Over the phone, I booked a “Big Dance Weekend Package” that was to include 2 nights, tickets to all the dance events, 2 breakfasts and parking. After booking the package, the agent insisted that I needed to purchase 2 dance tickets for an extra $278 total. Even though I pointed out that the website stated that the tickets were included, she was insistent. Not wanting to miss out initially, I made the purchase. A few days later, I called back to again question the need for the tickets and a different agent confirmed that the 2 tickets were not needed and she submitted a credit card refund. After a week, no refund. I called back again and went through the same conversation. They confirmed that the refund had not been issued and they offered no explanation but did apologize. They again promised a refund but it took another week for the refund to actually show up. If I had not bothered to call them -twice- I would have been overcharged and they would have done nothing. Upon checkin, we got our 2 electronic keys and neither worked. Fortunately, a hotel employee happened to be in the hallway and he let us in. I walked back down, explained the issue and the attendant re-programmed the same keys. Result: no joy. I called down and they sent someone up with 2 brand new keys that finally worked. Why they didn’t just give me 2 brand new keys the first time is a mystery. At the breakfast buffet, in the waiting area to be seated, both tanks of coffee had run out. Instead of bringing 2 new tanks and replacing the empty ones, the staff chose to take the 2 empty tanks away, presumably to fill up, and left nothing for the guests. It took 20 minutes for the replacement tanks to arrive. How hard is it to replenish coffee in a customer-friendly way? These types of missteps are common at common hotels. GPI is not a common hotel. They should not be commanding premium prices for everyday performance. The hotel does offer a unique charm, atmosphere and experience that can be found in very few places. But the expectations they are setting are not always met.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from downtown Asheville and about 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge parkway. There are a lot of chain restaurants about 2 miles down Tunnel road. It is on a 5 lane road near several freeway ramps but I never had a problem making a left hand turn. Be advised you will need to drive everywhere there is nothing that is within walking distance. I asked for a room away from the highway on my preregistration. They gave me one in the back corner. It was very quiet. Never even heard the neighbors. The staff was professional and efficient. The property is well maintained. The room and everything else was clean. There are no elevators. There is a standard breakfast bar in the morning. They have make the pre-made omelets, biscuits, gravy and sausage patties for hot food. There is daily maid service. They did not always replace shampoo, coffee supplies, etc. but you can get them from the front desk if you ask. Pool was not yet open but they were working on it while I was there. Be advised it is in the front parking lot.

We stayed in 7 Hilton hotels over 2 weeks in April while traveling Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, ending up in Asheville, NC. And while all were nice, Asheville Homewood Suites was the best. The king suite was as big as my first condo! Everything was clean and working. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. The manager's special was dinner on Wed night, an extra bonus. Everyone was very helpful and I will look for Homewood Suites on further travels.

Standard Extended Stay of America room with a kitchenette. Priced higher than most other cities. But I didn't mind the higher prices and fees. The extremely nosy annoying night shift staffs was what bothered me the most and I would never ever return to this location because of them and their obnoxious nosy behaviors especially the 60 ish short, heavy build woman and her blonde hair friend. She watched me closely the second I drove and parked on the parking lot and continued watching me in my car as I was booking for a room online until I stepped out of the car into the lobby. She then opened the door and so pretentiously saying that one of head light was out and that she didn't want me to get pulled over because of it. I'm like and who are you ? She didn't tell me who she was or even if she was an employee. She continues glaring at me as I checked in with the front desk employee. She and her blonde hair friend continued watching me and rudely talked about me from the lobby where they sat the whole entire night, wow !!! Her blonde hair friend also watched me carefully removing my things and groceries as she was smoking outside the front door. Jesus Christ, they treated me as if I was a bad person stealing things from my own car!!! I never felt this horrible staying at any of the other Extended stay of America before. And I have stayed at tons of Extended stay of America after driving cross country all the way from California. These night shift employees were the worst I had ever seen or experienced. If This Extended stay of America in Asheville was the only hotel available next time I'm in Asheville then I'd rather sleep in my own car to save myself from another horrible experience with these employees. Breakfast is relatively simple, there is no hot food, there are a few fresh fruits, need to get back to the room to eat; the hotel is built on a hillside, more distinctive, but the facilities are old, no microwave oven, the door is opened with a key, not very easy to use. The room is large and hygienic.

My wife and I stayed at the Quality Inn Asheville Downtown Tunnel Road for three nights in April 2022. We stayed away from the actual downtown because of the cost of the lodging and the cost of parking. We found this Quality Inn in need of updating. It is actually an older two-level motel with room doors opening to a outdoor hall way. The parking is adequate, but space is tight in the rear of the Inn. The breakfast was okay, nothing fancy and lots of carbs. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean but in great need of updating. The door from the outdoors had gaps in it, so the cold air (it did snow one night while we were there!!) came freely into our room. We found the expense of the accommodation not worth it.

