I fully understand travel experiences come with unanticipated hiccups, and I never set high expectations for the sole purpose of avoiding being disappointed if things don't turn out the way I had hope/planned. I truly don't even know where to begin with this disaster of a ”resort”. I was so excited to bring my 14 year old son here for his Spring Break. As a result of staying here, I will NEVER stay at another Margaritaville property in my life, and I will be sure to spread the word to friends. Let's start with the aesthetics - The property is OLD and is in desperate need of a remodel. I'm not sure what year this was built, however, it was very dated and felt like I was sent back to 1992. The room itself was clean, however, the vents were full of visible dust, and the balcony was FILTHY - I wouldn't even walk out there. The amount of bugs on the balconies was a deterrent within itself, and by opening the sliding glass door that would just be an invitation for them to enter. Valet and Reception are both a joke - NO ONE ever answers the phones. I had so much stuff with us and as a single mom, I needed the help. When I finally went down to ask Valet for a cart I was told none were available (both on arrival and checkout). This was after seeing many other families with carts throughout our stay. I gave my feedback at check out and the front desk girl just said ”sorry you are disappointed.” THE FOOD!! This was quite possible the most horrible part of this entire disaster. The only edible entrees are the chicken tenders and the turkey wrap (poolside). The Landshark restaurant was beyond terrible - both service and food. The restaurants are so grossly understaffed. After waiting 45 minutes for a table at Landshark, and commenting that plenty empty tables were visible, they finally sat the 2 of us. The queso came out cold, so I asked if they could warm it. I checked on it twice after I sent it back, and it finally came out at the very end of our meal as I was getting the check - NO ONE offered to remove it from the check. Our entrees were beyond disgusting, and I couldn't even eat my shrimp tacos that literally had shrimp, cold shredded cheese and a cold tortilla. That's IT. The cafe inside the hotel across from the elevators has equally disgusting food. We ordered pizzas the first night and threw them both out. I door dashed all our meals after eating in all 3 restaurants on property and being equally disgusted with each of them. Poolside - this was probably the most enjoyable experience - despite the food app not working, minimal staff to take orders, and the $18 mixed drinks that were in the smallest plastic cups I've ever seen. Food was brought in a to go box and cheap plastic bag. Boat Rentals - we rented a motorized stand up paddle board that died 10 minutes after we got out into the lake. Had to be rescued. |5.14km from city centerWe had a double queen bed room for three of us overlooking the lake. There was everything you needed in the room, microwave, fridge, iron, hairdryer etc… Outdoor Swimming pool, and gym which we used.
The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending in Conroe and the room was fantastic value for money. Good breakfast options and a little shop for essentials. Across the road form a service station and amenities also.
The only thing missing was a bar.

|0.99km from city centerStayed at this location during a tour of a nearby corporate office location. Room was immaculate when I showed up, and everything was in order. Upon check-in, I was given vouchers for free drinks during happy hour, and felt welcomed by the front desk and other present workers. Roughly 4 hours after checking out I attended a lunch event, and remembered that I had forgot some articles of clothing in my room. I called the front desk to see if they could find them as I had to drive to Waco shortly, and was told ”we will take a look, and ask housekeeping if they've seen anything.” A short 20 minutes later, and I got a call back from the front desk saying that they had found my things and they were waiting at the front desk for me to pick up. I got there, and retrieved my items, and was told that Josh in housekeeping was the man who made it all happen. That said, thank you to the front desk staff for starting the search for my belongings, and an even bigger thank you to Josh for finding them, recovering them, and putting them aside for me to pick up. Excellent service, and amazing people are present here. 10/10

|6.76km from city centerSorry to give a review like this I give credit where credit is due I will not recommend this hotel to my friends and family the girl on the second shift from night to morning her phone was more important than me being her guest anytime I'd ask her something she would kind of roll her eyes because she was texting her friend but a customer standing in front of you is just as important as a person standing on the phone so she needs to go back to ethics class and take care of her customer to the fullest and not roll her eyes and make rude comments.

We never had to drive anywhere.. we did swan boat rental, lunch at pub next door, went to the public library right there, went swimming at the hotel twice (hot tub is awesome), walked to the mall and took the trolley back. We didn’t make it to the movies but it’s right across the street! Room had a great view and was very clean! We were allowed to check in 2 hours early and the staff was great!!! We’ll definitely be back!!!!

I was able to work from my room minus no breakfast but that’s ok a lovely young lady cantrina she called shortly after I enter my room to see if everything up to my standards and yes it was thanks! I also was able to get fresh towels and she was really busy with ringing busy phone line and other guest walking in she never stop smiling keep up being a Phenomenal woman! My room was nice and clean and cozy cantrina stay bless love.❤️

I would have thought from outside the building that this was an older property; nothing was bad, but it just made me think it had been here a few years due to the paint scheme. Once inside - it felt like the builders had just left that same day. Everything was nice, pristine, spotless. The lobby/check-in was this way as well as the room. I have to admit, I am not a hotel snob - but I always joke that some of my family are. This property was everything we would have wanted in a Holiday Inn: nice, clean, comfortable room with welcoming, courteous, helpful staff.

|0.54km from city centerI was a bit hesitant to pick this hotel as its not a chain but it was very convenient with a free shuttle to the Texas Renn Fair. First- the rooms are very nice, updated and very clean, second the owners were excellent hosts, accommodating our requests for extras. Formost to us is cleanliness and quality of accommodation- its not a Hilton but on par with nice Holiday or Comfort Inns. Excellent amenities, welcoming staff, and just a nice clean room. Rooms are fairly spacious with separate sitting area, King size bed, flat screen TV, refrigerator/freezer, hair dryer, and nice granite counter. A bit pricy during fair, the free shuttle service is worth the price. We will defiantly come back here.

