Breakfast is very rich, can not be extra bed, depending on the type of apartment you book, suitable for children, the hotel location is very good and quiet, the key is that the hotel's own meal is delicious, tender beef with tuna sauce left me Impressed, it is one of the best beef to eat in Europe, very distinctive. Very suitable for a family weekend holiday, do not come this summer, the Italians themselves have to vacation, the hotel is full, spring and autumn are best, cheap and good, not far from the children's playground and the lake, drive to see at night The sunset is beautiful. The swimming pool is large, especially indoors, giving you the feeling of returning to the Roman era, the sauna fitness bar is also available, and is also suitable for weddings and ceremonies. Needless to say, the countryside is simple, on call, there are no urban flowers and intestines.
Excellent hotel! All super nice & helpful. It started already at entrance. Good welcome at the reception and immediately possible to use the room. During our stay we were provided with tips for the surrounding area and we were called to restaurants for booking. Our refrigeration elements were allowed to be in the freezer every evening what was nice for the next day. The room was close to the room with 4 people including 2 pubs but we used the room to just shower and sleep for us. Every morning the room was cleaned, beds were made, new towels were equipped, etc, great compliment! Very carefully and clean. Breakfast was a party for our children every morning. Croissants, fresh fruit, milk, bread, etc, excellent breakfast. My husband received coffee every morning before breakfast because he was often awake early, good service. What a lovely, careful ladies of staff at breakfast. And so kind and lovely toward the children. Nice San Pietro village in Cariano. Aside from the hotel is Mamamadore, a pleasant lunch room where you can also eat a nice Italian ice cream. There is also a shop that we call ”Action” in the Netherlands. A lot of different things to sell. We have been to Canevaworld & Movieland, super fun! Monte Baldo & Lago di Tenno is also a recommender! If we are near in the future we will certainly come back to Hotel Valpolicella!! Thank you for the good concerns, we have enjoyed in the Hotel and the surroundings!
Back at Lake garda! From the beginning we knew that the only place to stay is back with Martina and Claudio! The most professional and welcoming managers we have meet! Even in busy season nothing was ro much for them! Every day they were happier and more helpful! It was such a great pleasure to meet them again and see how the business is blossoming! I must mention that we have planned to come back again next year and yes you guessed right we are coming back here! Thank you again Martina and Claudio!

Beautiful hotel between Verona and Lago di Garda. We booked a junior suite in the tower building, just across the main building. The reason I’m giving it four stars is because for this price category I expected more. If we had paid less, then it would’ve been five stars but I guess we stayed at the height of summer so prices are incredibly high. My first impression was wow, what an amazing drive up. Fortunately we decided to leave our suitcases by the main staircase bc our room wasn’t in the main building. While checking in, I got bitten 5 times by mosquitoes. Then at their Michelin restaurant, I got bitten a few more times during dinner. I feel like the hotel should do more for mosquito control. During our dinner, I asked for the wine card when we sat down and I think the sommelier finally came with the menu after I had my first course. We had a pre amuse bouche and amuse bouche already by then. I finished my wine and she didn’t ask if I wanted a refill. I found it very unprofessional on that part. Also at breakfast, there are lots of servers, all friendly, but it takes forever to order your tea or coffee. The pool is amazing. During check out I told them about room for improvement and they seemed shocked that I actually had a complaint. I guess no one complains here but waiting 30 min for a wine menu seems quite unreasonable, especially in Italy.

Excellent and impressive care and service of the concierges. But I had a small room, Room and bathroom very Spartan. The bathroom had only 2 bottles of soap.gel/shampoo. Everything was clean. Excellent breakfast.
The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. Our room was quite spacious, clean, TV with sky, comfortable bed but they should change the coats, high and hard, uncomfortable to sleep. Good breakfast, with very good products and served according to the anti-Covid rules. I would like the camel requested in the evening (in half the tea) had been offered as often happened in other hotels, but we were counted, 2. I said I would come back to Verona. Probably price of the room a little higher but much lower than the average of the hotels in Verona
Stayed 4 nights. 10 minutes to walk to the station where we easily got trains to Padua and Venice, and the airport bus. We booked a superior room, but I couldn't see anything superior about it. Very clean with a good bathroom, but plain and basic. Quiet room, but you can hear the traffic with the window open. Its not on a scenic road or in a particularly nice area, its on a busy main road, but it seems safe and area isn't run down. There's no restaurants in the area. Its a 20 minute walk to the centre, but there are cafes on the way. I probably wouldn't stay again just because its out of the way. Breakfast wasn't too bad and the lady serving was happy and friendly. Reception staff nice too.
