|0.47km from city centerFirst of all location is great! Just next to basically everything! Hotel itself looked really fresh and nice. It was clean! We had triple room with one single bed and one double bed and it was really spacious! Basically it was almost like two rooms. Bathroom was bit tight but manageable! Breakfast offers wide variety of foods and plus points from the waffles! Few negatives: Air con was really loud in our room but it worked (+30 outside so really necessary), the cleaning did not change the right amount of towels. Also door banging sounds can be heard from the corridor quite easily but these are quite minor issues. All in all I will definitely choose this hotel for my future visits in Brussels! Merci!

|2.51km from city centerGreat service at the hotel from the reception to the cocktail bar to the breakfast staff. Rooms we’re comfortable with a comfy bed and all you require for a few nights away. Location was €10 taxi from Centraal Station or a 20min walk through a few lovely parks. Great park on doorstep of hotel with ducks and a large pond and 3-4 min walk from Tootbus stop. Variety of restaurants/places to drink outside of the hotel away from the busy central area.

|0.67km from city centerIncredibly well placed hotel. Right in the center of Brussels, everything is accessible on foot.
Spacious room, nice and clean bathroom despite the toilet wedged between a wall and a sink. (Do not abuse fries and waffles otherwise you will spend more)
The hotel has a huge advantage. However the big problem with this hotel is the service.
The service is deplorable, frosty welcome, no smile, hello tear off, no please, no thanks ... the polite expressions are all forgotten.
Upon arrival, I was asked for a bank card and identity card, ok I give. White is palpable in the room. Then I ask him why he enters my card numbers because I had everything on the internet, he spontaneously replied ”Beh for the deposit”. No worries, this is understandable, however, he could just tell us, and also give us the amount that was going to be blocked, which I only saw because I looked on the TPE ... very little shopping again .
We encountered two fairly basic problems. We ran out of toilet paper, so I ask the receptionist if he can give it to us, the answer was ”Abon? Oh well I am amazed. Wait, I'll see if I can find that for you. ”
Very surprised by this reflection, we had the impression of having stolen toilet paper, we left empty-handed, toilet paper in hand. In addition we asked 3 times to 3 different employees to change a bulb that no longer worked in our room, something that was never done despite staying 3 nights. Very disappointed by this considerable lack of service / politeness for a four star ...
Too bad because this hotel has great potential.
Ps: I'm still waiting for my billing email.

|2.25km from city centerExtremely disappointed on our 3rd anniversary We decided to spend our Easter Weekend in Belgium an so, to spend our first night to a 4star hotel. We found new hotel charlemagne, unfortunately rated too high for what they offered, or at least to us. When we arrived we were told there was no parking (although we specifically looked for that before booking and hence that’s why we chose that hotel). We have been given the keys for our room afterwards. From the corridor you could see the door was opened before we went in. Crums on the floor, and the cleaner turned up shouting that it “was clean” in french. Went to reception to request to be moved. We went to our second room. The first thing you could notice when entering the room was the smell of cigarette. Whoever stayed there before us, smoked. The aircon did not work so my partner s been freezing the whole time. We went again to the reception and we have been given the third room. Finally the third room was cleaner, but the aircon still didn’t work. They had a small heater from Rowenta to heat the room. In a 4 stars hotel!!!! Also, were we were, the balcony door would no lock so in terms of safety, that was not great. I want to thank to Simona for finding my coat as I have left it in one of rooms while switching rooms. She has been great in managing our situation and other guests at the same time. Just to add: how a 4 star hotel has only 1 receptionist checking in, running up and down, dealing with complaints etc. all at the same time? Or one cleaner whom is expected to clean all the rooms and not miss anything? The only thing that keeps this hotel open are the receptionist and cleaner. There was no management whatsoever. How is it safe to only have one person at the reception? For a 4 star hotel, the experience was awful, we will definitely not return and we won’t recomend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children. Unless you want them to freeze in the rooms. Luckily we chose, for our trip to spend each night in a different city, therefore we havent booked this one for more than one night.

|3.66km from city centerWe loved our 3 night here. Visited for a concert nearby and have been so pleased with experience All correspondence before we arrived has been brilliant. The hotel is one minute from the tram in a nice area. There was a very friendly welcome and beer ready for us when we arrive. We were even loaned travel card to help us get around. Our bedroom was stunning. Breakfast was also great. We loved our stay and found everyone super helpful.

