Because the schedule is uncertain, it has been booked several times, and the overall effect is good. The front desk is available in English and the person in charge of the restaurant is the best in English. It's just a small desk, everything else is fine, and occasionally there will be a power outage, but it seems to have its own generator.

Best chill out rooftop bar in Yangon! Definitely feel cool but if you're comfortable hanging out with starry-eyed expats then you can get to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of Yangon and Inya Lake View at night, pretty good bar and take soft or liquor drinks and surprisingly and attractively high standards, nice staff, good music.

The room is actually old after all, breakfast is ok. The place is not far from the airport. It is estimated that it will take twenty minutes and a half hours to drive without traffic jams. There is nothing to eat around. In addition, when staying, the hotel staff did not know Ctrip, and eventually they did not know how to find my order. In short, it took some time to explain.

Not a new hotel, the hotel room is large, but the bathroom facilities are old; the best is that each room has a separate balcony, you can see the scenery of the lake. The public space is perfect, there is an independent recreation room; it is very pleasant to walk along the trail in the morning or evening.

When I arrived at the Yangon International Airport without any USD and Kyat, the money changer do not accept New Taiwan Dollar. I called the front desk they offer to pay in advance for the taxi trip to the hotel which I reimburse them later. The front office manager, Mr. Kyaw Lin Htin, was there to greet me. The breakfast is awesome with different variety of choices every morning. Room service shows up in the evening to check out on the guests. The rooftop view is awesome and the gym is up to date. The location is close to downtown but far away from the traffic. It takes about 20 minutes to the airport. Highly recommended for business travel

A hotel with very good service. I will call to remind you that you have breakfast tomorrow. When the room is opened, the front desk will lead you to your room. When entering and leaving the hotel, the waiter including the parking lot will also greet you warmly and give someone a nice greeting. A feeling of being at home. Then before cleaning, I will call to ask you what time to clean, and I will stay here next time I come to Yangon

Okay I don't usually send reviews but, Gemsy is one of the best value places to stay in Yangon and totally underrated - 23 year YGN vet here. Under 2 year old hotel so the photos are 100% accurate. Stayed here for 7 weeks in May/June 2020 in different rooms including their main royal gemsy, all top notch, even gave me a tour of other options which are all as pic showed. Location not downtown (so maybe not perfect for some), but supermarket a 1min walk away, street food and many restaurants under 3min walk, also on main bus route if wanting to travel as a local further, ofc taxi easy via grab. On staff can only say great, GM Ma Irene perfect, Ma Phyu at reception awesome, other staff also all wearing masks so mmmm names missing but all great and chatty. Simply no negative issues, wish they opened buffet brekkie, but understand during covid, though they will deliver to your room free. Can say much more, but a perfect spot to stay in YGN for sure.

Service 5 stars, very intimate, great, breakfast is rich, it is rare that I went to 10 o'clock, it is the end time, not only delays to take me meals, but also actively helped me to sandwich the fruit snacks before I withdraw the meal. Also help to call a taxi, bargaining, I took a taxi from the airport in the past 23,000 kyats were slaughtered, from the hotel security guards only 8,000 kyats, the hotel room is large, the mattress is also comfortable, although not newly renovated, but also very Clean, most satisfied with the service, very warm

Breakfast is OK, there are more types to choose from. Breakfast is the same as most hotels from 6:30 to 9:30. The room I stayed in could not have an extra bed. Suitable for children. The location of the hotel is very good, easy to find, very close to the Ruiguang Golden Pagoda. There is a small parking lot in the hotel. It is no problem to park five or six cars, but there are only one or two cars in normal times. The front desk service is especially good. If you go out to play more expensive, they will help you to call the taxi price will be more reasonable. When I left the store, I was in the morning flight. The breakfast at 6:30 allowed me to dine at six o'clock. The front desk service manager I have contacted many times is a man who has been a 13-year-old man. He is a good man, humble and courteous, and good at English. The only problem that arises is that the location of the hotel does not match the location indicated on the map. The position of the five-pointed star in the uploaded image is the location indicated by the route, while the small blue circle is the actual hotel location.

