Excellent inn, clean bright, friendly staff..They offer an excellent rate for folks utilizing nearby hospital. Room was well equipped, quiet, and well lit. My only complaint was the lowest toilet I have ever seen, must have been a bargin builder special. Would not be suitable for anyone handicapped, but I am sure this excellent hotel has handicap rooms also. Towels were very good, shower head was nice and offered many patterns. The sink area is rather small, but adequate. We didnt get to try breakfast as my surgery required a 5AM arrival. But I have no doubt it would be good. Access to the hotel from the roadway is a little awkward, but signage is good. A really nice stay, but short. Great Value.

This is a very welcoming and friendly TownePlace Suites. We stayed in a one bedroom suite (thanks Morgan for the upgrade!) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was very spacious and comfortable for a longer stay with lots of storage areas in the suite. Courtney went out of her way to make sure that I had Gluten Free bagels each morning which was very much appreciated. All the staff from housekeeping to maintenance to breakfast staff and front desk staff were super friendly and helpful during our stay. We hope to see all of you again next year in our travels through Columbus.

I originally had reserved a room at Extended Stay next door, but they cancelled my reservation without telling me. Panicked and desperate, I went to Sleep Inn next door and they had vacancy. I asked if they had military discount but they said due to covid it was a $92 flat fee, which I think is unfair but I wasn't in a position to argue. Also the hotel advertises free breakfast. I understand that certain covid measures need to be taken into account, but completely eliminating breakfast for $92/night is overpriced in my opinion. Most hotels are offering free grab and go breakfast that still adheres to covid guidelines. In terms of room quality, my room was very clean and safe. I think they remodeled it nicely and I had no issues with any of the employees. In fact when I went to get my free coffee in the morning, all of the lobby employees greeted me. The only minor details I could complain about besides price and value would be the in-room amenities. The fridge made a loud screeching noise every few minutes that scared me when I was trying to sleep and the TV quality is a little low. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place if they considered lowering the price and increasing value.

I had a pleasant stay here. It feels very safe, the room was very clean and the staff was super nice. Also, the prices are excellent. The only issue I had was that there was a glitch when checking in where I was charged but it didn't show up in their system. So, they kept wanting me to recharge my card, though it still showed on my account. I refused and they were cool about it and it wasn't the staff's fault, just frustrating. Also, the remote in my room didn't work. Otherwise, like I said, a very nice hotel and I will stay here again the next time I'm in Columbus/Phenix City.

Stay Report - 3/17 to 3/18 Location: The hotel is located off Exit 8 of I-185 (Airport Thruway) on the west side of the small Columbus Airport (CSG).  It's in a strip mall along with an Office Depot, Big Lots and a couple of fast food restaurants.  Across Airport Thruway are a few more fast food joints.  Its proximity to both GA-1 and I-185 make it really easy to get to other places from though a left turn out of the lot can be difficult during rush hour. Hotel: The hotel is definitely older though not aging poorly I'm happy to say.  There's an attached restaurant and bar called Houlihan's which I believe is a chain, business center, pantry and a nice sized outdoor pool.  Do note that for the five story hotel there are only two elevators so there can be waits.  There is plenty of free parking and I'm happy to say, Diamond spots up front. Check In: A very helpful agent thanked me for being Diamond, offered me cookies and water and explained how breakfast would work.  Staff here were all very friendly and helpful. Room:  A little dreary as the room is painted dark colors and the lighting doesn't so much but otherwise fine.  Nice to have a desk and separate chair and while the bathroom was small the shower was recently renovated and very good.  Wifi worked well as well and there were outlets next to the bed Breakfast: Typically a buffet but with COVID it was order anything off the menu.  I had a decent lox bagel.  Service was very good here too. This is one of only two full service hotels in Columbus and I was very happy staying here.  I'd be back.

This place is getting close to needing a remodel, but was clean and the mattress was ok. We skipped the breakfast and went to Starbucks for good coffee and food. So you get what you pay for at a place like this.

We were not prepared for this stay as we usually would have had our own. We checked in very late/early like 3 something in the morning I think. Our room was clean. We stayed here because my son, at Ft Benning, told us last minute we needed a 2nd room for him. We canceled our first hotel last minute, because they didn't have a 2nd room, and booked this one. We had a few issues while there. 1. The map location on Trip advisor indicates the hotel is downtown. It is not. It is by the Peachtree Mall 10 miles away. Location is nice but not what I expected. 2. All staff members were very nice. But everything was a little less than professional. Staff seemed to be just hanging out. Housekeeping had a whole coffee clatch outside our door one afternoon. If this was the only thing, i wouldn't have noticed. But it was one part that added to less than what we expected. 3. Bed was good and comfortable. Rooms were clean. But i counted three different metal finishes on one door. Things were dated in the room. Towels were mid to low grade. 4. My most important feature is a quiet room. First night was fine. 2nd night we had loud people below us. Honestly, i think they just had voices that carried. It sounded like they were in the room with us. At 11:30 pm. Don't think we are going to go back.