|1.21km from city centerFirst of all, the hotel is the same as the picture. Also in the city center. You will receive the message to the bottom. There will be a password for the first door. After entering, there is a password for the second mailbox. Then get the room card. The lady at the front desk was very polite and helpful to us. On the first day, I felt that the floor was too low and dangerous. Ctrip customer service responded, and I changed to a new room the next day. As a result, a foreign woman opened the door on the third day. Hotel Oolong gave the wrong key. Scared me. If I was not in the room at the time. What to do if the money is lost.

|0.5km from city centerDoes this restaurant have breakfast? I don't think there is a place for breakfast. The front desk didn't introduce me to breakfast either. The biggest feature is that the stairs are steep and there is no elevator. The reception desk on the first floor. The reception desk is called because there is no hall, all of which are ten square meters in size, and they are closed after get off work at night. I don't know the specific time when I get off work. I went downstairs after 7 o'clock in the morning with the sliding doors closed. There are several rooms on the second floor, and two rooms on each floor above the second floor. I live in the highest room No. 6, and my suitcase is 31.8kg. Look at the stairs in the picture. The first one is from the first floor to the second floor, and then there is a spiral staircase. It's so difficult! The location is very convenient, just near the main square. I still recommend that you live in Novotel, Ibis or Hilton. Are all next to each other. This hotel is too bad. Especially Chinese people go to Europe with a lot of luggage. The hotels I'm talking about are very close to Brussels Central Station, a five-minute walk. Novotel or Hilton and the train station are just across the door. There are many thieves in Belgium, so everyone must pay attention, especially not to reveal the rich. Europe is terrible now.

|0.46km from city centerWe traveled to Brussels on a whim from London, taking Eurostar from St. Pancras to Brussels-Midi. After some research, we were able to procure three nights at the Hotel Amigo; from Midi, the hotel advised us to take a quick local train ride, one stop to Centrale station; which left us only five blocks or so from the Hotel Amigo -- an excellent tip! Unfortunately, we did not count on how difficult it would be to wield large, over-packed suitcases on Brussels' cobblestoned streets and sidewalks. Twenty minutes later - and still a good 20 feet from the hotel driveway - a well-dressed, smiling doorman came running out with words of welcome, having spotted us struggling from afar, to help. This turned out to be Haluk, an angel who was to later make our stay in Brussels and at the Hotel Amigo quite memorable, in his role as concierge. We were pleased with the very quiet (per our request) classic King room on a high floor, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a big, marble-floored bathroom with a luxurious, deep- soaking tub. The Irene Forte bath products were also lovely (the apricot body wash smelled divine). Unfortunately, as with other luxury hotels in Europe, the glass half-door on the shower did not quite keep the water in! Thanks to housekeeping for setting that right every day. As we had not read up on the city, we did not realize that the Amigo is only a block from the Grand Place – a spectacular, historical square of architectural marvels. And while the area is a bit touristy, the hotel is walking distance to most of central Brussels, if you like to walk. Fortunately, Haluk advised us daily on walking routes through the city, to see all the major sights in an order that made perfect sense; this included a weekend market with antique jewelry and a sculpture garden in the Parc de Bruxelles, near the Royal Palace (things we never would have found on our own). We stopped nearby for hot chocolate during a surprise hailstorm – perfect timing! When we asked for good Asian food, Haluk also recommended Fanny Thai - walking distance to the hotel, on a lively street lined with restaurants, with excellent Pan Asian fare and a local crowd (we loved it so much, we ate there several times). These were some of our favorite moments in Brussels; so we were very grateful for his excellent tips! Otherwise, there was only one tiny glitch; somehow, we didn’t realize until the end of our stay that our rate included breakfast! This would have been welcome news; we ate a light meal only once, not realizing we had access to the buffet. A bit confusing, for sure (of course as Brussels is filled with nothing but Belgian waffles, French fries, whipped cream and chocolate, perhaps it’s just as well...). In short, we had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Amigo, and would recommend it to anyone.

|2.16km from city centerThe tour company booked this hotel for a one night stay on the way to Maastrict. Everything was excellent especially the food and the reception EXCEPT IN OUR ROOM THERE WAS A LOW BLACK TABLE ON A BLACK RUG THAT DAMAGED MY LEG WHEN I WALKED INTO THIS CAMOUFLAGED ITEM (AND AFTER 6 WEEKS I STILL HAVE A MARK), AND A TV THAT STUCK OUT AT EYE LEVEL LOCATED ON THE WAY FROM THE BED TO THE BATHROOM. I reported this to the Duty Manager on the day of departure after our one night stay to be told the it was all designed by a Norwegian Architect and I responded that they should have use a French or British one. I was then told that they were a Norwegian Company, and that they had recognised this problem some time ago and were renovating all the rooms in that block.

