I checked in here late last night as a single European woman. The male check in staff were lovely. I felt very safe and welcome. The rooms are simple but very clean especially for Tunisian standards. The bed was very comfy and I even had free Wi-fi and a tv and air conditioning. They even lent me a phone charger for the night. Thank you so much hotel Paris, you are the best and I would love to stay again with you someday. Five star service from a little medina hotel.

A lovely, lovely place to stay. Finding it the first time isn't easy - but once you've hit the painted starfish on the wall of Rue Casbah, turn and follow red painted arrows that lead you to this B&B. The guardian is a delightful chap for whom nothing is too much trouble. He conjured up breakfast and fresh coffee each morning, an extra loo roll and even a corkscrew when we asked! Breakfast was bread, a patisserie item, a boiled egg and a selection of jams as well as tea or coffee each morning. Watch you don't step on the tiny courtyard resident turtle! The room is nicely decorated and very clean. I am knocking one star off for two minor points - firstly, the drains in the bathroom smelled pretty bad despite the fact the loo and shower clearly work fine, and secondly, the air conditioning unit which doubles as a heater in winter is positioned so high in the room and above a painted decorative shelf, that you feel no benefit. The bed does have good blankets but we needed to stay under them! Not the end of the world but you will need warm clothes for the room if staying here in winter. The owner should consider buying a freestanding, plug in heater for the rooms, which would bring the heat down and make them more habitable.

Visited Tunisia in Covid times, so please take this review accordingly. The hotel is approx 30 min from the airport by bus, walking distance from the main souq at Medina approx 15 min. Note that the souq is closed in the evening, need to go there approx between 9 till 18 hour. Small shops around the hotel but majority closed. The hotel is enourmous, in general clean, the furnishing quite old. Room normal size, we had sea view room with balcony. Perfect! Strong point: a good size swimming pool, gorgeous beach and clear water. We had the privilege of having nearly empty beach. Weak point: service and food selection, half of the hotel facilities not working, all inclusive offer not fully delivered. As being European, the food was served in a smaller meeting room/restaurant ???, with awful selection and disasterous service - no self service, insufficient people to serve the food, not qualified personal during first three days of stay. Food served cold. The reason was, that local groups, understand Tunisian families, were offered to stay in the hotel at special weekend price, so hundreds of pax queuing. We gave up waiting, the first day of our stay, after 45 minutes. After some complaints were provided the second room, where all food was served. Animation or entertainment team - missing, there was every night some kind of dance performance, but in comparison with other destination, the entertainment very poor. In general I woul not recommend to stay in the hotel during the Covid 19 time due to the very limited service offered. I hope that the situation will change soon.

Just spent a week in Marhaba Royal Salem, and all in all great hotel! Fine dining, fine rooms and... AMAZING animation team! These guys (the animation team) had prepared new shows and dances every night and it was SO great. Especially one of the guys, Willy, did such a good job dancing, that you wondered why he was not in a musicvideo instead of dancing in a hotel. He is definately the most gifted dancer of all of the dancers. And besides being a great entertainer, Willy was really good at socializing with the guests so that no one got to be left alone. Big applaus to Willy and I hope to see him in a Chris Brown musicvideo one day. Willy is the guy on the right with the red shirt.

You get what you pay for in this hotel... but I must say what a brilliant animation team they have !! Salem, Neymar and MoMo make up one of the best animation teams I’ve ever seen ! It is clear to see that they enjoy their work thoroughly and do their best to get everyone involved. The hard work they put into planning the activities and shows really pays off ! They are so friendly and make time to socialise with all of the guests and will help you in any way they can, what a great bunch of people ☺️

Sousse has been hit hard by the collapse in tourism. The Sousse Palace is still holding its own. It may not be to the highest 5 star standards but it’s still good. On arrival, the receptionist Mariem could not have been more friendly. Throughout our stay she could not have done enough to make us feel welcome. Even providing advice on which New Year’s Eve party time go to. The facilities are good - breakfast, the spa, full free parking as examples. Some criticisms. The TV and safe in the room did not work. Despite asking for them to be fixed, they never were. The previous guests left clothes in the cupboard and these were still there when I arrived. This questions the room cleaning.

We were very happy staying here for three nights, using Sousse as a base to explore nearby places. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and served in the lovely courtyard, the wifi was more than adequate (better than some other places we stayed), and the people were very nice. There is a roof terrace with views and places to lounge in warm weather. There are also some other charming common areas if you want to sit somewhere other than your room. We were recommended several restaurants in walking distance and we tried and liked them all. We informed the hotel of our arrival time, and there was someone waiting for us. It was easy to check in, and we did not mind paying right away, so that this was taken care of and we didn't have to deal with it later. Staying in the medina might not be for everyone if you plan to walk around at night but we liked the location. The dar is just a few minutes walk from a local train station that has frequent trains to Monastir and Mahdia, and is only a 15-minute walk from the central station, with connections to Tunis, El Jem etc.

Hello, I would like to send a huge thanks to the entire Pearl hotel, managers and staff. For my first experience visiting Tunisia, it was beautiful!.... due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I got married in our hotel suite. It was simple and small, but beautiful. The staff congratulated us with complimentary drinks, and cakes. I was not expected that, but I nonetheless appreciated the gesture. The room was beautifully decorated, lots of closet space (if you are one of those people who can't live out of suitcase and need everything neat and hung up!) Free dry cleaning too! The Pearl Hotel is of course, not one of the larger hotels, however if you appreciate the small details and attentive staff, making you feel welcomed, and last but not least, if you have mobility issues and can't walk long time just to get to pool, restaurant or your room, everything is close by. My husband asked for a recommendation for a nice restaurant to take me to, and instead of reccomending their restaurant at the hotel, they offered the restaurant across the street called le escargot. It was small, yet intimate and had a french rustic vibe to it. The owner was present on site, and all staff again were friendly! The food, Yum! So delicious! Plus the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Speaking of food, everything I had to eat at the Hotel Pearl was simply amazing and delicious!.... As it was our honeymoon, we ordered room service alot, but if we didn't see something that we wanted, my husband asked if they could make it, and almost everytime, they accommodated us and we weren't disappointed. It's those little attention to details that make a hotel a 5 star, instead of a 4 or 3 star. Coming from New Jersey, near New York City, USA, I am used to outstanding hotels, and The Pearl didn't disappoint! It made my wedding day and honeymoon just magical and unforgettable. I would definitely recommend. Hope this helps anyone.
