I am a platinum elite member. I made 2 reservations for a total of 14 nights for isolation after coming back from oversea. I phoned the hotel before I making these reservations in June to make sure this is okay with them. When I was checking in on Aug 11, I got ”walked out” by the hotel because the front desk told me the hotel is not an isolation hotel and they cannot accommodate guests coming from oversea within 14 days. It was fine if they cannot accommodate me because they need to find and pay me to stay in the nearby hotel as per the Marriott ”Ultimate Reservation Guarantee”. The front desk refused to do that and simply just said they couldn't do that. What a BS!! I have contacted Marriott and was told they have reported this to the hotel and the hotel would contact me in a few days. I have waited like 5 days and no phone calls or emails. Nothing. Obviously this hotel doesn't care about the guests at all. Avoid staying in this hotel. Terrible.

Really happy with our stay and we really enjoy coming back here again and again. My husband and I are amazed with the staff and their friendliness. The tall man at the front desk I think his name is Mark is the nicest person you will meet in a hotel. He goes out of his way to say hi and make sure we are enjoying our stay. We had a bad night a few weeks ago with noise from kids and elevator not working. It was Mark who listened to us complain and assured us they would make it right and yes they have. We are also delighted by Grant the manager who is willing to say hi and even asking how we are doing. We leave a review to want everyone to know this hotel is amazing and has improved since two years ago.

Great location. Excellent staff. Great room . Unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Other than that the only hic cups were a problematic machine at the front desk that didn't like my credit card which was simply rectified by using the other machine, and their initial attempt to turn away my girlfriend when she arrived to join me.

Staff were friendly, check in was great. First night was good/decent got back after the cleaners were there. Our “clean” blankets were gross, stained, lint balls, gross. I have pictures, there was also a gross Kleenex rag left on my bed by the cleaners that had a gross brown mucus ball in it. Will never go back, my normal hotel in the area was all booked up. Literally felt like I was gonna get stabbed in this hotel. I’m sure there’s better hotels for 100/night

      1. The location is not in the city center, it is on the south side. The building is 10 stories high and there are no other high-rise buildings in the surrounding area. It is very suitable for overlooking the sky and the evening glow. 2. The facilities and facilities are quite satisfactory, and the height of the bed is high. This is the standard configuration of North American hotels, and the hardness is moderate, not hard or soft. 3. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, 4404 restaurant is recommended, and there is also a bar service at night. The draft beer inside is local craft beer, which is very authentic. 4, across the wide driveway in front of the hotel, is a shopping and living area, there are North American supermarket Wal-Mart, Chinese supermarket Datonghua, Korean supermarket HMart, as well as Western food, gourmet fast food, Chinese and Japanese restaurants, etc. about 10 restaurants It is quite rich. 5. With free WIFI, you can use it freely, there is no limited speed limit, and there is no problem in watching movies 6. When I went to live at the end of 2019, no one felt like it, and I didn't see a Chinese move in. The front desk staff are all foreigners, all are English-speaking and no Chinese-speaking 7. One flaw is that the faucet from the washbasin has a small water outlet, but the water from the bathtub faucet is very hot.

Booked via hotels.com for 79$C a night for 2 nights. Hotel located off 99th st., in a rather industrial part of South Edmonton. Checked in around 9pm, so room was ready..Lobby was rather tired and not very classy. Got a 2 double bed room on second floor. Room was renovated partially as bathroom was modern, but carpet felt old and linen seemed second hand (some from Holiday Inn). Room was clean but needed a good deep cleaning. TV had good selection of channels and was Roku stick friendly. There is a gym on the ground floor was a bit on the old side. The breakfast was included but consisted of cold items, like cereals, muffins, bread, yogurts, no fruits. Plenty of parking on site and at least 4 restaurants in the mall (Indian, middle Eastern, pizza, and an excellent sushi place) as well as the many breweries off of the Happy Beer st.