I like it very much, and I have accumulated about 7-80 days in the past few years. Recently, I found that the service is a bit stagnant, focusing on receiving tourist groups, and weakening the enthusiasm for individual customers, especially the online payment service has basically stopped. Online booking is only available, and cash payment is required upon check-in! Bring a lot of inconvenience to my travel! Moreover, as a regular visitor, no special privileges can be enjoyed. Print 10 pages of black and white A4 paper for a fee of MYR 5,000! It seems time to choose another hotel!

This was my 6th visit to Yangon, but my first stay at the Golden Butterfly. The hotel was chosen for its close proximity to the Shwedegon, our only reason for this visit. The hotel is ageing, aren't we all, but it still maintains some of its old grandeur with its beautiful entrance displaying timber craftsmanship of days gone by. The reception was managed professionally in a friendly welcoming manner. The room allocated was airy and clean, with a very large bed, TV and room safe. The bathroom was of normal size, clean and well maintained however the old style shower bath configuration may be difficult for the aged or those with hip and back problems as the bath stands approximately 50 cm high. We were only at the hotel for three days/two nights and as stated earlier our sole purpose this visit was to see the Shwedegon. During OUR stay the staff were friendly and helpful, arranged taxis for us and provided us with guidance as to shopping. The restaurant staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, providing me with a large mug for my breakfast tea rather than the usual 'thimble' size cups. The pool area was clean and a nice place to finish one's evening with a cold beer and a glass of wine. Overall this is a low to medium priced hotel ideally situated for a visit to the Shwedegon. Recommended though older or infirm guests should check out the bathroom configuration before booking.

Booked a Superior Twin Room (without window) and was upgraded to Deluxe Twin Room and free of charge for early check-in at 10:00 hrs. The hotel is in a great location which is a 10-minute walking to Chinatown and huge clean rooms. The best part of our stay was the staff, they were very polite, kind and accommodating, especially Mr. Lin Htun Aung on the waiter who was very friendly and always smile. We travel across Burma. During our stay in Yangon we got to the opening of a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, because of this festive day we couldn't have had a full lunch, but the hotel staff would have taken care of us so we wouldn't be hungry. We were frequented several times with super snacks free of charge so that we ate to satisfaction . We also received wonderful gifts : hats , towels and shopping bags. We thank the hotel manager and his staff for taking care of us so much. The restaurant is worth the recommendation. It is worth visiting.

This is my fourth business trip to Yangon this year. The first time was a different hotel, but I have been taking care of the cherry hills hotel since the second time. The restaurant "Fuji no Bo" on the first floor is quite famous here, and it is taken care of by the dinner at the first visit, and it is made this hotel from the second time. The staff 々 greets you in Japanese, and the TV also reflects Japanese TV. I am glad that there is also a washlet in the toilet in the room and it is very comfortable. (there is also a bathtub) This time I asked for a taxi pick-up at the airport for the first time, but Ms. Su Wai Naing at the front desk (Suwan Wan Nine) replied to the email many times, It was a very kind response (she is fluent in English). I can eat breakfast like I am in Japan at Fuji Bo, and I think it is a very comfortable hotel for Japanese people.

Received a gift voucher from my sis-in-law to stay at a Gary Player Suite. The rooms are wide and clean - the bathroom as well. Loved taking a shower there. The view is fantastic and it's just so relaxing to lie on the bed, take in the golf course scenery and just use your phone on the bed. Nice to chill. Although the hotel provided mosquito repellent liquid, mosquitoes just won't die there. It is a nice getaway place and there is a bar and a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The lobby is in the open space, so you can just relax there with the cool breeze coming in from the golf course. I will blame Covid19 for not being able to enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The waiters just gave us a set menu to choose from. Try the Healthy Breakfast set. It is by far the best menu there. Not many guests during the Covid19 period but the waiters forgot to serve us coffee which was imcluded in the set menu. Conclusion: a nice quiet place to just chill (nothing else), there are two other restaurants / cafes nearby... and most importantly, prepare your own mosquito repellent spray, especially in the Monsoon Season as the mosquitoes are no joke!!
