Sunny Beach
|1.77km from city centerNever judge a book by the cover. Please avoid at all costs, do not waste your money. The hotel looks amazing from the outside. Rooms are in need of an facelift as are very tiered and the cleaning definitely needs improving. Our main issue was service and no cups or glasses. We arrived and wanted a coffee but they only supply very thin plastic glasses which we thought was quite dangerous and doesn’t make for an enjoyable drink. We went for dinner and found some cups in the dining room, the coffee machine had been turned off and when my husband picked up two cups the manager tried to forcefully remove from his hands which caused us much distress, we were then followed around the hotel by security. We are in our 60s so we were very upset and I wanted to go home. We have never felt so humiliated in our life. At night in the bar again no glasses, only plastic glasses which I did not enjoy our G&T out of. To say the hotel is 5* is a joke. No beach towels provided they had run out but only about 6 were being used around the pool. It’s also the only hotel which charges for the beach sun beds, on the plus side the beach is lovely. We tried to complain to the manager who just said sorry and if we want a proper glass we just need to ask ( which we did and got told we couldn’t have one !!! ) She was most unhelpful. She walked round the pool most days and when I said one day about the evening food she she said Yes Cold !!! Well do something about it, it’s not rocket science to provide decent food. The food is very poor and the evening food was quite inedible and cold, so we had to eat out most days. If the weather hadn’t been so good we would definitely have got a flight home or booked into another hotel.

|0.43km from city centerIt was already early October when we went, the Black Sea was so cold and cold. The hotel closed in mid-October. So very deserted. No one at the swimming pool. It's better in summer. All inclusive meals.

Sunny Beach
|3.01km from city centerWe have very fond memories of our stay at the HI Hotels Imperial Resort. The hotel is located at the beginning of Sunny Beach, not far from Nessebar (a 25-minute walk), right by the sandy beach. The hotel itself leaves a positive impression and is comprised of three complexes. HOTEL / ROOMS (DeLuxe): - spacious rooms with balconies (sea and main pool views), carpeted floors, with elevator access to rooms, - rooms are equipped with LED TVs, a phone, and a safe (free of charge). - large and comfortable beds, - bathrooms are well-equipped with toiletries and clean, fragrant towels. - rooms are cleaned daily with towel replacement, - available iron, kettle, and ironing board (with deposit), - the hotel grounds are well signposted with directions to attractions, bars, etc, - there is a bus stop about 100 m from the hotel, allowing you to reach the city center, the airport, Burgas, Nessebar, Ravda, Sveti Vlas, Pomorie. RESTAURANTS / CUISINE / BARS: - the hotel has two restaurants (All Inclusive+) and two à la carte restaurants, - daily themed dinners, e.g., Greek, Arabic, Mediterranean, - restaurants offer a variety of dishes; there's a wide selection of food (though it's a shame that people waste so much), - there is a children's food area, - delicious coffee, cappuccino, and chocolate from Segafredo coffee machines, - tasty cold drinks from vending machines (I recommend cherry juice), - a Lobby Bar with original cocktails is available, and you can order a custom drink, - poolside food and drink area: late breakfast, snacks, fruits, fries, burgers, donuts, waffles, ice cream, drinks, etc, - all dining areas are well-maintained and clean, IMPORTANT: When you check out, your All Inclusive wristband is left so you can enjoy your food. POOL / BEACH / AMENITIES: - there are several pools, including an indoor pool and one for children with various water attractions, - the pool water is clean, and the area is well maintained, cleaned every morning, - there is a special play area for children, - the hotel provides beach towels (with a 20 LEV deposit at the lobby) that you can exchange daily, - access to the beach is through dunes (a 2-3 minute walk); the beach is large and clean, - there are sun loungers and umbrellas available at the beach for an additional fee, but you can also go with your own towel (there is a naturist beach nearby), - the hotel offers daily activities: daytime sports and physical games, evening shows in the amphitheater, - there is a fitness area and a gym available. SERVICE / STAFF: - good communication with the hotel, both before the stay (via email) and during the stay, - reception staff is very friendly and helpful, - the hotel manager is a true professional, always smiling, regardless of the situation, - the restaurant staff and cleaning crew are also very pleasant and diligent in their duties, - efficient and friendly animators who encourage guests to participate in activities, - the hotel has a currency exchange office wit

Sunny Beach
|0.92km from city centerJust returned from a 2-week stay at the Glarus hotel. 2 adults and 1 child We stayed bed and breakfast. Food was OK, nothing special, and pretty much the same every day. If you didn't go down early enough, then you missed out. Especially on things like pancakes. The pool is long and narrow and is really cold. It's shallow at the steps but then goes quite deep, and you can't stand up anywhere. sunbeds were a nightmare. There is not alot of them.Sunbeds were all taken by 7.30, with no one to be seen till around lunchtime. The rooms were dated but clean. You can upgrade on arrival for a sea view, which we did, which cost us just under £100 for the 2 weeks. The view is amazing, and we thought this was worth it. Although you only get the morning sum on the balcony, if you like a beer on the balcony in the sun before you go out, the rooms at the back are probably better. The location was perfect, just a 10-minute walk to Flower Street. We were only disturbed 1 night from the Kimbo bar, which was directly across from the hotel. The music didn't stop for 24 hours, and they seemed to turn the volume up at 6 am. But like I said, this only happened once and we kind of expected it at somepoint.Staff were OK, apart from the cleaners nobody looked or said anything to you, not even a smile. All in all, we had a great time. Probably wouldn't return to the Glarus because of the food and pool situation.