The hotel's rooms are clean and tidy, the layout is very characteristic, the bathroom is large, and disposable toothbrushes and slippers are provided. The service of the hotel is very good, especially the duty manager of the front desk gentleman, patient and kind. The location is particularly good, in the heart of Verona, walking to the Juliet House for 3 minutes. The breakfast is very rich, cappuccino, homemade raspberry yoghurt is especially delicious, all kinds of bread dessert, salad and fruit, salmon, roast beef tastes very good. I will stay at this hotel next time.
Positioned just a 2 minute walk from Piazza Bra you we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We were meant to stay at Hotel Marco Polo back in April 2020 for my wife's Birthday, however due to obvious reasons we were forced to cancel. The hotel generously honoured our pre paid break, extending our travel voucher 3 times before we finally managed to make plans to visit. Our outbound flight was delayed so we had to check in at Hotel Mastino, a sister hotel which is less that 100 yards around the corner. The gentleman on reception was expecting us and we were in our room within 5 minutes. Our room wa, light and airy with beautiful high beamed ceiling decorated in a modern yet typically Italian style. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet in the mornings was just what was needed to set you up for lots of walking around this beautiful city. When we return to Verona in the future I have no doubt we will try to stay at Hotel Marco Polo again.
We stayed for two days and we felt like home! The receptionist was very polite and very helpful. She provided us with a map and marked all the sightseeings we had to see during our staying!!! She also recommended to buy breakfast from Aldi store, which was about 100-200 meters away from the residence. And so we did! You can find every kind of snacks in great prices! We couldn't believe that with 1.5€ you could buy sweet and saulty snack (donuts*2 and cheese snack)!!! In terms of room comfort, we were really pleased!!! Nice kitchenette with all amenities. Boiling device, oven, fridge, freezer. Also, a comfy dinning table and of course a large bed with extra pillows as I had asked!!! The toilet was ok but big. It was equipped with washing machine and guess what else...! A washing dose and softener!!! Wow!!! Didn't expected it!!! Overall, i can say that it was a value of money!!! And let me tell you one last hint. It is near the train station and very close to the entrance of the city!In my opinion, it is preferred to reach the center of the city on foot as to check by yourself the local stores! If you are not a walking type, you can buy bus tickets from the tobacco store, about 100-150 meters from the residence, 30-50 meters before the city entrance!
We had a recent stay at this hotel for five days. The hotel it’s self is lovely, clean rooms, friendly reception and a good breakfast. We found their was a choice of croissants, toast, bacon, pastries, yoghurts, pancakes, fruit and more. The room was tidied daily and had a fridge. The downside was that it advertises a free shuttle bus but what you don’t realise is they will only drop you off into Verona at certain times. We asked one afternoon around 4pm if we could get the shuttle into Verona and there response was 6:30pm (this was the usual time they suggested) I said is there anything earlier if possible? He said erm maybe 5pm. They did take us into town at 5pm which was good, however it felt a bit like they didn’t want to. Also the mini bus only fits around 8 people so you MUST book it in advance as it fills up and you usually wait a hour for the next one. I’d suggest get used to the buses as the train station/ bus station was around a 20min walk but sometimes this was too hot in the heat. You can jump on a bus down the road from the hotel to get around. We did this a few times from Verona, but the bus ignored our stop when we pressed the button and we ended up walking from quite far away. Overall if you are wanting to save a bit of money in comparison to a hotel in the city, this is a good choice clean, tidy and good breakfast! Just bare In mind getting around and using local transport.
We booked back last October, searching for a five star hotel in Verona not wanting to go back to the previous Hotel (considered n1 which was no where near 5star). I searched and went through and compared various reviews from different sources and tried booking well in advance. The Hotel Gabbia D’Oro was our perfect solution for a weekend over in Verona for a long time summer friend’s 50th birthday party. The hotel well exceeded our expectations! Extremely courteous, it felt being guests in an exquisite home. Very pleasantly decorated with a distinguished personal touch and good taste. Antiques, silverware, a sanctuary of tradition. We booked a Junior Suite and were upgraded to a Superior Suite, 204 very cosy and just perfect, an entrance, living room, double bedroom and complete marble bathroom. We just had to ask for a proper hairdryer instead of the slow wall dryer, everything else was there for us. Breakfast room at a glance was triumphant and glittery, personnel very kind, discreet and service full. In the conservatory I regularly passed by to say hello and “chat” to two beautiful parrots Romeo e Giulietta. Romeo would recognize my voice as I descended the second time and chirruping like calling out for attention, an absolute delight. The blonde lady at reception was particularly kind with us throughout. Thank you for the nice time, we shall definitely recommend Hotel Gabbia d’Oro for anyone wishing to have a super plunge into historic Verona, couple of steps away from Piazza delle Erbe, all within walking distance. Thank you!
