Luxor
|0.48km from city centerFor an authentic experience, leave the modern hotels behind and enjoy the charm of an Ottoman-styled, private house with rich brocades and oriental furnishings. Modern plumbing and a/c, fridge, kettle and sink keep one in the 21st century (CE!). Manager Amr is a great chef and attentive to culinary tastes. Enjoy the roof deck in the cooler months. Mara and Amr arranged great tours for me. All must be paid for up front and in cash. Bring lots! I had a great stay in Mara House.

Luxor
|0.85km from city centerWe had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Food was excellent and reasonably priced, my children especially enjoyed the food. Service in the hotel was excellent with welcoming staff, good response times and what felt like personalised service from several staff members.
We came to Luxor to see the historical sites and the location is well suited for these,. The hotel has a great view across the Nile..... our first morning we woke up to see the hot air ballons flying high above the West Bank.... beautiful.Transportation to these sites was really well organised and realistically priced, I thoroughly recommend the in hotel transportation service. A special mention goes to Clara who not only was very knowledgeable about all the trips but also went out of her way to ensure that if there were any issues with your arranged trip, she would do everything she could to resolve them satisfactorily and keep you readily informed.
No negatives observed in our 4 night stay.

Luxor
|0.94km from city centerThe Iberotel Luxor is in an excellent location overlooking the Nile (and 15 minutes from the train/bus station). Am so happy I chose to stay here. The Nile facing room is well worth the slightly higher price. My room was a good size with a fridge, lots of closet space, two arm chairs and a table. Only minus was that the sockets are oddly far from the bed. The balcony is great for sitting in the evening or at night or whenever it's not hot. It's quiet though the outside bar was playing a soccer game. Otherwise, no noise at night. Also no wifi issues anywhere in the hotel. The bathroom is functional but could use a bit of updating. The morning breakfast buffet had everything (breads, omelet bar, fruits, veggies, jams, cheese, meats, yogurts, dips, sweets, juices) and I went back for seconds and thirds every day. The pool area is lovely and right next to the Nile. Plenty of chairs and you can order from the cafe or just nap. All the staff from the waiters to the manager are nice and helpful. I walked to the sights, shopping and restaurants but obviously there are taxis and horses waiting outside. I was very happy, stayed an extra night and would absolutely recommend.

Luxor
|1.79km from city centerI liked the hotel. Everything is fine in the room. Except that there is no TV remote control, but if you asked, they would give it to you. The refrigerator is steaming like it was stung, the water froze overnight)) when leaving the hotel, immediately to the left is the Alley of Sphinxes. Turn left again through the intersection to the Catholic Church, after a 10-minute walk, Luxor Temple. All this time you go to the parking lot of horse-drawn carts))) to the right 10 minutes by car to the Karnak Temple, but by car you will still go through the Luxor Temple, it’s more convenient to go around the Sphinxes. If you go right from the hotel, take 100 steps and shops, local cafes and restaurants begin at the intersection. At 12 at night, many are still working, you can buy water and a snack. Wine and vodka is also open there in one of the alleys until 12, if you want something stronger than beer. There are at least two exchangers on the street in the direction of the Luxor Temple along the horses and sphinxes. I have attached all the photos. By the way, don’t be scared by the view of downtown. The second night here I walked in dark alleys, I never got stopped)) in general there is a feeling of safety, taking into account the specifics)))

Luxor
|1.97km from city centerPleasantly surprised by this hotel, for this price you get a lot: big well appointed rooms, balcony with sunset Nile view, coffee/tea maker, fridge, safe, good airco etc. Staff are super friendly and helpful, led by the guest relations officer Gigi. Biggest plus was the new gym and spa, where professor Ashraf and his helper Mustafa give you incredible treatments for even more incredible prices. Respectful and professional, they come highly recommended!! Ok,decor a little dated but refurbishment is under way. Wifi needs an upgrade though..

|0.61km from city centerWe had an excellent time here with my friends! Happy was so nice and drove us around Luxor on his bike, which was alone a great experience. Plus, the food is copious and really good, the staff is welcoming and helped us get taxis and ferries for very low prices. We also had the chance to see Happy’s new hotel in West Bank, Peace and Freedom Guest House Hotel; it’s a great place with a beautiful view and big rooms. I highly recommend!

|1.3km from city centerOne of the best hotels in which I have stayed. It was overall an amazing experience. First, professional staff and very friendly, from reception to restaurant and room service, all was amazing. The room was clean and fully equipped with everything that a guest might need. When faced with a problem they quickly try to solve it. Also they were very trust worthy. I happened to lose my sunglasses and they kept them safe for me to pick them up. The view from the nile side was stunning, I strongly recommend picking a room with that view, it’s totally worth the additional fee. The breakfast was also delicious with variety of choices and so was the dinner. This stay is totally worth 5 stars

|1.61km from city centerGreat 24/7 service. We booked a room for 2 with our own bathroom, fridge, AC, seperate beds and a tv. On the roof there was a restaurant with a great view over the Nile with the desert and sunset in the back. They also server breakfast there wich is an open buffet. The buffet is not that big but there is enough to eat properly. Overall would defenitly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a nice and affordable place to stay in luxor.

