We stayed here 4 nights with our grandchildren ages 7 and 10. Because of its ideal location, we never moved our car until it was time to go home. The young men manning the front desk were all very pleasant, helpful, and friendly. Someone desperately needs to update their website because it indicates breakfast but there is no breakfast since COVID started. No problem....we walked to Pancake Pantry and ate breakfast there, which was excellent. Our room was clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for a small table and chairs, which I hope they plan on adding. When traveling with children, we play board games and sometimes need to eat something in the room. Table and chairs make that easier. The balcony was a nice touch.

Me and my friend stayed here for a super short girls trip. We didn’t get to the hotel to check in until Midnight Friday. Clerks at the front desk were nice and got us checked in quickly. Parking was a nightmare.. we couldn’t find one open spot so we just parked along the hillside in the parking lot. However the next morning parking was available everywhere and we were able to snag the spot right next to the elevator. Our room was nice and clean, however the lighting is terrible. Only one overhead light by the window which wasn’t bright at all.. two wall lights next the beds were bright, but one was broken. The beds were super comfy and the TV was a decent size. The sink vanity area by the bathroom was very nice & bright with lots of counter space. The bathtub was small and the shower wasn’t the best, but it worked and the water was hot. The only complaint I really could have is the curtains.. they aren’t directly against the window so there is a gap close to the door and people walking by could look into your room.. I personally just fixed this by tucking the curtain into the door. Ha. Overall the hotel is nice for the price you pay per night. Being in a very popular destination spot .. the rooms definitely get lot of use, therefore are going to show some wear and tear. I have stayed in very high end hotels and I have stayed in some sketchy ones, this one I would say is middle ground. I seen on previous posts about road noise .. I didn’t hear anything outside our room. The best part of the hotel is the LOCATION.. The location is perfection and one of the main reasons we stayed here .. You can honestly just park your car upon arrival and just walk everywhere! Your a block away from Blake Sheltons Old Red restaurant, a couple blocks from the Aquarium, Anakeesta, the village and the main drag where all the shops, wine tasting, moonshine distillery’s are, along with all the fun things to see and do. If your looking for a hotel that isn’t going to break the bank, offer a safe and great location this is the one for you!!

This was our 2nd time staying at this resort in Gatlinburg. The first time was in 2018 shortly after they opened and we were so impressed with the experience that when we went back this May, we made our reservations at Margaritaville Resort again. Check in was a little challenge due to a language difference with the clerk. English was not the clerk's first language. But, with a little patience, we got checked in and quickly got settled into our room. Our room was on the 5th floor, front side, and it was spacious and quiet. After 4 years, I expected to see some wear and tear - I couldn't find any, it looked brand new! In fact, the resort was that way throughout. The bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was amazing! The location for the resort is slightly set back from the parkway (i.e. traffic congestion/noise) and the location is immediately adjacent to the Ripley's Aquarium (we finally visited it on a rainy day). Driving wise, its situated maybe 10 minutes from the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park which was the reason for our visit (i.e. hiking). The outside pool was open, very clean, and very enjoyable after a long day of hiking. The deck, water, and chairs were very clean. Staff regularly checked-in to see if we needed anything. We ate breakfast each morning at the inside restaurant/cafe. The food was tasty, ample, and served quickly. The wait staff once again presented us with a slight language challenge, English not being their first language. We learned it was easier to just say "hello" and point to the what we wanted on the menu at the counter. After doing this for a week, we got to know each other and it was a very pleasant experience. We have traveled to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park multiple times. After staying here twice, we would never stay anywhere else. While more expansive than other nearby hotels, this place is definitely a 5 star place!

My husband and I stopped in Gatlinburg twice on the way down and back on a road trip to NOLA, and we specifically chose this hotel because it’s next door to our favorite restaurant (Howard’s- don’t skip this!) We were a little wary about the negative reviews, but we decided to press forward with our plan. The staff at check-in and check-out were all very friendly and efficient, no issues whatsoever. The property is large, and our room for both stays were in the Hilltop location. It is a very large hill to access, and it’s definitely a workout if you walk it. The building is definitely not fancy, it’s outdated, and the elevator is a little sketchy and old. The rooms were also outdated and worn. HOWEVER, our room was actually very clean. It didn’t have any weird smells like a lot of reviews said. The bathroom was very small, but even the exhaust fan was clean (something I feel is easy to overlook). The bed sheets were also a bit worn, but clean. The only small complaint I have is that the towels were pretty terrible and scratchy, if we were staying more than one night I might consider bringing my own. Overall it’s not terrible, we would stay here again, and I feel it’s worth the cost for the central location alone. If you’re looking for modern and fancy, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a quick, comfortable stay with a great location in town, you’ll get it here.

