|0.57km from city centerThis hotel has surpassed all of my expectations. From the moment I contacted the hotel to enquire about a booking the staff were so helpful. Particularly a lady named Silvia, she was so nice and helpful and probably the reason I booked this hotel in the first place. She made everything so simple and was incredibly friendly and even more so in real life when we arrived. We travelled here for my husband to do an Ironman race (the perfect hotel if your doing Ironman Barcelona) so I was on my own with a baby for a lot of the time. Every morning that I went down for breakfast with the baby, the chef Anas came out from where he was working to help me get a breakfast sorted for myself and my little girl. He is the nicest gentleman and so unbelievably helpful. This hotel is clean, modern and has a wonderful family vibe. But their real charm is the staff. They are what makes this place amazing. We will be back x

Il personale sempre cordiale e attento, sin dal nostro arrivo fino al momento della nostra partenza. per chiunque lamenti la grandezza delle stanze, mi sento di chiedere ”cosa ci dovete fare oltre alla doccia e dormire?” secondo me la misura delle stanze era perfetta per la nostra vacanza, giusto il dormire e cambiarsi, tanto tutto il resto del tempo lo si passa di fuori ... Detto questo le informazione sembrava essere possibile averle solo da Pedra, donna amabile e cordiale, che ti mette a tuo agio aiutandoti parlando più lingue. la colazione è decisamente completa e i prodotti anche se del supermercato erano buoni. a disposiozione dei clienti un servizio bar 24h Il bonovista, si trova in una posizione decisamente comoda, poco distante dalla fine della strada del mercado, vicino ad un supermercato e a vari piccoli market. la distanza dalla spiaggia (che è di ghiaia) è veramente irrisoria, tutto intorno si trovano tantissimi servizi e ristoranti. se dovessi tornare a Calella, tornerei da loro.

Con una playa que no está muy concurrida. La habitación del hotel estaba en perfectas condiciones. La piscina es pequeña, como las de los hoteles de alrededor. Pero no suele haber mucha gente. El bufet está bastante bien. Y la calidad es excelente. El desayuno es genial, con un montón de cosas para elegir. El personal de recepción es muy amable. La limpieza de habitaciones es muy buena. Totalmente recomendable para familias.

There is a train line in front of the hotel but it didn't disturb us. Our standard room was basic but spotlessly clean with excellent air conditioning. We stayed half board and managed to find something we liked at every meal. The breakfast omelettes and bakery items were particularly good. Staff were nice and helpful and overall we really enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. Thank you Hotel Espanya - we'll definitely be back next year 😀

Our experience at SANT JORDI, a purported 5-star property, fell drastically short of our expectations and has left us questioning the credibility of its rating. Upon our late-night arrival, we were eager to unwind and revel in the luxury amenities, especially the bathtub, which was a pivotal factor in our selection of this hotel. However, the excitement quickly morphed into disillusionment when we encountered a large, unsightly brown stain on the side of the bath, resembling feces. This egregious lapse in cleanliness prompted immediate communication with the reception, an interaction we hadn’t anticipated. Our subsequent meticulous inspection of the room uncovered more shortcomings: black mold inhabited the shower area, posing a severe health and safety risk. Furthermore, the water tap, when operated, emitted a noise so intrusive that it had the potential to disrupt the slumber of other guests within proximity. These occurrences were not only inconvenient but also reprehensible, considering the supposed standing of the hotel. Our concerns, articulated at check-out, were met with assurances of a full refund for the inconveniences suffered. Despite this promise, the refund is yet to materialize, adding to our grievances. Our stay at SANT JORDI was marred by unacceptable cleanliness standards, glaring maintenance oversights, and unfulfilled promises, all incongruent with the hotel's purported stature. We left feeling deceived and distressed, far from the rejuvenating experience we sought. It's imperative for prospective guests to approach with caution and for the management to institute immediate rectifications, lest the hotel’s reputation suffers irreversible damage. Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆

The staff is friendly and the pool is nice too. It is an 8-minute walk to the beach, which is separated by a railway line, but there is an underpass and opportunities to pass. The beach section is spacious and clean. An ideal place to plan your excursions and activities. The food on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner is varied, fresh and, in my opinion, good, you can always find something and get full. If necessary, there are countless restaurants in the area. The pool bar staff do a good job and they were friendly and professional at all times. Clear recommendation.

