We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my husbands birthday and to go to a Jethro Tull concert. The location of the flats is very good near to the main railway station and the Metro. The apartment was clean and tidy with a lovely comfortable bed and a good shower. The kitchen was well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher and toaster. There were, however, minor issues with a broken telecom socket in the bedroom, a bare wire hanging from the light fitting in the lounge, no working light over the sink in the bathroom and a very squeaky toilet lid. Our major complaint was the noise from the condensers from the building next door! We were supplied with ear plugs which shows that the owners knew of the problem. We also had an issue where the entry system was not working on one occasion and we had to enter through the restaurant on the ground floor.

After finally having made it through countless detours we found a near by parking garage and made it to Raphael Suites. The place is located in an elegant part of the city and virtually every major site can be reached on foot. We can only speak for one of the apartements. It was on the 3rd floor and proved to be very quiet. Our apartment was small albeit perfectly equipped. The bathroom fittings were modern, the bed was perfect, although 2 instead of 1 duvet would have been better. As to the kitchenette: OK for breakfast but not for real cooking. Some have complained about the steep staircase. True, but the bright side is that the extra exercise is good for your health.

We were 5 persons who visited Antwerp for the Eagles concert, and looked for an apartment where everything is in a walking distance. /Despite we were by car but wanted to taste as much as possible of Belgian beer /. So, that was the perfect stay. City center was less than 10 min walk, Mei shopping zone 5 min. Now because we were by car, we could find parking place on the street /wouldn’t say it’s cheap/, but on the key, ca. 15 min walk we also found parking places which are free of charge. The place is really amazing and ideal. Three bedrooms with 3 bathrooms very well equipped kitchen /only salt and pepper was missing/ and a huge living room, everything clean and cozy. Regarding the host we didn’t meet them at all, but they did everything professional. Sent the entrance code prior arrival, after first night asked about first night, so they could check if we arrived. For sure if we’ll visit Antwerp again we’ll stay in the same flat.

This is a lovely quite new hotel in a very convenient location immediately outside the historic core. It has a grand lobby. Several details weren't right in our room. The thermostat could not be set below 22 degrees (72f.) until reprogrammed downstairs. There was a nice lamp on our desk, but no plug for it--it just sat there. Our TV remote was missing. Our heat in the bathroom never worked, despite reporting it twice. The hotel was lightly staffed when we were there. At 5pm on a Sunday the front desk clerk was the one who showed us to our room. Note that the hotel is on a tram street. There is very light traffic but a sensitive sleeper should ask for a room in the back. Our room in the old building was spacious with a very comfortable bed.

I stay here regularly for work and cannot rate it highly enough. The staff are all amazing and extremely friendly. The rooms are all extremely comfortable, quiet and decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast is also really very good at Les Nuits with a lot of choice and fresh juices and smoothies. The location is perfect, a short walk from the main shops and the cathedral area. I really like staying here and highly recommend.

Originally prepared to stay for one night, but basically all the stores on Sunday did not open the door, and added a night to stay until Monday check out. The funny thing is that the same room was booked twice in two consecutive times, because it was booked separately, and it was necessary to check Checkin again the next morning. The location is not very good, come from the train station or drag the suitcase to take Tram, or take a taxi. But the distance is too close, Taxi drivers generally refuse to load. I just can't get a car, dragged my luggage and took a tram. There is no Uber in this place. However, it is quite convenient to go shopping, and walk within a quarter of a clock. Hotel front desk service is general, I feel a little impatient. There is a Japanese restaurant in the right rear.

The Hotel Julien was an excellent choice for our long weekend in Antwerp. This is a very smart and stylish boutique hotel in a fantastic location close to the cathedral. Our ‘Julien Dreamer’ room was lovely and beautifully decorated. As it overlooked an inner courtyard it was quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very smart with lovely Aesop cosmetics. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. There was an excellent selection of cold items plus hot dishes that were cooked to order. No problem in getting a lovely de-caf latte to go with it! On our first evening we had cocktails in the lounge which was a great, relaxing start to our visit. The staff were excellent and were very helpful in providing the local information that we asked for. This is an excellent hotel and we would have no hesitation in staying again if visiting Antwerp.