My girlfriend and I stayed here one night to break up the drive to Jasper and I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities and service we received. We stayed in the Studio and it is well worth the upgrade from the regular room. It comes with a fully stocked Kitchenette with dishes, countertop stove, microwave and even a dishwasher. When we got up in the morning we were greeted by an amazing breakfast where they made omelettes for you in addition to other hot breakfast items. In conclusion i will definitely try and stay here again if I find myself needing a hotel. Only critique is the location, being on 100th Avenue you can hear the traffic noise from the room and make sure to stay in the left lane when arriving as it is a quick turn to get into the parking lot and a bit of a pain to correct yourself to find your way back if you miss it.

I have stayed at the Westin several times before and usually love it. This time I was less than impressed. As always the beds and pillows are fantastic. They were the highlight of my stay. This hotel is downtown but there is so much construction it makes driving around rather frustrating. The lack of parking is another huge issue. Their underground garage isn't very big and there is no valet anymore. They also put up a ”full lot” sign. We ended up moving it and going underground to check and there were two empty spots. There is outdoor parking available as well but it's obviously not as secure. The pool area is quite nice and they have a sauna but no hot tub which is disappointing. They also didn't supply any towels in the pool area so make sure you bring your own. There was no concierge available, unlike similar priced hotels in the area so if you order food in you have to run down every time to get it as the elevators need a key to move them (nice safety feature, not ideal for delivery). I am usually quite impressed by the Westin but I think I will try somewhere else next time.

We needed a pet friendly hotel and found this hotel. I am so glad that we found this place. I am a big supporter of the Choice Hotel group. The price was in our budget. We were given a ground floor room which was perfect! The room was nice and clean and our dog loved it there. We were able to park right in front of the patio doors to our room. The front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful. Right next door to the hotel is a great restaurant...Taste of Persia. They have a great breakfast menu. We booked an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites West Edmonton (11330 170 St NW) in a corner jacuzzi suite. We found the room to be spacious and clean overall with good adherence to COVID-19 protocols. What was particularly lovely was the bathroom which had ample space including a large walk-in shower, double sink and the jacuzzi which allowed us to relax and wind down in. The quality of sleep was satisfactory and the stay overall reflected the TripAdvisor rating average to date. It won't rock your world but it is a solid offering. The accommodations was of very good value for price paid. Being in an industrial zone, the area does not particularly have a ton of interesting amenities within walking distance, but with a vehicle it was convenient to access attractions further away. Please be aware not to confuse this location with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Edmonton at 18520 100 Ave NW as the names of the properties are similar and they are within 5km of each other. Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful as it will help me get a better sense where to focus my review efforts in the future. Thanks and stay safe all.

We arrived at 9pm so we didn’t avail ourselves of the pool but it was open until midnight. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, the room was spotless and pleasingly furnished, lots of lighting, comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was 7am-10am and had a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Of note, this location had four coffee syrups, two of which were sugar free. As a frequent traveller and diabetic, this was the first time I’ve come across sugar-free syrup that wasn’t from a chain coffee shop. The hotel is a short drive from shopping, dining, and West Edmonton Mall.

If I could give 100 stars, I would. This place is a hidden gem in Edmonton, everything from the food, to the rooms to the hospitality. We decided to do a birthday staycation but working from home in Calgary, we definitely needed to get out of the house. It was a bit of a rash decision to go to Edmonton and book at this hotel but it turned out to be the best Albertan staycation. We got a room on the executive floors that included valet parking. I highly recommend getting valet parking with the package especially when you’re travelling with young children. It makes coming and goings so much more pleasant especially in bad weather (which thankfully we did not experience while we were there). The hotel is walkable to the taste of Edmonton which was one of the reasons why we went. The JW markets itself as a business hotel so we were very pleasantly surprised at how family friendly it was. No one gave us the stink eye when we arrived (yes looking at you Sheraton Vancouver). We had dinner at Kindred on Friday night and breakfast again on our last day. Both times the meal and the service were really good but at breakfast today, the chef may have gotten overexcited with salting. The pork schnitzel was perfectly cooked but under seasoned and the fries that came with it were so incredibly salty, it felt like you’re being dehydrated with every bite. The steak adobo and all dressed pizza were incredible on Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel restaurant was not just a pricey tourist trap and had cooks who knew what they were doing. Our room with the two queen beds on the executive floor was well equipped with everything we needed, including the extra things we asked for. I don’t think I can ever book a regular room again after experiencing the executive lounge. Breakfast was fantastic during our stay. They served simple menu items and there wasn’t a lot of variety but they made up for it with quality. One blip was on Saturday night we purposely waited until 730pm because we were told that hors d’oeuvres and dessert were being served at 7:30, turned out that they do it from 5 to 7. We essentially had leftover cheesecake which was actually quite good. The staff got our seven-year-old a jam sandwich but it would’ve been nice to have been there for the actual hors d’oeuvres. Actually I’m pretty sure I’m gonna book another stay just to experience hors d’oeuvres hour. Again I wasn’t expecting much for lounge type food but kudos to the chef. The pool and the whirl pool area is not super big but we were fortunate that it was not busy our entire stay. The kids got to enjoy the pool and the grownups got to enjoy the hot tub. The area was kept clean and plenty of towels were available. Now the staff. We went to Edmonton thinking we were going to get a standard weekend staycation, but instead I felt like I had flown all the way to the Philippines and received Filipino hospitality —- The best in the world I might add. All the staff are gre

