Just stayed here for 2 nights with the main objective to travel into Oxford for a couple of days. The car park was virtually empty and we did only see another couple of people at the hotel, we had Room Only offer so cannot comment on what was offered for breakfast. We had Room 134, quite a walk away from the reception and no Wi-fi could reach that part......the hotel and Room was clean and all Covid rules were being implemented. Just a 5 minute stroll into Banbury and around 15 minutes walk to the Railway Station..so suited us fine. Would recommend if you needed to stay in this area.

Stayed for two nights in February and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is old dating back to the 17th century I believe and has kept a lot of features giving the hotel a lot of character - this said we thought throughout the hotel it was a really nice temperature. On a cold day outside the hotel was lovely and warm. The breakfast which we had on both mornings was excellent and plentiful and the staff were so nice. This hotel is well-placed just to the north of the town centre. There is a very useful walking route to avoid the traffic. I soon found it. The breakfasts are excellent, and although there is some sound from the bakery at the back, it doesn't create a nuisance. Unfortunately I had to leave after three days as I became too ill to stay any longer. Hopefully I will be able to go again. I did, however, get to Oxford by train, and Chipping Norton by bus. This was the second attempt at this review; the stupid system wiped out the first attempt and I don't know why.

Had a two night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. He cycled to the inn and they stored his bike in a outside shed. Looks like it's been refurbished as it's all new looking. Rooms up steep stairs(no lift). Room small with bed pushed up to wall. Large window which looked over the local church, which chimed on the hour but stopped at midnight. Music drifted up to the room but not too loud but we were warned. The best parts of the stay was the staff were fantastic and so helpful even telling us where we could visit. However the food was superb. Best breakfast i have had. Cooked to order with top quality food. Evening meal, with good choice, could not be faulted. Would recommend and we will be back.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Right from the very point of our booking with central reservations at Greene King… We particularly wanted a twin room and they got back to us to say that if we could travel a day later, then we could be accommodated. It all went so smoothly. From the time of our arrival:- car parking facilities around the back – very easy and free; we were greeted kindly and welcomed and the room was super ~ so clean, comfortable and light. Oh and with a bath AND rain head shower. Nice touch we were tentative with opening the window and the manager came up and not only opened it for us, but also set up a fan in our room so we were cool, when we returned to our room. Some nice sunny tables at the front and back of the hotel, so we had a lovely couple of drinks sat in the sunshine. The food was really good and plentiful and so we ate there both nights and the included breakfasts are superb value for money; a really good breakfast selection, all cooked to order and plenty of hot drinks too. No buffet ~ what a relief! Nothing was too much trouble for Dan & his staff; they are an excellent team; really friendly, affable people who, you just knew, wanted you to have a lovely time & hopefully return. We will! Also recommend the National Trust property Upton House and Park, only about 20 minutes drive north-west – well worth a visit, especially if you appreciate art, ceramics and walks! Couple of other pubs in the village too – the Bell Inn, a v friendly real ale pub, is definitely worth a visit. As is a walk around the public lake – very near to the hotel. A great hotel, in a friendly, interesting location.

We stopped off at this pub a few years ago. Very welcoming and did some amazing baked potatoes with fillings. Not this time! Friendly enough staff when we walked in. Ordered 3 pints and asked for menu. Very limited menu and no baked potatoes in sight. Two of us ordered chicken and mushroom pie. I ordered mine with mash and mixed veg. Just before the food arrived my friend went back up the bar to order some drinks. He had just started taking the order and pulling the first pint when the phone started to ring. ( I own a retail shop so I know that once you have started to serve a paying customer you do not stop and answer the phone, who are not. Paying customer) the bar man stopped and answered the phone. My friend was left standing there so he came and sat back at our table until the bar man had finished the phone conversation. This was such a rude thing to do. Food arrived. So disappointing. Pie was one end of the oval plate and my mash was the other end with the so called mixed veg in the middle. Mash looked like it had been put onto the plate with a plasters trowel. Mixed veg was such a small portion one or maybe two desert spoon full. I then had to go up to the bar again and ask for English mustard which was asked for at the time of ordering Also had to ask for salt pepper vinegar and sauce for the couple who had ordered chips with the meals. Lovely looking pub in a great location. Sadly we will cycle by next time. My pie and mash cost £9.50. Disgraceful.