We had a lovely welcome and a beer when we arrived. Our room was good but clearly there were several maintenance issues that needed seeing to. Plaster in the bathroom was loose on the shower tray surround, the tap on the sink was loose, a socket was loose in the bedroom. Perhaps a rug on the floor would have made the room more welcoming, and larger towels in the bathroom - we should have said before but there was a mosquito which feasted on me! Probably attracted by the pigeons outside. But we were happy to use the hotel as a base for the weekend - it was warm and the bed was comfortable and the water hot. Breakfast was super with a variety of food and fruit - even cake. Reception staff were unfailingly welcoming and friendly. We would be pleased to return to Hotel Matelot.

The renovations on this Hotel are impressive! You can easily see that the owner is an interior architect with good taste! I love how each room has a different design of the bathroom and how the spa feeling is represented by placing the tub central in the room. So many details and playfulness with the light coming in from the windows. The restaurant is a huge upgrade from what is was before. You can feel the love of the owners for hospitality in every single detail! Fun and tasty food and great atmosphere!

We had the compact room with balcony. It was indeed compact, especially the bathroom, which had no door (if you like privacy). However, the bed was really comfortable, the shower was great and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink. There must have been a view of the dock once, but there is new apartment block in the way. Wifi worked perfectly and was free. TV with a good range of channels including the BBC. It was fine for a night or two. Reception was really friendly and there is an "honesty" bar, with fridges filled with wine, beer and soft drinks where you just let them know what you have consumed. Cosy lounge area. Breakfast was good, with a waffle maker, fresh juice and a selection of hot and cold items. I imagine it can get very busy at peak times though. Lots of places to eat and drink in the vicinity and the Red Star museum is about 10 mins walk. We parked easily enough across the road though you need to pay by SMS or app - no cash options. I would stay there again.

I stayed at Maison Emile for 2 nights. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. Not only were we given a summary of the hotel services, but we were provided with a detailed list of attractions and advice on where to eat and where to avoid, all plotted on a map. The hotel is small but nicely appointed. My room was small, but had everything I needed. . We only saw two members of staff, who may have been the proprietors during the whole visit, but the whole place seemed to run very efficiently, with a personal touch. The continental breakfast was served buffet style and was very nice. Eggs/omlettes were also available on request. The hotel operated an honesty bar. We had no trouble parking on the street outside the hotel. The area around the hotel is well provided with bars in restaurants and within walking distance of the town centre. There are also trams and buses.

We decided to go to Antwerp for the weekend, after months of being home bound due to covid measures. We choose NH based on the pictures and reviews. The hotel is decorated stylishly and most of the staff was polite. It is conveniently located opposite the central station and close to restaurants & shops. The breakfast buffet offered variety and it was scrumptious. The downside to our stay is that despite our numerous requests, our room was never cleaned in the 2 days we were there, no flowers or refills of bottled water/ hotel toiletries. Overall our stay was okay, however overly priced for the service we got.

and where did he go? It obviously was here given the Marilyn Monroe paraphernalia that adorns the walls in Urban Dreams. We were chasing Polish ancestor footprints to America and stayed here for two nights. The famed Red Star Museum is about a half mile away and was the stepping off point for many Polish families like my own. Our hostess met us shortly after we arrived and answered all our standard tourist questions. Her recommendations for our first night in Antwerp were excellent and believe it or not, we had Chinese food in the city's oldest Chinese restaurant next to the red light district! The room was comfortable and we had a lovely view across the court yard. As I try to keep my reviews helpful, I'm going to tell you two reasons why some people won't like this place. First, the stairway to the room is narrow and steep. It's not exactly a spiral staircase but it does have a twist in it. So if you have mobility issues, you may have trouble with the stairway. Second....my wife and I are close. If you aren't on intimate enough terms with your travel partner where you would leave the door open while you go to the bathroom, then this might not afford you the privacy you desire. The bathroom does provide privacy but there is no door to close. Don't imagine your partner doesn't emit noises when going to the bathroom. This is not the place to make that discovery. Very cozy and a wonderful breakfast gets you out the door in the morning. Urban Dreams is conveniently located and it definitely my kids on B&B: no pretencious airs about. Simple, clean, warm, and inviting. We will definitely return!