This location is formerly a Country Inn and Suites and you can tell this by the architecture of the building. But it has been remodeled and looks great. Our suite worked well for a family... the bedroom area and the rest of the room had a door to close between. And there were two televisions. Breakfast was adequate and the employees were very nice. The outside was very clean and there is shopping and plenty of restaurants around. It sits behind some other businesses and the sign directing you to the hotel is quite small. I felt you really had to look for it. The location is not very far from the sights of Columbus.

At first I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy staying at this facility for five nights. It was my first experience here. But, from the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and was treated as a valued customer. I was concerned about cleanliness with all that was occurring with Covid-19, but the facility was clean and regular cleaning was occurring in the building. You could smell the fresh cleaning products. I appreciated that very much. My room was clean with no odors or intruders (insects ). Again, much appreciated. The bed was comfortable. No internet problems. The breakfast area was clean with a satisfactory breakfast. No complaints about the facility. I would stay there again.

I recently stayed at this Springhill Suites for 10 days while my mother was very ill in the hospital. I had not stayed in a hotel since Covid, but felt very safe and secure here. The room was very clean and no one came in during my stay. I was given a care package at my door of clean towels, soap, tissue, etc. during my stay, by the wonderful Toni at the front desk. Indeed, the very best thing about my stay was the fantastic staff. General Manager, Latasha McCain, is a great human being and is amazingly kind and professional. When she learned that my mother was very ill, she handed me a get well card as I left for the hospital one morning, to take to my mother. How special is that! 😢 Thanks so much, Latasha and Toni, for a warm and memorable stay at your home away from home. 💜

A great property in Northern Columbus, close to everything, but quite as well. Linda at the front desk is a jewel. Always a smile and just good people. Pricing is great, breakfast in the morning is better than similar type properties. Nice clean pool and small gym. My go-to place in Columbus for sure. Don’t forget about the National Infantry Museum. Hotel is walking distance to some great restaurants like the Office and Texas Roadhouse.

Although the hotel is outdated it was very warm feeling. I had mixed feelings about staying here after talking to Kayla on the phone she has no phone etiquette she short talks everything I asked about the property, I checked in at 8:40 where I was greeted by Alisha she was very sweet the checkin process was great she made sure we were comfortable she was acknowledgeable of the surrounds and recommended a great place to eat, the room that I checked into was a little dated but clean, she explained to me that they would be undergoing renovation soon and apologized. The two night we stayed were great . Thanks again for having us.

We stayed at this property over Labor Day weekend. We we arrived, the room was hot, the TV did not work and the refrigerator wasn’t working. When the reason you stay is the full size refrigerator and it is not working, I was very disappointed. Upon leaving for the day, we mentioned the TV and the refrigerator to the front desk. They said they would check them. We returned that night and both were not working. My husband pulled out the refrigerator and it was not plugged up. HOWEVER, it still did not cool and the freezer even stayed warm. Very disappointing. We mentioned both again on Sunday morning. We returned that evening and at least the lady told us she had checked the TV and it was a direct TV problem. Needless to say, we had no TV and no refrigerator/freezer the entire weekend. The people we mentioned this to were nice, but nothing was ever done to fix the situation. They just said, “the hotel is full, we are doing the best we can.” I do not feel they had enough staff working because our towels that we put outside the room on Saturday that were to be replaced outside our room were never replaced. My husband had to go down to the front desk with several other customers to receive the towels. Upon checkout on Monday- NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT DESK. We had to ask a housekeeper where to return the keys. This just confirmed to me that we will not stay here again. We will be coming to Columbus at least once a month as our son is stationed here. We will go elsewhere.

