The Palladion Hotel is decent for a one night stay. Rooms: My room was a sauna! Yes, it was cold outside during my stay. But it was like the Sahara desert in my room. The shower pressure was beyond excellent. WiFi was decent but not so great. I stayed on the 3rd floor and enjoyed being higher up. Service: The hotel staff was unfriendly and rude. They don’t seem to care if you stay there or not. The front desk treats its guests like dirt on the street. This needs to be fixed. Dining: One of the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve ever been at. Just cereal, bread and one type of coffee. That’s it. Of that tiny quantity, the quality was horrible. Everything tasted very off. Do NOT have the breakfast here. Location: Really nice location with walking distance proximity to everywhere in the city. One of the hotel’s only advantages. Bottom Line: Only stay here for the location and only for a short time. Otherwise, it will be an unpleasant experience for you.

Just a short stay in Ioannina and wanted to be central which the hotel was so great location. Did not have to use the car for getting around. Everything was within a 10 minute walk. I realise this is a budget hotel and the daily rate was excellent but there are a few simple things any accommodation should have no matter what the price. Had to make the bed up which really is a poor show. They have the bed presented as you would in the summer, bottom sheet OK but top sheet folder across the bottom of the bed looks lovely and cool in the summer but arriving out of the freezing cold to a cold bed is not the most inviting. I found the duvet in the wardrobe so once the bed was made it looked better. My all time gripe is why 1 pillow per person, so annoying. We found an extra cover in the wardrobe to fold up as a 2nd pillow. The room was spotlessly clean, great little minifridge and plenty of clothes hangers in a largish wardrobe. Bathroom clean, small and in need of updating, new taps etc would make a difference. WIFI in our room was good. Probably wouldn't use this hotel again. By the time we paid for the municipal parking which was a lot more than initially told we would have been better to spend that money on a more expensive room with onsite parking. As I said though great location, excellent coffee shop and bakery next door for breakfast.

After our initial hotel being a great disappointment, we arrived at Saz. From the first moment Elefthería assisted us with everything, even arranged vegan yoghurt for us at breakfast. Her service level is outstanding and she made us feel very welcome. The rooftop bar is great, though during the evening the service can be bit faster. Our junior suite was nice and spacious. Last but not least, the elderly guy who helped us at breakfast was very kind. Would definitely recommend Saz!

We had a family room with 1 double and 2 single beds, for a 1 night stop over, before getting the ferry the following day to Corfu. Excellent breakfast included. Very economical. When I booked on line I mistakenly thought it was a 2 room suite. In hindsight for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, 2 seperate rooms are better but as it was only for a night it was fine. For a longer stay, the family room would be good with young children. This is not a normal hotel, but it's lovely. Very good service throughout. The rooms are in a former, small monastery. The reception in another building offers coffee and there's a charming breakfast room in yet another building. Very clean, well decorated, traditional northern Greek style rooms with wood and stone, and a fireplace. Would be great in the winter too. Ample parking across from a large, open and safe expanse, right in front of the rooms. I didn't like our bathroom. The area around the hotel is a resort style complex that has a superb restaurant with stunning views across Ioannina and the lake. There's also a cafe/bar with music and another large cafe/ play area with inflatables for families with young children. The land is expansive so no part intrudes on the other. There's a huge amount of organized, free parking available. This is a great place for families. Lovely in the summer. The restaurant is more formal.

Small, nice and clean hotel not far from the city centre. I checked-in in the afternoon with a very friendly lady at the reception. The room (attic) is spacious and clean. Only a small issue occurred, but immediately the lady at the reception called and was very apologetic. In the evening, I had also the pleasure to meet Konstantina who is the Front Office Manager and who is a brilliant young lady! Thank you Konstantina for being so helpful!