I picked this spot because of its location near the Biltmore Estate. If you are going there but dont want or need the cost of staying on The Estate it would be difficult to do better. Walkable to Biltmore Village as well, which is also a nice experience. It also has covered parking from which one can enter the Hotel at the pool level. Excellent option for bad weather or if you have things in your vehicle. The hotel is relatively new and the newer design is very comfortable. Comfortable beds, large showers. They do have a restaurant with a limited but good menu for breakfast (put it in your bill when you make your reservation) and it is also ope for dinner and drinks.

We stayed one night here. The room was clean and the floors were vinyl. I liked the vinyl floors, so much cleaner than carpet. The room was a suite with two double beds and a pull-out couch. The beds were comfy, although the pull-out bed was so so. The hotel was clean downstairs and the breakfast was good. They offered several different options for breakfast. I needed late check-out and they were able to accommodate me. Overall good stay. Stayed twice and would return.

I’m writing this review mainly because of the hospitality Ms. Toni showed me and my family , what a darling .. I met her during breakfast at the breakfast buffet , she was so sweet and helpful . She was working so hard keeping everything fresh and accommodating everyone . Ms Toni was the highlight of my entire trip, REAL southern hospitality , Ms Toni is you’re reading this , it’s Katie from New York who loved your accent and I’m definitely taking you up on that offer to make me some real southern biscuits and gravy one day 😉 . I would 100% stay at this hotel again just because of the hospitality !

recently stayed in the AC Hotel by Marriott...its relatively new, modern design, good tv, clean rooms and good shower but 2 of the 5 nights i stayed were an nightmare...8-12 people with loud mouths, running around the halls, slamming doors, yelling, loud music and the undeniable smell of burning hair...beginning about 9 pm i called the front desk and was told they'd "investigate" to see what the problem was...no positive results, noisemakers continued, incredibly loud and obnoxious people...i called front desk again, "manager is on that floor" i was told...at that very time when the manager was on the floor the noise continued, either the manager is deaf or is on the wrong floor...at that time i went to the front desk, it was about 11, manager told me there was nothing they could do to which i suggested they ask them to leave or perhaps they call the police...they would or could do neither...at that point i got another room in which to sleep that night...the next morning i moved to a quieter floor which is a pain when you have work to do that morning and time was of the essence...basically management did zero, seemed to be resigned to the fact these people could do whatever they wanted without any interruption...my daughter was on the same floor and she was kept up to 3 am, she too had to be at work about 8 and as you can imagine neither of us were likely to be at our best without a good nights sleep...considering the hotel is one of the more expensive ones in asheville you'd think they care about their guests and feel somewhat responsible for providing them with a comfortable stay, after all isn't that what 90% of those staying in hotels are looking for? i certainly won't be back to this property and i'd advise others that want to be undisturbed during their stay to do the same... don treadway

Needed an affordable hotel for a girls trip to the Biltmore. Usually stay at Hampton or Marriott decided to try Baymont. We had a great experience! Lobby was clean and the sitting area was inviting - saw 2 couples hanging out/talking and enjoying the area. Heated, clean indoor pool. Breakfast area was small but clean, serving a continental breakfast - eggs, variety of cereals, yogurt, string cheese, fruit, wrapped pastries, granola bars, bagels/bread, jellies, honey, peanut butter, coffee, juices, and milk. The room was clean and well ventilated - AC worked well, beds slept great, shower pressure and temp perfect. Because there were 3 of us ladies, having the sink out in the hall area was nice, so one could shower and another could be using the sink/mirror. Our room faced the road, so at times you could hear road noise - hence the 4 stars instead of 5 and nothing ear plugs wouldn’t solve. The view was nice, regardless. The hotel has easy in/out access, is next door to a gas station, within walking distance to a Starbucks, and 1/2 mile from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. Overall, a great stay and would recommend!

