I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel. I paid $63.00 for one night, which was a steal! The hotel staff was great, they helped me find parking by phone before I arrived in Comiso, which was ridiculous because of a weekend festival. Check in was easy, the rooms were large even for western standards and comfortable. Everything in the room appeared newer or recently renovated. The bathroom was great. The wifi worked and the rooms were quiet. We weren't able to stay for breakfast because we had an early flight the next morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel/B&B to others and would stay here again if I am ever back in Comiso.

Hotel located in the historic centre of Comiso. Our family of 4 were given "The Engineer" room located on the top floor of this beautiful 18th century palace. Our "room", the size of a small 1 bedroom apartment, consisted of a large bedroom, an entrance area and an even larger bathroom with adjoining terrace. Views from the terrace gave spectacular views of the square below. Excellent and very attentive all of the hotel staff we met. My rating of 4.5 rather than 5 stars is for the bathroom. Beatifiul but not really functional as it was too large and incredibly dark (there were only 2-3 lamps to light an area of circa 20-30 sqm). However, I'm sure the spa once built will make this the best suite in the entire hotel. Beware if leaving your car parked overnight in the streets adjacent to the hotel as you will get a parking ticket. Thankfully our fine was only €2.50, but even still!

The man on the check-in counter doesn't speak English, with our little Italian we understand him. We arrived late at night, and luckily they still served food in the restaurant. So after we settle down to our room, we went next door to the restaurant. A young man helps inside doesn't speak English either. We were like practicing our Italian that night. It's cheap food; we only paid 35 euros for two with wines included. It was not very clear; we only order the pasta, but in the price, it was a two-course meal. They serve the pasta as the first course - after that was the salad and meat. It was too much for the price. However, the room was another story. We have a sizeable basic room with a baby crib. I thought they were mistaken, but I don't think so. There weren't many people staying that night. The bathroom is dirty, and the showerhead needs replacement — moreover, no spray holder. It is not a very pleasant hotel to stay in; I choose this place as it was right on the main road, which was easy to find, especially driving at night. By the way, they have free wifi with good reception. Breakfast serves in the hotel lobby, a self-service, but it was a joke, what they have: juices that bottle was half empty, hard toast with jam, and wrapped bread.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casato Licitra. It was easy to find and was a perfect base for exploring all of the beautiful historic towns and cities in this part of Sicily. Casato Licitra is a working dairy farm and in addition to their cows they keep a few pigs, sheep, horses and a donkey as well. All of the livestock and animals are looked after very well and it was nice to be able to wander around the farm and stables. Their restaurant was very good - good service and a menu serving lots of local dishes that were very tasty. We hired a couple of horses for a half day ride - good horses able to tackle the terrain which is extremely stoney. We made full use of the pool which is a good size. If you like staying in countryside and farm locations then this is the place for you

I've spent a couple of days at this resort which is in a very quiet and relaxing location! There is a swimming pool with music and a small Kiosk where to buy refreshing drinks and icecreams. I loved being there with my family and kids. The pizza was the best i've had during my short stay in sicily, the other dishes were tasty and fresh. i would suggest this place for those who like to get away from the busyiness of the city.

Stayed here for 2 nights and ate at the €45 dinner the first night. The food is tasty, small portions. The hotel itself is very clean and Carlo the director is extremely welcoming and helpful. That being said, don’t expect even a few small conveniences... such as towel bars. I believe our room was still under construction, as the floor was not tiled, cold cement throughout, and the bath, although somewhat spacious, had no towel bars or a shelf. We were provided with one very small 4” bottle of shampoo and one small lotion. No soap for the shower or bidet soap, and no bidet towels. We began to draped wet towels over the chair in the bedroom since there was no where else to hang them. The bath in our room had updated fixtures, but was very dark with only one light hanging from the wall. A bottle of water is provided in the room. Parking is limited, with cars parking every-which-way on grass, etc. Breakfast is served individually with tasty cappuccino. Chef Luigi heads a very nice cooking class (€40). The chef is constantly interrupted by guests asking for water, drinks, food etc. I don’t see how he has any time to cook meals with so many interruptions, but he was always patient. The property is quiet, albeit for swarms of flies that seem to be a constant. The pool is another matter. It is downright dangerous and I can’t believe no one has injured themselves getting in or out! . No handrails. The “steps” to enter the pool consist of 2 algae covered rough boulders. Entering isn’t nearly as bad as trying to get out of the pool! To exit, you must hoist yourself over the rocks and basically flop onto the grassy edge. Even the younger guests were baffled as to how to exit the pool gracefully and without injury or making a spectacle. Lack of safety was definitely a topic of guests around the pool. As for WiFi, It is non existent , save for the lobby, which forces you to conduct business in front of guests coming in and out. We were told WiFi was off due to weather, but I am highly skeptical the WiFi ever works in any room other than the lobby. If that is the case, so be it, and it is certainly understandable considering the age of the building, but management should be truthful on the website. The room has no tv. I give the employees 5 stars, but the owner needs to address some major flaws in the hotel that could remedied without compromising the ambiance of the structure.
