15.35km from Mini free libraryWe booked our 1 night stay from 28-29 Feb through Bonvoy points, Deluxe Golf View Room with a balcony. The resort and its rooms especially seems too old and run down. Our balcony in the room was useless as there was a big wall rather than see through unlike other rooms that we saw had a nicer balconies. When we sit in the balcony, you cannot see anything except the wall next to you. Make sure you know what kind of balcony you have. Front Desk - We reached at 01.00pm and understand that Check-in time is 03.00 so didnt get the room which is understandable. So we asked them to keep the room ready and will be back later. Upon asking if they have other room categories and if i want to upgrade, they were not able to explain the room categories and difference and i ended up with the same room i booked online. At 05.30 we came back and some other lady at Front desk received us. She did the whole process again of Check-in which i did at 01.00pm. She gave me 1 key card and informed me to my shock that another key is with my wife and she is in the room. Interestingly me and my wife were standing there and i gave the IDs for our Check-In. Food Experience: We went for our dinner at the Fairway restaurant and ordered Dal Makhani Combo and Pasta. Whoever made the Pasta was just awesome but whoever cooked Dal Makhani was probably not an Indian Chef. The Indian food is at its worst in this hotel. If they do not have Indian Chef, should not even offer the option. Dal Makhani come with 2 piece of Paratha and to our surprise, these were Frozen Parathas that were heated and given with a tasteless yellowish Dal Makhani. When we pay high price for food in a 5 Star hotel, we expect a good quality of food. I can never expect that a 5 star chef is serving Frozen food and just killing the overall concept of F&B in a 5 star hotel. In the morning, we ordered 2 Cappucino in the room. It tasted like drinking a black water with a bit of coffee taste. I wish i would have orderer a better coffee from Starbucks in the hotel lobby. I will never suggest a staycation at this resort. You will be let down by its rooms and F&B which will ruin your overall experience. I agree that they took care of one of my personal request of putting anniversary amenities and the team did a good job with that. Hope the team will take it seriously and make necessary changes to lift themselves up to the 5star standard.
