First of all, the host is really friendly, he had instructions and printed maps for us, good recomandations for visitig sites. The room was very clean, the bathroom and common space the same. It was really easy for us to spend those few days there. The breakfast was also very good, and also a good size meal for a morning. You can't expect luxury but it's perfect for a city break, I definitely recommend it!SOLD OUT

It was one night stay while visiting to Trulli Alberobello and Sassi Matera. Excellent location near to Bari Centrale Train Station and the pick up and drop off point for FlixBus and Marozzi Bus service. Good facilities, but we were not so used to the spring bed. Upon check-in the front desk staff took initiative to guide us how to walk around the city since we were early for check-in. Hotel also provides free luggage storage for whole day before we took our night bus to Florence. We were hanging around the lobby before leaving the hotel near midnight when our bus depart to Florence. We were told about the €8 charge for “takeaway” breakfast initially even thought the booking comes with breakfast. Subsequently, another staff who was kind enough to arrange take away breakfast without charge, but it was not arranged properly. Hence, we had to pack the breakfast ourselves before rushing off for our super early schedule. Despite the small hiccup, we were still pleased with the stay and overall experience. FromUS$82.00

The place is really close to central station and an easy short walk so with you have bags this wont be a problem! Breakfast has all you need to start your day... simple but accord to the hotel costs It is a short and pleasant walk to old town and even being alone i felt safe to walk during late evening! The staff is friendly and helpfull! The have also a locker room in case you need to leave you lugagge to visit the amazing places near Bari such as Polignano a Mare, Alberobello and Matera ( those places are worth staying a night in case u have time) My room was single to had a single bed and it was small but had all i needed and it was clean and confortable!FromUS$74.00

The position is good, close to the central station. The hotel is in a very old building with lift. Check-in starts at 3pm, however they let us get the room in the morning because we didn't book it. The room is big, very old and noisy (there is a busy road the front). The bathroon like hospital (terrible) with smell of sewer. We've paid €50 to stay 4h30 only. Found this place last minute after our boiler blew up in our other accommodation. What a perfect find... very very affordable for what you get. Clean modern rooms, lovely breakfast... more than expected, quiet, great in room facilities... what you would see in a 4 star motel. Only stayed one night wish we had of stayed here the both nights in Bari. To check in we pressed the buzzer on the front door and were greeted by 2 lovely ladies then took the elevator up to level 8 were all the rooms are. FromUS$187.00

Ideally located just 5 minutes from Bari Central Railway Station and just 10 minutes walk to the old town. Rooms are on the second floor with lift access, although there are a few steps up to the lift. Our room was large, clean, modern and airy with a balcony on to Melo street. This is a small hotel of just 6 bed rooms and a communial room – breakfast room/reception room. We did not book the breakfast that I understand most people take to their rooms which was very basic, but were able to use the communial coffee and tea facilities. Its easy to buy breakfast out or buy supplies in – there is a supermarket 50 meters down the road. Our room was cleaned every other day. Check in and check out was efficient having been confirmed by email in advance. We were met on arrival by our English speaking host who provided information about the hotel and tourist information. This hotel was excellent for our stay.FromUS$80.00

Located on the top floor(there is an elevator but you have to walk up another flight of stairs) of a building, this small B&B offers wonderful personal service and a delightful rooftop terrace. It is an easy 10 min walk from the train station and 20-30 min walk to the historic old town. Our room was spacious, modern and immaculate with a superbly comfortable bed and pillows.. Our friendly hostess, Samanta was amazing and gave us a wealth of information about touring and restaurants. Loved La Cecchina restaurant and recommend highly.The breakafst buffet was varied and you could order eggs any style. We recommend highly and would certainly stay here again if in Bari.FromUS$91.00

