Kirishima
|17.59km from city centerIt is located in a quiet place with a winding road from the main road through Kirishima Onsen 1km. The number of rooms is 39 It seems that it is a room, and it feels like an old-fashioned small hot spring inn. The building and rooms were old, and the elevator was a retro push button type. The hot springs are rich in water, with sulfur springs and simple springs, and you can choose them according to your mood. In addition, there is a rental bath 4, and it was possible to make a reservation by phone in advance, so I made a reservation for the most popular ”Akamatsu no Yu” about 1 months ago, but the next morning 6 and 8 Only available did. 2 Moon Morning 6 It was still night, and I went while illuminating my feet with the flashlight I lent in the dark. The open-air bath surrounded by the forest was wonderful and I was able to relax. I wanted to enter in a bright environment when the season was a little better. Meals have been devised using local ingredients. Because the room rate is reasonable, it is not high-class, but it was able to be delicious by the dish which was added by the hand. When I checked out, I felt that it was an inn where I felt the warmth of a simple person in the Showa period throughout my stay, such as giving me a boiled * as a gift.

|18.75km from city centerThe room was renovated and the room was beautiful. A historic inn where Ryoma Sakamoto and famous literary masters stayed. I'm sorry I didn't take an open-air bath due to the typhoon, so I want to revenge someday. It was really comfortable with four kinds of hot springs, including sauna and water bath, all at the right temperature and hanging! I couldn't walk around the garden, but there are many exhibits in the hall, and it was good to be able to enjoy free drinks while watching the illuminated cedar forest from the lounge. It seems that there were many cancellations due to the typhoon, and there were few people and it was very comfortable. The large garden communal bath was fluttering with rain and wind. If you want to say it's too bad, I'd be happy if you had a free drink of freshly made coffee.

|8.17km from city centerWe decided to add on one night in Kagoshima prior to embarking on our second Yakushima trip. We did this specifically to try out Myoken Ishiharaso - while the ryokan is a relative unknown in foreign circles, the its prominence among Japanese folks as one of the top onsen and culinary ryokans prompted to extend our trip to try it out. We're definitely glad we did! First, the location - even though it's a mere 15 minutes drive from Kagoshima Airport, we felt like we were a world away; the ryokan is on the outskirts of Kirishima National Park, and is situated along the banks of the pretty and quaint Amori River. It's definitely a place you can easily visit from Tokyo or Osaka given its proximity to the airport, and feel like you're in an off-the-beaten-path destination. On the other hand, it's quite a ways away from Kagoshima City proper... if you want to see the sights (Sakurajima, Sengan-en, etc.) then you definitely should plan for a long day or spend two nights in the area. Note that check-in at Ishiharaso is 2PM, and you'll want to get there not much later than that, if you intend to enjoy everything that the ryokan has to offer. We stayed in a Suite in the” Ishikura” annex building called ”Kirara.” It's generously proportioned (85 square meters) and features a separate bedroom/living room/tatami room, and an open-air outdoor Onsen (natural hot springs) bath on the room's balcony. The added benefit of staying in an Ishikura room (and a handful of the top suites in the main building) is the fact that you can elect to have meals in your own room. We chose Kirara due to preferring a more comfortable (to us), Western-style accommodation - Kirara's bedroom has two double beds, and the living room is furnished with real sofas. Please note that in-room meals are served in the Tatami room. We really enjoyed the variety of Onsens that are available at Ishiharaso. The in-room open-air Onsen was awesome. It's different from many others in that it's full of Iron, and you can really smell it. Not a super pleasant aroma, but it's natural, and it's not overpowering in its aroma. What was impressive is the fact that it's not only is it of the ”kakenagashi” (24/7 constant free-flowing) variety, but the volume and force is unlike any other Onsen we've experienced. We could tell that they are close to the source, and there is an abundance of the hot springs water that Ishiharaso taps into. We also tried out several of the Onsens on the property, and they were all interesting in their own unique way. There is a pretty pathway along the river that leads guests to the main ”Daiyokujo” (segregated communal bath) that is large and indoors in a separate building that also contains a lounge/cafe. In addition, there are several outdoor Onsens scattered througout the river banks, including a footbath, a mixed-gender bath, and two private rental baths for couples/families/friends. Ishiharaso rents out bathing suits for women, which is (probably!) needed for the mixed-g

A few mosquitoes in the middle of the night hurt me several times. The izakaya next door is a boss. Thanks to the boss for driving me to drive to the airport bus stop. On the way, I heard that the hotel was very clean at first. Later, because the Chinese came more, it was a little messy. The staff of the staff is not enough to take care of, and I understand. .