Sunny Beach
|1.95km from city centerWhere to start ? First of all it's our fourth travel to Bulgaria but the first to Sunny Beach (in the past we've stayed in Golden Sands). My opinion stays, in this country, seaside related, almost everything is better that in Romania. ------------------- THE GOOD: ------------------- The hotel staff is permanently adapting and improving, I'm glad that I'm constantly seeing better english speakers as the years go by and their hospitality skills are also improving. Very polite, very patient, they don't reach the hand for tips and do not interfere when there's no need too. The CLEANLINESS ! Oh my God, that place was sparkling clean ! All of it: from the gardens to the pools to the rooms and all the surroundings. There wasn't a single straw / piece of plastic/paper anywhere. The grass is permanently trimmed and everything is so tidy held in good order. Quality: everything from lobby furniture to pool amenities to even the beach's lounges and umbrellas is sturdy and clean. The Internal Restaurants: The main restaurant is very clean and tidy, the food is very diverse, although at times it seems that it's more made for the vegetarians, but that's a good thing. Meat products aren't as plenty as the veggies, but nothing to complain here, the diversity is so huge that I myself, a convinced meatatarian, even decided to try the veggie delicacies which were fantastic. The pork minced meat is kinda funny in taste because they use some condiments I'm not used to; but it's a culture thing, they aren't the only ones to cook it like this. The pizzas were absolutely fabulous and the beef stew / pulled rabbit and pulled lamb were absolutely fabulous. Great variety for breakfast, for absolutely every taste. And the sweets: absolutely magnificent. I can't say that I have a sweettooth myself, but all my friends were utterly impressed by the sweets. The ASIAN Restaurant: I simply had the most exquisite and beautiful experience there. It's completely separate from the main restaurant as concept and design and food quality. The courses I've had there, the bottled wine and the service were from a completely other world. Best sushi. Best salmon avocado. Best duck. Best everything, the ASIAN Restaurant is a MUST ! They also have a barbecue one with some kind of american specialities, but it didn't quite catch our interest. BEACH BAR / LOBBY BAR / POOL BAR They have 24h service at the lobby bar which is a must. Place gets crowded, everyone wants drinks, water and such. The Juices are mediocre at best but they at least have some alcoholic drinks in order. Teachers was the single whiskey brand to be recognizable, as the rest were probably the cheapest in range. Their luck is that I've had worse in Turkey at a much higher rated hotel. They have a beach bar. They serve ice cold sodas in all varieties and beer. Great touch. The beach is also superb and clean, but if you want room to sit you have to get there until 09:30 or else it's full. ------------------------------

Sunny Beach
|0.26km from city centerFully air conned Spacious rooms Our kids had a full size adjoining room which was just amazing and u don’t get that a lot … It was cleaned often and came with hairdryer …although if u have long hair probably best to let it dry naturally or you will be there a while! Air con worked a treat Beds were comfy enough Showers - power showers so another great bonus to this place Room wise … 5/5 Food is your standard all inclusive stuff..not great …plenty to get …but barley warm and it was the same thing pretty much every day. The pool bar did chips, pizza, hot dogs and burgers, kids pretty much just ate out of here all day as it seemed fresher then the main restaurant . Plenty of ice creams / lollies etc Without the pool bar for food we would have gone hungry or just eaten out. Food wise …2/5 Drinks Standard all inclusive Wine was actually ok and beer seemed fine Didn’t try the spirits so not sure about the “watered down comments” Coke, sprite, water readily available for kids etc ..can’t complain on this one Drinks wise …4/5 Entertainment Yer good But our kids are 9 and. 13 so not much for them I felt it was more adult based then for kids They couldn’t join in on ping pong, water polo etc because they had to be over 18? But we’re too old to sit colouring in? The animation team were friendly enough and tried to get everyone involved but as said previously not a lot to do for older kids as they were too young to join in a lot of stuff Entertainment for our aged kids …2/5 Pool Really good We didn’t struggle for lounges etc Lovely clean pool, nice and big but as always these pools are freezing ..once your in though your in and warm up quickly Pool …5/5 Location. Excellent So close to sunny beach strip and the beach you can’t get any better Location…5/5 All in all a nice medi budget hotel Does the job Make sure your expectations arnt too high and you’ll be fine Will we come her again? .. probably not..not terrible but could do with some slight upgrades

Sunny Beach
|1.59km from city centerToday is my last day of five of the total stay. Marriage with a 12 year old girl. We chose this hotel because it had parking, swimming pool and breakfast included. For what we are doing it is not bad. In the morning at the pool, we eat on the beach (it is across a street) and around 6:00 p.m. we take the rental car. We visited a town and had dinner (Nessebar, Sozopol, Burgas). We spent one day at the Nessebar water park and one afternoon at the Sunny Beach water park. The hotel is very clean, the pool is good and the beds are good. The negative point is the breakfast. It is very bad. Poor quality food and always the same, bad service: missing cutlery, glasses, tables... We got the hotel very well for the price so it didn't surprise us. What we did was have a snack mid-morning and eat early on the beach. The staff is not friendly but in keeping with the rest of Bulgaria. The prices in the hotel bar are not expensive. In short, if you have a plan similar to ours, you can take it but for a maximum of 3 nights. The area in general is very touristy and atmospheric. In August it is appreciated because it is very hot inside.