We stayed here for 2 nights and we were not really satisfied about this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the reception told us that we were too early for check in and that we should have known this as it's written in the confirmation mail. But that was not the point, we knew we were early, but we were on a road trip in South Italy and wanted to leave the luggage already so we could discover Bari as much as we could. Then the reception told us we needed to come back after a few hours to check-in. While checking- in, the reception didn't inform us about the breakfast nor the facilities such as gym and spa. One positive thing, we requested a balcony, but apparently you need to pay extra for that, but we got it for free. Nevertheless, the service at the breakfast is really bad. Most of the staff didn't look happy/ service-oriented and are poor in English. Instead they were very rude on the last breakfast, as we have asked for a breakfast on the go (we needed to catch an early flight). One of the staff accused us of stealing silverware, as I was looking for disposable cutlery. The way she approached us was really misplaced. We have seen a lot of hotels, B&B's, hostels etc, from low-mid and high end, but we never had such a bad experience as this one. For a business trip this hotel is more appropriated, for couples who are on a romantic get away we would say just find something else. Unless you want to pay a lot for lack of service.
To end positive, the location is ok-ish, it's a 20min walk, so its sort of nearby. Furthermore the hotel is clean. The service needs really improvement based on our experience and the facilities are nice to have if you are informed about these. Also the swimming pool is quite nice, very relaxing.FromUS$75.00

The property is located on a reasonably quiet suburban street about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town .We were greeted by Elizabetta , who is a delightful host and speaks very good English . The property has secure off street car parking whi ch has a narrow entrance which is ok for a normal car but not say a large SUV . Our deluxe room was very comfortable and included a wonderful terrace that would happily seat 6 . The bed was very comfortable and the whole property was sparkling clean . Very good shower and we had a jaccuzi bath as well !! Break fast was excellent and for such a small property with maybe only 4 or so rooms offered a very wide choice . Beautifully presented by Elizabetta . It was a wonderful way to start our tour of Puglia .FromUS$130.00

We needed a place to stay in Bari for our first of 10 nights in Puglia, landing in late afternoon, wanting one day here before collecting a car and heading south the next day. Not knowing the city we vaguely picked a place not too far from the Centrals train station (12 min walk) and near the water, old town. Imbriani Guest House offered a good rate and fast communication. We booked. We were told to text when we had arrived at Centrale, which we did and sure enough when we got to the apartment building were met by Giuseppe who let us in, helped with luggage, explained the lobby door key, the room access code. All very efficient. The room we got is the smallest they have "Matty" but is nicely decorated, and while small had what we needed: good bedding, good bed. "View" is an inner courtyard of the building & not great but at this rate?!? More importantly the AC was perfect! The real wow was the bathroom - best shower in a while! And the building is a two block walk to the waterfront promenade, an easy walk to the historic center. They were even kind enough to let us leave luggage in the room past check out since they had other rooms booked but not ours for the day we left. Excellent value.FromUS$89.00

We loved staying at Zodiacus. It's halfway between the train station and the old town, so it's an ideal base when staying in Bari. We would eat dinner at 9 or 10 in old town and then walk back to the hotel... very easy, very pleasant. There are small cafes and bars all around the area... you won't see them on a Sunday afternoon, but the cafes will appear on Monday morning, and the bars on Monday evening. Yet the neighborhood still feels quiet and residential. It's a perfect blend. One evening we arrived back at the hotel around 11pm and Vito was standing outside, waiting for a guest to arrive... the train had been delayed, and he stuck around so he could check them in. That's some impressive service! Would definitely stay here again.FromUS$64.00