|3.56km from city centerThe B****y by Warwick made for a very comfortable and reasonably priced stay for two nights in Brussels. We came to visit family in Belgium but the family we usually stay with all had covid-19. So we had to make a hotel reservation at the last minute (actually from the airport in Doha while waiting for our connecting flight). The hotel is very well located. In an area of Brussels that is out of the most touristic parts of the city, but which is surrounded by parks and interesting neighborhoods. And very easy to walk or take the tram to the centre of the city. The staff could not be more accommodating. As other reviewers have noted, the décor is ”classic” and not contemporary. But the beds are very comfortable. and the garden terrace in back makes for a very pleasant place to have breakfast, or tea or a drink in the afternoon or early evening. This is the 2nd time that we have stayed here. And very much enjoyed both of our stays.

|0.49km from city centerLocation: quite convenient and approximate 25mins drive from the airport. But it seems that it is not quite close to the aerobus route (fyi if you wish to come here by aerobus and that is the reason why we choose to take a Cabify with lots of baggages lol :) )
Service: quite warm-welcoming staff and they will show you around the hotel for the first check in, leading you from the desk to your room.
Amenities: we were allocated with the room under the rooftop and this, the room is quite narrow and the height is lower than normal. Worse still, there is no street view.

|0.35km from city centerLocation was good, room size is perfect for our small family. Love the services that the hotel provides, super fast and efficient, and fuss free. Hotel even provide lounge area, where hotel guests can go there for a small drink and some appetiser for free. I think every hotel should have such service provided, it is just super nice and welcoming back to the hotel. When we were there, it was raining and hotel staff was even offering us in house umbrella for us to use, and we returned it once we are back at the hotel. Room was a tab bit dark at some corners, but otherwise all is good. Nothing to complain about. Will definitely visit again when we are back in Brussels.

|2.03km from city centerThe room size was OK. I was in a Deluxe room on the 2nd floor with balcony and view to the inner courtyard. I had specifically asked for a quiet room on a higher floor (arrival was on a Friday, stayed until Sunday). During both nights there were festivities going on in the hotel (first a bachelor party and the next night the wedding). The noise (music, etc.) in the evening and during the night was unacceptable for such a high standard hotel. Even when the windows were closed, the noise was clearly audible. Around midnight I went to the reception to complain - both nights. I was told that this event would go on until at least 3 a.m. I was offered to move to another room - but I did not accept that, since I expected to be disturbed by the noise in most rooms. I was told that at my check-out a manager would be available to take in person my complaint - which, of course did not happen. On Saturday after lunch I wanted to have coffee/cake with a friend in the hotel restaurant/terrace. It took the waiter almost 20 minutes to come and take our order. When arriving at our table, he just told us that there is a QR code which we need to scan in to see the menu. We did not place an order and left - very disappointing experience! Another issue was that I was travelling alone and was put in a room with connecting doors, which I believe is not suitable for solo travellers, esp. for females. I informed the hotel about all the above and received only very poor replies. The noise situation has to be improved - if a hotel does not have suitable rooms for parties, then don't rent them out when you have paying guests who at least want to sleep at midnight.

|0.58km from city centerLovely welcome by the receptionist on Tuesday the 31st in the afternoon (sadly not remembering his name. South American?) And little surprise as we checked in that made such a difference. A nice welcome card and a teddy bear to our daughter. Sweet! Location of the hotel is superb and style of lobby and entrance is really lifestyle and modern. Room was spacious, spotless in terms of cleaning and cot was provided as per requested. Lovely toiletries from Rituals in the bathroom. Improvement points: we weren't provided with water in our room, and no water station in the hotel at all. No one explained us facilities of hotel or tried to explain type of breakfast, etc, bed and pillows were uncomfortable, not one herbal tea available in the tea station of the room, their booking system must be so old as communication did not get through the team and had to explain few things over and over again. They took pictures of our passports, which took long and it felt ridiculous the way they rely on a printer that did not seem to work. Must be annoying to the workers in that hotel to deal with. Overall they workload did not give the modern vibe that hotel pretends to.