This Residence is really great. The location is perfect and just a stone’s throw from Verona. The apartment was clean and spacious for four. The welcome was excellent; very friendly and detailed. There was a booklet in the apartment with all types of information: wifi code, parking in Verona, sights to see, restaurant and bar info too. The two latters both offering a 10% discount on meals or breakfast. Plenty parking for cars too which was essential for our stay as we were visiting nearby attractions aswell. Only thing I’d like to mention was that there was only one blanket available for the three beds in the apartment. Only bedsheets and a very thin throw were on the beds, which considering it was mid April, were a little too lightweight. The following morning I whatsapped for more and they were made readily available. So all was solved quickly and effortlessly. All in all a perfect Residence and location to stay in.
The hotel is not in the city, but it is under the high speed and it is very convenient to drive by yourself. The hotel room is very large and well equipped. Although there is no breakfast, the front desk is fully equipped and you can buy breakfast yourself. Free parking is also available.
We spend one evening in Verona and had a lovely stay at Le Suite di Giulietta. The room is spacious, comfortable and has a nice sized with all amenities bathroom. The location is unbeatable, just off of Pizza delle Erbe and you can actually see the balcony of Giulietta from your own balcony! The host is lovely, very responsive and helpful. Due to covid we couldn't have breakfast in the common area so they gave us a complimentary voucher for a delicious bakery just down the road. Very recommended!
An outstanding value. Great location, just minutes from the Arena. Roberto is a very gracious and helpful host. Spacious room (Aida), well-appointed decor. Comfy bed. Nice balcony. Good elevator. Strong WiFi. Super clean. Having an external bathroom for our room worked fine for us (may not for everyone). Early luggage drop off/ late luggage pick up was a great benefit to us given our train schedules. A great PAM grocery store close by. Our only critique would be a lack of an open window for the bathroom and the narrowness of the bathtub. These are design matters and not operational issues. Definitely a satisfying 4 night stay. No breakfast due to Covid-19. We found the excellent Caffè Pasticceria Barini just around the corner.
I would put more stars, if I could. Found this place after had terrible service at Rigoletto, no one was there to open door for me, so i had to find another place on the spot. For few do llars more, I got service that worth much more that they charge. Milano hotel and spa right away made me feel like at home. From the moment i walked in to the moment i was relaxing in rooftop jacuzzi, with amazing view to Arena , took exactly 25 min. I got room with view to Arena, even without asking. Breakfast was served like at high class restaurant, with huge variety of choices from the menu. Everything carefully chosen, for the clients comfort . Stuff very very polite and friendly, especially Cristina and Gavriel. There is much more to say, but it's better one time to try yourself. This place is simply cares! Thank you guys for making my stay at your place so special, cannot wait to come back!
The location was ok - half an hour to walk away from the Arena and 5-7 minutes by car. The room was ok - standard dimension for a double room, even if we payed for a triple room. The parking is free, which is a plus! The staff was great!
Breakfast was lovely, Room was clean & spacious. Surprised to find TWO hairdryers, useful for 2 ladies. Very convenient location, easy walk to the centre and didn't take much longer than getting a taxi when you account for traffic. The staff could not have been more helpful throughout the whole trip, especially reception staff who even helped locate my lost phone when I’d left it in the taxi from the airport!! We had a really lovely stay, and I would come back if I’m ever in Verona again.
The hotel is near Piazza Bra; despite its central position, it is very quiet, so I slept well. The room was small, but comfortable and cozy. I appreciated the cleanliness and the fact that the staff entering the room turned on the air conditioning. Really nice staff. Charming hotel.
My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 7:30 in the morning after a long flight. we were supposed to stay there for 3 nights. They had breakfast area that was very minimal. We asked if we could have some coffee while waiting for our room. We were told that there would be a 8 euro charge per person since we had just arrived. It wasn't the matter of money at all just they were soooo cheap about it. The location of the hotel was totally misrepresented. It was not close to anything as they advertised. When we got our room it was very dirty. Nasty Stains on the wall next to the bed.( I don't want to even guess what it may have been but it was disgusting). There was no hot water and when I called the front desk they said they will turn it on. Rally? wow The rooftop they advertise is a joke. Mainly it was the nasty room. We decided that we will not stay in this hotel and we told the front desk. We told them about the dirty wall and we were told that they will clean it. Totally unacceptable hotel. We walked out. Had a difficult time finding another hotel but fortunately we found one at 7 PM. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.............
We drove from Venice to Lake Como and stopped by Verona. This small town and this hotel are the most satisfying for our trip. The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, and is within walking distance of eating, shopping and sightseeing. The parking place arranged by the hotel is very close. In ztl, the hotel can solve it.
