So much nicer than I expected! Coming from the States I had pretty low expectations for a Super 8. But wow could the American Super 8s learn a few things from this place. The room is sparkling clean and modern, with comfy beds and bedding. The breakfast is fabulous, with eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, breads, cheeses, juice, delectable croissants, choice of coffee drinks, and more. There’s a spacious new lobby with sofas and lounge chairs. They will cook you a nice thin crust pizza. You can buy wine and beer. Is this even a Super 8?!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. They will give you a free drink coupon if you are willing to pass on your room being cleaned each morning. This is great because the only negative thing about the hotel is that the train station is the closest place to get coffee or food. It’s not far, but it is better if you can have coffee right after waking up.

Hotel clean, staff friendly, location good. Rooms small, bathroom even smaller. Matches good and firm. Water cooker (powdered and calcified) with tea and coffee free. Rooms to the rhine with balcony. Sounds like a good idea, in the heat is in fact a disaster: the sun blows into air conditioning there is no rooms are 30 degrees and more. Open windows mean the feeling to be located next to a frequently driven street incl. exhaust odour. Hotel has winter bed covers on the rooms. Ventilator only on request (also dust). I think such rooms are not to be rented for the price in summer.

Nice, new hotel. The room size and the view of the water were much better than I expected for this hotel category. The room layout was a bit strange (shower and sink in the room, only a small toilet is separated separately). When I arrived, the hotel garage was already full (it is probably quite small and advance reservation is not possible), but the Zollhafen Weinlager underground car park is within walking distance and costs a maximum of 1 hour per hour.

This hotel is located just next to the Wiesbaden-Biebrich Castle Park. My wife and I have been on the bike. For the night we have been offered a safe deep garage parking space for free. The rooms may not be the last cry, but also not habituated. All in all high standard and clean. Breakfast buffet, rhetoric was served at the table. Of course everything is hygienic, with mask and distance. I would recommend the house.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the AC hotel in Mainz. Although it is across the street from the train station, the sound of multiple trains and trams is not heard in hotel rooms. But the convenience of being close to a transportation center cannot be understated. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, the front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant (Adam and Eden) has windows overlooking the area. Since we were visiting family members in Mainz, we only ate breakfast there, but it included an amazing buffet. In fact, we invited our family to join us for a delicious breakfast all 3 days of our stay. Last but not least, out wait staffer, Osiris (sp?) was a real pleasure, anticipating our needs before we asked. His professionalism and sence of humor helped make our journey special. He is a treasure. Joy & Larry of California

Unfortunately I got the room on the backside but still got the top floor, so won't complain. They have AC and heater(separately). Just only one hair in found in the bathroom is the diasadvantage. Oh well, the blanket seems to be smaller than a queen bed. Maybe because I book just for one, anyway I hope to get a big one. A women at the reception I met was nice, friendly. This was the first hotel we stayed at, as part of a 7 month trip through Europe and Africa. Will admit - not the best idea, as this apartment is SO NICE, that you'll end up comparing all your future hotel rooms against it (and they'll probs come up short). Beautiful converted building, spacious rooms, everything feels recently renovated and clean. The owner was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way to help us. Our room looked over the main square and fountain, and was extremely nice to fall asleep at night with the window opening listening to people walk past, eating at cafe and the fountain in the background. Only thing to note is that the beds seem a little small. We're used to a king at home, or queen when we travel. This may indeed be a queen, but it feels like a double. I fell off the bed (while sleeping) one night we stayed. Not fun as bed is quite high. Excellent stay in Mainz, and a great alternative to Frankfurt if they're having a convention (and the prices go sky-high). Old town here is small, but there's enough stuff to keep one busy for a few days.

I was called this morning by a lady from the favorite restaurant. She wanted to talk to me about my criticism. First you told me that the service staff had a completely different perception and that the restaurant had cameras installed and everything was recorded. First, the information about the cameras irritated me, but I answered that it is in principle good, because it was all recorded and can be assessed in fact. The perception of the servants did not seem to me to be related to facts. Objectively, I can understand – What can you tell the chief if you are in an explanation need... The lady wanted to hear my version again, it was hardly because you've always interrupted me. She took words in her mouth that I would never use, namely it was claimed that I don't want to be “filled” when the server wanted to give me the same wine once 2-tes without asking if I wanted to. The next time it went on and a new corresponding wine should be served. Finally, I said I do not find the conversation to be targeted and I would like to finish it. Finally, the lady has told the audience that you don't want to see us in this restaurant. All right! I wrote that in my criticism that we don't come anymore. Maybe not everything was read or the lady wanted the last word. For me, this is an example of a painful reprocessing...and unfortunately confirms me in what I wrote. There are so great restaurants in Frankfurt, where there were several times, such as Villa Merton, La Fleur, (previously Emma Metzler), Maintower or Lohninger – there is quality, service and friendliness and we're going back there! PS tip error correction from the main criticism: Keller = Keller; if= who