Cons: One set of reading lamps over the bed didn't work and the fixtures were loosely attached.
Rust on the two light fixtures in the bathroom, plus shower light was out.
Two bugs found and some strands of long hair attached to the walls of the shower
Had a stomper above us late at night and very early in the morning.
Room located near the balcony and could hear front desk conversations along with other travelers and phone conversations.
Surprisingly, had to put a $40 deposit for ”just in case”, but would be refunded in a few days--no mentioned of this charged when booked.
If you stay more than one night, be sure to notify front desk if you want to have your room clean; otherwise, it will remain the same until you leave, I guess.
In the bathroom, a chunk of wood was missing from the bathroom door frame exposing the sheet rock.
The bathroom's exhaust fan made a loud screeching noise when it was turned on for several minutes.....bearings worn out?
I can only speculate that booking this room through a website resulted in poor room assignment. The Marriott caliber did not meet my expectations, and I won't be returning to this hotel. Absolutely disappointed. I hope this is not a practice of hotel management in treating customers with sub standard accommodations by booking through independent trip websites.

|11.26km from city centerWhile looking for a vacation, we came across this resort. The pictures of the resort showed nice spacious open and clean units. The resort was close to family and we booked two units so we could spend time with them while we were here. My mother planned to drive down from her home to be with us as well. When we arrived we saw the buildings shown on the website. However, we began to sense there was a problem when we were given our keys and told to drive to a different side of the resort. Once we finally found the unit the first thing that struck us was the smell coming from the dumpster and the flies feasting on trashed chicken that had been thrown on the ground. When we opened the door to the unit our first impression was that it was small, dark and dingy. My husband saw ”brown stuff” in the tub. We immediately went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. When we told her of the problem we had and that we would like to be moved to units shown on the website, she said they were full and were only for Hilton ”presidential” guests/members. Funny though, the parking lot was pretty empty. When we asked why the pictures of the cabins were not on the website, she said they had sent them to RCI for posting but they had not posted them. Had we seen those pictures when we were looking we definitely would not have booked. We told them we were checking out. They were friendly and told us they would refund the deposit and apologized for the problem. We then went outside to call RCI. The agent was very helpful but when we told him what the manager said regarding the pictures posted he said they only post what the resort sends and cannot guarantee what is looks like. He suggested that next time before we book we all the resort directly to make sure their description on line is what they have. Really? Yes, we did get 2 two bedroom units as reserved but not in units they offer via website. We have been trading with RCI for many years and this is the first time we've run into this situation. Online descriptions need to disclose and show everything that is offered. I was able to stop my mother from driving 4 hours for nothing and fortunately was able to stay with the family who was supposed to stay with us at the resort. If I was Hilton, I would not want these ”rustic” cabins to be part of what I offer my customers. Hilton- put out full disclosure for this resort. We would not recommend these resort ”cabins”

|4.83km from city centerI booked through hotels.com and was asked for a CC at check in for incidentals, which is normal. I was given a piece of paper to put on our dashboard. A $20 hold was placed on our CC. At 1:30am I received a text that a $10 charge had been hit our CC. I inquired about the charge at check out the next morning and was told this was for parking and should have been told at check-in. She stated the fee is also on the website. It is not. The hotels.com website states ”parking available” and ”self parking” is listed in amenities. There is nothing about a fee. This is a no-frills hotel with a very small, unsecured parking lot. So, just a heads up there. Our room was very spacious and clean (King with couch). The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice large shower stall with pump bottles of shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. I really liked this as it's economical for the hotel and convenient for the guest. There was not a blow dryer in our room but I was able to get one from the front desk. The A/C was a problem. There is not an option to keep the fan on so the air circulates. The room would get stuffy & hot when the A/C was not blowing so we didn't sleep very well. A ceiling fan in the room would have alleviated the issue. The hotel is located very close to the highway so expect to hear a lot of traffic noise. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast was so-so. The area is small and not enough seating. The check-in staff were very friendly - the check-out, not so much. I have a feeling she gets asked often about the sneaky parking fee since the check-in staff did not mention it. Had we not received a text in the middle of the night, we wouldn't have known we were charged for parking until we received our credit card statement because we usually take advantage of 'express check-out' without going to the desk.

Also, the late-night / early morning front desk associate, Chad (?), is very helpful and professional. He was full of recommendations and assistance to make your stay wonderful. Room was very clean. Many television stations for your enjoyment. Evening dinner and breakfast had something for everyone. Free parking. Gas station is close for refueling your vehicle. |0.41km from city centerI recently stayed one night at the Hytatt Centric in the Woodlands Market Center and had a wonderful experience. Upon check-in, I was greeted warmly and treated as a regular. I immediately felt at home and happy with my choice to stay there. Not only is the hotel well designed and pretty, but it's clean and felt incredibly safe which I really appreciate! The girl checking me in went above and beyond to help me. Great service! The room itself had more than I needed, was very accommodating, clean and comfortable. I had a great night sleep and overall experience. I will definitely be returning! Also, the location does not get better in terms of fun or business!

They are very accommodating which is rare in the hotel industry ironically enough. They allowed my dog here and have never been disrespectful. The only complaints I have is that if I needed linens or clean towels in the middle of the night for some reason or if I needed to sweep something up and the maids are gone, you don’t get anything outside if the maids hours of operation. That’s really it!