When the results arrived, the hotel staff specially arranged our dinner, which tasted good and served first-class! We booked a Canadian cabin and it feels warm and comfortable. The hot springs are also very comfortable. I will definitely come back next time!

|15.51km from city centerThe prefectural road from the airport was a mountain road with quite a few ups and downs. There was a lot of traffic, and honestly I thought it was far away. However, it was an accommodation that made me feel glad that I had come this far. The room was a two-room Japanese style room with a bed. There was also a garden and an open-air bath on the first floor. I could see the mountains of Kirishima and it was a soothing view. It was quiet and I didn't have to face other customers. As it is called a Japanese restaurant and inn, all the food was very delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, the miso-yaki large shrimp was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. All items are carefully crafted using local ingredients. Perhaps because the soup stock was good, the soy milk hotpot was rich and rich. It was quite a portion, but our family of four ate it all. Although it is quite far from Kanto, I would like to visit again to try this delicious food.

|17.84km from city centerVery unique place. Brush up on your Japanese as no English is spoken by any of the staff. Google Translate worked extra hours for us. But the proprietor was very accommodating and when we told her we were vegetarians she went out of her way to prepare for us delicious meals. Room was nice, relaxing with comfortable beds and linen. The small hotel / onsen has 5 baths (three outdoors and two indoors) that work on a first come first serve basis. Water from a natural spring was very hot. We had a very special time and recommend this hotel.

|17.43km from city centerThe open-air bath to be reserved and used was really the best! I wanted to use an open-air bath with no pillars or curtains closed, so I chose it in the mountains. At Maruo Station, I was able to collect luggage and have a great time walking around, so I used the transfer to check in and check out easily.
The banquets are also delicious and delicious. I ate a glass of draft beer free of charge because the service and drink were selectable. The black pork shabu-shabu tasted a bit unfortunately, so I went to Kagoshima city and ate some food. I don't know if it's like inn cuisine or shabu-shabu itself in our mouth.

|6.59km from city center. It was about 25000 yen per night. The room had two large refrigerators and two semi open-air baths connected to the hot water and the hot water. Both are source water. Dinner started with bird sting, pickles of non-pesticide vegetables, sticks of non-pesticide vegetables, vegetables, and lava baking of meat centered on chicken. Lava is said to be a lava in Sakurajima. Breakfast was self-service, with vegetables and a little food, and it was about a business hotel. This inn seemed to be doing a day trip rental bath, and there were many private rooms with open air burial in the building. I thought I could use it for time rental without staying next time. The hot spring is a carbonated spring, but it was not a carbon dioxide bubble, but it was a hot spring containing the same hydrogen carbonate ion as a heavy soda. At first, I thought that I didn't need two inner baths, but it was quite good because I could change the temperature like hot water and warm water.

The environment is particularly good, quiet, and can sleep in the mountains. 2, facilities: in addition to a little old, the other should have everything - the shared bathroom is next to it; the endless source of hot spring water with a smell of sulfur, want to soak it; teapot tea cups complete tea, special thirst quenching after the hot spring bath, there is one person A local refreshment - biscuits... 3. Service: There is still a distance of ten minutes from the JR Station of the Jingu Station to the hotel. The bus is very small. After the appointment by phone, the boss will drive in time to pick up. We will send us to the JR station in the morning of the next day. 4, health: clean and tidy. 5, catering: booked with a half-food package, dinner and breakfast with a rich set of food content, tastes good.

|16.35km from city centerI used it for the first time on a business trip. If you like hot spring ryokan, this Hanazura-san has a ”small guide” here and there in the hotel, and I liked the signboard lol. I hope you will continue to do your best. As you can see in the guide, the ryokan here can use the open-air and indoor baths for free if they are available. I was able to enter, and I was able to enjoy Yunohana. The room may feel a little dated, but I was able to rest on the fluffy futon. It wasn't cramped like a business hotel, and I was able to do my work at a large table without being affected by the Wifi speed. It seems that it is managed by a small number of people, so I can't help but ask that the inside of the hotel be well-cleaned, like a city hotel. It is also ventilated for virus countermeasures. I didn't have time to take all 4 baths, so I'd like to look forward to the rest at the next opportunity.

There is a convenience store nearby, which is convenient. The price is reasonable.

|16.23km from city centerWhen I was looking for an inn to climb Takachiho peak, I found a plan of ¥8250 with three meals with lunch box. I thought I could walk to the shrine in the early morning because it was within walking distance to Kirishima Jingu shrine. I decided to inn at Cospa without expecting. The toilet, the bathroom and the bath were jointly used, but the room also had a water bottle, and the dinner was very delicious with the heat 々, and if you ask for a surprise, you can correspond to the message and others And the lunch box that I ate in the mountain was the best in quantity and taste. I discovered an inn I wanted to use again. I was able to meet deer at Kirishima Jingu shrine at night.

|3.27km from city centerAll rooms are equipped with open-air baths, and the hair and skin are smooth with the refa hair dryer, which is absolutely delightful for girls. The meal is separate and the completely private room meal, the taste and quantity are all satisfied. There is also a smoking area outside, so smokers are safe It is a hot spring inn that suddenly appears in a residential area. The meal starts 10 minutes away, so all private is protected and you don't meet all the guests at all. Local sake is also delicious, and Suntory Yamazaki, Yoichi, Ao and whiskey are also available for high-class sake. The hot springs are hot at 45 degrees, but if you dilute them with water and lower the temperature, you can stay in for hours. Since the type of hot spring is bicarbonated water, it has the effect of removing keratin, so the skin is really smooth. It was really good to choose it as it seems to be rising to the top every year in the Kyushu region of Jalan. If you stay in Kirishima, it is an inn that you want to go again.

