First of all the service was better than I have ever experienced, so welcoming and pleasant. Me and my 7 year old son stayed there the night as we were off to Rendelsham forest the next day, on arrival ther receptionist was so helpful and kind. Makes a huge difference, the next morning another lady said good morning and asked about our stay, makes a difference coming from London that staff actually care and are so helpful. So on leaving we forgot my sons Ted, he doesnt sleep without it and was in tears when i found we left him there. But once again not only did the staff find him they posted him back with a lovely letter saying how much fun he had but was happy to be on his way home. Guys you dont realise how much you have done for us, I am so in awe of the fact that customer service like yours still exist, I travel alot and i promise no other hotel has gone beyond my expectations the way yours has....thank you so much me and zak both really appreciate it..... Best Regards and thanks again

We chose this Holiday Inn when we were visiting the Essex/Suffolk coast as it gave easy access to both. The only downside was that it is located between 2 busy roads so was a bit noisy, nothing that ear plugs didn’t sort out tho. The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff courteous and friendly. We chose a room with a king size bed, and yes it was 2 singles pushed together (pretty normal these days) but it was comfy and didn’t affect our sleep. We didn’t eat in the hotel, choosing instead to eat at the Brewers Fayre - a 5 min walk away, and had breakfast at the Toby Carvery, 10 mins away. Well placed for road connections, we would def use again if in the area

Stayed at the travelodge for work purposes. No leisure stays being taken . And found it clean and comfortable. I had an issue first night of 3 with what I thought was plumbing noise which disturbed my sleep. However, when I went to the night reception at 2am to see what might be done, Sharon was just so nice and helpful, although nothing could be sorted until a room was ava8( makes sense), no problem. Upon returning to the hotel next day , David had sorted a nice room a few down the corridor from the original and I slept so well. Even on what I thought was my last day, my employer had paid for an extra night so I was able to rest during the day. David came out with the room key to allow me to use the room. Such a nice gesture. My point is , for whatever the room rate is, and this was cheap, you could be forgiven, cheap rate cheap service. I need to tell you that the staff at Duke street , esp Sharon and David were 5 star. Couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. As it turns out, the room itself was clean, and tidy, tea and coffee adequate, more on request, hair dryer available and shower good . Altogether a nice experience made nicer by the people who work there.

I chose this one for an overnight stay, whilst meeting up with friends in the area. I find Premier Inns are more consistent than other lower cost hotels, so was comfortable paying a bit more than the cheaper alternatives. It’s not the easiest hotel to find. It’s on a two-lane one way system with a bit of an excursion if you miss it (as I did). However it’s in one of the more interesting parts of town and minutes from the quay for a nice walk and take in the fresh air. The hotel reception is on the first floor with the restaurant. Check in was efficient and friendly. Access to the resident corridors required the room key; reassuring as it is possible for anyone off the street to reach any floor without going by reception. I went for a disabled room as I was expecting a wheelchair bound friend to join me (who didn’t in the end). Rooms are of a reasonable size and practical. Tea and coffee facilities are always welcome. A largish TV and desk is provided, where you could connect a laptop to the TV if you so wish. Bed was king size and the mattress comfortable. In other words the standard I’ve come to expect from the chain. I feel it’s worthwhile mentioning some minor issues I had, none of which would be showstoppers for future visits. The biggest one was mobile phone reception (carrier reception, no so much wifi). I couldn’t get any service in the room unless I was near a window, and then it was, at best, flakey. This is a major concern because when I’m away I need to be contactable. Free wifi was available, although it was fairly lousy. You certainly couldn’t stream Netflix with it, and it was barely able to download a few emails, although I was able to send messages no problem. The room was booked for two people, but there were only towels for one (and insufficient pillows by my preference). No issue in my case, but presumably reception would have been able to sort this. My room was on the first floor. The area around the hotel is quite busy with two-lane one way roads carrying lots of traffic. Insulation was excellent, but I did open the window to see what the noise was like, and I would have found it too loud. Thankfully air conditioning was available, although the control panel doesn’t have a backlight and it was difficult to read the icons to get it working. Bathroom was ok with grab rails for disabled needs. Disabled rooms either have shower-only wet rooms or low level bath. Basic towels are provided but a flannel is not. For soap and shampoo it seems to be a generic, no-nonsense dispenser for either shower or sink. Shower was ok, with large controls suited to those with low dexterity. The bathroom had one emergency cord with a reset controller. This is well placed for the shower and toilet, although two may have been better as the sink area was a bit out of reach. I usually don’t pre-pay for breakfast as there’s no particular advantage in doing so. The breakfast room is not massive but there is plenty of comfortable sea

