So I reserved this hotel for my family who was visiting me in Korea. We decided to head to Busan for a long weekend. With 6 people in my party, it was difficult to find a hotel that had comfortable space for 3 adults in 2 rooms, but Brown Dot Hotel came up in my search. When I saw the proximity to the train/bus station, jacuzzi bathtub option and included breakfast, I booked fast! So why 3 stars? Let's start with the pros: 1) Proximity to the train station and major bus stops. It's literally right across the street from Busan station so it was easy for my family to get around. 2) The surrounding area is great food wise, good convenience store options so you won't have a problem in that aspect. 3) The room was clean. 4) The room was a decent size for 3 adults. Our room had 1 queen size bed and 1 twin bed, comfortable mattress and pillows. My particular room set up was a little strange. Our toilet and sink was in a partitioned area on one side of the room and the jacuzzi and shower were on the other side of the room in another partitioned area. 5) The staff was nice. Their English was ok, basic understanding. 6) Bathtub is huge! Didn't have a chance to try it, but is definitely able to hold 2 people comfortably. Alright, now for the cons: 1) Before we went to bed our first night, we set our AC to the temperature we wanted. By 2am we woke up in a hot sweat only to realize that the AC unit was unresponsive to the AC controls and frozen in it's open position. After a few hours of trying to solve the problem ourselves we called the front desk to let them know of our situation. Within 1 minute of our call, it seemed like the front restarted our AC unit from what we assume is a main control unit at the main desk. 2) One of the main reasons why I booked this hotel was for the included breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7-10am, so my family decided to go at 845am. When we arrived, all of the food was finished and no more food was being put out. There was still a whole one hour and 15 minutes left for breakfast, and the only things that were left were loaves of bread and coffee. I was highly disappointed with this. This forced my family to have to wake up extra early the following day just to bring food back for the family, so we can get what we paid for. 3) One thing you'll quickly notice is that our area is surrounded by other motels. That's not the problem. The problem is that these motels are catered for business men and their...after hours business activities. If you have young kids, this might not be the best place to bring them as around 10/11pm at night, you will see women of the night just hovering along the main street you walk through towards the hotel. Anyways, I had high hopes for this hotel. The first 2 issues I had were the main reason why I rated this hotel 3 stars. If you are just passing through Busan, this place will be fine. Just don't be surprised with the bag of goodies they give you upon checkinFromUS$37.00

We chose the hotel for its proximity to Busan station. If you have luggage, the easiest way is to take the escalator from level 2 (facing Texas Street) to the elevator that goes to the street level. From there, it's an easy walk to the hotel across the road. Exploring the city via subway is just as easy. The hotel is just 3 minutes' walk from exit 7. The room price includes a simple breakfast and there's a coffee machine in lobby that provides complimentary coffee and hot beverages. We were allowed to check in early without an additional fee. The only minus was the way the bathroom was designed. There's no partition/shower curtain that separates the bathtub & shower from the toilet which makes the whole area wet after a shower.FromUS$37.00

I did not expect such a nice hotel for such a reasonable price. It was really a good stay. The room was very warm and comfortable. The bathroom was great, the bath especially was nice to relax in after traveling. The staff at the reception were so welcoming and helpful. The decoration is very stylish and the view from the roof of the bridge was beautiful. It is very close to the train station.

Breakfast is included at a good price. As it is a newly built hotel, the hotel bedding is clean and comfortable. Haeundae Beach, Dongbaek Island, and Galmet-gil are all within walking distance, and it is good because there are many famous restaurants such as Haeundae Market nearby. The price is good and the bedding is good, but I always use it in Jeju, but Haeundae is a newer hotel, so it's a good idea.

We had two rooms - the Corner Suite Twin. and Superior Double Room.
1. The hotel's 4-star status commensurate with its offering.
2. Service was overall good. The front desk was helpful in booking taxis for us during our stay there and it was easy to have "outside Starbucks" as a convenient pickup point.We had an issue with the coffee machine and the technician came to look into it quickly. However, we did not receive much help or guidance when I asked about travelling to Seoul. (note: the KORAIL website was difficult for me to navigate or buy tickets). Perhaps this could be an area to help guests with as I ran into a situation where the train tickets were fully booked.
3. The Superior Double room was rather cramped but mangeable
4. The checkout timing is 11am. Any requested delay would incur charges. Since the lifts were quite slow as well. it resulted in a rush as everyone tried to get into the leave at around the same time to checkout.
5. Any additional towels and water required would incur additional charges.
6. There is an emart below which was very convenient.
7. The default password for the safe should be indicated as instruction somewhere in the room - so we did not have to ask the staff.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days from November 15-20 to attend a Kpop concert and vacation as well. The hotel property is newly renovated. What's not to love about the hotel? The Starbucks coffee is right next to the hotel for my early morning coffee runs and a delicious artisan fish cakes store is also right across from the hotel. Also GCU (store) on the ground floor of the hotel. Everything is available at your convenience. The Busan Station is literally steps away as you exit the hotel and also very near the Busan metro and public buses. I find that Busan's public transportation is easier to navigate and more english friendly to non-Korean speaking tourists. I want to thank all the staff of this hotel for their awesome team work and warm Busan reception. It was my first time in Busan far away from my home in New York City and I was not familiar with the place. My flight arrived late at around 11pm and I was hungry coming from the airport.The hotel staff at my request ordered a Korean friend chicken delivery as it was difficult to order take out as a non-Korean speaker. I know that wasn't part of his job as a concierge but I want to thank that Korean gentleman at the front desk during the late evening shift of November 15. The housekeeping is also great and hospitable at this hotel. I loved that regardless of language barrier the housekeeper still tried her best to communicate with me in english and asked me if the extra sheets I requested was ok and not too warm. I felt like I was vacationing at my relatives home with that level of care and thoughtfulness from their housekeeping staff. In my 2nd day, I opted their breakfast option at the top floor of the hotel. I paid for 21,000 won for a buffet breakfast. The kitchen staff quietly takes care of their guests without being over bearing. They arrange the utensils and place breakfast mats in the seat you have chosen then remove the used plates as you get up and head back again to the buffet table. I enjoyed the food and service so much that I actually eat breakfast there every day. Worth the $18
