself in through a rather forbidding front door by using a code and haul your luggage up to the first or second floor and collect the key to your room, but our spacious bedroom was a real surprise - spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated in a modern hotel style and with a very comfortable large double bed, a good TV, A/C and nice towels. This is an old building and the window shutter did rattle slightly in the strong wind on our night's stay but this did not prevent us from enjoying a good night's sleep. The continental buffet breakfast had enough choice for us and was served by a quiet but attentive older lady, who appeared to speak no or very little English but that was not a problem. If desired, you are able to sit out and enjoy breakfast, a bottle of wine etc. on an outside terrace, which is a nice touch. Would definitely consider using this B&B again if returning to Pisa as it's ideally located for the station and tram to the airport about Ik away and good value for money.

This hotel was absolutely fine for what we needed - somewhere to sleep and shower, basically. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful and sold us our bus tickets so we could get into the centre of Pisa from the bus stop just a few steps up the road. The breakfast offering was fine - no hot food, but plenty of other things to eat and all tasty. The room was fine, kept fairly clean throughout. My only criticism would be that it got incredibly hot in there. We had unseasonably warm weather while we were there, but the windows were the sort that didn't have brackets to keep them in place, so it's either closed or WIDE open - not what you want with insects about. The unit over the door was more of a fan than actual air-conditioning. Putting that on full basically moved the air around and made it just about possible to sleep, but only just. The walls were incredibly thin which meant our noisy, inconsiderate neighbours were very audible. However, other guests are not the fault of the hotel, so I haven't marked down for that, just thought it was worth mentioning. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend taking earplugs. The location, as others have said, is a little bit out of the centre of Pisa, but given just how close the bus stop is, and how cheap the buses are, it wasn't a problem. Download the "Teseo" app to get live updates - though there is a printed timetable at the bus stop. There's not much around the hotel at all, other than the Pennymarket and a little row of shops with a bakery and a pizzeria. It was very much a pizzeria for locals, but I always think that's a good sign! We used it one night since we'd had a day out and weren't ready to eat dinner, so we went back to the hotel, then went down there one evening - very nice, and the man I suspected was the owner/manager was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Well priced, too. Overall, if you're looking to save money on a more central hotel and are happy to catch the bus into the centre, then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. If you're looking for something upmarket, then I'd steer clear.

When we booked our trip to Pisa we went by the recommendations on various sites, the photos looked impressive, so we decided this would suit us. We advised that we would not be arriving until evening, we forwarded copies of our passports as requested, and were informed that on arrival we should phone, telephoen number was provided. We booked a taxi to take us from the airport which I am glad we did, otherwise we would never have found the property as it was nothing like the photos we had seen. To get into the building you had to use a buzzer but as there was no one there to let us in, we had to wait until someone arrived, lucky for us, a resident of the building was going in so let us in also, after a long day travelling we just wanted to get into the room and relax, but instead we had to hang about waiting for someone to come and check us in,eventually they did. The room was nice, with a really good shower, and the location is great, halfway between train station and Leaning tower of Pisa, this made up for the problems when we booked in, altogether not too bad a place to stay but I prefer less hassles.

We spent one night in this B&B. Very clean and well maintained. We were the only Americans that evening and everyone was pleasant. The Il Mattino is located in a quiet neighborhood to the east of main Pisa. It was a 20 minute walk to the Duomo. Breakfast the next morning was standard fare for an Italian B&B, and by that I mean it was very good. The manager suggested we park our rental car about a block away to prevent any possible damage due to the narrow street. A very nice B&B and I would stay there again.

In a nutshell this place is perfect in many ways , the owner is super friendly , the entire place is spotlessly clean , room is lovely and cosy , breakfast is laid out well and caters for most people and the location is brilliant. Although on the busy main pedestrianised street the double glazing cuts out pretty much all of any noise there is , literally five minutes walk from the train station , bars and places to eat are on your doorstep . We spent two nights here and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. We would absolutely stay here if we were visiting Pisa again.

Stayed here for one night during our trip to Northern Italy. Arrived by plane to Pisa airport and then walked to the hotel, takes about 15 minutes. Check in was easy, polite friendly staff and a super cute dog, Snoopy. The room was good, basic but very clean. The free mini-bar consisting of water, cola, juice and coffee pods was a lovely touch. Two croissants on the side for breakfast. The only downside was the noise, we stayed in the Baptistery Room which faced out onto the main road, the windows are pretty thin so don’t expect much quiet. This didn’t bother us as we can sleep with noise, but worth mentioning. The location is ok, but we knew this ahead of time, about a ten minute walk to the train station and main high street, about 25 minutes to the tower. All-in-all we were impressed with the value for money, and would happily stay again.

A genuine hidden gem in the historic heart of Pisa. Ideal for exploring neighbouring Tuscan towns and cities, including Lucca, Pistoia and of course Florence. Entering through a grand eighteenth century doorway into an idyllic courtyard garden you know instantly you are in for a treat. The lobby areas are beautifully decorated and everywhere you look there are books - on shelves, on tables, in piles following you up the stairs. Our hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and clearly took great pride in their business. The rooms were spacious and again furnished with impeccable taste. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer, although I know this will become a regular stopping off point for future visits to Tuscany.

They also gave us a bottle of prosecco for my birthday which was a really nice touch! Overall I’d stay here again!

Pisa City Center
One of the best hotels we've stayed in, very helpful and obliging staff, great taxi service from/to airport for 10 euros each way (much cheaper than a regular taxi), located in centre of Pisa but just off main street, 10-15 walk from Leaning Tower and Cathedral. Room was very clean, nice bed with free bottled water and reaqsonably priced drinks and snacks in fridge. Walls in rooms and restaurant were beautifully and very cleverly hand painted pictures of local scenes &Tapestry effect. A fantastic choice of food and fresh fruits at breakfast that will keep you going for the rest of the day. Very good restaurants a short walk away, all in all a perfect stay, you won't be dissapointed

Pisa City Center
The host greets us at the door, and takes us up to his appartement at the 2nd floor (there is a very small elevator). There are two rooms in the appartment, and you share the bathroom with the guests at the other room (one bathroom with toilet/shower, and one small bathroom with a toilet). The room we got was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the breakfast room has all the food you ever knew you wanted. Also good for those with gluten intolerance. The appartment is a 8 minute walk from the Central Train Station in Pisa, so it’s very well situated. To the the Tower of Pisa, it’s a 25 min walk. Two cats also live in the appartment, and they create a very homely feeling. I definitely think that this B&B is very well worth the money.