I had my accomodation here time for two months,so I know this hotel and it's stuff really good. I'm gonna make you a short tour, just to be sure that you made the right choice for your accomodation. The hotel is near the Ioannina lake, and in the night time you can see it from distance because of it's blue colour lights. From the outside it looks really nice and fancy, but it is really so? Yes it is...it's not a 5 star hotel ,but it offers high quality standards and you will receive the best for the money you pay...Oh, about the money...you pay less if you stay more,so they are opened to negotiate with you for a longer staying. Once you enter into the hotel, you will always meet a smiley face..so say hello, klimera, kalispera to Anastasia,Konstantina and Giannis. All of them are professional receptionists and have solid English knowledge. They are the heart of the hotel and their hands will make you the best Fredo in town. They are so professional that the owner,George ( very good guy ), told me (shouldn't have to say this:)) that he will definitely increase the employees's salaries starting next month(and when he says something you better be sure he will do it))). Once you go up to the stairs you will meet Sofia, the janitor (even if you are slim fit,you will look like Big Mama (old, fat and ugly) when you stay next to her. She is the reason why your room is clean and well arranged, your clothes are clean,so BIG LIKE for her. Thank you all for your attitude and for your kindness. Finally ,choose clever and book Akti Hotel. Have a nice staying!

The minute I called and booked, I knew I made the right choice. Natalia was very helpful and professional on the phone. The hotel is new and doesn’t get the attention it deserves...yet. Just a wee bit from the center, closer to university and airport but totally worth it. Room is clean, new and cozy. Nicely decorated. Love the bathroom with its choice of walk in rain shower or a bathtub. Modern shower doors have an opening and floor tends to get wet but who cares, on vacation, still loved it. All amenities including robes and slippers are provided. We stopped at the lounge for a drink before going out at night and I thought some peanuts would be nice, but we were instead politely presented with a plate of meats, cheeses and breadsticks. Bed was so cozy, we slept great and past our usual hour. Breakfast was everything I wanted and needed. Being vegan, I don’t expect much but it’s the first place I really ate well in the area. Plant based milk, healthy fresh food choices, coffee refills and I’m fully satisfied. Staff overall, very polite, helpful and professional with a smile. They are happy to be there! Thank you for a wonderful stay and best wishes. We’ll definitely spread the word.

Lobby, location, parking area and attendant, front desk, great. Halls very dark, as was the atmosphere. No Wifi in the room, went to front desk and they kindly gave me a plug for the room to ensure WiFi would reach, it did. Must have known that room needed it beforehand. Room wasn’t fully made up the 2nd day and found the bedspread rolled up in a cabinet under the tv stand. Doorbell rang at 8PM waking us. It was room service asking if we needed anything?? Maybe they came to put the bedspread back on? I did not put towels and such on the floor following their environmental suggestions but they were changed anyway. Breakfast was not impressive, neither was the staff, didn’t want to be there. Was told the first day, they ran out of plant based milk the day before and the next day was told they had it but never brought it to me, after tracking them down, was told, sorry but manufacturer still hadn’t delivered it. After a two day stay, went to another hotel in the area and was fully satisfied. Unfortunately, found Serai overrated.

This place is the best you could choose to stay. Food, bedrooms, service, everything was beyond expectations! Staff was really and always helpful, with a genuine smile and positive aura. Excellent job to all!! This place feels like home, with no unnecessary “luxuries” that many places use in order to justify high room rates. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for high quality service and genuine respect to the traveler. Well done and keep on providing this type of excellent service to future guests as well!

We stayed for 5 nights in this amazing hotel. It makes a great base for exploring Ioannina: easy walking distance to the Castle, ferries to Nissi, taxi stand, pedestrian shopping streets, many restaurants, and the Archaeological Museum (worth a visit). There’s even a terrific bakery a few meters away. Our room was well furnished with large comfortable bed, reading lights, two armchairs, refrigerator, safe, coffee fixings and complimentary bottled water replenished daily. The bathroom was modern and comfortable (although the shower operation was a bit of a challenge for us). The breakfast was phenomenal – dozens of choices including two types of omelets, sausages, various homemade sweet and savory pastries, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, etc. It can be enjoyed inside or out on the patio. The owner speaks fluent English, having lived in the US for 20 years. She is extremely helpful and delightful to talk to. She very generously offered us breakfast when we arrived early, before check-in time. The rest of the staff is very friendly too. One other amenity I have not seen mentioned in recent reviews is laundry service. You are charged by the bag, the price is extremely reasonable, and ours was completed the same day. A great service for those of us midway through a long trip! We hired a taxi driver to take us into the nearby Pindus mountains to spend the day visiting Vikos Gorge, the Zagori villages and unique stone bridges. Truly a breath-taking experience and well-worth the 150 euros we spent. It was far easier than negotiating the hairpin turns, rocks in the road, and super-narrow streets in a rental car!