|0.24km from city centerWe stayed here for 5 nights before a cruise . We were travelling with myself and hubbie and 2 kids and in another room was my mum and dad . I was a bit hesitant before arriving as some of the reviews were poor but I needn’t have worried. The staff are amazing and so friendly . The rooms were modern and beds comfy . Lovely bathroom also . They supply body wash and shampoo and have a decent hairdryer . You can also borrow an iron from Reception if you need one. Hotel was full when we stayed . Food - we were half board so had breakfast and dinner . My son is vegetarian and I can honestly say there was such a great range of food to choose from and a lot more than you would expect for a 3/4 star hotel . The food hall manager was amazing and all of the staff we encountered were so friendly . For breakfast you can get free tea , coffee and juices . For dinner no drinks are included but once you are at table a waiter will come along and see if you want anything . We usually asked for a few diet cokes and they came From bottles and very good prices. You then get a receipt and you pay on the way out of the restaurant . Beach- 2/3 mins walk away . 8 euros for a sun lounger but please barter as they let us have 6 for 30 euros. Beach was very choppy whilst we were here so young children will need full supervision. Pool- only my 7 year old daughter went into the pool normally late afternoon and she had no complaints at all . Was rarely anyone else in there. Location - fab location . Short walk away from the local town with loads of shops. Even though we went end of October I would say about a third of the shops were open but still more than enough. Washing- if you need any clothes washed the hotel does offer a service but this was expensive . There is a laundrette at the petrol garage 2 mins away from the hotel and a 5kg wash costs 5 euros and a 7.5kg wash cost 7.5 euros . The washing liquid and conditioner automatically goes into the machine . Please don’t let any of the bad reviews put you off. We aren’t fussy but we also wouldn’t stay in a poor hotel and this was such a great hotel for an amazing price . If you are considering booking this hotel then please do . You won’t regret it and please ask if you have any questions . We also didn’t see anyone begging for money as a past review had mentioned and felt very safe in the area . As said above we found all staff very friendly even when we had to change rooms as the set up wasn’t as we had booked but this was done very quickly and no complaints at all .

|0.35km from city centerStayed with family for a week on half board basis. Check was quick and efficient, reception staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was very good and 5 minute walk to beach, there were shops opposite the hotel for anything you needed, particularly useful for stocking up on water. You can walk into the town which was only 10 minutes, with restaurants all around. Room was lovely, we had a triple room, we liked the style as furniture was wooden and gave a rustic forest feel, the toilet and shower were separate and not next to each other, so some may not like this, but this was fine for us, the shower was great and toiletries were available in dispenser, which were good quality. The rooms had cupboards but limited for you to store your luggage, safe, fridge and coffee facilities were provided . All rooms have balconies and look out to pool, bear in mind that rooms and balconies next to next each other so you can see and hear people outside, luckily we had gone when a bit quieter, so not an issue. Food was fine, although a little repetitive at times but overall good selection and fresh food cooked to your preference, we ate out a couple of times, you do have to pay for water at dinner. The lady welcoming you into restaurant was very friendly and always knew your room number, good customer service! Pool was too cold so did not use, towels provided at reception, the bar was good and offered good selection.We did pay to use the rooftop pool and bar which was lovely as you had beautiful views of the beach and town, you can go for drinks in evening, live music was available . The hotel also has indoor pool, steam room and sauna but you had to pay to use, which we did and it was only us in there, hotel should not charge and it’s a shame it’s under utilised. We had nice stay and hotel was lovely and we would definitely recommend and stay again.

Small pool and sun terrace and a restaurant with very small tables Staff were friendly and helpful, receptionist on arrival couldn't help enough, and an English lady in the restaurant called Debbie went out of her way to make me feel at home and offered her assistance if I needed anything. I increased my review score because of these nice ladies.

But the wifi sucks, it’s really terrible. it’s probably the last hotel in the world with blankets on the bed (pls. change it to comforters it’s really before 2nd world war that people used blankets). very annoying that people claim one of the too less relax beds at the pool with their towels before breakfast and then don’t show up for a while and the hotel staff should act against this but nothing is being done against this.

|0.26km from city centerFirstly upon our arrival our room wasn't ready, all inclusive you are given a plastic card in return at bar ur given a plastic glass with chosen drink, u must then return your glass in exchange with a card! (Wristbands easier)as a party of 4 we felt as all.inclusive we was looked down on, no table service unless your paying! After 11pm all Inc stops......$8.50 for a gin.....discusting in my opinion. There's an older bar man and the rudest man I've ever met! Reception staff not over friendly. Witnessed a toddler near drowning.....life guard was on his phone! Both pools are really cold! Rooms are dated but cleaned daily( cleaners where polite) food was okish...hotel was predominatly french and Germans whom were very rude and arrogant, not many English holiday makers. Entertainment was appalling and 1 evening it kicked off with families due to rude families standing infront of stage! Not many sunbeds for the ground pools we found out you have to que of a morning to get a bed the floor surrounding the pool is very slippy ( many slips and falls) lifts are really slow with 1ift broken for 2 dys. I would not recommend this hotel and wished I'd have read reviews prior to booking. Rooms also have no insulation could hear nxt rooms talking!
