The location of the hotel is very good. It is very close to the city attractions and the airport bus. It is also very convenient to take the subway, tram and bus. The hotel is white in color, and the overall is very clean. But the attitude of a middle-aged woman at the front desk was very bad. Many more than one person complained about constipation on her face. She basically didn’t know what to ask. She was the one who checked out at the end. I accidentally took the one near the airport bus. The photo of the hotel was deleted, and I used the software to translate the words of the airport bus address into Spanish and asked her. She quickly meowed and said I don't know in quite authentic English and then looked down at her mobile phone. Not sitting at the front desk or sitting on the low sofa next to the vending machine, personally feel that she is not willing to help customers solve any problems

Hotel is located in a nice area, in a few minutes walk from good restaurants and cafeterias. If you are new to the city, a couple of city landmarks (like museum of Antioquia) are in a close vicinity. At first check in process was very slow, it took about 40 minutes for 6 people, staff does not speak English, knowing a couple of key phrases in Spanish is beneficial. The second time we checked in this hotel, it was much faster. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Room was nice, light and clean. Beds are comfortable. There is no AC, but rooms are equipped with fan. Unfortunately, fan is in the corner and blows air on roughly half of the room. There is a minibar, but you have to request if you want to use it. Otherwise it is disconnected from power supply and locked, you can not use it as a fridge to store your own stuff. Bathroom is OK, with hot water. Taps are very noisy when you start a water flow, bathroom door was squeaking. One you enter the room you sign a paper that there are four towels for your use. As a guest from Europe I felt offended, but perhaps people steal towels very often? Shower area was clean, some soap was provided. There is also a hair dryer in the shower room, but it is very-very noisy! Breakfast was average and there is no buffet. You can ask for little extra food, but may receive also strange looks in return (not sure if we broke any hospitality rules that we did not know about). Coffee is awful. We also tried dinner at their restaurant and that was even worse them breakfast - tasteless and overpriced. Besides, waitress was confusing vegetarian food with meat-containing food and serving some complementary items late, when we have already finished our main dish. Wi-fi is OK, but not surprisingly can be quiet slow. Check-out was fast, transport to and from airport can be arranged free of charge (for the tip).

Looking for somewhere to stay while on a tight budget, Booking.com presented me with this hotel, which a cab ride later I stood in front of. The staff are friendly and efficient, from the front desk receptionist to the housekeepers displayed pleasant dispositions and were always ready to assist in whatever way they could. The room was modest (given the price), and was situated close to a central shaft which allowed all sounds on the ground floor to traverse it. Given the buildings roadside location, loud road noises can filter in thru the open front door and be a source of annoyance if you're seeking uninterrupted peace and quiet. Otherwise, it's quite bearable. The location is close to many points of interest and is literally surrounded by sources of sustenance ranging from street food to nice eateries. If ever in that neck of the woods, I wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Cafe at the rooftop has nice view of the bustling city centre, though lacks lighting at night. Sells beers and foods with no menu, cash only or pay at reception for cards. They served small asado (steaks) of chicken, beef or pork. Staffs were attentive. Location is close to Plaza Mayor, government buildings, and a large supermarket just across the street (closes at 9pm). This hotel does not deserve a 3 star rating, it is a 2 star hotel at best! There were no amenities inside the rooms other than a couple bar of soap. Bath towels are the size of hand towels. Oddly designed bathrooms with no flexible shower head and level floor (water will flood your room). Unreliable Wifi & no Gsm repeater inside the building. The business double room had home theatre system (w/ subwoofer), which is strange. Then had to listen to reggaeton out loud by a noisy neighbour. Hot breakfast were very limited, eggs and cheese arepas. There were some bread, two kind of fruits, faux juices, cereals, milk, and coffee. Our taxi driver told us that the area is pretty dangerous, so beware when you get out especially at night. Hotel does not have security personnel. Had to change rooms because the 1st room had AC leakage and no hot water. Odd AC position on top of the bed so the bed got soaked.

We are HIGH maintenance travelers with some health issues like asthma but this apartment/ hotel was perfect! They made sure to not use chemicals in our apartment when cleaning, great air quality and spacious well-appointed apartment. Everything is not in the kitchen, you just have to ask for a frying pan, sharp knife for cutting, or even a blender. The staff brought it all right away. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The sauna does not work in the Affinity tower but we were able to use the sauna and steam room at the Novelty which is the tower next door( also where breakfast is served). Luz was exceptionally friendly and professional. She went out of her way the keep our apartment clean and fresh and worked around our schedule. We felt safe and at home here in Medellin.

