|0.74km from city centerLos Templarios is just off the Camino down a side street in the old city of Ponferrada and would be easy to miss. On arrival the receptionist spoke good English and was very helpful. The hotel has a lift which is a welcome amenity after dragging a bag up stairs in many hotels along the Camino. Everything seemed very clean. It was pretty cool outside but the room heating was excellent - in fact almost too good in that it heated the room so quickly that I needed to open the window. The only window looked out on an air shaft and was frosted so that it let in very little light. I guess the frosting is because the windows opposite are fairly close but one could always shut the curtain when necessary and let in a bit more light when privacy is not needed. The room was very small with a big twin bed. It was so small that when I opened my suitcase on the floor the door could not be fully opened. The bathroom had a hand held shower over a half size bath with no shower curtain. A sure recipe for disaster and I had managed to soak most of the room by the time I finished showering. My other grumble concerns the keys and key card. There were 2 keys that were almost identical, one for the room and the other for the front door. There was also a sort of key card used to turn on the power that is attached on the same ring. The power turned off immediately that the key card was removed from the slot plunging the room into darkness and presenting a major challenge to get a key (the right key!) into the key hole to unlock the door. There must be a better option - perhaps separate key rings. There isn't much choice of accommodation in the Ponferrada old city so Los Templarios maybe as good as it gets and in the end it is clean with helpful staff so good enough for a night's stay.

I had to be 4 days of work and really not even if I wanted to put an ambient in the room for the hard smell of tobacco!! The Finn week told us the reception that the bar would not open, and put us as a solution at 8 p.m. when we went to the front hospital bar. The cleaning leaves much to desire and the gel of the bathroom and the gel of the hands put the same ( and boot half ....) Really bad experience! Without bad the rest of LEON is very nice .Thank you

Nada más llegar antes de entrar te das cuenta que lo que habías visto en internet no es lo que era. La recepción y la entrada al hotel no es la de un 3 estrellas y mucho menos de la prestigiosa cadena Eurostars. Pero es que la sorpresa te la llevas cuando subes al pasillo de las habitaciones, ahí ya auguras que no puede ocurrir nada bueno. Al entrar a la habitación es como si te teletransportaras al siglo pasado, todo está anticuado, viejísimo, las paredes, los muebles, el baño, las puertas, los enchufes que parecen de la época de cuando mis bisabuelos eran jóvenes, por no hablar de la ducha, las baldosas del baño despegadas... Las fotos que aparecen su página web NO se corresponden con la realidad, no os dejéis engañar. Este hotel no se ha reformado lo más mínimo desde que se construyó a saber hace cuantos años. No es digno de ser un 3 estrellas pero mucho menos es digno de pertenecer a la cadena Eurostars, no entiendo cómo se permite algo así con la categoría que tiene este grupo de hoteles. He estado en hostales más modernos que este hotel. Lo peor de todo no es que el hotel no se haya reformado, lo peor es que te sientes engañada cuando llegas. Pagué 50€ por una noche con desayuno y aún así me pareció caro para lo que me encontré allí. El personal del hotel es amable pero evidentemente, si no lo fueran no tendrían clientes que acudirían allí porque el hotel no tendría nada positivo que destacar. Aparte de que de la amabilidad de los empleados no se vive, cuando se va a un hotel se quiere estar cómodo en tu habitación y yo no lo estuve para nada. El desayuno fue correcto, sin más, sin nada que destacar. En conjunto no me gustó nada y desde luego si vuelvo a León, no será a este hotel.

La recepcionista que nos atendió súper amable, nos explicó como funcionaba el hotel y además nos explicó que ver y por donde movernos por Astorga. Ageadecer también al hotel el detalle de darnos una habitación superior a la que habíamos contratado. Seguro volveremos.

We had a great room, Novembre, which had a good size bathroom and the most comfortable bed in our stay. There was a conference being hosted at the hotel but this didn’t bother us, we heard nothing, others in our group were disturbed a little. Breakfast was very good with the usual hot/cold selections, including fizz! Parking is outside and not secure but the city feels very safe. We love Leon.

It is located about 500 metres walking from the Temple Fort of Ponferrada and nearby is a public parking where you can leave the car (the whole parking area is blue). I liked the size of the room, the large window of one of the rooms with views of the city, the comfort of beds and coats and breakfast buffet type: with coffee and infusions, natural orange juice, cereals, cooking, toasts, fruit, included .... The minibar was completely empty, although you leave 2 bottles of courtesy water and in my room the video and the reception are next to the bathroom, which has a mamper to enter ...what complicates the thing when the 3 pieces are so fingerprints.

Cristina the massage therapist was amazing and we absolutely loved everything about our Spa Circuit and massage! I've personally never experienced such an extensive spa circuit, with such a lovely atmosphere. It was the perfect end to our stay in Leon. Thank you Cristina!

|0.03km from city centerWe were fortunate to stay at the wonderful new hotel Domus Oncinae at Oncina. It is right on the Camino. We had a lovely room overlooking a small sunny courtyard. The room was lovely with a great shower (no bath). We had pre-dinner drinks in the courtyard followed by an excellent 3 course pilgrims meal. We both had lovely fish dishes - bacalao and hake. The hotel only opened in late 2021, so everything is new and well designed. Apparently they are opening additional rooms and an Italian restaurant in mid-2022, so it should only improve. Domus also organised a transfer in their electric van from Villar de Mazarife where we had walked to that day and back again the next morning - about 15 mins each way. Highly recommended.