We had googled our way to the fact that the Hilton Mainz has a very good location right down to the Rhine and you can purchase access to the hotel's ”Executive Lounge”. We booked 5 nights and we were ready for a little vacation by the Rhine. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were quickly and efficiently checked in by Mrs. Blanco Flores, who upgraded us to a room with a view of the Rhine. Mrs. Flores made us aware, that the ”Executive Lounge” was unfortunately not that big, but we had to see that with our ”own eyes”. Really good service was provided upon check-in, and our expectations for the stay at the hotel became greater. The room we had been allocated was on the 5th floor with a wonderful view of the Rhine. We had booked a room with breakfast, so we were excited to see, how the breakfast buffet was. But we were very pleasantly surprised there 😊.. There was a reasonably large selection of various breads and hot items, so it was just a matter of getting started with breakfast. The hotel allows you to sit outside and enjoy your breakfast with a view of the Rhine, and watch the people walking and cycling past. We were very lucky with the weather, so breakfast was enjoyed for a little longer time than usual. After breakfast, we went up and see how the ”Executive Lounge” was. But unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. The ”Executive Lounge” consists of 2 small rooms, where there were 3 tables in each room, and 3 people could sit at each table. When we got outside the time when alcoholic drinks are served, we could see that you could have a cup of coffee or an apollinaris. The snacks on display looked a bit boring, and the fruit wasn't of the best quality either. But cheer up, it could be good in the evening... But when we visited the ”Executive Lounge” in the evening, beer, wine and spirits were on display - but the snacks that were also on display didn't seem particularly inviting - so we didn't take any of them. Summary of our experience of the ”Executive Lounge” is that it is not necessary to purchase access to the ”Executive Lounge”. And we can only encourage hotel management to go on a study trip to Düsseldorf or Dresden, where we have experienced what an ”Executive Lounge” should really be like. In general, the level of service is very high, and the staff a super good service at the hotel 😊... Here we have to highlight in particular: Mrs. Flores from the reception, Heike from the breakfast restaurant and Brittany from Guest Relations. They gave us a really good service during our stay. In summary, we would give the hotel 4 stars out of 5. If the hotel should have had the last star, the ”Executive Lounge” must be upgraded with better rooms. (Could space be created for a small area down in the restaurant area, so that you also have the opportunity to sit outside on the warm summer evenings. We would like to come again at another time to enjoy the good location and super service 😊..

I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 pm, and had sent an email in advance to let them know I will be arriving before official check-in time. My email was literally answered within minutes, and I was happy to find out that they had a room ready for me when I got to the hotel. The reception was busy, so I had to wait for a while as one party was checking in and another checking out, but when it became my turn, the friendly receptionist had me checked in within minutes. My room on the second floor was very nice for a three star hotel, and I might even go as far as to say that the room met four star standards. It was probably recently renovated, as it felt very fresh and modern and was in impeccable condition. It was not very large, but came with a balcony and a view of the park outside the hotel. There was a desk&chair, a closet, a safe and good A/C, but no water bottle, no fridge and no sitting area. Wifi was easy to use and fast, however, I believe Youtube was banned, because all other websites worked fine but I was not able to access Youtube at all. That felt a bit strange. The queen bed, although too soft for my taste, was otherwise fine for one person although the pillow was flimsy and I had to request another one, which was gladly brought up to my room. There were sockets by the bed, so charging your devices overnight was easy. The bathroom was also clean and fresh and felt recently renovated. The walk-in shower came with excellent water pressure. There was enough room for toiletries etc by the sink, however the bath towel was extremely small. Amenities only included soap, shampoo and shower gel. No conditioner or body lotion. These came in wall-mounted containers, of which I am not a fan because I don’t find them particularly hygienic. I wish hotels saved money in other ways and not by abandoning single-use toiletries. The hotel serves breakfast in the ground floor breakfast room from 6:30 to 10:30, and from 7 to 12 on weekends. My rate did not include breakfast, but I popped in the first morning to see the spread. It was definitely not worth the price (20.50 EUR), so my suggestioon would be to buy something at the supermarket a block away or to have breakfast in a nearby café. I had a late flight out, and was informed that they could extend my check-out until 12:30 pm at no charge, and beyond that they offered a late check-out at 4 pm for 19 EUR. It was a bargain and I was happy to take up on the offer. The hotel is located two minutes from the main railway station, and I walked to all the sights and restaurants in the city centre area. The Markt and Dom (cathedral) is about a 15 min walk from the hotel. I found the location excellent and will be sure to stay here again if my travels take me to Mainz in the future.

Of particular enjoyment were the facilities; the sauna and the plunge pool were popular among the players, especially after the games and helped soothe sore muscles! Special thanks go to Frank, Abdel, Helene and Aida, who did a wonderful job looking after our needs and who were especially patient with our younger team members in the small hours...! Unfortunately, we were not the only well-being on the weekend who wanted to visit the Mainz. It was breaking full and the hotels were selected. The location to the city centre is good, especially as you are fast on the promenade. Unfortunately, our room was close to the elevator plus the two streets, where the traffic was clearly hearable despite closed windows. The rooms are renovated, the bathrooms are new, light and clean. The shower is large, unfortunately with a shower hang (not so smooth yet). Small TV, but it's enough because of the distance to bed. Beds are rather hard but still comfortable. All in all clean. The service was ok. Parking is possible in the nearby public parking house and costs 10 euros per day.