Hotel near main road, if you go with children and use stroller it is a bit complicated due to the steep slopes due to the geography of the area, when you arrive they give you a welcome cocktail for adults (not very good) and ice cream for children , in general the breakfast is quite abundant and good, we were only one night for a connection flight, the international airport is about 1 hour

Hotel Foresta is an awesome little boutique hotel located in El Poblado in Medellin. The whole experience at this hotel was very personal, Alex & Mabel were very attentive to all of our needs. Alex even personally brought my partner hot tea and a Tylenol when she had a headache one night! Breakfast is included — it’s simple — fruits, cereal, bread, sandwiches, eggs, coffee, and juice. WiFi is also included. I wouldn’t recommend trying to walk around this area because it’s very “hilly”, however there are always taxis outside of the hotel. I would personally recommend taking an Uber — they are ridiculously cheap in Colombia, plus since this hotel is fairly new, a lot of taxi drivers are unfamiliar with it. For example, an Uber to Parque Lleras (only five minutes away) which is where all the nightclubs, restaurants, etc, are located was about $6,000 COP which equals $2 USD. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Foresta for the wonderful stay!

The hotel has a good location near to the stadium and the stadium metro station. There are some restaurants and markets in the nearby. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. On the other hand, I felt the bed really hard and not comfortable at all. The breakfast is not the best, because always is the same menu eggs, cheese, and arepa. I think more variety in breakfast is recommendable. People whose does not like or cannot eat eggs have actually no option to take the breakfast. I take few times dinner in the hotel and despite that, there is just one option for the menu the dinner has a good seasoning. The wifi is good. Another aspect that I did not like is that room only has a small window to the aisle hall not to the city, so If the window is open everyone to pass through the hall will see inside my room.

We do not give one stars lightly, and we rarely leave a negative review. We arrived at 6:30 in the morning after a more than 9 hour night bus. Knowing we wouldn’t sleep well (or at all) we booked a room for the night before we arrived in Medellin so we could go right to sleep. We booked through booking.com. We had noted our early morning arrival. When we arrived, the front desk could not find our reservation and we were told check in was not possible at this time. We asked to speak with a manager and were told they would not be in until 7am. We waited for another person to check out and we tried again. We gave our names, the fact that we booked with booking, and nothing came up. We then gave the confirmation number and finally the front desk found our reservation. He apologized and asked for our payment. We were rather annoyed and asked to pay later after we spoke to a manager. About 20-30 minutes had passed at this point and we felt that paying for the night where we were on the bus wasn’t fair, as our check in did not go smoothly. The front desk said no problem. We slept and went on with our time in Medellin. We intended to speak with the manager upon checkout to explain our frustration. Upon checkout, we learned that the hotel had already charged our card through booking. When we explained that this was unacceptable because we wanted to speak with a manager before paying, we were simply told it was policy through booking.com. We paid a little extra to stay at a nicer place, and while the rooms and showers were excellent, the customer service was not where it needed to be. The charging of our card before speaking with manager was inconsiderate and a mistake on the hotels end. We anticipate the hotels response to be that it’s policy, and that when we did not speak to the manager later on the day of arrival (we were exhausted) that they have the right to charge our card. To be clear, we had asked to speak to a manager before charging our card. Not sure what is so complicated about that request. Despite the largely positive reviews, we cannot recommend this hotel. One last note, there are no laundry services. This was a first in our time in South America and we have stayed at some pretty small, cheap hostels. We had a ton of laundry and it seemed ridiculous that every hostel around us had this service and this expensive hotel did not. We also requested to leave our bags after checkout while waiting for our night time flight. We were told you must send an email first. Just freakin weird. Normally you just ask. Skip this place and save money for better service.

The staff were welcoming, especially the restaurant service staff, who were attentive and attentive. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. There are many restaurants around and supermarkets. The transportation is convenient, and there is a light rail for three minutes on foot. I also asked a Colombian barber to cut my hair nearby. The hotel can contact the airport to pick you up. The price is slightly more than 30 yuan more than a taxi, but it is safe and reliable, especially if you arrive late at night like me and do not know Spanish.