The hotel is currently under renovation on the second floor and can only be taken to the second floor by the staff elevator, so the overall experience is not ideal. The room is relatively small in general. Some service staff will help us to lay the sofa bed for children, but there are not many good hotels here in Yipu, so this is a convenient hotel from the central city. . No breakfast choice, the restaurant looks small. Parking is 7 pounds a night, which is ok.

After travelling 270 miles we arrived to The Station Hotel. Our money was taken and Room 8 key given. Sat having a pint and need to use facilities I decided to use the room. What an absolute filth pit. In a nut shell no vent on wall, loft access left open, masking tape on lamp shades, bathroom ceiling coming unstuck, window sealed with cardboard, one window pane replaced with plastic sheet and gaffer taped into place, room very dirty, so dirty in fact I did not use the facilities. I went back to reception to see young girl who had given me key who said she was aware of the state of the room and would speak to her manager. The chef came out and only offered a card refund, and said they have 2 more rooms the same - not helpful after 270 miles. The "Manager" then arrived back and his first thought was to wipe the bar down. He came over and asked what was the issue with the room. Card refunded but Ipswich was fully booked due to 3 big events. We had an absolute nightmare getting a room but eventually sorted in time to get to our event. The Station in Ipswich is a Greene King owned "Hotel" I will be calling them direct to register my disappointment and look forward to their response........

We stayed here for one night. Overall I’d say it was a positive stay, although the problems I’ll mention below really do need to be sorted. Positives: The price is good - reasonable. The owners/staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is very good as it is near the train station, and yet somehow not too noisy. The rooms were also generally good with nice, large beds and pretty clean for a house which is clearly not new. Breakfast was pretty good as well. Negatives: The showers and toilets were the biggest problems. We stayed in two rooms, and both had shower issues. In one of the rooms the shower wouldn’t turn off, while in the other the shower head was clearly broken and so sprayed water everywhere except where you wanted it to go. The toilet in one room was incredibly loud and also faulty as well. Finally, the shower water leaked through and onto the floor with the toilet meaning we had to put towels down to stop it flooding the room. Smaller issues were doors which were difficult to lock and unlock, and sometimes having to wait a while for someone to come and help. The place isn’t the Ritz and of course no one would expect that as it’s a 2-star establishment, but I’d say it delivers almost everything you’d hope for. I hope they sort out the showers and toilets, though.

This is a budget hotel so the rooms are very small and the facilities are quite basic. That aside, it is clean and the beds are comfortable and it is a great town centre location. They have recently stopped charging extra for use of the TV and by booking via EasyHotel's ClubBedzz website you can also get free wifi. I stay here regularly and the reception team of Claire, Chloe and Renae are always very welcoming and extremely helpful. Very good value for money.

We had a limited menu for dinner but had something we liked.Breakfast is superb, two of everything its an effort to get through it all, next morning my wife and I asked for one of everything! The guy on reception,Paul, was the general dogsbody bless him, receptionist, barman and waiter. Rooms are dated and were chilly as no control over the heating in the rooms, great shower and an iron and hairdryer are provided. Will stay again and special thanks to Paul who looked after us on our two night stay.

I very rarely write reviews for Trip advisor but I couldn’t not for The Railway Inn in Westerfield. What a lovely stay we had. We booked last minute after it being recommended by another bnb as we’re trying to find a place where our dog could stay with us, all the staff there, particularly Sarah, couldn’t have been more welcoming. The room was gorgeous, big comfy bed, great shower, everything spotless. Nice touch of yogurt, bananas, water and cereals in the communal fridge outside. Own entrance to rooms for past pub hours. Great little garden outside for the the dog and to sit in to enjoy a drink. Beautiful fields with wildflowers and gorgeous views with walking paths 2 minutes away where we went for our Sunday morning walk. The photos don’t do the rooms justice. We loved it here and would highly recommend it :)

Close to the train station, if the transfer is convenient. I'll set the price. Check in is the bar counter, which has its own characteristics and personally prefers the bar counter. Wifi seems to be charged, it is the only hotel in the UK. Most restaurants for breakfast, including Hilton, are around £ 10, and here are more than £ 15, so I did n’t eat it, I do n’t know how.