Staff are very professional and very good. We arrived early, and as our room was ready we were allowed to check in early. We had the family room. The suite was great, with an extra single room just around the corner from the main double. Dressing area with tea/coffee making facilities. A coffee machine and a great selection of teas. We enjoyed our stay, but the room did need a touch up. There was some visible mould in a corner on the ceiling of the double, and all the window frames had visible signs of mould. This really does need sorting. You can hear the passing traffic, but it was quiet at night and we slept well. The mattresses were firm, and the pillows rather flat. It is a great location, and the period features of the castle were great, especially for our child. The restaurant was especially welcoming and the staff very good. We had a lovely evening meal and could not fault the food. We played board games in front of fire. The cooked breakfast was generous and we ate this in a lovely conservatory area. The mushrooms were seriously over seasoned! I wouldn't hesitate to visit the restaurant again. I would stay again, but would want reassurance that the mould had been cleaned up/repainted.

Booked a room and table for Valentine's night. Arrived about 5pm, when the pub was not yet open, but the door was opened before we knocked and we were warmly welcomed. We had asked for a room with a bath, which we got (Room 3) The room was of modest size, but light & airy and spotlessly clean, with everything you need, and all in working order. The bathroom was especially large, with a nice bath/shower-over. Red-hot water and fluffy towels. We had a pre-dinner drink (or two) in the traditional bar with flagstone floor and a glowing stove. Some were eating in here, but we chose to go into the surprisingly large restaurant, which was fairly quiet at our chosen, quite late time of 8.30. There was a special Valentine's menu, plus the daily-changing table d'hote. We both had Tempura Prawns as a starter, which I followed with a Rump Steak, cooked to perfection, whilst my wife had Chicken Supreme. A bottle of Merlot went down well before we returned to the bar, which was, by then, quite busy with locals and had a friendly "Feel" Breakfast was also very good.

The Hilton brand is going downhill, and has lived in countless Hiltons from home and abroad. Every time you come to the United Kingdom, there is always a city that will arrange to stay in Hilton. Each time it ends in disappointment. 1, location, directly opposite the Scotsman Hotel, the spiral staircase next to the Scotsman Hotel can lead to the train station. If there is a large luggage, it is recommended to go out at Plantform Exit 1, there are lifts and escalators, and exit to the right Walk and turn right again for two hundred meters. A 10-minute walk from Royal mile, Edinburgh Castle, and Whisky Experience Center, these three are together! About 12 minutes walk from Calton Hill, which is different from the three attractions above 2. The housekeeping was just rubbish. On the first day of arrival, there was no mineral water in our two rooms, and the two rooms were not the same size. The one we lived in was very small. Shower gels and shampoos have obviously been used, but they have not been replaced! !! !! 3. The hotel design has serious problems. Please arrange a room for -3. We must first take the stairs to the second floor, then cross the other two third-level stairs, and then take the elevator down to -3. Rao's head is dizzy and the box Not easy to mention ~

A total of two rooms and four rooms were booked, and the overall performance in all aspects was very good. The layout of the rooms is reasonable, even the smallest classic room does not feel cramped. In particular, the bathroom has a separate dressing table and a large mirror, which is well received. The location is very good, Edinburgh's main attractions are within 15 minutes of walking (of course, Edinburgh attractions are already very concentrated). The public space is beautiful and elegant, and the service is warm and in place. The only minor problem was that when I checked out on the first trip, I was given a £103.5 bill, a £3.5 mini bar and a £100 reservation for the restaurant (we didn’t open the mini at all, nor booked it. Restaurant), after arguing for some reason, the front desk said that it might be wrong. Although the bill was cancelled, it was inevitable that it was unpleasant and destroyed the perfect experience of the whole stay.

The hotel is located in the old quarter of Edinburgh, "bread street", close to the castle and Princes Street Gardens, and the location is superb. The hotel's own buffet breakfast is not comparable to the domestic breakfast, but it is already very rich in the UK, you can also find a waiter to customize the fried egg and other dishes. The room is really small, if you are with two big boxes, it is estimated that it is difficult to spread both on the ground at the same time. In addition, the bathroom is really small. It is difficult for a Chinese who is not a burly to bathe in the bathroom or the wall. However, hotels in the UK are small rooms. Overall, it is still satisfactory, of course, don't compare it with the domestic Hilton, otherwise you will feel that you have gone wrong.