I suspect that as a hostel, is a good place. I stayed in one of their hotel "suites" and that is what my review will be about. Everybody that I encountered was nice, friendly and helpful. The price for the hostel rooms and the hotel suites includes a decent breakfast. The place is always clean. I chose to stay here because 1) it is almost directly across the street from the Spanish school I was attending and 2) they said they had "suites." I am an old man that travels to learn Spanish. I am at the point in my life that comfort is more important than cost. The concept of a suite appealed to me. I stayed there from 09 Aug 18 to 26 Aug 18. Hostel Lleras Calle 8 and I have a different definition of "suite." In the past, when I have stayed in a suite, it has been larger than a normal hotel room and frequently has 2 rooms. Normally they have a refrigerator and microwave, a desk or table where I can do my work and eat and a large amount of storage for clothes, luggage, etc. My suite here had none of these. My room was best described and an older, normal hotel room that had a TV and air conditioning. To be fair, there was a shared table not far from my room and a kitchen with a shared refrigerator and microwave although these areas were not air conditioned. Other than not being what I expected a suite to be, there were three things that disappointed me. The temperature in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold. Then after less than 5 minutes, there was only cold water. After some testing, I concluded that the hot water was on a timer. Another problem is that the suites were in the front of the building. And the front of the building is directly across from noisy clubs and the nightlife area. The noise lasted from about 10 pm to 3 am. As bad as it was, it did not prevent me from sleeping. Finally, twice I had a beer taken from the shared refrigerator. I also had a hamburger, in the restaurant bag, taken. Nobody ever touched the meals I had in wrapped foil. This was over the course of more than 2 weeks. The woman who cleans the place, I believe her name is Claudia, is so nice and works so hard. Because of her everything is always clean. The shared table where I liked to work was frequently a mess from other people staying there. She cleaned it many times a day so that it was always clean if I wanted to use it. In spite of my complaints, I had a good time while I was there and, should I return to the same Spanish school, I would stay there again.

We booked 3 hotels for our extended stay in Medellin. Hotel Quinta Avenida was our second one. The hotel is on a side street less than a block away from carrera 70 the street in the heart of our favorite area, Laureles. The area is full of restaurants and very safe to walk around. The metro is six block away, about 6 minutes walk. Rooms vary in size but the all have air conditioning. We got a large room in the front, very clean but the street noise at night was a bit high. We asked to change rooms and they moved us to a room on the back, very quite. Breakfast is included, not extensive (chose eggs or corn flakes/grenola) fruit, croissant, fresh orange juice and coffee but absolutely sufficient (consider that the hotel is quite unexpensive for western standards) The staff is very nice and helpfull. We decided to cancell the third booking and stay here longer.

This is a great hotel which nearly ticks all my box's for a good stay. We were able to walk to the Metro in about 10 minutes and on other trips taxis were available with ease and not expensive. Our room was very clean, had a really comfy bed, was very quiet and great shower. No coffee making facility in the room. The pool area was nice for some chilling time and there is a small gym . The majority of the staff are really lovely and helpful. The breakfast was ok, lots of fruit but the hot food was minimal and often some of the containers were left empty the whole time we were at breakfast. The reason for my 4 and not 5 star review was the staff at breakfast. The young girls just didnt apppear to want to do any work. They were reluctant to serve or get things that had run out ( and that was a lot as they didn't appear to fill anything up). Getting coffee was like a major issue and always someone elses job. They appeared to be allocated jobs and didnt want to do things if it wasnt their job.Tables were left uncleared for the whole time we were at breakfast. There didnt appear to be anyone in charge, making sure the staff were working. Its only this area though the rest of our stay was great.

The location is ideal if you want to be a couple of streets away from the noise and traffic of Poblado. I thought it was just right to relax. It was an absolutely terrific bargain. Don't let the low price fool you, there is nothing wrong with this place! If I had paid USD $100, I would have given it 4 stars. But no way it gets less than 5 stars for what we paid!

I live in Miami and was amazed how the protocols at Hotel Du Parc in Medellin, Colombia are so much better than anything I've seen since the pandemic. From the minute I pulled up at the hotel, all my bags were sprayed, sanitizer used for your hands (but not even touching the bottle, you have to use a foot lever), temp check, and mandatory masks. I was not sure how things would be, but wow was I impressed. All of the people working at the hotel take everything very seriously. The room was fantastic, very clean, and again, the service was outstanding. You can see the owner of this hotel cares very much about the guests who come here. He actually is downstairs a lot and can be spoken to very easily. On a sidenote: I was also surprised that they just installed brand new 58" smart TVs in the rooms. Definitely did not expect that after a pandemic. I will stay here every time. Between the service, safety, and the fantastic location near everything, it seems pretty hard to do better than Hotel Du Parc.

