Hotel Akasaka by relief is in a great location in Tokyo. I stayed there with a friend for one week and I feel like Akasaka is the best area to stay in. It had lots of food - restaurants and cafes - close by, and it’s close to several subway lines just a short walk away. You easily get to several central parts of Tokyo like Shibuya or Harajuku for food, shopping and sightseeing, or Roppongi for fun nightlife. It’s very central and you can even take walks to several destinations like Tokyo Tower, or several sightseeing spots like temples and parks. The staff at ICI is very accomodating, helpful and kind and we always felt very welcome and well taken care of. The rooms are standars Tokyo size, which is small, but we still managed to find enough room for having as much luggage as we did (two big suitcases each and hand luggage too), so we did manage fine. As for my one critique was for the cleaning - some of the days it wasn’t as good, the bed was left unmade and messy. Overall, though, I really did enjoy my stay a öot and I will definitely be coming back!

Great location and new hotel. Overall service is good except for the taller Chinese gal that works then night shift. She should leave her rude customer service standards in China and learn some basic Japanese customrr service. Other than that. Great stay.

The location of the hotel is good. The subway is just two minutes away. There is no elevator. If there are too many things, it will be inconvenient. There is a drugstore at the intersection, which is very convenient for shopping. , And then go to the left front, there are many restaurants to eat, it is very convenient to come back for dinner at night; the hotel's breakfast is not many, and basically all are cold, stayed for five days, all tired, the room air conditioning heating A bit slow, but there is a humidifier, so it is not too dry; the bathroom shower is very easy to use, just do not understand the hotel's smart toilet does not have drying function, but the paper wipe PP is very thin, after washing with such thin paper It ’s embarrassing, but it ’s not just a hotel, it ’s like this in many places, I ’ve always wondered; I ’m facing the building outside the window. I ’m going to know Tokyo mid-town the night before check-out.

Enjoyed my second stay here... only stayed because I got a massive discount but am glad I did. Amazing for that price in the middle of Tokyo. Room so small though, my feet hit the window area off the end of the bed and very little room for bags. Wifi was good. Bathroom small but efficient. Shower small and ceiling a bit low but water was hot and strong. Plenty of free amenities on offer in lobby including bath salts, etc. Staff very good, handed me an umbrella on the way out one morning without my asking and indeed I needed it. Seems they are automating the checkin procedure and no longer accept cash for payment. Hope this doesn't mean staff reductions, they were very good. Akasaka is a good area, convenient and bustling, but not raucous.

A 2-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, it is very convenient for both business and sightseeing.

Firstly, this hotel is probably the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. Everything from the lift to the corridors to all aspects of the room are on the small size. There’s a lot of ducking and head twisting involved whilst staying here, but that was no real problem. The bed was small, but comfortable and just long enough; the shower/bathroom was tiny yet hot and powerful; space was limited for luggage, but there was enough. The hotel seems to be pretty new and could not fault the cleanliness. The staff were very friendly, always managing to fit in an extra bow just before the elevator doors closed. Location wise, as there’s no real ‘central’ location in Tokyo we found this place perfect for us. And within a 5-10 minute walking distance of three metro stations. The surrounded area also has an array of joints to eat and a few pubs. On the second morning we also tried the breakfast at the hotel, which didn’t look that appealing but was surprisingly tasty. Overall, I would certainly recommend this hotel to all, especially those on a lower budget.

We wanted a hotel in Tokyo which was central and price friendly - this seemed to be the case here and we were happy with our stay. I had read quite a lot of negative reviews and concerns about the hotel not being spacious and the robots being gimmicky. Well, the robots are a novelty after all so I would have thought people should be open minded about it if they decided to pick this as it is the whole premise of the hotel to be slightly strange and sets itself apart from other hotels. We checked in fine using the robot and machine so it was great! Even if you needed help, there is a phone which is directly connected to the staff so they can help you with anything you need. The staff had kindly assisted with sending our luggage to our Osaka hotel using Takkyubin by filling in the form and organising everything else. As for the space of the room, it is slightly smaller than some hotels in Europe but it was enough for us with one large suitcase. The bed was absolutely fine for 2 people considering it was basically a UK King size so not sure what people were complaining about. For context, we stayed in a double room. Breakfast consisted of a salad bar, some western options, traditional Japanese items including rice, miso soup, DIY eggs benedict and croque monsieur (try it!) so we always had a full belly before heading out for the day. We'd recommend people to be open and realistic about the robot experience, and if not you will be better off going to an APA chain.