We booked one night at Country Inn & Suites before checking into our cabin the next day. I am a room snob and wanted something right in the middle of Gatlinburg that was modern and clean. This hotel definitely fit the bill. Also, this hotel has rooms that sleep 6! We needed 3 beds and they had a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa and it was not much more than a standard room. The parking is free, the staff is very friendly everywhere, the rooms are spacious, modern, and clean, they feel like brand new. The bedding is comfortable and the furniture is very nice. The breakfast was hot and fresh and they kept it well stocked. It included eggs, sausage, chicken, muffins, cereal, and even fresh waffle stations with chocolate chips. There was apple, orange, and cranberry juice as well as coffee, although the coffee was very strong. Breakfast does wrap up at 9:30am though, so get there early! The location was just a block from the center of the parkway, entering right at Ripley's Believe it or Not. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We have a cat that just started medication and need a pet friendly hotel for our already planned trip so we can keep him on it. We chose this Quality Inn based on reviews. Glad we did. The room had some scars from being older. But, staying in many hotels in this town, this is nothing out of the ordinary. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the pillows were very comfortable. We brought our own pillows just in case and did not really need them as the hotel pillows were just as good as ours. TV was modern and plenty of cable channels (we didn't watch much). The breakfast was the first hot breakfast we have run across since the beginning of 2020. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Then the usual cereal, milk, juice, yogurt etc. The dining area is empty so you must take the food back to your room. But that is what we have always done, anyway. Location was not too bad. It is about .3 miles from the main strip, so there is a bit of a walk. If you are willing to wait for it, the trolly has a stop about a block in front of the hotel. We chose to walk. We will definitely be staying here, even without the cats.

The Chalet Inn is ion desperate need of a renovation and if not possible, demolition. Like MinMichigan, we too are not "travel snobs" but the Chalet Inn really needs help. The room was clean but the furniture looked like it was picked up at a thrift store. Our TV never worked properly and although the maintenance man came right away, they never fixed the issue. The walls are paper thin so know that you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you including at 5:45 am when workers started working upstairs from us. Sadly, the grounds are littered and it is clear no one is really minding the store.

This hotel has a lot of potential. We are priority BW folks and chose here. Unfortunately, there is nothing on the website that tells you this place is under a huge remodel. There is a crew here remodeling. Our first evening, they were sawing the old showers into pieces with a Saws-All. It was deafening, until after 6 pm. The Front desk did well to place us far away from the work, but then we were up against the elevator that literally rattled the entire room when used. We could not use this room to relax. I only saw housekeeping here once during our stay. We had to re-clean our room, as it appears nobody did a deep clean after our room was remodeled, there was work dust everywhere. Someone boiled over a Latte in the microwave, and we had to clean that as well. Here are my thoughts: If you are going to use this room to explore by day, come back late in the eve, then this might work. We were on a multi-week trek across TN, so we needed some recovery time. This is not the place. Also the breakfast worked, but in my experience with BW hotels w/ breakfast, there is a rotation of items. Not here - same scrambled eggs and sausage every day. I hope my review is helpful, it's not intended to slam this place, as there were some positives - Front Desk and staff were nice and accommodating, because we needed to leave a day early. The location works too. There were families here that seemed to enjoy this, so maybe it will work for you.......

The location was great within walking distance to a lot of attractions. We didn’t have to worry about paying for parking. Had an elevator or get up to the rooms. Breakfast was a grab and go would been better if more of a selection. Room was clean would have liked to have microwave in room. Air worked and heat, water in shower was hot. Hotel could use some updating.

The staff was friendly and the shower had good water pressure. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but worked. The room was clean. However the breakfast for the price of the room was horrible. The breakfast at this hotel is far worse than any hotels like it in the area. Breakfast consisted off already heated breakfast sandwiches, some questionable eggs. Then some days of our stay the juice machine and the fresh oatmeal machine was “Out of Order”. Besides the bad breakfast every other part of the stay was good.

The room is kind of small and dated. Shower water pressure is very low. Had to stay in shower about twice as long as usual to wash and rinse. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is real good. Just don’t sit on bench or chair along back wall, you will sink way down, and find it hard to eat. They were doing construction on the roof while we were there. Load and annoying, but that was ok, it needs to be done.

I really wanted to like this hotel because it’s in a good location and the room is huge, unfortunately that’s where it ends. We pulled the covers back and it looked like blood on the sheet. Went down to tell the gentleman at the front desk and he said housekeeping isn’t even here in the evenings. However it did get changed so I’m assuming he came up and changed it himself. Then we look at the comforter and it’s dirty. The beds are hard as a rock and the pillows are tiny. We have been here 3 nights and I haven’t seen any housekeeping staff. The carpets are filthy, there’s 1 elevator and the wait is ridiculous on the weekends. The rooms are very noisy, u can hear everything in the hall and outside. I ended up stuffing towels under the door to help a little but didn’t help enough. Breakfast is a joke. There are eggs, but I’m not sure what kind they are. I watched the lady pour them out of a bag and literally cut them like brownies. Then there were sausage links, and make your own waffles. The bathroom looked clean so I will give them that, however I’m 5’7 and the shower head hit me about my neck, I literally had to bend over to wash my hair. I will say that everyone working here seems nice and they try to accommodate you, but personally I can’t get past how dirty it is.

The service was great! After checking in Ginger sent a text to ask if everything was good with the room. We had a light out in the bathroom and it was fixed the next morning. The only other thing is the water pressure was low and the heat didn't shut off after it got to the temperature we had it set on it just ran all night and it was so hot even when we turned it all the way down. We couldn't sleep it was so hot! We just cut it off at night and we stayed comfortable all night. Other than that it was a fare stay.