We stayed for one night as we were passing through the area. Check in was quick and everything explained to us. The room was spacious and comfortable. I’d compare it to a Premier Inn which isn’t a bad thing. We had dinner in the pub which was good and service as quick. Only issue was some muppet deciding to apparently smoke in their room at 2am so the fire alarm went off and we all got to stand outside, not the hotel’s fault but I hope the person was dealt with accordingly!

We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton for the Scottish Oct week. It was very clean, I was apprehensive of how hotels were during Covid-19 and had read a lot of reviews for where to stay in Blackpool based on since when COVID-19 started and the Hampton by Hilton got some of the best reviews and it far surpassed my expectations. From check in the place was very clean, all staff were wearing masks, they explained that daily cleaning service had been suspended but if you wanted your room cleaned that day you just needed to say, or if you needed new towels or toilet roll they could give it to you at reception, which is great as it limits human interaction. Dinner: we ended up eating dinner there three of the four nights as I found a lot of places were crowded whilst they had us well spread out and ensured ppl had masks on whilst moving around. The food was nice if a small menu, the staff were great very friendly and helpful. Room: we stayed in room 304 and it is at the back of the hotel partially overlooking the carpark and partial sea view, it was two king sized beds which were really comfortable and we slept well, it had lots of charging points which in this day of electronics was great. I think it could benefit from a wee shelf on the side nearest the window as there was a table on my side and on the other side of the other bed. It has a heating and cooling system and a good shower but doesn’t have a hairdryer in the room so remember to take your own. Breakfast: was well organised and really tasty. There was a great selection of both hot and cold items, coffee and tea there was even chocolate or strawberry milk for the children. The staff were very vigilant and challenged a couple of lads who had come down to breakfast without masks or lanyards to say they didn’t need to for medical reasons, they came back down with masks. Location: the tram station is across the road but it is easily walkable to get to both the south and central pier, pleasurebeach is about a five minute walk whilst the south pier is maybe about ten minutes depending on if the wind is hitting you. There is also lots of hand gel located throughout the hotel which was good. Overall if I was coming back to Blackpool I’d definitely recommend/stay at this hotel again, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and well thought out, it was a good location and breakfast was tasty. Thank you for making our family stay enjoyable, my daughter had never been to Blackpool and I hadn’t been since I was three which wasn’t yesterday!

I stayed here and you certainly get what you pay for. Room was basic but clean and all you needed to rest your head for a night. I unfortunately left my headphones at the hotel and was distraught when I found out as I live 3 hours away, however the manager was more than accommodating and sent them back via an envelope I sent them and I could not be more thankful. It may not seem like a lot, but my headphones are needed for my everyday so when they arrived back safely I was overjoyed. Nothing is too much for the manager, really nice and would recommend staying again! Thank you so so much.

We stayed here overnight as going out with friends. There was a derby match on with Fleetwood so bar filled up pretty quickly after the game. But what a fab atmosphere. There was a lovely gentleman that greeted us on arrival & advised the car park was full up but gave us a free voucher to park at Travelodge. There was no places at the time but after 15 mins wait we secured a parking place. Said gentleman (concierge) is by far a massive asset to the hotel. Our room was lovely & view spectacular, everything you needed for a night away plus more. We went into the bar fir some lunch & although it seemed to take ages it was well worth the wait. We were very late getting back 3.30am (dirty stop outs) but were greeted so warmly on our return & had a chat & laugh with security. Breakfast this morning was amazing, only down fall was no black pudding & fried eggs a little sad but the scrambled eggs were as light as a feather. I burnt the toast & set fire to it (my fault) but the staff just laughed, very nicely & sorted it. Check out as check in was as smoith as ever & lots of chat. We will definitely return as quite simply, the whole experience was a poor joy

