I came to Srilanka for official work for 1 day, checked in at around 1900 Hrs on 25th.Nov. I got a lot of horrible experiences with this hotel and some excellent services which i want to highlight. #Good part: 1. It's located at the middle of the city, best location. 2. Reception is good, i met with only one guy there, Mr. Dilsan who was very friendly and welcoming character with big smile. 3. Have their own restaurant with room services which is very fast. #Horrible Experience: 1. They allocated to me Room No: 24 (2nd floor). I opened the door but the room was completely messed up. I went back to reception immediately and mentioned it. They told me , it was a misunderstanding with housekeeping so they gave me another room.23 (2nd floor). 2. I got extra bed there even i was single but it didn't bother me that much. But there were not any towels and drinking water in my room which made me more upset. 3. Safe-box was out order and the door lock also not working properly. You have to push or pull the door hardly to lock it. Make sure that your door is locked before you leave the room. 4. Wifi Facilities is just for name only, most of the time it's not working, if it works also then it's very very slow. At last, i will like to thank this team for everything and i hope other guest will not experience this kind of horrible experience.

Boutique cosy place to stay in Colombo if you wish to stay with a style. Team Rockwell Colombo give you personalized butler service to make life time memories. They did various things to surprise us. On arrival there was a wishing for our anniversary with a Cake with candles and balloons. Then it was for the dinner , Candlelight dinner at the rooftop and it was only for us. Everyday there was many bed arts with the service and with a small note to have a great day. Food was great and it was in our choices. Speciality is they prepare it Infront of us. So we know what we eat. All in the end it was great service. Good rooms , good staff, Good food we had. I do recommend this place d

The Jetwing Colombo Seven at Ward Place is a great location!! We recently had a fundraising event at the Kynsey Hall. We wish to thank Kanishka of F&B for his prompt and very efficient service, accommodating our every need effortlessly. He tailored the menu keeping in mind the vegetarians among us. It was a sumptuous tea/coffee buffet, served hot and served on time. We like to specially thank Ishini from Banquet Sales for her prompt response and support. We would also like to thank the staff for their impeccable service. The function hall is well maintained and the room is fully equipped with projection equipment and tastefully furnished. We are receiving a lot of positive feedback from the guests of the events and they were very pleased with the food and the staff of the hotel. All in all, it was very well organised - with all requirements met by the hotel. You will definitely see us again Jetwing Colombo Seven! Thank you Jetwing Colombo Seven!

Our first night in Sri Lanka was spent here and it was fantastic! Colombo itself doesn’t have a huge amount to see - our TukTuk tour was a bit like being in traffic for an hour... but, this hotel is a great place for a first night straight off the plane. The rooms are huge and ‘colonial’ style with massive beds. The best thing by far though about this place is the restaurant. We had booked somewhere for dinner locally (flamingo) which was awful! So we came back and had a second dinner followed by a beautiful breakfast the morning after...

We stayed one night in July, booking it specifically for its location really close to Maradana station - literally a two minute walk. We also had the airport pick up, it was 4000 LRK (including using the express way). Probably could get it a bit cheaper but we knew we’d be tired from long haul flight so just wanted to know we’d have pick up arranged which went perfectly smoothly. The hotel itself is basic but bed was really comfortable and it’s great value for money. It wasn’t 100% spotless and is a bit dated but I would stay again. I’ve given it 4/5 for its value and comfort.

The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The neighbourhood is quiet and upscale. The staff are helpful and very friendly. I like this place. I will come again. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted. They let me put my champagne in their fridge. I didn’t have to go out to eat, there is room service from the restaurant next door, Pure Kitchen, and the food is outstanding. But what stands out the most about this hotel is that the rooms are immaculate

This was the sixth and final hotel we visited over 2 weeks in SL - whilst they were all refreshingly different with their own usps, this was the best! A lovely old doctor's house, close to the heart of town but an oasis of tranquility. The old feel of the place had been wonderfully maintained, the public spaces airy and calm with antique furniture throughout, with a sympathetic extension at the back to create a superb courtyard with pool and dining area. Our room opened onto the courtyard and was cool and spacey, with large bathroom and small private garden at the back. The staff were uber-polite, calm and attentive. The food was great - the widest breakfast choice, all superbly prepared, and we had one excellent dinner there. The hotel is small which means it keeps the personal touch - it's also clearly popular with locals so has a charming busyness about it. A fantastic end to our holiday - would give it six stars if the system allowed!

Such a beautiful and very well presented boutique villa, run by a well informed manager and house lady. We had the best stay here as the staff were the best and the house lady was such a beautiful person with a soul that reached into your heart. Delicious breakfast served when you request at an enormous beautiful table. So much to see here as antiques collected throughout. Dinner or lunch is not available on site but they will order in take away if required or will order transport to any dining experience you desire. We went to TGI Friday which was wonderful experience. Nothing was any trouble for the staff he xx

It was my first time in Sri Lanka with my family. After looking at dozens of hotels online, we landed upon this service apartment. The accommodation can be described as lukewarm; it's cozy, spacious, and furnished enough to make you feel comfortable - at the same time, it doesn't have that much grandeur to its services. You'll be required to self-cater your stay here, which is not a problem as there is a huge department store right across the street from this place. I recommend staying here if you are coming for vacation as a huge group; friends, family etc.