So let me start off by saying I have traveled extensively, and this hotel was one of the best in my experience. Loved the decor, the vibe, and the location was also key in El Poblado which is one of the hippest parts of town with great food choices all around and some nightclubs. Rooftop Bar offers an amazing view of the city (at sunset and at night) and the restaurant downstairs(Mosquito) has good food and service! Breakfast options were really yummy, and yes though a little limited, it's not a big deal in my opinion (had the cheese omelet with avocado toast) The room was awesome, beds comfy, showers hot, and personally wasn't too affected by the noise (Stayed on the 3rd floor-private room- and on the weekend) THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL ARE AMAZING! Kudos especially to Fernanda and Fernando who were the sweetest- helpful and patient in helping us navigate around Medellin and see what activities would most benefit us (Thanks for everything guys!) I highly recommend this hotel/hostel and will definitely be staying here again on my return to Medellin!

My husband and I travel a lot, and we both felt that Sites was one of the best hotels for a traveller we've ever stayed at. Sometimes it's the little things: spacious rooms with conveniences such as kitchenette with table to eat at, plenty of outlets to charge devices (why is this always a problem in hotels?), large closet with iron and ironing board, VERY comfortable beds and pillows, a nice balcony, and plenty of light. Convenient amenities for the travel weary, including self-serve laundry that is FREE for guests (this is so rare and something we usually need when traveling for a few weeks), friendly, helpful staff who gave us great service and advice on places to go, and a very nice breakfast. We enjoyed relaxing by the rooftop pool with great views of the city. It's also in a quiet, pretty neighborhood that is conveniently located within walking distance to plenty of good restaurants and shopping, and easy to get transportation to other areas of the city (if you love coffee, the coffee shop next door is excellent). Not only was this a very comfortable place to say, but the price was very reasonable for what it offered. We arrived tired and a bit travel weary, and left completely refreshed, happy, and ready for more adventures! We love visiting Medellin, and will definitely stay at Sites again next time we visit.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel from check-in to check-out. The hotel is located across from a soccer (football) field of a University, in the Laureles area. There are a lot of small stores and many restaurants within walking distance. I felt completely safe the entire time by myself. The location is just a short ride to the city and the Poblado area. Tatiana at check-in was so helpful and knowledgeable. Oscar was amazing, always willing to help and answer any questions. The hotel had a modern feel but not pretentious, definitely a hidden gem. I liked that I always saw people around, be it hanging in the lobby, restaurant, rooftop patio, or hottub. My room was a city (park) view, modern and very comfortable, spacious, with lots of room to unpack my bags and storage areas. They do have a mini fridge with drinks, candies, etc, even a condom too :) I think the condom needs to be changed, the packaging looks a bit rough lol. I did not find the room loud, even though it was facing the street. However the football players do come to play early and leave late at times, it didn't bother me. I loved that they had a hottub, after a long day of sightseeing, it was perfect to relax my muscles. They also have a hot and cold sauna. The breakfast that was included was made to order and delicious. Wasn't buffet, but was plentiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I even booked a day trip to Guatape through the hotel and it was amazing. Would highly recommend here and would most definitely stay here again.

We loved our time at Black Sheep. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean and with comfy beds and the bathrooms were clean with decent showers. The communal areas definitely made our stay - it’s such a social hostel that we spent most of our time on the table out the front (either evening drinks before heading out or once we got back from the club) and we also took advantage of the TV room one long hungover day and watched films with the other guests while eating McDonalds. It really felt like a second home despite us only staying 4 nights! We went on the Guatape tour and Graffiti tours that were planned through the hostel and loved both of them - granted we probably could have done these at a lower cost elsewhere but the convenience of being picked up from the hostel and ease of not having the shop around was worth it. I definitely recommend both of them! Just a heads up only small lockers are available and there’s no locks on the shared room dorms so be sure to lock valuables away (not that we had any problems). Great location with the nearby supermarket, Metro station and Mercado del Rio. I’ll definitely be stopping by if I return to Medellin!