After doing research on where to stay, I decided to stay at this hotel because it was value for company in comparison to the other hotels. The hotel is near Akasaka (Chiyoda line) this line is 2 stops away from the main ginza line. It is very convenient. There are 7-eleven convenience stores nearby where you can buy water and snacks late night. There is lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. I had an enjoyable stay. The only thing negative about this hotel is the room sizes. We had 1 large luggage each and we struggled to find room to put them. We couldn’t open the luggage either. We had to put the suitcase on the bed to open and close to get access. Tv only has 1 English Channel I paid 1500 yen extra to check in The room was clean and tidy. They made up the beds everyday as requested. The towels could have been a bit bigger. I have one for body but the smaller toilet they left is for toilet. There was a little pack for you. It has a toothbrushes, cotton bud, cotton wool, comb, and face cloth. I will 100% stay at this hotel again for its cost and location and value for money.

We stayed here for almost one week, and loved the set up of the bunk bed room. The kids had their own space, and didn’t have to share a bed- traveling with two teens can be rough y’all. The room is ok for a family of four but things you should know: there aren’t any closets for suitcases, or anything for unpacking. We shoved our cases into nooks, it works but a bit messy. The bathroom is small, but has all you need. The bed is huge, like two full size beds pushed together so it’s perfect for families with younger kids who sleep with you. We opted for the breakfast- it’s so much easier than trying to find something early. Some people mentioned smelling smoke- we did too and at first thought it was cigarettes- but turns out the smoke from the street level restaurants rises- even to the 10th floor! I hate that smell so much- so keep that in mind- it lasts about 2-3 hrs in the evening. They have traditional Japanese breakfast food, along with an egg dish every day, bran flakes with milk, and an assortment of bread, with butter and jam available. The location of the hotel is convenient- short walk to two metro lines, convenience stores very close and a beautiful shrine within a short walk. We’d stay here again!

No breakfast, but there are Rosen and 7-11 around, which can be reached within 1 minute on foot. It is basically not possible to add an extra bed. It can be determined by the number of occupants. The room is quite large and easy to use. Very suitable for bringing children, the front desk is friendly, the hotel location is good, in the central area of Tokyo, shopping and eating around are very convenient. There is no parking lot, and you can only get on and off the two-lane road in front of the hotel. It is about 5 minutes walk from Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line, and the transportation is very convenient. It is about an hour's drive to Disneyland and other locations in the city center. It is only half an hour's drive from Haneda Airport. All in all very good, will choose here next time

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

Shinjuku
Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Shinjuku
Location is perfect, in the heart of shopping district Shinjuku. It's also walking distance from Shinjuku station. Economy double room is very small for two people. The plus point is the Airport Limousine Bus counter is just right at the hotel lobby and the hotel is one of the stop for the airport limousine. Overall is very good. Will come back here again if we travel to Tokyo.

Shinjuku
Great location. Nice places to eat all around. And a market with Sega machines and video games. Lots of convenience stores and cafes. 7 Eleven, Lawson, etc. We are vegetarian and found an authentic Indian restaurant on way to station from hotel. Hotel has shops and restaurants on Ground Floor (called 1F) ie. Family Mart - great for instant food packs etc VERY difficult to locate Reception/ Check-in Counter. Come to the THIRD Floor (3F) and you'll find it! Very secure. Use your hotel key in the lift to go up to your floor. Very small rooms at the hotel - Take one with TWO SINGLE BEDS - then bed size is very decent for 100 kilo women!! Rooms have TV, lots of ports to charge phones etc. Fridge. Electric kettle. Bathrobes. Slippers n shoe horn - See pictures... VERY LITTLE space for bags. Loos are amazing. Electronic pots etc. BEWARE - getting tub is very high - So buy a small ¥400 foldable footstool to step in and out - buy from shop called Daisu in underground passage to station. CARRY your own TEA (Chai) if you are used to it. Only green tea and coffee in room. No milk provided in the room either. So if you took the room with free breakfast, that's good - You can pick up milk and sugar sachets there. See instructions for coffee carefully. Its not simply a sachet. Water has to pass THROUGH it. Response to room service usually VERY prompt 5 restaurant choices for free breakfast (if you took that choice) of which 2 are American and can serve you vegetarian choices. See pictures attached for the Manhattan restaurant view! Very hearty breakfasts! 2 bottles of mineral water provided daily. All linen is changed daily, EXCEPT for bedding. Most staff understand English - else use Google Translate. If you choose to reach this hotel from the airport via Shinkansen, reach Shinjuku JR station, ask where the cab stand is, expect to pay approx ¥650. If you choose to walk with luggage, then take a 4-wheel medium sized suitcase each at the most. 2 choices - walk straight out of South Exit and cross road just once 10 minutes later. OR use the underground path for easier movement of luggage, and walk about 15-20 minutes (if with luggage) towards Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building - plus may have to climb one small flight of stairs in final stretch.