The hotel rooms are very nice, the retro feel and the design is very good. It is recommended to come to Edinburgh, you can try it. The service is also very good, the front desk staff are very warm and there is a grandfather wearing a Scottish skirt. Very enthusiastic and also voluntarily said that you can take a photo and take the initiative to take the box. It was raining when we stayed, and we went to the front desk and borrowed an umbrella~ Book in Ctrip in advance, just say your last name. Quick search~ When I booked, I just started to watch more than 1,000. The second time I saw it was more than 600, and the price rose very scary. The restaurant is also very nice, but there is nothing to eat in order to catch the trip. So if you have time, try it, but put apples and lemonade at the door~

Invincible location, the most lively Royal Mile, is a pedestrian street, full of buskers, acrobatics of the magic of singing the piano, the audience is surrounded by a circle of interaction, the atmosphere is very good. A little bit to the right is Edinburgh Castle. The car has a high level to the front desk, but the suitcase can be lifted. Then ask the front desk, he will give a map, there is a parking lot ten minutes walk, 22 pounds a day. Downstairs is free from 18:30 to 8:30 the next day. The room was clean and there was a kitchen washing machine. The only thing that is not good is that the pedestrian steps outside the window of the room require curtains to be pulled. We live in the capital house, and on the third day we change to a family room and a single apartment, which are located on the second and fifth floors. It may be better to have more than one layer of privacy. The first two are pictures of the family room, and the last two are the capital houses.

The location is very good, it is convenient for trains, airplanes, buses and nights without worrying about going back late or going out at any time. The only thing to pay attention to is to ask for several floors, usually the fourth floor is the first floor of the old town street. It is three floors that are close to the train station, and are ordered four floors or more. Recently, the bridge is under construction. I felt that the room was covered with things like blankets and gray. The decoration style is awesome, and it was changed from the previous Scottish newspaper industry. Like the bar downstairs, a cup of coffee is not too expensive every night, 6-7.5 fat. There is also the indifferent face in the front desk of the store. We are unhappy about changing sheets and checking out one hour late. One is insisting that if you stay for two nights, you will not change sheets. I knocked on the table and said that we want Stayed for three nights, the second is that the small blood stains that are not cleaned are not mine. The third is to change the sheets and the difference is important? The man who was stunned immediately closed his mouth. Check-out is generally 11 o'clock, most people are not mentally prepared at this time.

The building was formerly the National Bank of Scotland. The front desk is very welcoming. The boys helped me print the tickets for the next day. The girls helped us to store the luggage and the suite with the top floor. This time I booked a room of more than 1800/night. Although it was a duplex of two beds, it still felt a little smaller. The room has a kitchen but it has not been used. Edinburgh is a city with a lot of history. The ups and downs of the terrain and the architectural style of each era have indeed formed a unique beauty. The full moon night is bright and has a mysterious atmosphere. JK Rowling can write Harry Potter here and it is very understandable. Edinburgh's unique black and white tones are unforgettable.

Very friendly staff! The front staff who welcomed us on the day we checked in was extremely friendly and helpful, as was another staff who helped us in the evening to change to another room (the original room had a connecting door to the room next door where some people were having a rather lively party). At present, breakfast is brought to the room (see picture) and guests can select what they would like to have the day before. What we didn't enjoy too much while staying was that the hotel itself felt more like an office building and the room, although clean (apart from the cutlery in the kitchen), was not very cozy and quite cold. We would also like to suggest to allow guests to use the fire stairs as there is only one elevator. We had to wait quite a bit each time we needed to take the elevator (especially during covid times when only one household a time can use it). There's a rather big construction site next door so people who hope to sleep till late might want to ask for a room thats facing the other side.

Breakfast is average, there are more people on weekends, there are many restaurants near the hotel, if you are not in a hurry, you can consider going outside for breakfast. European hotel rooms are generally small in size and generally do not accept extra beds. Our family of three adults booked a triple room, a large double bed (seems to be 1.8m) and a normal double bed (should be 1.5m). The hotel is relatively new and nice. For tourists, the location of the hotel is very good. Although it is a short distance from the shopping street Prince Street, it is close to the most mile of Edinburgh Street and the famous Victory St. The Elephant Cafe in Kaka resort is not far away. The hotel faces the Edinburgh Castle. In front of it is a leisure square full of restaurants and bars. There will be an outdoor market on Saturday. There is a restaurant called “Mussel & Steak Bar” on the side of the square, which is very cost-effective, with fresh ingredients and good seasoning. It is one of the most delicious western-style cooking seafood I have ever enjoyed.