We were arriving at about 10pm so phoned ahead to say we'd be a little late and spoke to an extremely friendly lady who told me how to find my room and not to worry when we arrived. On arriving and walking through the front door we were confronted with the most incredibly furnished and decorated house. Myself and my girlfriend were creeping around the ground floor whispering "This is amaaazing". When we eventually got into our room I was like, and it gets better. Big old four poster bed, enormously high ceilings and windows, the room was great. Bathroom was big and clean with a tub and a shower. Next morning as I'm sat out on the wrap around porch drinking my coffee and living out my American dream whilst contemplating moving to Columbus, we decided we'd better stay an extra night. Everyone was super nice, helpful and friendly. This really was a great stay in a beautiful house - thank you so much guys. Fair warning though, they don't do a big cooked breakfast and I wake up with a decent appetite so if you're like me then plan for breakfast at one of many nearby places rather than at the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel while I was visiting my son who was in bootcamp at Fort Benning. I drove by several hotels and read the reviews and decided to give this hotel a try. I am so glad I did! The entrance to the hotel is lovely and all the staff members went above and beyond to make sure I got a quiet room. We had a little confusion over a credit card and Sabrina, the general manager came to take care of it although I am very sure she was very busy elsewhere. The room was huge, unlike some of these newer big-name hotels where you feel like you are in a large closet. The decorations were lovely and soothing with a refrigerator and microwave that were tastefully placed so they did not stand out. The bed is one one of the most comfortable beds ever and I slept very well. The bathroom was spotless and well-appointed with lots of towels and toiletriy items. Every part of my stay earned five stars. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Stay Report 10/12 to 10/13: Location: The hotel is in Downtown Columbus on the corner of 9th and Broadway just south of the Performing Arts Center.  Its location means you can walk to all the restaurants and bars downtown and believe me there are some excellent choices.  It does mean a little bit of driving if you need to get to the freeways around here but it's worth it.  Hotel: The hotel was closed for a few months during COVID but is back open.  It's a nice design that's different in a good way from the standard Marriotts you see in a lot of cities.  It has an attached Houlihan's Restaurant and a small parking lot out from which is blessedly free right now.  There's a large lobby with a small store in it as well.   Check In: I was checked in by a helpful agent who let me know she'd upgraded me to a suite for being Titanium, that's always a treat. Room: Very nice.  Full living room with small bar area, separate bedroom with large and comfortable bed and a huge bathroom.  No issues with Wifi or noise or finding power outlets so I was very happy.   Dining: This hotel is nicely still providing breakfast as a Titanium benefit.  I was able to order off a menu and service and the food were both very good. I have nothing but good things to say about this property.  The location, service and elite recognition were top notch.  I'm making lists of places that treated elites well during COVID and I'll be returning to those properties.  This is definitely one of them.

We relocated to coastal Georgia from Michigan three months ago. Dorian was our first hurricane and our first mandatory evacuation. Pet-friendly hotels and motels filled up fast, but we were able to make reservations at the Candlewood Suites on Whittlesey Blvd. EVERY aspect of our stay was absolutely great. Our reservation was handled professionally, and when we got there the staff was very friendly and our check-in was quick and easy. Almost the entire booking was evacuees like us and almost all had dogs. The "pet area" outside was neat, clean, and everyone did a fine job of picking up after their pets. Our room was clean and had a small kitchenette. They have a very nice outdoor salt-water pool, well-maintained and clean. This hotel doesn't serve breakfast, but there is a small "store" off the lobby with a nice choice of provisions. We were having trouble with our TV controller and they sent a staff member up who corrected the input html-dodad and got us perfect reception. We were pleasantly surprised at check-out to find they had waived the $75-per-visit pet fee for all evacuees, a VERY kind gesture. Should we need to evacuate in the future I will not hesitate to return. Absolutely top shelf for people traveling with pets!

Large room with coffee maker, microwave and fridge. We had a nice sitting area, where we had relatives over for a drink. The workout room was decent sized with weights, treadmill, elliptical and weights. Breakfast area was clean and bright, constantly replenished by a very nice woman who cleaned up after everyone. Stay Report - 7/6 - 7/7 Location: The hotel is located in a small office park about 10 minutes north of Downtown Columbus.  It's nice because the area is very quiet at night though you cannot walk anywhere so you'll need a car.  On the other side of US 80 is a shopping center with a Target and a few restaurants.  Do note that on the drive to the hotel some of the turns are hard to see at night as they aren't well signed. Hotel: The hotel is a larger HGI than some of the other suburban ones.  it has several large banquet halls and meeting space in the lobby.  The parking lot outside is large enough and there's a very attractive lobby which has the restaurant and bar and a small sundry store behind the front desk.  There's also a business center and outdoor pool. Check In: A friendly agent handled check in, thanked me for being Diamond and asked how many keys I wanted. Room: The room was a nicer design than I'm used to at HGIs and had really good light along with a large TV, large desk area, outlets near the bed and a nice bathroom. Dining: The hotel is not able to serve food at this time but they are doing a grab and go breakfast bag. Overall this is a good option for Columbus.  It's quieter and newer than the Doubletree.  I'd be back.

Let me first say that the receptionist who checked me in was very sweet and does this hotel a service by being out front. However, there are times to save a buck... and then there are times an extra $10-$20 per night might just be worth it. This is one of those times IF you can afford to. The hotel is a tad on the older side of amenities and for whatever reason, the entire hotel was very humid. I even put my AC unit on what is normally an uncomfortable setting for me but I did it in attempts to lower the humidity. Additionally, although GA hotels are smoke free, there were a number of times where those just outside the who were smoking simply were so close the smoke wafted back into the lobby. The bed felt comfortably firm, however, the sheets were a bit scratchy and the bathroom a bit cramped as the door nearly took up the entire bathroom while open. You may want to make sure to wear house shoes the entire time you're walking through the room. Oh, and the two times a storm rolled in, the TV cable went out... but eventually came back. Thank goodness I had a laptop to work on. I just thought it notable. Again, unless you just can't afford more, I would suggest you look around a bit more. I chose it due to its proximity to my work appointments in town and didn't think about it.