We stayed for two nights over the long weekend. The hotel was extremely busy! I stood/waited for 9 minutes to checkin. Front desk team- Sheila was pleasant. Was placed in third floor two queen bed room. Room was spacious. The beds/mattresses were awful- worn out and very uncomfortable. The pillows were extremely flat. We all slept very poorly x 2 nights. The grey carpets were super worn out and not well vacuumed. The HVAC was poor. There’s an old A/C unit in the rooms which was extremely noisy and gave 4 of us a sore throat. This hotel has all of shiny charm of marriott hotel- upscale lobby, some fancy room decor, nice lighting and paint. However, the bed/ mattress/pillow quality was not up to marriott standards. The old noisy blower- that they called an A/C was not high quality HVAC. For the price paid- this hotel is not worth it.

Overpriced due to the location in West Edmonton mall. Parking is awkward & mostly unavailable at this time of the year so using the valet is a good idea. Absolute mayhem in the lobby and after a lengthy wait there wasn’t even a welcome or hello. It was very noisy & hard to hear or make out what the front desk clerk was saying especially with such a thick accent. People lined up all over the place & frustration ensued with line jumpers. No facilities to speak of as most are at the mall for a cost. We did not have a fantasy room & were located in the “Western” section where the room doors had horses in their stables. The housekeeping staff are very polite & helpful and the room albeit showing it’s age, was spotless. The rooms were quiet, beds are extremely comfortable, great to have a fridge & coffee maker as well. Lighting is awkward and not many outlets for charging. Great checkout time of 1200. Definitely need some updating.

My husband and I stayed for just one night coming from out of town. We had a spacious room on the 6th floor with king bed and large bathroom. Pillowtop mattress was awesome and we slept well. The top floor was quiet, we did not hear anyone, even though the hotel was busy. Hence, we had to park a little ways off the main entrance which was not ideal, but found a side door that provided access closer to the car. Our stay included a hot breakfast (for $95.00/night- great value) and the buffet had plenty to choose from including fresh fruit, cereals, various breads and hot breakfast foods. The staff was very courteous and helpful making sure we had everything we needed during breakfast.

Staying two nights over the weekend we had a lovely large suite, modern bathroom and very comfortable bed. We were on the 7th Floor and the air conditioning was cool and very quiet. Breakfast both days in the quiet restaurant had limited menu items but was very good. It is a shame that the attached Mall has lost many tenants, however we enjoyed going to the large movie theatre located inside. There are many really excellent restaurants a short walk away but unfortunately the area surrounding the hotel is starting to get rundown and it did not feel all that safe to be out late at night so we made sure to have early bookings. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and the friendly staff.

We stayed here for two nights, It was clean and neat. I was very disappointed in the size of the bath towels. I would say they are nothing more than glorified hand towels. Also, disappointed that they do not have coffee in the rooms. They have coffee in the lobby 24/7 but who really wants to get dressed to go get a cup of coffee? With all the big screen TV's around the lobby they could certainly afford decent towels and coffee. If I had realized there was no coffee in the room I would not have booked my stay there.

After checking in, the hotel charged two extra room charges because of communication problems with Ctrip.com and checked out 5.12, which has not been processed so far. Excellent location. It's easy to go anywhere.