|17.5km from city centerI stayed with my elderly father. I didn't think there were many staff, but they put my luggage in the room and it was helpful. The room was large enough with a twin bed and a Japanese-style room with more than 10 tatami mats with a board. I can't deny the oldness around the water, but there was also a faucet for drinking water. Dinner is a restaurant with all-you-can-drink and has a menu of 、. The restaurant also has a high ceiling, chic and relaxing. The interior of shochu lined up on the wall was also nice, and many people took pictures. The contents of the meal were also served with a polite explanation. Especially good was that Sakurajima was seen from the large communal bath while the environment was in the mountains. I was able to realize again that I came to Kagoshima ~. The hot water was also soft and nice. If I could order one, I thought it would be okay to have citrus services in my room during the winter.

|17.92km from city centerMr. Matsuen, Kirishima's favorite inn. The distance is good and the main building can be enjoyed reasonably. This time I used the main building. First of all, hot springs, this is pleasant. The quality of hydrogen sulfide springs that can feel the so-called ”sulfur smell”. The open-air bath that enters relaxing while looking at the scenery around the inn is the best. I feel the fatigue of the day 々. Delicious dishes after the hot water! We enjoyed a rich variety of kaiseki dishes, seasonal vegetables, sucking, stabbing, baked goods, pots, etc., and the baked goods on this day are ”apple gratin” and gratin with apple sweetness and acidity. The first taste, the joy to eat things that I had never eaten. The warm food using the cherry blossoms was good. Akumaki is a bit nigate, but if you cook like this, you can get delicious ~, hee ~. It was a dinner with many surprises and discoveries! I would like to disturb you again.

|18.15km from city centerTired, crowded with grubby carpets but a great buffet and sweet staff. Some renovation has clearly taken place in this building, for example the 3rd floor dining room and the lobby. But our bedroom bathroom was not clean and the fittings were clearly very old. I do understand that the acidity from the volcanic emissions attacks metal fittings but that doesn't explain the dirt in the corners and margins of carpets, the stains on the ceilings and the dirty coverings on fans and speakers so easily replaced. The staff however were absolutely lovely, especially on reception. The hotel was extremely busy with happy multigenerational families enjoying the onsen. The breakfast and dinner buffet was first class. A fabulous variety of fresh produce served in Japanese style with some Western choices too. Generous and it kept coming throughout both sittings. We tried a private bath, old, slimy and lagged in deposits. The public onsen was better. We took a bus up the hill to the Ebino Plateau and walked among the volcanoes, and enjoyed coffee and the fabulous eco-museum. It was all gorgeous, although the path from Mount Karakunidake to Omari pond is very steep.

|17.39km from city centerWe came her in Feb 2022 for a weekend getaway from the city. Glad we did.All of the room will have a city view but if you book one of the corner rooms, you will not only get a nice tatami area for viewing but will have a city and mountain view, but be sure to get the top 2 floors for the best view. Also, if you book rooms ending in 01, 02, or 03, these will be closest to the elevators (the rooms were pretty well insulated against noise). The property also has a public onsen bath. To access it take a short automatic tram ride to a separate lounge area stocked with ice cream and drinks, then a short walk to the bath house. Along the way you will see a few cabanas that you can use to have a nice picnic when the weather permits. Meals are served in a semi-private space, meaning you will have a room but noice from the other guest do bleed through since the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling. Food was great. For breakfast, the hotel knew that I hated to look for small pin bones in the fish so intead the substituted it for stewed pork. The staff also performed one of the local legends after dinner, don't miss it. Overall, its a great hotel with excellent service.

|1.56km from city centerHotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan.
Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise!
There are two large parking lot and parking is free.

|3.1km from city centerI found this place when I lived in Kirishima Onsen Village and tried to move to another place. Check-in at 4 o'clock.. I arrived early.. I got off at the nearest train station and picked up the service later, 4 check-in was a bit late. Because it is a residential area, you can't see anything near Yokan. On the contrary, it is really quiet, so it’s nice to rest. There are too many kaiseki dinners, I did not apply, I only applied for breakfast. The breakfast time was really good, I looked at the scenery outside~~The hot spring was too slippery.. The stone was too slippery. I enjoyed the hot spring very carefully. The location is not very good. . Most Japanese people come here.. Most of the staff can only speak Japanese.. When you stay in a ryokan, please show the important content printed in English
Thank you very much for taking care of me.

There are many items and I feel the gentle feeling of the staff. The charm of the hotel is still there. The staff is comfortable with a good sensitivity. Check-in is possible even at a late time of movement (car rental) on the final flight of the aircraft. Because of the friendly price, you can easily enter the local night before. The tavern near the hotel that I taught at the front desk is delicious and the price is reasonable. (after the final convenience) you can eat well even if you enter the store at a late time.
