0.34km from Mmm LoukoumaOur family group of five (17 - 60 year olds) stayed for 10 days at the Castro Hotel in June'19. We had two spacious, high ceilinged, two room suites with basic kitchen amenities and balconies front and back. The view over the beautifully kept gardens and pool area was great. The hotel is very clean and well looked after with our rooms perfectly made up each day. The pool and surrounding area was ideal and we always found sunbeds at all times of the day. The walk from the hotel into Kamari, and the many good quality restaurants and bars, is about 10 minutes and past a beautiful church. The bus service into Thira (Fira), the capital (note all buses go into Thira), takes about 15 mins and sometimes full during the high season, depending on where you board. Tip: If going to Thira check with the rep or online to see how many cruise ships are due in that day, as that will impact how busy the capital and surroundings areas will be. Our experience was up to three ships was fine but things were very busy when 4-6 ships were moored up. Areas of improvement for the hotel: - Family who run the hotel are quite inconsistent; some are very friendly and helpful and others are in dire need of some customer service awareness. - Breakfast very basic and some more fruit and local produce would improve things. - Pool bar infrequently manned. Be visible and maybe go around the pool area and ask your residents if they would like anything. - update the in room showers to be more than hand held please. In summary, all of our party would recommended this hotel and, if your expectations are not too high on the service and amenity front, you are likely to have a pleasant stay.

0.35km from Mmm LoukoumaWe have been at the hotel for 3 days so far. Lovely warm welcome, airport transfer arranged... Picked up by a friendly guy in a big air conditioned minivan.. Extra cost but that was expected and explained. The hotel is very clean, fresh towels and room cleaned every day so far. Tbe pool is big and it has very comfy loungers... We are room only but you can pay 5 euros for the breakfast buffet and we have done twice.. Its absolutely fine, typical Greek breakfast buffet, breads, meat, cheese, cereals, yogurt fruit etc. The guys who run the hotel are very friendly, and helpful, asked for a kettle for the room. It was there when we came back from our evening out. Less than a minutes walk to several shops, one being 24hours, 2 minutes to the beach and the front where all the bars and restaurants are.. I have stayed in kamari many times and actually visited this place previously when my son and his girlfriend stayed here... They loved it and I can see why Oh and the beds are super comfy... All in all its a lovely typically Greek, I presume family run hotel, friendly, clean, great value for money and close to everything.. I would definitely stay here again.
0.36km from Mmm LoukoumaI stayed at the Sellada Apartments for 5 nights and it was the best decision of my trip in all of Greece so far. The rooms are so nice and traditional that I felt like I was experiencing something similar to what life might be like for locals. The manager Dimitris told us all the best places to go see, organised our tour of the nearby islands and even gave us a lift to Fira one night when we went out. Plus he puts on the best barbecue I’ve ever attended on Wednesday nights. The worker Fortini who does almost everything around the place will make you feel so at home because she looks after everyone like a mother. The location is also super convenient being only a few minutes walk away from the beach, all of it’s amazing bars and restaurants plus the bus stop to get around the rest of the island. If anyone wants a truly hospitable Greek experience in Santorini I would highly recommend staying here!