|0.04km from city centerWe stayed in a studio apartment for 4 nights, the room had everything we needed. Bed was a pull out bed, comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and they were in the room waiting, bathroom and toilet are separate but still private, small Juliet balcony, handy for letting in fresh air, noisy outside but to be expected due to location, once the door was closed there was no issue. Metro right outside, super market across the road, 5 min walk to main square. Customer service was brilliant, very friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even when they were busy. About a 15 min walk from Centrum train station. There are a few homeless people near the location but never caused and issue for us other than pity, really could not fault the place and special thanks to the guy who was on Friday the 27th of august , didn’t get his name but he was super helpful!!

|0.27km from city centerBefore booking this hotel currently be advised that the lobby is under complete renovation and there is a temporary registration desk on the ground floor of the hotel. Additionally, they are installing new elevators, however the existing elevators are very old and one of them wouldn’t service the floor I was staying on. The rest of the hotel has been completely upgraded, with very nice rooms. The main issue was that Belgium was under a heat wave while I was visiting with temperatures in the high 80s. My air conditioner was blowing warm air and I asked three different times to have it fixed to no avail. I ended up sleeping in a very hot room with the windows opened and had to listen to very loud crowds which apparently congregate all night on the street below, so know that the “historic views”come at a price with loud noise. I live in Chicago so I am used to noise at night, but constant loud conversation and laughing one level below is very bothersome. The breakfast is being served in the executive lounge, so for Marriott elites just be forewarned that the breakfast is very crowded with all hotel guests being served in the lounge, however the quality of the breakfast was nice with very friendly staff. This hotel will be nice when they finish it — just be forewarned about the street noise and staff who will not fix the air conditioning, creating a very undesirable stay from a Marriott Platinum Elite guest.

|0.57km from city centerI was whisked away to old world opulence as I walked into Le Plaza. The ornate chandelier, intricate carpet, and polished seating created a luxurious atmosphere. I was greeted by a friendly night front desk staff member named Ashley. He checked me in quickly and let me know that I could order something to eat if I was hungry. The elevator ride up to my room was a delight. The hallway was decorated in a vintage style, and my room, 534, felt like a miniature villa. The bathroom was gorgeous, and it had all the amenities I needed. It was a bit of a mix of vintage and modern, with a flat screen TV. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lot of natural light, and I woke up feeling luxurious every morning. The food at Le Plaza was delicious. I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was also excellent. I never had to wait long for anything, and the staff was always friendly and attentive. I injured myself during my stay, and Ashley and the other night staff member, Luis, were very helpful. They gave me first aid supplies and helped me get ice for my injury. I was very grateful for their help. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Le Plaza. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. The location of the hotel is great. It's in the heart of the city, close to all the major attractions The hotel offers a variety of room types, so you can find the perfect one for your needs. The hotel has a variety of dining options, so you can find something to suit your taste. I hope this helps!

|1.62km from city centerWe stayed on a Saturday to Monday in June, reception staff let us check in just after 11:30am which was really nice. The room was great and spacious, bed very comfy and large, air con worked perfectly for a hot weekend, the shower was amazing and good power, also the lovely L’Occitane products!! The hotel is modern and clean, good breakfast, lovely lounging bar area outside - although expensive, the espresso martini was a good one and I enjoyed the club sandwich. A couple of times our vodka was forgotten & we were just given soft drinks but they sorted it at the bar, a shame that the cheaper vodka brands were all gone though.. Louise is a good area and also not a far walk to the main grand place central area too. Our favourite restaurant nearby was colonel steakhouse, there are also lots of shops and bars. I wish we stayed more than 2 nights. If we return to Brussels we would definitely stay here again thank you!

Frequented by travelers in EU Parliament business. Nice bed, very well appointed and spacious room, and efficient service. All you expect from a 4-star hotel and some nice extra touches (large jacuzzi bath in my room, at least), plus originality -not gaudiness- in the decoration. Due to shortness of stay and time of the year I missed some more extra touches. Also, surprisingly good value in an expensive city. Recommended.

|0.25km from city centerThe location is very good, right next to the grand place. However, the rooms are old and need to be updated. The sink in the bathroom and the woodwork had cracks. The corridors were dark and dingy. The lamps or coffee machine have to be disconnected to be able to charge one’s devices. There are no adapters or usb ports. The day we arrived, the bell boy was on holiday, so there was no one to help with the bags. The front office staff, other than the most junior of them, seemed totally disinterested. The room was hot in the night and the aircon panel did not work. When we told the front office staff that the air conditioning didn’t work adequately, they didn’t even acknowledge what we were saying, let alone offer any explanation or apology. The breakfast was fine, but the staff again showed very little interest in even asking if we wanted a cooked breakfast. Wouldn’t recommend.