I just don`t know where to start with this "HOTEL"...I had read the reviews which are mostly negative so I wasn`t expecting anything special...2 stars, basic but they do a breakfast and are close to the amenities. On entering the place, it was obvious that the decor and carpets were rotten. strong, musty smell but the lady seemed pleasant and we were given our room keys...Nothing, and I mean, NOTHING, could have prepared me for the nightmare I was walking into. The room are the smallest I have ever seen. I have a potting shed with more space!..The toilet area had a large puddle of coloured fluid around it and the lighting area above the shower had so many dead insects of different sizes that a field biologist would have had a field-day. I complained to the lady about the water around the toilet and she said I could have the room next door. She obviously didn`t like me complaining as she put me in, what I can only describe as a cleaning cupboard..8ft x 11ft as a form of punishment. I declined her offer of the cupboard and said i would have to avoid using that area. Though I was told it would be fixed..it never was in 3 days. There was the issue with "Towelgate". "no towels"," I`ll get her to put them in your room", "no towels", "I`ll put some in your room", "no towels", "fetch em yourself!!!....My friends room was even smaller than mine and you know a room is small when you cannot even get a wardrobe in it!!.(He never did get any towels so I gave him 1 of mine)..There were 6 of us staying at this place and we all had the issues. No hot water in 2 of them, no heating in 1 of them, I tried to open the windows in my room and they all appeared to be locked shut and the toilet window had the handle snapped off. After 2 fire alarms at 7am in the morning, I felt this place had some real issues. We asked for breakfast in the morning, told that would be ok, went out for the evening and on our return, we were told that they had cancelled our breakfast because they thought we were going to "get pissed" and wouldn`t be up in time for breakfast..Unbelievable..(Does 2 gin and tonics for a 57 year old lady count as "getting pissed") Thankfully, this actually did us a favour as the dining room is disgusting and I doubt it would have a food hygiene certificate and there are plenty of cheap cafes just a 2 minute walk away and they are clean with good hot food. All in all, this has to be the worst place I have ever visited. I would suggest that the new owners have bitten off more than they can handle, they are friendly, only 3 people, but this establishment needs an awful lot of time and money spent on it to bring it up to the very basic level....enjoy the photos!!....oh, and as for the "Pool" that some people keep mentioning, the only pool I saw was the the one in my bathroom. Luckily, we, as a group could see the funny side and was certainly an experience but, listening to everyone complaining at the reception, makes for a toxic environment. I don`t

This is a tremendous place to stay if you want to enjoy Blackpool. Number One is located on South Beach close to where the illuminations start. This means being an easy walk from the tram stop that gives easy access to the whole of Blackpool (for a £5 a day hop on hop off ticket). The trams run back until around midnight. A taxi to the Tower is about £7.50 if you prefer. And if you want to walk this is just as easy and completely free... There are dedicated parking spaces and plenty of on road free spaces that are free and safe. Number one has a tremendous welcome - the two girls that greet you, escort you personally to your room to go through the facilities and look after you at the well stocked bar are friendly, happy and helpful. The help, generosity and welcome is extended by Mark who was able to provide first class recommendations for restaurants and shows (we took up the recommendation to see Kinky Boots which was exceptional) and he was kind enough to provide a discount code for the Winter Garden. What strikes you when visiting is the quality of the decor, fixtures and furniture throughout Number One. The owners take great pride in their property and it shows. It’s modern, funky, clean and bright. The rooms are all well appointed, clean and well maintained. We had number 12 on the third floor. This is serviced by a lift or staircase. The sea view is good and the room boasts tv, whirlpool bath, shower, remotes for lighting, small balcony, seating area and comfy bed. The box of nick nacks that could be little essentials in the wardrobe is a super touch. The bar area is a generous social area and the range of drinks wide and various. Service is until 11:00pm after which time and honesty bar works if you want a night cap or longer chatting. Breakfast selections are made the evening before to save wastefulness and works really well. It’s a wide menu along with a buffet for fruit, cereals etc. The quality of what Mark cooks is exceptional. The fresh orange is a must. It can be cold in Blackpool but Number 1 can be really hot... Number 1 is a credit to the owners and staff. An award winner. And one of our favourites from our travels - no mean feat.