0.39km from Mmm LoukoumaWe came to this hotel back in may 2018 and had a fab time it was well situated right on beach front with all bars tavernas just walking distance we only stayed for 5 days so thought we’d come back again this year so booked for sept for a week ,well.....it wasn’t the same at all I requested a ground floor room as I’m not good with heights when I booked it back in January ...and didn’t get it told me they were booked up but I booked it ages ago so why couldn’t they accommodate me....the room was very small, towels were rock hard and disgusting ,reception staff were miserable there was only a couple of staff that actually smiled, cleaners were friendlier...!!!breakfast was basic and the same every day nothing different and didn’t serve til 8.30!!!couldnt even get a coffee which is absolutely rubbish....beach beds are included but couldn’t have front row had to pay for those we fancied some snacks on beach crisps etc only to be told we couldn’t take them on beach what the hell...!!!Santorini is a beautiful place and kamari is lovely so would reccomend a visit but stay somewhere else there are lots of nice hotels and apartments on the beach front just do your research because I wish I’d of paid extra and stayed somewhere nicer
0.39km from Mmm LoukoumaWe just arrived back in Manchester uk wishing we were all back in Santorini. The hotel was in the perfect spot in Kamari just one block from the beach and all the beach front bars. We were lucky enough to book the larger of the apartments with two bedrooms, roof terrace and the best plunge pool to cool off. There was even a day bed there with superb views of the sea and mountains. Ample sun loungers too for five of us. Breakfast here is included and was great. Served by a lovely friendly lady who also cleaned our rooms daily. The rooms were spotless and the kitchenette came in handy at lunch. Angel the receptionist and the other gentleman, sorry I didn’t get his name were very friendly and super helpful. This was a last minute booking after our original holiday was cancelled due to COVID but we are so happy that we ended up Here. We loved Santorini and would love to return one day and to this very same friendly hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Sam, Nick, Lauren, Luke and Alex.
0.43km from Mmm LoukoumaWe booked this hotel last minute due to the current situation with COVID. The hotel is in a quiet area surrounded by a few other hotels which are all very quiet. It is a 1/2 min walk away from the beach and all of the restaurants and bars. When we arrived, Eleni greeted us all together and allowed us to check in from the poolside so that we didn't have to all go inside due to covid. She sanitised everything in front of us, and the pen before she gave it to us. She was more than helpful and took us to our room. We had room number 13, that overlooked the pool and also had a bit of a sea view. Sitting on the balcony was perfect for plane watching too! I think our room had recently been refurbished as it was all very new and the bathroom was amazing! Wi-fi was free. Eleni and her family were very friendly & were always around if you needed anything. The only downside to this hotel was they didn't change our towels everyday and that we had to pay 5 euros per day for air conditioning. Overall, this hotel is perfect for couples and families and is such good value for money. It's in a perfect location and Eleni and her family were so lovely. We would definitely come back.

0.45km from Mmm LoukoumaStayed here for a week and loved everything, room was great with a balcony and views over the mountains. Food was excellent and free sun beds if you have lunch (and a beer)! Breakfast was sufficient with lots more options for an additional charge. Great location, on the main strip on the seafront but not noisy or congested plus no cars or traffic! Yannis and the other staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you. We had family come from other hotels and they were always accommodated- lots of tables moved and chairs shuffled for us. Small pool but always sun beds available with additional ones stored round the back. Excellent value considering 4* hotel and 5* service. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back!

0.46km from Mmm LoukoumaThey are apartments within walking distance from the beach. The positive part is that it is close to the beach, affordable and the location is good.. There is a very small kitchen with an electric burner and a refrigerator. There is air conditioning which is a blessing in the suer. It’s a great place for college students vacationing or families with children. The apartment that sleeps four is actually a two bedroom apartment. The negative part is that there are two people who rotate at the front desk during the day. The young lady is passive aggressive and not helpful. She may be new. I understand the hotel is under new ownership so things may improve. The WiFi signal is better in some rooms than others. Our tv did not work when we wanted to watch the women’s soccer championship and no one could help. It’s rustic. There is no pool or water view like the pictures show. There are many places with the dolphin name but only one Dolphin Apartments in Kimari Beach. The rooms really are for sleeping because they are not comfortable. Who hangs out in their room anyway in Santorini?
0.48km from Mmm LoukoumaReviewing this hotel is quite difficult as there were some good aspects but some not so good. First thing to note is that there are two different businesses on the same premises - Fomithea Studios (2*) and Fomithea Hotel (3*). Fomithea Studios are let to TUI clients and are not refurbished and definitely very 'tired', but you do get to use the 3* facilities of the rest of the hotel. Good points: * very nice reception and breakfast room. Very contemporary and clean. * lovely pool area, spotlessly clean with a nice pool bar. Not quite enough sunbeds for the number of clients but that is due to lack of space. Like another reviewer we also experienced the 'saving' of sunbeds but this situation seemed to improve after a certain contingent of returning visitors had left. The pool gets the sun all day and is a good size for a proper swim * nice breakfast with choice of hot and cold dishes, meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, juices, pastries. A choice of indoor eating or an outside terrace. * bed linen and towels changed every three days * the young girls doing the cleaning were always smiley and pleasant * great location, just 10 minutes walk to Kamari Beach and within a few minutes walk of amazing bars and restaurants * luggage storage and shower facilities available for use on the last day if you have a late pick up for your flight so you can make the most of the day * air conditioning and Wi-fi Not so good points: * as said previously the studios are not refurbished and very tired (we were travelling with TUI) * room cleaned (ie floors mopped and bathrooms cleaned) only every 3 days when the bed linen and towels were changed * hit and miss on the plumbing (shower could go from a power shower to a trickle or from hot to cold without touching the tap) but I think this is a Santorini problem rather than the hotels * self catering facilities are VERY limited. It is difficult to have tea and toast for breakfast when there isn't even a toaster (minimum requirement in self catering accommodation in my opinion). There was no surface to prepare food in our studio and the bare minimum of crockery, cutlery etc. (no dishes for cereal, just two plates, two cups, two saucers and two glasses). With such inadequate facilities we found it necessary to either pay for breakfast in the hotel (not included in the price of our holiday) or go out for breakfast, which put quite a chunk of money onto our spending * never before have I seen a notice threatening extra charges for laundry if make-up, sun cream, blood etc. were seen on bed linen or towels, and not just a nominal charge - 20€ for a large towel or sheet, 10€ for pillow slip or small towel. I don't put make-up on my towels and sheets at home but just about exfoliated my face every night to make sure no trace was left before I went to bed. The charge would also be levied if you put towels or bed linen on the floor!! * we did not find the staff as friendly and accommodating as some other