I checked in at 3 o'clock, but I looked a little busy or there was a vacant room, and I was a little over 9 o'clock and I was allowed to check in without additional money (no Marriott tire)
I went up to the room and upgraded to a junior suite with a terrace. I focused and finished my work and rested well
There were not many reviews and Korean reviews were difficult to find, so I hesitated, but I think I made a good reservation!
Breakfast was 14.3 euros, but I don't know if it's so good value for money, but I'm satisfied that I can solve it comfortably. I rest well!

When we arrived it was a pleasure to be welcomed by Reuben, a very friendly efficient and helpful young man. The Parador is a renovation of the sixteenth-century Monastery-Hospital of San Marcos for pilgrims walking the Camino Frances, and is one of the most important monuments of the Spanish Renaissance. Our room was in the renovated part overlooking the Plaza de San Marcos. It had a spectacular view, and was quiet, spacious, charming, and luxurious. The art in the common areas is impressive as are the exposed excavations of the ancient hospital and earlier dwellings. A great place to stay for a last night of comfort if you are planning on starting your Camino in Leon. It is located right on The Way with a monument to the pilgrim right out the front door.

It was disappointing that the bar/snack bar was not operational due to the coffee machine being out of order and reception had no idea when it would be repaired, we stayed for three nights but it was out of order for the whole of our stay. |0.39km from city centerWe stayed in the hotel portion of the complex not the ”Albergue” side. Clean, modern hotel. Easy walk to bus or train station (we walked from the train station). Close to restaurants and sights. We were doing the Camino de Santiago and received our rented electric bicycles at Hospederia Monastica Pax. They have a court yard in back where we received and stored our bikes until we were ready to start riding. This option was obviously very important in our choosing this hotel. A good option for a restaurant would be ”Los Cazurros” in Plaza San Martin. An easy 10 min walk as you make your way to the ”Plaza Mayor”. Nice large stairs and hallways. Decent sized room and bathroom. Large tiled shower with glass door. Liquid soap and shampoo provided (even toothbrush/ toothpaste/ comb/ shave kit!!). Very quiet at night. We had window facing back that can be opened to let fresh air in (No screen as is common in Europe). A/C worked very well, we were amazed at how silent it was. We chose not to have the Breakfast at 15 Euros as we found it too expensive. We found a place that opens EARLY for coffee and croissants at about 49 Calle la Rua. There were no other places open in the immediate vicinity for an early coffee. We recommend and would definitely repeat again.

Covid regulations were adhered to all over the hotel and particularly in the breakfast room. The breakfast was good and the coffee very good - a hotel can rise or fall on the standard of its coffee in my estimation! There are a couple of annoying things, however. The main one is the lift - all nigh impossible to get the lift down from any floor, especially now when only one family group should be in a lift! I suppose, one possible semi-solution would be two buttons on each floor - one up, the other down! This of course would not totally solve the problem - only 2 or more lifts would! The other minor annoyance is the fact that the wifi requires frequent 'sign-ins'. I would nonetheless still recommend this hotel!

Me pareció un poco brusco o de poca intimidad el tener que pasar con las maletas sorteando las mesas. teníamos una habitación triple en la cual solamente había dos toallas de mano, dos de lavabo y amenities para dos. La habitación olía un poco en cuanto al baño se refiere, como a tubería, pero algo soportable. La ducha si es un poco caos, está el plato y después otra superficie de azulejo que resbala muchísimo. Los azulejos del baño en la parte de la ducha, hacía tiempo que no se limpiaban, había como esa especie de pasta anaranjada que se forma entre las juntas de la humedad y del agua

|12.95km from city centerLocation is not the greatest. Hostel is located by the road, one with some traffic and close to a curve. I would not recommend it for a family with a baby trolley or someone with a walking impairment but, other than that it is absolutely perfect. Host is really helpful and he made us feel greatly welcomed. Rooms and facilities were squeaky clean. Room was very comfortable and had everything you could want from it. Breakfast was abundant, with many options and everything was abundantly prepared for Covid. It was so affordable I felt I was swindling the owner. It is utmost recommendable if you want to spend really little money for an A-class service in an astoundingly beautiful town. La ubicación no es ideal, al pie de la curva de una carretera nacional. No lo recomendaría para una familia con un carrito o alguien con una discapacidad motórica pero, aparte de eso, absolutamente nada que objetar. El dueño es increíblemente amable. La habitación y el edificio están limpios a más no pedir (lo estaban desinfectando tanto por la mañana cuando llegamos como por la tarde, a la vuelta de un paseo). El desayuno es copioso y variado. Está al 100% preparado para el covid. Tiene un precio tan razonable que crees que es un error. Absolutamente recomendable si quieres gastar poco y recibir a cambio un servicio de primera en una ciudad increíblemente bonita.