We LOVED our stay at this hotel - there are a hundred hotels to stay at in Asheville but I will not stay anywhere else after staying with them in early March. The hotel is in a great place to walk around, shop, restaurants, areas to sit on a bench and drink a coffee, etc. The staff could not have been more accommodating, welcoming and friendly. We had a group for our stay and the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful visit. Little secret perk - they have free coffee in their little snack shop area that is the best coffee! Most hotels are doing away with coffee stations, and it was really nice to have that option in the morning as we walked around the really pretty shopping area. *Parking - there is plenty of parking, and connected to the hotel. We parked out front & in the parking deck area which was really nice * Parking was convenient! Hotel is right off the highway, can see it and gas station at the turn off as well. Location (area around hotel) A+ Staff A+ Quality of rooms/beds/space A+

I can’t say enough about how great the customer service is here. The first night I stayed here, I needed to be near the ice machine to tend to a recently sprained ankle. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who checked me in. She went out of her way to be so kind and helpful to me, getting me a room right next to the ice machine and even giving me a couple extra plastic bags for the ice. As I was checking out on the second day, I needed to use the printer which wasn’t working right. Krutika, the woman who checked me out went out of her way for 15 minutes to make sure I had my copies. She could have just blown it off, but didn’t. Thank you both! The room was one of the cleanest of any Sleep Inn’s I’ve stayed at and very comfortable.

Missed flight with all the anxiety and messiness. Looked for a place, near the airport, with a free shuttle. Relatively new place with very friendly and helpful staff. They were at the airport in 10 minutes and picked us up. The entire hotel is very clean and well kept, including regular and thorough cleaning of the common areas. Our room was over-sized and very comfortable. The beds were great and sleep came easy. There was a small , well appointed kitchen with all appliances and dishes and up-dated bathroom. Considering Covid, even the continental breakfast was well done. Very nice place, good value, a pleasurably stay considering the circumstances.

The hotel is in a good location with plenty of restaurant choices in the immediate area. It's far enough away from the interstate and local roads that we did not hear any traffic noise. We prefer soft beds and these were soft enough but would have liked them a little softer. About a 7 out of 10 on the comfort scale - good enough but not great. Check in was easy and pleasant. We interacted with 3 different front desk folks and they were all very nice. They were glad to help in any way they could. The room and bathroom was large enough. When we were there, they were not servicing the rooms daily. I believe you could request it but we actually prefer not having anyone come in on short stays. They gladly provided additional towels which was all we needed. While the staff was great and the room was more than adequate, the breakfast was a total disappointment. I didn't think you could ruin waffles but there seemed to be something wrong with the batter as the waffles would fall apart and did not taste good. Also, it seems they watered down the "orange juice" because it tasted like orange flavored water. The individually wrapped muffins were okay but didn't taste fresh. There was one type of yogurt, boiled eggs and a few choices of cereal. The coffee in the room was decent but the coffee in the breakfast area was not good. They were using Covid as the reason for a limited breakfast but they still could have provided frozen/refrigerated breakfast sandwiches and better quality pastries, waffles, juice and coffee if they wanted to. Long story short, assume there is no breakfast available. If you need something to tide you over until you can get to a restaurant, you might find enough for that purpose but otherwise, just skip it. If we were back in the area, we would probably stay there again as the rooms were fine but we might try somewhere else that provided a real breakfast. If they aren't trying harder to have a good limited breakfast, I would think a larger breakfast would still be low quality.

Let me start by saying the hotel was clean with comfortable beds, however we really didn't get much sleep in our two nights at this property. We stayed in a room on the sixth floor facing the front of the hotel. I've never been concerned about my room placement at a hotel before, but this hotel made me rethink that. As you can see in the main picture of the hotel, they shine an obnoxiously bright green light at the front of the building at all hours. This wouldn't be an issue if the blinds in the room completely covered the windows, but that's not the case. The older hotel had pull style curtains that left about an inch gap from closing the window all the way. With as bright as this light is shining at the front of the building it kept the room illuminated green all night long. If it had been just myself traveling, fine I could handle it, however we were traveling with our toddler who is used to sleeping in a dark room. He had more trouble than ever trying to adjust and fall asleep, which left us all restless. If the green light isn't turned off over night this property needs to invest in proper shades that will actually block out the light from coming in the hotel. I would stay here again because the rate was appropriate and the hotel was clean and comfortable, but I would request a room on the backside of the property.

From the time we checked in until we departed at the end of our stay the customer service at the hotel was phenomenal! Lynn checked us in and went out of her way to upgrade us and make us welcome. The doorman we had at check-in, name was Daniel, went above and beyond to get our luggage to the fifth floor without a working elevator which was undergoing maintenance. The restaurant wait staff worked hard to accommodate us. Our bellman at check-out, Ryan, provided superlative service. The rooms, while a little dated, were very clean and the beds really comfortable. An enjoyable stay.

Was in the area for a wedding with my sister and we just needed a place to sleep. We settled on Brookstone because they had relatively good reviews at a more budget friendly rate than others nearby. We weren't disappointed - though there was nothing so great about the hotel that it really stuck out. We didn't use any of the amenities (didn't stay for breakfast or check out the pool), we really just slept here. But the room was clean, beds comfortable and the staff was friendly (though a bit too chatty). Also I did note the outside looks much fancier than the inside does lol
