      Me and my family stayed at Loews Regency for 10 days. We spent about USD 20.000 (2 rooms) on total. On my last hotel stay (friday), I checked out, but I left 4 special rings (3 diamond ring, one of them was engagement ring, and one wedding ring) I used to wear everyday, in the room. I realized they were missing on the next day (saturday), when I was already back to my country. On the moment I realized, my parent was still at the hotel and reported to the front desk and security. On Sunday, before he leaves, he asked one more time, and the hotel said they haven't found anything yet, but they would keep us informed. Well, It's been 16 days of the occurred, and the hotel simply doesn't answer any of my contacts anymore. Besides the fact that it's and absurd that this kind of situation happens (personal items are missing) in such a luxury and expensive NY hotel, after spending USD 20.000 the hotel just don't care anymore about the client after they leave. It is much simpler and easier to tell a client that lives in another country, that you didn't find their personal items, than try hard to help them. When I talked to Gabriel, the Hotel Security Director, after 3 days I reported I left my jewelry in the room, they still hadn't talked to the person that cleaned the room right after we Ieft and neither to the next host that stayed in the room. I guess that should be the immediate action a good, luxury and trustful hotel do in a situation like this. It's been the worst, saddest and most traumatic experience I've ever had in a Hotel. Worst service and attention with the client.

      It is a wonderful hotel. The view from the back of the hotel reveals an oasis. The ground floor rooms open out to private patios, I would definitely request on my next visit. The view from the back is a peaceful one. Between the row of trees along the back of the adjacent property is a pool of water and a green lawn. It is quite relaxing which was comforting for me while I visited my husband at nearby Sloan Cancer Center. In addition, the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there any time I visit NYC.

      I stayed at Hotel 57 in March, first visit to the hotel. My experience included pros and cons - at the top of the list of pros was Jennifer at the front desk, who was very kind and helpful from the minute I walked in the door. She is a keeper! The housekeeping staff was lovely and one of the doormen went out of his way to hail a cab for me when I was leaving while roads were closed/rerouted and there was traffic chaos after the NYC half marathon (I think that's what was going on) - unfortunately I did not get his name. Also, the classic NYC old-fashioned feeling restaurant next door had a surprising gluten free menu filled with yummy options, and as a celiac that was a wonderful surprise. The hotel location is great too. Cons were basically similar to what other visitors have mentioned. After I posted an initial negative review here because I had no luck getting someone to contact me regarding issues and questions I had, management then was very responsive and I appreciate their efforts. I would consider staying at Hotel 57 again.

      A colleague and I recently booked a few rooms, 4 nights, mid-week, for a business engagement hosting out of town visitors in NYC. Because I was working, I needed a few amenities: room service, shipments to the front desk, a quiet room…and not much more. Upon check-in it became apparent that Renaissance Chelsea hotel was challenged in providing these very basic amenities, for the “bargain” rate of $600-$800/night, for a single king room. After flying in on a red-eye from the West Coast, upon check-in, I was told the room I booked would not be ready until later in the day. I had to point out the actual calendar date to the reception associate, and also remind them that I had specifically booked the room a night in advance in order to check-in when I arrived early in the day. Once that was sorted out, I made my way to said designated room, only to find that the room key was inoperable. Though it was cumbersome and time consuming, I was moved to another room. While the hotel did make an effort to accommodate my room request (quiet and away from the club on the 30th floor), the hotel restaurant and morning room service was among the worst I have experienced, anywhere. I was required to rise early and attempted to order in-room delivery of, 1) a pot of tea, and 2) toast. Both items appear on the in-room dining menu. First morning, I was told by the woman running the dining service, “No toast. Only bread.” Day two, I attempted to refill my tea cup with hot water directly FROM the restaurant downstairs, and was informed by the SAME woman, “No hot water.” A short walk down the hall to the coffee station revealed, a) coffee to go, b) hot water, and c) all the necessary accoutrements (cups, milk, sweetener, etc.) This woman was by far the rudest, most hostile “hospitality” worker I have encountered, anywhere. It is worth noting that my requests were made politely and patiently, and I have no pre-existing gripe, disagreement or relationship with any of these people. From there, items that were shipped to the front desk for business purposes were misplaced. I was told they had not arrived (they had, and surfaced after much back and forth and several phone calls.) The worst experience of the stay was when a tragic incident occurred on my floor in the room across the hall. I returned to my room one afternoon, and encountered several NYPD officers stationed outside the door. I asked if there was cause for concern, and was not fully satisfied with the response. Leaving the room an hour later and encountering two new NYPD, I inquired again if there was cause for concern. The officer then explained what had happened, and a short time later I witnessed emergency workers pushing a gurney up the hallway. It is worth noting that at no time during my 4 days as a guest did the hotel notify me that there was an “incident” and I was likely to encounter this scene upon returning to my room. Nor did they offer to move me to a new room…or offer any explanation whatsoe

Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

      Myself and my partner and my 2 sons and one sons fiancee just arrived back from the roxy, We had a 2 bedroom suite rooms 606-607 and wow what a fantastic view, We found that the location was perfect as it surprisingly had a chilled vibe in the area, so exploring tribeca and soho and surrounding areas was very easy on foot and a cab was less than 20 dollars to time square/central park. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was a bother, Leo and my apologies I didn't catch the other gentleman's name (wore a white jacket) who worked the breakfast and lunch shifts are an absolute asset to the roxy. This will be our base whenever we are in new York, the quirky Hotel and awesome music makes it by far the best place to Stay.       I can't help complaining since I arrived at the hotel. The hotel must check in after 3pm! The lobby (a very small area) was full of people, waiting for check-in was extremely inconvenient. The front desk, or the service staff are all Indians. This English, it is not understandable without level 16. To the shuttle bus to the airport, everyone's home is more than 20 knives, and their home is 40 knives! Anyway, never live again