Stayed in a twin bed with very large and comfortable beds. Plenty of charging ports, a mini fridge and kettle in the room. The selections of tea in the room were very impressive and the room was very tidy. The tv in the room was very modern but had no english channels. The bus route into central verona and the train station is extremely close to the hotel with buses running every 15 minutes ish and the hotel is right next to a lidl. Would recommend staying here.
A visit in Verona is always a special event. If you can stay in a ”boutique hotel” like the Touring, the experience becomes more special. The position in the middle of the town, 100 meter from via Mazzini, close to Piazza Erbe and to the Arena make the stay easy and very personal. The hotel is small, modern, clean, well reshaped, with local hosts and very friendly personnel. The breakfast - buffet fulfills every need you might have. To reach the hotel from the railway Verona Porta Nuova station is easy, if taxis are available. If not you can take a public bus 50 meters from the taxi-stand (no.11,12,22,23) and get off at the stop ”via Diaz”, five minutes walking to the hotel. This is true for July 2022 (in Italy things might change....). If you become hungry we recommend one of the restaurants in piazza Erbe or, before or after the opera in the Arena, at piazza Bra, with a great atmosphere of the opera-experience. Visit Verona, the Arena and end your stay by saying: viva Verdi!
The property is beautiful, new with all the comforts in the middle of campagna veronese, just 10 min outside the citycentre of Verona. You can enjoy a great view from the top, people are nice, good breakfast, peaceful environment. You can also enjoy their amarone which is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended stay, good price value.
Stayed here twice in the last 4 weeks. Great hotel in a great location. Very friendly reception, very nice rooms, with balcony, nice bathroom, fast wifi. I recommend choosing a room in the ”Apart” part of the hotel, because then you get a nice kitchen on top. It is only about 400 metres to the historical part of the city, within 5 minutes on foot you are there. Right next to the hotel you will find 3 great places to eat. The private garage (book in advance) offers a good number of parking spaces, but only for small cars. You can sleep with the windows open without problems because it is quiet. BMW X2: tight, but it fits. BMW X5: no chance! Good beds, good pillows. My new favourite hotel in Verona.
Very nice, new and kept very well. Located in a residential area and very quiet, comfortable to move in car. A large free parking is available. It is completely independent for the entrance and exit of the farm because the keys are delivered, of course, from the room, but also from the door of the building. Good breakfast, varied, with home-made cakes and indigenous marmalades specially prepared for the farming. Excellent cleaning of the room as well as the whole structure. Air conditioned in the room, shower bathroom, phone presence, all new, very clean and ordered. Absolutely advice for pleasant or working visits, even for more than one night. I will certainly take account of this farming for the future.
From the very beginning we felt really welcome. The location is perfect, in the most beautiful zone. The host paolo is a really charismatic person and he was always helpful, the place is really nice and with a great cost/benefit ration. Is in a 3rd floor but for us was not a problem
There is a parking lot, very close to the old town, and the front desk staff of the hotel are very enthusiastic! The room is similar to an apartment, with a balcony! With air conditioning, you won’t be afraid of the heat in summer! The breakfast is a relatively standard continental breakfast. Due to the epidemic, the breakfast is served at the table provided by the service staff! Very thoughtful! There is a supermarket about 200 meters away, buying fruit snacks and beer...cheap!
Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. Great location in Verona, short walk from train station and in the other direction an easy walk to the gate and into the historic area, many options for eating and shopping. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, offering suggestions and directions. The room was clean and comfortable perhaps a bit tight and as others have mentioned the shower was really small. Water pressure was an issue on a couple of mornings. The breakfast buffet was very good with many choices - we almost didn't need a lunch! The lobby bar offered wines by the glass and we enjoyed trying local wines and, of course, campari or aperol spritz after a day of sightseeing! I want to recognize James, whether serving in the breakfast room or the bar, his charming personality and assistance made our visit extra special!! We celebrated a couple of birthdays during our stay and James created tasty and beautifully presented appetizers to accompany our Prosecco!!
I stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Scalzi at the start of my trip to Italy. The room was neat and clean, air conditioning was great and next to silent and the bed comfortable. It was also very quiet, which is important for me, being a light sleeper. Breakfast was included, as well as delicious cappucino. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Can totally recommend this 2 star accommodation.
We have two children a 3 and a 1 year old. The staff went out of their way to help. We had an amazing holiday and we can’t wait to go again. The rooms were lovely and had plenty of space for us all. At 18:00 they have someone in the bar playing piano. My eldest keeps asking to go back. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.
We stayed here for one night as part of our tour through Northern Italy. The hotel was easy to find (thanks to a message from the hotel a few days previous explaining the location!) The room was great, very clean and very modern. We didn’t have have disruption being so close to the station platforms. The breakfast was a nice addition and the lady serving was really lovely and helpful. With check out being quite early the staff were really helpful in storing our bags until we departed later that afternoon. The town centre is an easy 20 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again!