I booked online to stay at the Las Palmas hotel for 3 nights. I then received a phone call about an hour later informing me they had to close the hotel for ‘technical issues’ however they would put us in their sister hotel The Royal Windsor instead which was like for like. When we arrived to the location it was nothing like the pictures I had seen for Las Palmas and certainly was nothing ‘Royal’ about it. We checked in and found out there was an additional £10 per night for the dog and an additional £5 a night for car parking. I had seen online about paying extra for pets however not for parking. Anyway I paid this and the full amount for the room for 3 nights. We did not get to park our car in the car park that night as it was full so we had to park elsewhere even though we had paid. Our hotel room was tiny. The lights were flickering and everywhere smelt of cigarettes and smoking from the rooms.Myself and my husband hardly slept a wink due to the amount of noise from downstairs ‘entertainment’ and the noise, arguing, shouting, banging etc from guests. Again we wasn’t informed of entertainment in the hotel when we was changed over. The next day I spoke to a lady on reception and complained and explained we wanted to leave and didn’t want to stay there. Miraculously Las Palmas hotel was then avaible and they would move us over to there as they didn’t have many guests or any entertainment etc so would be a lot quieter and more suited to us. We arrived, the lady on reception was absolutely lovely and even let me choose between 2 rooms. The hotel itself was a lot nicer, the room was a bit bigger so we were happy. However the noise again kept us up until gone 2am. I went and spoke to the same lady on the desk in the morning and said we where leaving to go home and not staying for our third night as we were knackered and I am 3 months pregnant so I need to rest and sleep. Again she was lovely and very uunderstandable and gave me the telephone number to speak with the manager. I later phoned and spoke with the manager who was VERY rude and questioned everything I said and said I should of done something about it at 2am in the morning. I explained I didn’t fancy going downstairs at 2am in my Pj’s etc but I did take recordings of the noise which I would happily email across. I said I Would at least like my money back for the car park that we had not used the first night and for the third night I had paid for staying but we was not then using... he consistently said this isn’t something they do. Refund. I asked why we had been moved to the royal Windsor in the first place after booking online and he couldn’t give me an answer for this also. The ‘manager’ then hung up the phone on me twice. Not very professional. I asked to speak to someone higher or who owned the hotel in order to sort this but the ‘manager’ would not give me any details or tell me anyone I could speak with in regards to this as he is the one who deals with everything and he doesn’t give

It is tired, and needs some investment, it needs someone to love it and to make it good. It’s a big place, and for whatever reason, has been left to fall apart. However, the man that checked us in was very helpful. We had 2 prams, helped up in and out on several occasions. We were only here for 1 night, and paid £92.00 for a family room. Which at the time of booking was cheap, I always read reviews before booking and decided to book anyway, giving them approx 5 months to get stuff sorted..,..they haven’t. It’s still getting the bad reviews that it deserves. They had there settings with booking.com set so you couldn’t change or cancel. Or you would be charged anyway. So when I’ve re read their reviews a month ago, I couldn’t cancel. Or I’d of lost the money. So for that reason, if your reading this before booking, check everywhere else first. Make this your absolute last resort. It is dirty, dusty window sills, stained carpets, it’s stuff that if you was running a hotel properly shouldn’t have. It’s run badly no doubt about that. Good points... .it’s close to the tram stop.. Lonsdale car park is about a 5 min walk away....£12.00 for 24 hours. It’s close to the beach, centrally located. Really sorry there is nothing good about the hotel itself. Oh yea 1 our beds were clean. 😀 the only reason we stayed.

Arrived and were welcomed by Veronica and Bob, both wonderful and friendly people. Taken to room on top floor as requested, clean, tidy and wonderful room, only downside is I'm What one would call large and the gap between the toilet and sink is small but I squeezed through lol Shower worked well, bathroom although small was wonderfully clean, I'd even go as far as to say pristine! No noise at all virtually at any time but night times are silent and peaceful, breakfast is amazing, full English with toast, conserves and butter, coffee or tea, cereals, fruit and fresh orange the works! The hot breakfast was cooked to perfection and tasted brilliant a definite 10/10 on that side of things! The dining room is immaculate and Veronica and Bob are careful to protect from covid, the tables are covered after they are cleaned with plastic sheets to make sure nothing can deposit on them when people walk past etc.... Wanted to stay another night and Bob not only worked around other clients he even gave me a small discount too! I'd highly recommended this small, cosy hotel, away from the main strip but a 3 minute walk to the tram stop, the owners are friendly, helpful and make a stunning breakfast! Extra duvets on wardrobe in case you need them. Both Bob and Veronica will.help you What ever your needs, amazing couple x Don't hesitate to book here!