Stayed at this apartment/ hotel for 2 nights with 2 other couples . Decided to stay in an apartment style accommodation instead of a hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms and the service provided . The hosts greeted us at the agreed check in time. Told us that they were only a phone call away if we needed them and the bar and kitchen was available for us to use whenever we wanted . The following morning the hosts provided us with a varied and delicious breakfast at the time we booked . Nothing was too much trouble for them. We was even allowed to check in and check out at the times that suited us, which once again was a nice change from the hotel concept . If in Antwerp again I would definitely stay here again.

advantage: 1. Excellent location, across the road from Antwerp Central Railway Station, Europe's most beautiful, a 3-minute walk. 2. It is also more than 20 minutes walk to the main square, city hall, and Stern Castle. There are many restaurants along the way. 3. Luggage can be stored for free before the check-in time. 4. There is an elevator, and luggage is easy to get on and off; 5. The restaurant can see the train station, which is very beautiful. Breakfast Western style is fine, the fruit is very fresh. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel downstairs is the world-famous Diamond Street and some Indian and Pakistani people.

Just back from a weekend stay with my partner at these suites. I could not recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by such a lovely hostess. She brought us to our room and organised what time to have our breakfast delivered to our room the following morning. The room was fantastic, I don't think pictures do it justice! The bed was so comfortable, the Philips coloured lighting system is such a nice touch and the jacuzzi bath was a luxury after a day of exploring Antwerp. I also loved the decor of the room. Breakfast arrived to our room exactly for the time we requested, the breakfast was delicious with such a variety of food. So, ...pretty wonderful right? Yes, it is. From the welcoming part until the end of my stay, everything just feels right. Arriving, being welcomed by the warm-hearted Bart & Eva, settling in into your music-themed-inspired-spacy room, enjoying a Rock Lobster session, having a late evening inspiring chat with Bart...enjoying an exquisite and rich breakfast... the whole concept just works. I can write more about the beds, the location, the rooms, the hosts, the breakfast, the music that holds the building/rooms into its grasp... but nothing i write can / will convince anyone (nor it should)... you just have to explore & experience it by yourself. So, go for it! If you're looking for a great place to stay in Antwerp, this is it... Try it out...you won't regret it. Period.

(Get a reservation for wild project, even if you aren't vegan it's incredible, and it's just around the corner.) The building itself has tremendous character, from the wood floors in the hallway, to the unique and comfortable rooms, and the lovely garden in the center where we ate an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, baked goods, eggs, cheeses, smoked salmon, and prosciutto. We had a night to spend in Antwerp and are so glad that we chose Hotel Colvenier over the other standard hotels. This place was unbelievably charming! It’s actually a 4-room hotel attached to a famous (and amazing) restaurant, with a huge (and equally amazing) wine cellar in the lower level. The proprietor, Patrick, is the chef and owner of the restaurant, and was the epitome of what you want in a host. The property is more like a sophisticated bed & breakfast; rooms are spacious and the size of an apartment, with kitchen and living/dining area. It’s quiet and comfortable, but an easy walk to everything you want to do in central Antwerp. We did a little aperitif wine tasting before heading into town for dinner — do not miss this! The wine cellar is mind-blowing, with a massive selection of all sorts of terrific wines and dozens of little candlelit cave-like rooms to wander through. We ate lunch at the restaurant the next day, and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. There is no menu; Patrick chats with you beforehand to quiz you on likes, dislikes, allergies, etc, and then creates a multi-course meal based on your input. It’s all creative but approachable, and everything was fresh and seasonal. Can’t recommend this place highly enough! It’s worth a stay in Antwerp for this place alone.
