2.17km from Al-Saaj Al-ReefiI am a new teacher for KAU and they provided me with lodging at this hotel for the first six days after my arrival in Jeddah. The staff were usually very friendly--only one or two seemed a bit standoffish but I think that might have been due more to a cultural/linguistic barrier than to their willingness to help (everything I needed or every problem I had was eventually and usually very quickly solved). Mr. Akram, a staff member of the hotel, took me back and forth between the university in the hotel car and was very helpful and kind--going out of his way to help me with my errands. The waiter Mohamed Ashik was very kind, noted that I was a little uneasy my first few days in Jeddah, and was quick to make me laugh when I went to the restaurant or when he brought room service. He also speaks English quite fluently which helped me a lot. Perhaps the greatest proof of their hospitality is that, even though I was terribly late for checkout (nearly 8 hrs due to a miscommunication I had with the university about the number of days I was to stay there), they were very understanding and didn't charge me any kind of fee or extra night's stay. Mr. Akram helped me while I was panick-packing everything up as quickly as I could and saw me to my Uber driver. Hospital staff and great, comfortable accomodation.
