Advantages: The decoration can be called a 4-star hotel, the traffic location is convenient, quiet, safe, and the front desk service is in place. At this price, it can be said to be cost-effective Disadvantages: no refrigerator, no indoor swimming pool, a few hairs on the bed, in addition, the air conditioner of this hotel is adjusted to 32 degrees and it blows cold air. This is the case twice, and finally complained about the parking lot that the hotel cooperates with, and clearly told the front desk about the license plate I also confirmed that the license plate number is correct. The hotel system entered my license plate number. The parking lot still put a warning on my windshield the next day saying that this is a hotel parking space. Fortunately, there is no ticket or tow away.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. The questionnaire you emailed me “after my stay” to comment on my experience does not have sufficient space to fu

Is NOT PET FREINDLY! Seeing people getting SHAFTED into single bed rooms instead of the reserved KING bed rooms Plus had my best friend DENIED after calling 2 days ago asking if a support cat was allowed, only to be TOTALLY DENIED when he showed up on their HONEYMOON as they were MARRIED at noon yesterday! If this is the way YOU THE HOTEL treat customers, I've just canceled my booking for a month from now... you can keep the empty room, I'll go somewhere else with this attitude!

The rooms were very clean and service was tailored to customer needs to avoid contact with clients who did not want it. Access to food and entertainment is so close and available. HVAC was primitive. A hard blow or nothing, and the temperature control was balky. No restaurant. Could choose between 4 or 5 bag breakfasts, which could be picked up in the morning. None of the egg versions were appealing (we tried once), so after the first day we had the oatmeal each morning. Heated the instant oatmeal in the microwave. There was no convenient place for a second person to eat. One drawer in the whole room, and it was just deep enough for a Bible and a Book of Morman. We moved out without using our bonus fifth day and took up residence in the Sheraton three blocks away. That was a wonderful stay.

This hotel is really not of Holiday Inn standards. Firstly they charge the number of days stay and a $250 deposit as soon as you check in! And they took $500 deposit from someone else I know who checked in the same day. All the hotels I have stayed only take a token deposit to ensure the credit card is real. The some of the staff do have trouble speaking English, it seems they have not arrived from Punjab very long ago. The room we had did smell stale and musky. This is purely down to lack of refurbishment, with a couple of free standing lamps, the lighting is very poor. But it’s fairly clean despite its age thus not a poor rating. Try and get a room at the rear as there is traffic noise with a busy dual carriageway right outside the front. Swimming pool is very small, only good enough for kids. On checkout, I requested if they could store my bags as my flight was later in the day. They said they had absolutely no where to store them for a few hours. Whilst the staff are polite, they did not seem very helpful. Hotel seriously needs refurbishment if the rooms are anything like we had. And they need to stop taking full payment in advance with a deposit.

This place is relatively biased, and there are fewer taxis than there. The hotel is 1.2km away from lougheed station. It is very inconvenient to go by car every day in winter. This hotel is not a good choice for Chinese people, but this The hotel is relatively cheap. If you want to live a little better, it is recommended to be more convenient in metrotown. There is a small train station next to it. There is also a Regent Plaza and Datonghua Supermarket. You can eat Chinese food and buy some domestic ones. Other things are that there will be more Chinese people there. They can speak Mandarin, which is convenient for eating and shopping. After all, there is a large shopping mall there, and it is more convenient to take a car.

Western breakfast is particularly delicious. Many waiters are Chinese who speak Mandarin. They are very kind to introduce you to the place. There are also Mandarin speaking rooms at the front desk. The air-conditioning is very late. They also come to help us with cleaning. Standard but nice people. One day it was three o'clock in the general election and we could get off work. We cleaned the room and cleaned the room before work. The cleanliness was very comfortable. Jin Jiang Shanghai Restaurant is next to it. Eating is very convenient. There are too many Chinese restaurants on the main road of Kingsway. Very good experience. I will stay here next time. The only thing is the deposit on the credit card when I checked in. It ’s been more than 20 days after check-out. It seems that I have n’t returned.

The employees were very pleasant and friendly…….however there were dirty streaks of fingerprints on the bathroom door, dried milk stains on the chair and a dirty streak on the window. There were only two pillows on the bed, no coffee maker, no coffee, no iron, and no extra blankets. We stayed for two nights, reserved 3 weeks before. We were placed in a room by the front door, there was a lot of noise outside the entrance late at night so didn’t get a lot of sleep. When we asked to be moved for the second night we were told there were other reservations and it would be more work for housekeeping. We were offered a room two doors down which would have been no quieter. The ice machine was broken, the television was so small that it couldn’t be seen from the bed. Perhaps if it was mounted on the wall instead of on the low table it would have been better. There also seems to be a hiccup between the government website and their records because I had to argue for the government employee discount. Overall an unpleasant stay

We picked the hotel because of its affordability and the ok reviews. It’s a standard two star hotel. Parking was free and just outside. The room itself was small and smelled bad. There clearly had been people smoking in our room at some point previously. The tv didn’t work (they rectified this by the second night). The room was dirty. There were squished spiders on the bathroom door that had been there a while. The sheets were stained with make up and something that looked like blood. Some of the pillows had clearly been in existence for 30+ years and needed chucking! The first night, there was a random man stood outside our hotel room when we arrived at about 10:30. When we went in our room he just walked off. He didn’t work there and I don’t even think he was a bore guest. The second night, when we returned to our room, the key card no longer worked. I told reception and were given access to the room. I think they would have given us access to anyones room if we had provided their number instead. The security is definitely in need of improvement. It’s a suitable place to get your head down, but I would only recommend spending the exact amount of time that you intend to sleep at the hotel and no more.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were happy to show us a room when we just dropped by the motel a day or so before we planned to stay. They provided us with everything we asked for - from extra pillows to an electric kettle and even gave us a late check out. Perfect... and great value for money. Not the most salubrious location in British Columbia, but right on a bus route which made it easy to get anywhere we waned.