Hotels Near Mmm Loukouma In Santorini Review
Overall staff were very good obliging and friendly . The hotel is in a very good location with beautiful views overlooking the Calderra. Breakfast and service was excellent. The luxury suite is very small and overpriced . The bathroom is tiny, bedroom is very average and the sitting area Is very uncomfortable. There are no cushions against the living room wall. The swimming pool beds and chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Would not recommend staying there at current price levels.
Rocabella is a beautiful place to stay. The views are incredible, the beds and rooms comfortable and has an all-round peaceful but inviting atmosphere. The staff are so helpful, friendly and wonderful. We were greeted by friendly Dionysis every time we went to the restaurant who was always up for a chat. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble either. The food was great too! The reception staff Eleni and Irina are fantastic, always willing to help! We cannot say enough good things about Irina as she helped us with everything we needed. When we booked a tour that didn't show Irina called around and found us an alternative pithing a few minutes. Surprises awaited us for a special occasion that felt very special and personable. Overall, Rocabella is a place that truly makes you feel special not just because of the beautiful setting but because of the staff and attention to detail fo getting to know their guests.
Santorini was our second stop on our Greece and Italy vacation. When booking our trip, Volcano View Hotel was given to us as an option by our travel agent, and I chose it based on the reviews. I am so glad that I did because it was above and beyond our expectations in so many ways. Of course the views, implied in the name, were absolutely gorgeous and the sunsets were unforgettable. The room, 103, was right by the office which was nice, allowing us access to the road to get on our shuttles very quickly. The room was very nice, clean and had a great view along with the rest of the the hotel. We arrived on a Thursday, and they were having their final Greek Night and we jumped on the opportunity right away to be a part of the celebration. It was so much fun! My husband and I danced with the dancers and group of people during almost every song, ate so much yummy food, and got to break fun plaster plates! So memorable! The pool was cold but still enjoyable. We met so many great people at the pool that we will always remember including Sophia who worked at the bar! She was so friendly and helpful! All the staff was really great, and friendly helping us all steps of the way. They set the pool up so you don’t feel the wind as much as you do throughout the rest of the hotel. The restaurant had tasty food, and again the view, especially during break fast was great. We were highly satisfied and would definitely stay here again when we return to the island!
We stayed here for one night after 6 nights at Volcano view which was closing for the winter. We got upgraded to a lovely modern room and a complimentary late checkout. The grounds are immaculate and everywhere is so clean and safe with Covid. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to help you. Particularly the waiter at breakfast who was so friendly and helpful as well as the guy who saw us struggling to move the parasol and helped us and was so friendly. Staff at this complex really make the experience of the hotel and they definitely go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. The complex is modern and welcoming and rooms are elegantly decorated. The pool area is relaxing and spacious. Breakfast is great and lots of choice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying on the island and the staff are a real asset to this hotel. We had a lovely time and appreciate all that was done for us.
Day 1. GM Alexandra has already made the trip an experience you would yearn for. After seeing some skeptical reviews on the welcoming, I can hand on heart say that they are complete BS. Within seconds we were made to feel welcomed and without sounding too cheesy, she quite clearly has a passion and desire to fulfil her job role as GM to the fullest which is why I feel compelled to write this. The team have currently been incredibly attentive and offered advice on excursions around the island with minimal fuss. Service for me is 9/10’s of the trip and Alexandra for me, has made sure that’s been delivered. I would personally recommend the Jnr suite with pvt pool for not only a spacious room and luxury of a private pool but it gives you unrivalled views across this amazing island. I would welcome any messages for further clarification/ advice if you needed a more in depth review but given the current service offered and room, I’ve genuinely felt compelled to write this review.
Breakfast is available in six packages, with bread, cheese 🧀️, turkey legs, eggs, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee ☕️. Jam, butter, honey and more!
