|4.03km from city centerThe hotel was but really needs some overhaul to bring it up to speed. Upon entering we learned we had been bumped from a king to two queens.... not a deal breaker but we do enjoy snuggling in a large knd bed. Our reservation clearly stated king but the front desk said that they would have to charge an additional fee to move us to a king. Not worth it for a single night! The room was OK, but nothing outstanding. The bath was less than expected, with missing tiles, moldy caulking around the bathtub, and the cabinets in the bathroom looked pretty beat up... not sure someone hadn't taken a knife to it at some point. But the most disgusting item was the rusty door jamb... It really looked bad, and nothing a couple of coats of paint couldn't help. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was fine, and the breakfast bar was well stocked and actually surprisingly tasty. Would I stay here again? Not likely but it was fine for one night.

|6.6km from city centerMy job is 100% travel so I pick up on the small details that really make the difference. No matter what the request big or small they always responded in a positive professional manner. Housekeeping excellent very detailed. Management Jolinn the GM and Martina in my opinion represents the standard why Marriott is the largest in the world. There are other Marriott hotels in the area that are also nice however I will return to this location when I am in town for business because great service always rise to the top. James A Titanium rewards holder.

|4.02km from city centerWe stayed here without planning for it in advance; our travel plans changed that necessitated an early departure. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff member at the front desk being so helpful, and even more impressed by our room. When you stay at a Motel 6, you shouldn’t be expecting a room on par with what you might find at the Ritz-Carlton. That said, the room we got might as well have been Motel 6’s equivalent of a penthouse suite. It was immaculately spotless, and the 50” TV mounted on the wall lended itself well to the ambiance. It’s clear that the proprietors of this particular Motel 6 care about the little things, and it is easily one of the best Motel 6’s we have had the pleasure of staying at. I am only sorry we did not get the chance to stay longer, or have the opportunity to make use of the kitchenette in our room. The only negative observation I have to note is that the Wi-Fi signal in our part of the property was not strong. We stayed in the furthest corner from the front office, so perhaps that was to be expected. However, for a clean, comfortable room, I will gladly sacrifice reliable Wi-Fi.

|4.46km from city centerOur room was clean and mostly quiet but we could hear the TV from the room next door. Basically appeared to be a new hotel. The pool was stated to be heated but it sure did not feel very warm. Check in was fast and friendly with many choices offered for where to dine. The only knock is the breakfast area is quite small and when it was busy people waiting for their waffles blocked access to the rest of the breakfast wall. If we find ourselves back in Abilene we would stay here again.

|4.36km from city centerStayed here on a one-night business trip recently, it’s a good location close to Abilene Christian University, with some pretty strong dining options within a couple of miles (or one could drive 10 minutes to downtown and find some other really good options, too). Seems to be an older property with some roof damage from previous weather, and if your in-room fridge does not produce ice (like what happened with me), there are no icemakers except in the kitchen area, so desk staff will have to help you. I was very pleased that they were able to check me in hour early, but I was not pleased that within 30 seconds into my room, a housekeeper barged in without knocking, because she wasn’t finished cleaning my room yet. I didn’t make a big deal of it, but the kitchen trash remained unemptied, and the bathroom counter was a little bit messy. After my first four hours, my freezer still had not produced any ice, so I took the ice tray down to the front desk to request some ice, and the clerk behind the desk asked me in a very condescending way, “well, did you turn the icemaker on?“ I won’t type how I responded, but she very quickly got me ice from kitchen. Still, this is a very good location away from the downtown area, and let’s face it… Some of the other lodging options closer to downtown are pretty sketchy. This place is quiet, you’re within walking distance of a Hooters (which is actually one of the nicer ones I’ve ever been in), and you’re a very short drive from a lot of other food options. I will definitely stay here again.

|4.07km from city centerThe location is right off the interstate and the hotel is new. excellent rooms and great beds with choice of pillows - They have a restaurant with a lounge and breakfast buffet which were open surprise? we decide not to eat but had curbside at Denny`s next door. The down side is there are no other dining options at this exit and all the gas station are off brands

|6.65km from city centerWe travel frequently and our typical choice of hotel is Hampton Inn. This hotel does not meet our expectations for what we have come to expect from HI. We have stayed at this hotel three times and likely will not be back. The hotel is older, and needs serious updating. Cleanliness is not as expected—mold in the bathrooms, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, dust/debris under the sink, stained lampshade. The beds vary in comfort, but our last one in room 202 was not comfortable, and creaked with movement. As far as service, everyone we encountered was pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast attendant was truly on top of his game. This hotel holds promise, but needs some work.