We stayed as a couple in a private room (and bathroom) here for 3 nights in February and I cannot fault this place in any way, shape or form. It was simply brilliant and I would consider this more of a hotel than a hostel. Everywhere was impeccably clean, there were many facilities across the two buildings including 2x rooftop bars with amazing views of the city, a rooftop gym, lockers with keys for storage, kitchens with full facilities, onsite cafe, pool table, ping pong table, free 24 hour coffee, staff who are very helpful and speak fluent English, daily maid service. 100 percent recommend, probably the best place to stay in Medellin as either a solo traveller, a family, or a married couple as we are. Outstanding hotel! We originally booked the standard room, which we found to be too small for a 10 night stay. We ended up upgrading to a suite with a jacuzzi. This hotel is modern, super clean, and the customer service is wonderful and very accommodating! Elena & Chris were so attentive to all of our needs at all times! The breakfast was great — there’s no buffet, but you can order a la cart every morning. 10 days and I was never bored with the selection. Eggs, cereal, pancakes, arepas, rice. Empanadas — everything was excellent! It’s a small hotel located on Calle 10B — walking distance to so many different restaurants. I loved the location because it’s not right in the middle of the very busy Calle 10, but so close that you don’t need to take a taxi. This has been my favorite hotel in Medellin, we will definitely be returning!

We really enjoyed our stay in Selina and the city as a whole. The location was great sitting in El poblado"- a great area for tourist. This is where your going to get all the nice restaurants and cafes. Upon arrival to the hostel we pleasantly surprised by the reception area it was really large, clean and the interior was really hipster- we could also see a really really modern co-working space (which looked great). There was also a security guy there which was comforting. In the reception area there was also a cafe area. The reception staff were really nice upon arrival we were early so they took out bags into storage. The hostel has a great shared kitchen facility and also a huge bar and games room area to the back of the hostel- we are a couple it wasn't too loud and felt like a hotel experience. The hostel hosts Organized activities such a yoga and various other activities listed on boards throughout the hostel (we didn't do any of these however the options seemed good). The location as mentioned is fantastic for restaurants, pubs, cafes, boutique shopping and is approx a 10 min walk from line A of the Medellín Metro "Poblado" stop (once you exit the hostel take a left and walk straight for a number of blocks) . Be sure to try "Subula Greek sandwich shop for lunch" , its cheap, healthy and super tasty and has fantastic Vegetarian Friendly and Vegan Options. Its three blocks left to the hostel on Carrera 35 (you'll lots of great restaurants on that street). One of our favourtie coffee cafe's to hang out during our time here was Pregamino Cafe (Careera 37) the coffee is some of the best i've ever taste and the frape's are DEVINE..... We loved the hostel and had stayed in a number of other Selina's which were also great, we did notice that this hostel's shared bathroom weren't as clean as others we had stayed in- the bedroom was very disappointing also we booked a private room which was tiny esp with two large backpacks- it didn't have windows and the mattress was on the floor- which would have been fine if the room was bigger-we were literally falling over our own feet. So note to check this out before booking a room- it was to our own disappointment. However, on a whole we really enjoyed our stay in this hostel, it's very trendy and is a great location. I rated room and sleep quality poor as our room was not what we were expecting- however I can't speak for the other rooms.

The attentive hotel staff made our stay excellent. They were ready to take care of any needs. They booked us a car to and from the airport which eased our anxiety about the airport being so far outside the city. The room was clean and comfortable with adequate space. The bathroom was nice with a large shower. The wifi in the room and hotel were good. The hotel is on a lively street near bars, restaurants, clubs, a market, and the stadium. The staff made excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. We easily walked to the metro station which allowed us to explore the entire city. The breakfast area is bright and airy with delicious options and superb service. We felt very welcomed with every employee interaction.A special thank you to Carolina at reception who was so kind and helpful.

A really nice boutique hotel. On a quiet street yet a short walk to commercial entities like restuarants, grocery stores, and the popular Carrera 70, with the Estadio station at the end of Cra. 70 and about 15mins walk from the hotel. Nice, clean, and good sized room and bathroom. Standard breakfast offered. Staff were eager to help with information and helped with tour booking.

A good value. Located in Poblado, but tucked away into a residential area, it’s an easy downhill walk to Parque Lleras and about a $10,000 pesos taxi ride from the nearest metro stations. There are 3 restaurants nearby in walking distance or a cheap taxi ride or walk to plenty more in Parque Lleras. The rooms are clean, bathrooms on the narrow small side, but good showers with lots of hot water. Daily breakfast included is Ok.. not as good a spread as it should be, but ok to get your day going. Mateo is the bellhop and is very cordial and helpful as are the front desk staff. Pool area is adequate. And a gym. The bedding is very comfy. Quiet area, decent sound proof from outside and neighboring rooms.

