This is a very basic hostel type accommodation with very few amenities but in a location that is hard to beat. Right next to the west peak in the same building as a temple with the trail going right through the building (under the reception/restaurant). The pictures are taken at sunset from the peak about 3 minutes from the hostel. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The hostel shares the public toilets in the building complex. If you are ok with very basic accommodations but are looking for location, this could be for you.

Great location, close to the sunrise terrace. Get up earlier than the sunset, because of the night hikers it can be more crowded than you would expect there. Toilets 100m outside the room, but the path is well illuminated. There is a restaurant in between, looks cheap but I haven't tried it. The building is huge, but the dorms are super small. Beds are confortable but bring ear plugs. Mobile data and phone reception are great on the mountain.

Hiking requires staying overnight at the North Peak. There are very few rooms in Huashan, so you must book in advance. Let's talk about the shortcomings. There is no water on the mountain. There is a washbasin of water in the room. You can drink it after boiling, but the water is a little light yellow. I have tested it and I didn't have diarrhea. If you want more water, you need to go to the check-in room and ask the big brother, but they won't give much, after all, water resources are scarce. The toilet is 1 minute down, which is quite indescribable. It is recommended to wear a mask. There must be a big pool blocking it. Try to go to bed early at night, because there will be dense night climbers gathering around the hotel at 2 a.m., they will scream and wake you up, and they will leave one after another after about 3 a.m.

One of the best hotel we’ve ever been to. Number one, they took us at the train station to the hotel for free. Number two, they explained us everything we needed to know for hiking the Hua Shan mountain and they even provided us with gloves to ‘escalate’ some steep parts without hurting our hands. Number three, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have a breathtaking view on the mountain. Number four, they prepared our breakfast at 6am and then dropped us off at the park entrance. By the way if you want to go to the mountain by cable car, the hotel is just 1min away by foot from the entrance. They have also dropped us off at the train station when we had to leave. Very professional and gentle staff. Strongly recommended !!!

I am a foreign guest and they are able to register me. Stayed one night in a Double bedroom with toilet. The room is clean and toilet is well equipped with good shampoo and shower gel. The hot water works fine in evening but there was no hot water in the morning. Some room located facing main road so if light sleeper it could be noisy but I was OK. Plenty of restaurants next door and a convenient store too. Bus to train station passes in front of hotel or ulyou can book a private car from hotel for RMB20.