|6.84km from city centerVery nice hotel with a pool ,& very clean . The outside sitting area has grlls for cooking & a tv very accommodating . But on different note I got 2 rooms both kings with pullout couches . Only to find out that the pullout couches don't pull out . So we had to make pallets for the kids , which I understand doesn't sound like a big deal but for the price I paid for the rooms it was very aggravating . Had I know about the couches I would of got rooms with 2 beds . So yes I'm a little frustrated . Wasn't offered a discount , nothing !!!

|7.22km from city centerMy family and I come to this hotel often at least 10 stays in the last 6 months. apon arrival we didn't even get greeted or welcomed by Aubrey who was more worried about his dog ,we asked if it was a service dog and was told it was a rescue dog,we have been told since we started staying here that they don't allow emotional support animals which my daughter has but the employees can have there dog at the hotel? We had to wait to get are room because it wasn't finished but on are mobile check in it said the keys were made ,the elevator wasn't working and no one called to let use know it was wasn't working and to add to it there was no coffee in the pot down stairs we asked if we could get a fresh pot and was told yes after waiting 15 min we got are keys to the room and went up around 2 and came back down around 3 and there was still no coffee or hot water in the pots,i told the next guy who was coming in for the front desk shift and he dropped everything before even clocking in to make us a fresh pot of coffee with a smile on his face and no hesitation and even told us sorry and even brought us up some cookies and a note thanking us for staying at the Fairfield inn I think this place needs more people like Juan and not the first guy on the am shift who was more worried about everything but us the guest.

|6.91km from city centerHotel was mostly OK. Brand new as of 2024. But, we found hair in the shower and in the sink. The end tables and counters had glass rings on them. Housekeeping isn't up to snuff. Breakfast was fine for us at 8:20, but we got the last of the hot food. So, again, not really up to standards. Everyone was very nice, which goes a long way.

|2.35km from city centerWife reserved room on Hotel.com. Paid on card upon arrival for 3 days 174.00 and cash disposit of 50.00. Upon driving to room 163 at the rear of the property we observed property to be dirty and unkept. The pool had no water, tree branches, trash and debris in it. Upon walking up to room I observed dry dog food all over ground and rock bed and broken office chair at entrance. I then opened door and observed bed to have been recently slept in, a dirty wash cloth, paper bag, as well as blood stains and other unknown stains on bed. I observed trash on floor and opened mail under desk. The bathroom counter top had refrigerator and microwave in front of un usable vanity mirror and roaches on bathroom floor. Not only worried about Covid-19 but other infectious diseases due to unsanitary conditions of room. I immediately returned to front office to check out. I was offered another room but advised the clerk that what I observed from the time I left office is indicative of what rest of property's has to offer, nothing but dirty and unsanitary rooms and no pool. I immediately ask for my money back. I was given deposit back but told the 174.00 was ”non refundable”. I called the Abeline police department for stand by for refusal of money. I notified Hotel.com of property miss information and pictures. This was to be a simple trip to lake after weeks of quarantine, but just another example of how unsanitary some places can be. I am posting this because of injustice. By the hotel refused giving my hard earned money back and forcing me to stay in unsanitary premise or find shelter elsewhere at my expense..The clerk attempted to again offer another room and was not mean or aggressive. The clerk advised that I could come back in morning when manager was in for refund but I asked for it imediately because my wife and I were going to and needed a room for night. The clerk then called manager who advised non refundable per hotel policy. My wife and I ended up driving 2 plus hours back home overnight and lost $174.00 in 30 minutes plus food and gas expenses to and from home. We had another couple coming up the following day. We advised them to cancel. Hotel.com gave us a $45.00 refund voucher for reservation and apologized for loss of money and will investigate. How would you feel? What would you do? ”Do not stay at this hotel” for your health and safety.