I absolutely can't recommend this hostel.  Why? I want to be fair and explain this in detail (and not just leave one star without comment). We have booked a room with a double bed and a balcony. We definitely wanted a room with a balcony, although it was more expensive. So... When we arrived and were shown the room, it was one WITHOUT balcony. The balcony was next to the room, but it was freely accessible for everyone and clearly not part of our room. I can't understand... Who is so impudent and sells a room with a balcony but delivers one without?! Apart from that, the room was totally horrible, uncomfortable and not really clean. The room we got, they don't even show it in the pictures... The disappointment was very big! The next day I thought we should tell the owner (it seemed like the lady would own the hostel) about our concerns. I wasn't interested in the money, but in the fact that it was totally disappointing to see the room after we actually paid extra. She was embarrassed and also apologized at the end. But she has not offered to charge the room at the correct price - what I think you just should do if you want to be a good host. Very poor! Nevertheless we occupied the balcony.. But even if we once hung a towel there, it was put away a few hours later. So clearly a balcony for everybody in the hostel and not ours. By the way: The window in the room leading to the balcony was broken and couldn't be closed. So everybody could get into the room at any time. Well. Compared to other hostels it was that kind of hostel: Owner buys a house, makes a hostel out of it, takes nice pictures at the beginning, lets the family and some employees work and completely is not giving a f*ck about making the guests have a good time. We were not shown the hostel at the beginning, we got nothing explained. When we were in the kitchen and wanted to cook, an employee told us after a time that we are not allowed to use certain things!??!? And of course: There was no oil, no salt. Nothing for the guests. By the way, the hostel also offers a kind of small restaurant. They cook in the same tiny kitchen that the hostel guests have to use. So it was super stressful to cook something. And if they also have hygiene regulations for restaurants in Colombia... that could be a case for the authorities...   Some other impressions: Wi-Fi was down for several hours in the evening. There is no terrace, although it is stated (it is rather a small area to hang up the laundry). You can partly see inside the showers, because the rubber seal is off. Toilet doors work awkwardly. Really awkwardly. The cleaning ladies occupy the toilet between 8 and 10 a.m. You can't really go to the toilet in the morning. Especially because they put out all the trash cans for the toilet paper and it takes an hour to put them back in their place. These things should attract the attention of the owner if they are really interested in making the guests have a good time and not only makin

Hi, So the night before we arrive in Medellin we received WhatsApp messages from our hotel asking for confirmation that we arrive the following morning. They said they would have a person waiting for use with our name on a banner. They said the taxi would cost 150.000 pesos. When we asked why it was so expensive they said because of the number of us will need a big taxi (2 adults, 2 children and 1 baby)...ok understandable. Once we get out of the airport we were greeted by our driver who tells us that we will be taking 2 taxis!!! 75,000 each Why were we not told this? I do not understand why they would not tell us this..... it made us feel unsafe and maybe we were being scammed. If we had known this we would have made our own arrangements. When we questioned the lady who organises the taxis she said they had no big taxis available....we ordered one months in advance and she said she found out 12 days before we arrived that she would not have a big taxi but did not think it was necessary to tell us.... Get to the hotel and the entrance to the hotel is blocked by construction! a cement truck and orange bollards. They had to move the big orange bollards for the taxi to fit through...we were never told that this was happening and the hotel's manager's response was that there was no construction at night....the reception area of the hotel was covered in construction dust and the construction site was to the front and side of the building. The managers were very uncaring and unapologetic as if we were the issue. I work in real estate sales and rentals and if there is construction around the hotel or vacation home YOU TELL THE CUSTOMERS!!! You give them a choice to go somewhere else or you give them a discount....managers said no discount as its not construction on the hotel but when I arrived there were construction workers measuring the glass area (see picture)….does not matter! I do not want to be having breakfast and my view of is of construction workers right outside the window. I am very annoyed as we were in contact with the hotel from the previous day and they never said anything. This is not how I wanted to start off my holiday in Medellin. A really nice lady from the back office came out to apologise and helped us find a new hotel (she called ahead with our names) but when we arrived at the address she gave us the reception at the new hotel said they had no reservation for us but at another hotel....