We stayed in the very clean deluxe double room for four nights and our 4th and final accommodation of a lovely long holiday. The room is magnificent, very high ceiling, lovely comfy super king four poster bed, sofa area and very large bathroom, even with bath jacuzzi which was all show and not much performance. The bedroom had two aircon units because the room is so big and the first time in weeks I slept without a direct draft. The bed was very comfy and having a kettle for hot drinks was lovely. The fashion feature was the shower being open to the elements, making the bathroom a different temperature to the bedroom. This also didn’t help with insect like Cockroaches visiting, not what you want to meet for that midnight pee!! We had no problem with mosquitoes in the room which was a plus. Breakfast was ok, only two set choices, not all of us eat that much! We had better breakfasts elsewhere for half the price. Staff where very nice, youngest being very shy. We received a restaurant suggestion which was great. The pool was cool and great for those hot city feet, it’s not a swimming pool. We where very surprised that most Tuk Tuk driver don’t know there way round their own city! This place is beside the biggest cemetery and we have to work out directions! Here to the Fort 280rs.

As the hotel restaurant had been bombed last April,2019, the services area has not been resumed yet so It is troublesome for the breakfast to the Courtyard with the limited space and not big variety of foods as before. I did try to have one Sri-Lanka dinner in the outside of the Courtyard in open area, It served local cousins with small scale of foods but did have some local traditional music playing with the drums. Overall, It is required time to maintain the previous atmosphere and the Travllers as I views that is only 50% as compared to the early 2019. Everything is slow in the moment. Will come back later this year to have a look again.

The building was decorated for christmas which made it even more beautiful. Hotel room is spacious, clean and beautiful. Bed is comfy as well. The Bvlgari toiletries are a nice touch. Breakfast selection is vast and tasty. Truly a 5 star experience. The only grouse that it was rather noisy at night as the hotel was hosting a wedding. Perhaps more sound proofing will be required.

The front desk and staff were generally kind. However, unlike Japanese hotels, the amenities did not have a toothbrush or shaving, and there were no slippers in the room, so Japanese travelers should be careful. We used it because we took it on board. Then, what happened on the day I forgot the chip was not clear whether it was intentional or forgotten, but the desk lamp had fallen down and there was no bath towel. There were many kinds of buffet for breakfast and it was delicious. However, when I asked for coffee, I was surprised to get a cup that seems to be unused from another table and follow me. I didn't use the other restaurants in the hotel, so I don't know, but there was no supermarket or snack shop nearby so I booked breakfast and was right. I've tried walking around the neighborhood, but it's better to think that walking on foot is impossible because of the large amount of cars, the narrow sidewalks and the poor air quality.

First of all, the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is only a 10-minute drive from Colombo Bus Terminal and Railway Station. Tuk Tuk only costs 90 rupees, which is about 4 yuan. There are restaurants and coffee bars in the week, which is very convenient. Secondly, the hotel's security and hygiene are also great, and the staff are warm and welcoming. Service attitude is good. Although I only lived for one day, I will definitely choose this place when I go to Colombo later.

The grand oriental is indeed like it sounds- interestingly old but still old! Honestly I was completely underwhelmed and a bit scared of Colombo. It was a bit dirtier and more congested than I expected, even having traveled in Asia a lot. The hotel was very nice in a few things: the staff couldn’t have been nicer! Even a little too nice! I received a wake up call I never asked for and I few too many inquiries into my personal life but I really took it as awkward kindness. They were extremely helpful and checked me in quickly and politely even at 1:30am when I arrive from a late flight. They also were very polite at breakfast and whenever I asked for directions or anything someone gave me a map with explanation. The hotels location is very good for seeing things in downtown Colombo and you don’t need a tuktuk. As I got ripped off twice by taking drivers offering outside the hotel, I suggest one walk. The train station is about 15 minutes tops walking. (For Galle buy a ticket at window 4, 180rupees and board the train platform 5). Also just across the street there is an atm, on the same side of the street, up one block is a small grocery with most things you could need. If you leave the hotel around to the right, you take the first right and follow straight until you reach Galle Face Green. This walk is actually pretty nice with pretty buildings heading past the clock tower. I went on a job here one morning and as a woman it was the best area in Colombo I saw for women alone. (Most felt a bit sketch). There isn’t actually anywhere to eat very close to the hotel but if you exit and walk straight past the port authority building you can find a small eatery with really cheap good local food. The hotel is very interesting and massive but I must say more than two nights is too much. I had a double room to share and the bed was two wins pushed together, blankets were old, pillows super hard and the air was either freezing or it was too hot. The worst though was the massive lights that line the corridors. They’re lovely but make the room so bright at night it’s awful. Also if you’re looking to have a view, forget it. Tv didn’t work, hot water was a Luke warm dribble. Didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel but I must say the breakfast is to die for! It’s a super amazing breakfast buffet with absolutely superb Sri Lankan food as well as western dishes and all you could want. Also the view from the harbor room is pretty ok. The breakfast alone makes for a good stay in the hotel.
