Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in hotel ! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the general manager (Ranji),The staff was extremely friendly and supportive,speacial thanks for chaminda who served us... anyone who plan to stay in this place,find chaminda..he will take care of u properly..the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the GM deserves a special thanks. We had two great nights here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Also cant forget the food....20 years old young chef doing a marvelous job...we tried srilankan and western dishes.... seafood spaghetti was unbelievable!!!FromUS$24.00

A quite hide out located amidst the village and close proximity to Yala Palatupana entrance. It is only 10 km from there to the entrance trough a shortcut. Highly recommended to get a 4x4 jeep to go to the entrance from here through this shortcut. Hide Yala is walking distance from Kirinda - Sithulpawwa main road. The dorm has 8 beds and 2 bathrooms. A separate dining area and 2 air conditioned rooms as well. Hide Yala is very clean and cozy with the view of Peacocks and variety of birds coming from the jungle in front of it. The garden has several wood apple trees and there is a lake nearby which is a walking distance. The caretaker is very friendly and courteous. You can pre-order the menu you want including barbecue and he is always good enough to customize the menu as per your requirement. A hot cup of tea in the morning and in the evening will energize you with the lush view in front of the dormitory. A group or couple of families can have a super time there while enjoying the wild life. Highly recommend this place with 5 stars.FromUS$33.00

Stayed here to explore the safari at Yala National Park. The hotel is in the middle of a larger area of the national park. You get an individual chalet. Wooden chalet (like a cottage) in the midst of serene surroundings oft visited by guests from the wild. Nothing to worry, just keep the doors closed and you shall be fine. No problems walking around until dusk. Post sunset, you will be escorted into the common areas by a torch bearing staff member. Lavish buffet spread for both breakfast and dinner.Went for the safari in the early morning, you can either book it with them or directly with some independent safari jeep drivers. They packed nice breakfast to take to the safari as well. There are 2 restaurants on site and a pool. One restaurant serves ala carte and the other buffet. I quite liked the ala carte as well even though options were limited, the food preparations were unique and satiable to the palet. There is a beach close by from where you need to return before sunset. Book your dinner package with the hotel as there aren't options to venture out in the evening. All in all, a very unique experience in the midst of the jungle.

We stayed here for three nights during our trip, primarily for the safari. The car picks you up at the hotel and it’s only a short ride to the park. The hotel is beautiful with a huge pool and some of the most helpful staff we have encountered. We even saw a pool boy go out of his way to rescue some fallen baby birds, climbing a tree to put them back in their nest. We felt that people here really cares for the environment and the beauty of the setting the hotel is set in. The food here was fantastic. We loved eating in the bar upstairs and watching the beautiful sunset. The rooms were large and spacious, with a great balcony and outdoor shower. We also even saw monkeys and an elephant walking around the hotel. It was amazing. This is the perfect escape.

Because Anantara, who lived before, left a very good impression. So in Sri Lanka, I also deliberately found this hotel as a destination for South Beach. However, the results were disappointing. Problems such as: 1, the efficiency is very low, check-in for an hour, first wait, then because there is no driver room, luggage is not delivered, the restaurant can not be booked, all kinds of time. I have to take a bath towel, etc. I have not showered. Check out is also slow, the front of the local aunt to pay for the three rooms of the normal hotel have paid 18 ... 2, facilities, swimming pool at 6 o'clock in the evening or the first time I heard. People say that the pool bar and the pool are the end of the sunset. Although I don't understand why, I am drunk. The hair dryer touched it and it was sticky. I couldn't help it. I didn't blow it anyway. I didn't do it anyway. I waited quietly for the hair to dry. It was also Anantara. Why is Sri Lanka so unreliable... Later it arrived. A***galla found out that this is not related to national character... but it is not nothing. For example, the beach is still beautiful, breakfast is still very rich, especially with a smoothie bar, you can also open coconut. There are many small animals in the resort, not afraid of people, very interesting.

It was a fantastic stay in shangrila golf resort and spa.we was checked on octomber10 it was a nice stay and the staff was very freindly and kind .And the food was good .The staff from calling center they was very helpful and caring between our stay i was remember those names Mr Thilip and Ms kawsalya and others as well. From inquiry, to check in to check-out was an amazing experience at Tamarind Tree. Charith no doubt is an asset to the company who knows exactly how to please his customers. The food was so fresh and authentic. Best Sri Lankan dishes, made with no preservatives or artificial flavors but fresh ingredients. The F & B staff Gunawardana, Menuwa, Malith and Chef Thilan was so warm and helpful, always with a smile and ready to make it a warm stay. There was so much unity amongst the team and every team member including Ruwan at house keeping ensured we were well taken care of The safari breakfast pack was well put together and adequate. Was prepared on time and presented well! Thank you! Extremely pleased with the deliverables and only request is to review the menu prices as it caters more to expats than locals which is not a good thing as a simple club sandwich cost LKR1450 which is way too expensive. Also, please implement strict rules around use of swimming pool with proper swim wear. It is disgusting to see people clothed in normal clothes and getting into pool without a shower! Overall, it was value for money and thank you very much for meeting our expectations and been flexible and accommodating. Well done Charith and everyone I have named above!

If the wonderful people working at this hotel went to a hospitality school, it should be the world standard. This place is amazing from the moment you arrive and the staff waving goodbye as you leave. We felt like royalty, and that is not an exaggeration. People were around to help no matter what the situation, but without being in your face. We felt like they were like the CIA and when we left our tent, someone radioed the restaurant to have “our” table ready. We were constantly amazed. The service was the best my friend and I have ever experienced and we’ve traveled to 25-35 countries respectively. The service is about the people, and the people were delightful and seemed to anticipate our needs before we knew we had them. Simply magical! Huge thanks to Tihan, Kenny, Suranga, the naturalist and the servers at the restaurant, and the cleaning staff who created a work of art on our bed. Towels folded into animals are a thing of the past here - nature art is the new bed art at Wild Coast. Now the food - outstanding, delicious Sri Lankan food, and lots of it. The staff bends over backwards to make you feel full and welcomed. We also tasted a few award-winning signature cocktails the head bartender created and was featured in a magazine for them. The property - another OMG. Beautifully maintained, laid out so each tent has privacy, but not too far away form anything. Wild animals roam around and are only dangerous if you are not being smart. While we were sipping our Brut upon arrival while lounging by our private pool, about 30 monkeys walked on our pool deck, drank from the non-chemically treated pool and moved along to what looked like their own happy hour on the beach. The buildings are stylish and functional and fit beautifully into the landscape and is right on the Indian Ocean. There is a large pool, but not a typical beach, it’s rocky and not suited as a swimming beach - but there is plenty to do, so it wasn’t missed. Finally - the room - OMG - the room! It felt like we were on a movie set. Enormous vinyl tent with copper tub, and copper frames and fixtures. The room/tent was cleverly laid out and designed with optimal use in mind, e.g. the safe was build into a nightstand drawer, a desk was reused as a beverage station, there was plenty of room for chairs, writing desk, etc. instead of more words, look at the pictures I posted to understand the grandeur of this place. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, there is a tub and shower in separate spaces, double sink, plenty of towels and toiletries, free minibar, private pool with lounge chairs, Brut upon arrival, I could go on and on. An elephant wondered by our tent at 5 am one morning and took a stroll along the beach, we heard it trumpeting! So cool. The staff is very careful and serious about guest safety when it comes to wildlife, after dark, someone escorts you back to you tent for safety. Last, but not least, they have naturalists on staff