Luxor
|0.91km from city centerWe arrived at midnight for a one night stay and left in the morning to see the temples. Good location. Friendly staff. My only suggestion would be to provide better directions to find the 6th floor as the elevator stops on the 5th, and there was no signage to direct us towards our room. It was confusing and took longer than expected to find where we needed to go even with directions from the front staff.

|5.1km from city centerThe entrance location of the Karnake Temple is about the middle of the temple on the road from Luxor Temple. The navigation is not possible. The free travel is paid attention to and a large circle is circled. All temple hotels can report small groups with cars and it is convenient.

Luxor
|1.08km from city centerThe Old Winter Palace is the grand old dame of Luxor. The hotel is extremely atmospheric. However, it needs to be clearly said that an upgrade of the rooms will soon be needed. However, this did not impact my general impression of the hotel. I had a classic room on the third floor, with Nile view. The room had a balcony, which was brilliant. The hotel staff are all extremely kind and helpful. The restaurants (I tried the 1886, the La Corniche, as well as the pool-side restaurant) were all very good, and the service was excellent. breakfast in la corniche was good. What I would suggest here would be to open the windows for some fresh air - and possibly even considering an the construction of an outside terrace. Variety of food and quality of food was great. Coffee was served in a French coffee press. - It feels hard to describe the hotel - it just felt ”right”. I would defnitely stay there again, and will recommend to others.

|0.85km from city centerWe stayed at this hotel for one night after our Nile Cruise. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We found the hotel did not seem very busy. Our dinner and breakfast were included and there was only one other person eating in the dining room with us. We had to pick our meal prior to dinner. We think it was because the hotel wasn’t busy enough to have a buffet. The breakfast was a buffet and there was sufficient selection. It was pretty good. The pool area was awesome and the pool was very refreshing. Everything was very clean and neat. Our room had a little balcony that we used to dry our clothes and also to sit and watch the sunset. It was about a 20 minute walk downtown to the Luxor Temple. All in all we found this hotel to be very nice.

Luxor
|2.28km from city centerLocated on the quieter West Bank, the hotel (more of a large guest house) is bang in the middle of a village of locals and gives this place a really authentic feel. The locals in the town centre can harass you extensively, but those in the neighbourhood just want to say hello or get on with their day. I haven't always felt safe in Egypt travelling solo, but here I feel completely at home! Every single member of staff is fantastic. Not all of them speak much English, but they'd do anything to make your stay more comfortable. At least three of the staff speak English well: The owner, Mahmoud, usually hangs around the hotel but also lives locally and treats his guests like family. Ahmed will always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome and Talab is a perfect gentleman who will drive you wherever you need to go. The rooms are divided into three blocks, which have been added at different times. Block one has the best rustic feel. My shower wasn't working properly and Mahmoud proposed a number of solutions. Eventually, I moved to a room in the newer block. Most rooms overlook a beautiful green courtyard with exposed and shaded outdoor seating and a pool. There is also a restaurant on site with indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is reasonably priced, tours can be organised in house, and there's a little shop around the corner for things like bottled water staffed by a couple of lovely ladies who speak no English but will not rip you off. Note, there is a mosque nearby which can be quite loud when announcing the call to prayer and that may not be to everyone's taste. Personally, I feel it adds to the charm and it hasn't yet woken me up at night. Access to the populated East Bank and museums is via a ferry that is a 10 minute walk away and costs just 10 EGP per way. Solo traveller, 34

|1.07km from city centerGreat experience it‘s nice stay because you see the flamingo and the nice Garden good to stay with together.
Price is affordable, and convenient to visit luxor temple and market nearby.
however the hotel is tricky about price, you need to pay by person, instead of pay by room. It cost you extra charge for stay more than one person, and the receipt shows below cannot identify which item was charged for.

|5.09km from city centerWe agreed to check in at 2pm, but we had to wait for an hour for a room, and the originally designated room was no longer available.
The hotel environment is still very good. The sunset over the Nile River is very beautiful. You can also see the hot air balloons on the other side in the morning. The several swimming pools are also good.