On first sight this is a modern, very comfortable hotel. Lovely lobby, great looking room with balcony overlooking the town. We had a room on the 10 th floor which gave a panoramic view all the way to the sea. So far so good. On the first night we had dinner at the restaurant. There is a reasonably priced buffet but we opted for a la cart which was very nice, with a lovely glad of local wine recommended by the waiter. The service was very good, just like in the rest of the hotel. It was clear that the staff at the restaurant, bar and reception do their best. Although the hotel is modern, it could do with some serious regular maintenance checks. On our room we were unable to pull the lever to operate the shower. Once the cleaner slowed us how it worked, we had to yank it so hard, we were afraid it would break. The bathroom tap was also very sticky. A serious design fault is the general mood lighting in both the room and bathroom. To the extent, that i had to look hard in the evening to see what and where was in the wardrobe. same in the bathroom. Although there is a lit magnifying mirror, it is so dim, I struggled to put make up on. We were taking part in a dance event, with about 400 participants. Once it started we discovered that the hotel could not cope catering for that number of people, which is surprising. We turned up for dinner and were told that unless we booked, no table wad available. No matter we thought, we will order room service, although not the most convenient solution. However they were unable to provide that either, as the kitchen could not cope. You could have a sandwich in the bar. As we were dancing during the day and night, we needed to eat at odd hours, but we were not catered for. The restaurant was open at set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it appears, the room service also only operated at those times. Not good enough for a hotel this size and price. On the positive side they have a courtesy coach to and from the airport, which is very convenient.

Stayed here 2 nights before a cruise, it was part of the package that we (mum, sister and her husband) had booked. We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport which was 25 euros. Convenient for us. Lovely buffet breakfast and the staff at reception helpful. Reception area comfortable. my room, which I shared with my mum ( who has mobility difficulties) was bright, fresh, laminate flooring and a good size, where as my sisters was dark, carpeted and had seen better days. Access to My room was not straight forward. Fortunately my mum is able to walk a little so was able to walk into the room. However I am not sure how we would have been able to manoeuvre the wheelchair into the room due to its shape. My bathroom, was clean and bright, however the shower cubicle was a tight squeeze and access to it difficult if you have mobility difficulties (step, small narrow door, no hand rails) No extra hooks to hang towels or clothing. The towel rail was behind the shower door which you would have to step out of, close and then take the towel. No soap dish or shelf to put toiletries in the shower, so you would have to step out to take them from off the sink. The shower hose was positioned too low (waist height) so you couldn’t stand under it, although there was a fixed head on the ceiling above ( wear a shower cap otherwise you get dripped on!). The location is good - close to the old town. There was a market on the way on Sunday. Some good restaurants nearby and a coop across the road for supplies. I am a little undecided about the hotel, if I was travelling with my husband and had this room I would be ok and not too fussed about the small inconveniences. However travelling with my mum, this room was not suitable. It is difficult to know if this was an oversight by the company who I booked with (I suspect it is the company as I changed my second hotel where we were allocated shared facilities) or the hotel does not have appropriate facilities/booked out. Either way the bathroom/ shower facilities was difficult for my mum to use comfortably.

The hotel is relatively new and modern. Breakfast was excellent with a very good selection of foods offered in a bright and open dining room. Staff was generally helpful. It has some drawbacks. It is very far from the historic center and cabs are not easily obtained. Cab fare to city center ranged from 13 to 25 euros. There are very few restaurants nearby and the hotel does not offer lunch. The rooms are modern but not particularly well designed. Showers are separated from the bedroom by a clear or frosted glass wall, leaving very little privacy for shower users. The bathroom door could not be closed. A permanently affixed doorstop prevented my bathroom door from closing, leaving a two inch opening. Worse than the privacy issues, both rooms that we rented had a terrible odor that we could not eliminate for the duration of our stay. On the positive side, the bed was clean and comfortable and the A/C worked well.

This hotel is in a really good location – within easy walking distance of the old town. Parking is available in the hotel basement, at a cost of €20 per night. The décor is very old-fashioned. Our bedrooms were clean but a bit too hot and stuffy; however, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really just average (including the coffee, which was surprisingly very poor) … but I suspect they were short of staff on the morning we were there – as they were really struggling to clear the tables and replenish food. We would have liked a nightcap when we returned from dinner but there was no proper bar downstairs. Overall, I would say this is more a 3* rather than a 4* hotel.
