This place has all the attributes of a good Boutique. Great decor, Newari architectural charm, the right amount of creature comforts, and personalized and friendly hospitality. IF it fixes a few holes in the fabric, it could be a winner. The biggest letdown was the extremely lame breakfast that had almost no good local food in it and the dated room interior. IF they get that fixed they can be a true charmer. The feeling was reconstructed after the earthquake, but only a part of it was rebuilt. The look is very new and the interior is very distinctive. The room was very clean, mainly because the bed was very clean. It’s much cleaner than the more expensive hotels I used to live in. There is no air conditioning in the room, no TV, no kettle, no toiletries. The view and location of the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel is very good, but the meal is generally not recommended. There is a chef recommended dry buffalo beef which is quite delicious. If you must eat at this hotel, you can order this dish.

First, if you’re coming to Bhaktapur, you should really try to spend at least one night here. The city is at its most magical at sunrise and sunset so a day trip really doesn’t do it justice. If you’re going to stay in Bhaktapur, the Vajra guesthouse is a great place to do it. There are plenty of three star hotels that are comfortable and clean, but none of them have the team at the Vajra. The restaurant staff, the front desk, the ownership, and housekeeping all went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location is fantastic only minutes from Terbar Square and a short walk to all the sites in medieval Bhaktapur. The restaurant is very good, too.

Pradhan House - Home Stay with Garden

This is a 5 star hotel in the budget category for Nepal. We stayed in a room on the upper floor with a double bed, attached bathroom, and 2 nice sitting chairs and a side table, and a lot of sunshine and garden view. Very very clean!!! I am a clean freak, so this was important. Good lighting options in the room, not just one bulb (post trekking, that's lovely). Good bedding, and no mildew smells anywhere. This price per night includes delicious big breakfast, with tea or coffee, with 4 or 5 choices of set breakfast, from a egg, toast, yogurt fruit combo to a more nepali flare of chickpea curry, falafel-like patties, mandala omlette combo. Very filling. We only ate breakfast here, but did see other guests eating dinner by candlelight one evening. The host has such a good vibe! So kind. So chill. Just a lovely energy to be around. He gave us gentle suggestions each day - zero pressure! Just a...hey, I see you are reading these books, and there is a paper factory you may be interested in very close by. (It was marvelous) And hey, there's a festival coming on Monday that you might be interested in, and extending your Bhaktapur pass is free to do if you want to stay. That level of suggestion without pressure is a pleasure to be around. Every other guest we met here has also been friendly and chatty and lovely - I think it's the atmosphere created by the hosts here. The host's daughter also helped me solve a problem of getting more data through NCell on my phone in about 3 minutes... last time I had to find a shop and it was a hassle. I asked owner where would be a shop and he said, my daughter will help, and Snap! It's done for both myself and my partner's phones. The garden, though. 💜💜💜 The grass, the trees, the plants, the flowers, the birds! The hodt has set up tables outside, and created lovely sitting areas for breakfast, and for solo sitting. When we needed to find a place to shift to, as our airbnb reservation was completed, but we weren't ready to leave bhaktapur yet, I searched for ”hotel with garden”. This is the only one that came up in our budget range, and it's just lovely. So obviously cared for and loved by this host family. My partner and I are introverts and quiet travelers, and appreciate hosts that leave us be, while being available when we need help. This host has excellent social skills, and has matched us perfectly. I've also seen him interacting with more gregarious guests, and he matches them as well. That is valuable!! Two things that I appreciate as a post-trekking traveler.... the excellent and stable and fast wifi connection (needed to work online), and that when he brings the toast he brings a WHOLE jar of jam, peanut butter and honey. So many times on our treks I had toast and had to scrape a teaspoon of jam across my two pieces of toast... the whole jar feels like luxury. 😄 That's a silly one, but some other jam lover out there will sympathize. 😊 It is very close to a square, but with more of a neighbo

We very much enjoyed our stay in this guest house. Very friendly staff, clean room, working fan, tasty food - the breakfast with fresh fruit, muesly and creamy curd is recommended as well as traditional Nepali tea/coffee. We appreciate the good quality beds/matrasses and quiet surroundings, allowing a good night sleep. Cultural heratige sites, small local Nepali eating places are close by as well as touristic shops, supermarket, restaurants and a busstation at walking distance.

This guest house is in a fantastic location! It is right between Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Pottery Square- you can walk to many attractions and it is very easy to find. It is also in a very beautiful area, the surrounding architecture is very pretty and intricate. I could recommend it based on the area alone, but the staff was also very nice! On my last day in Bhaktapur, I went for a morning trek that ended up taking all day and I was not able to get back and check out in time. He worked with me over the phone and make the whole ordeal much less stressful. When I got back, he organized transportation for me and everything to my next destination. There is also a very nice café right across the road that serves very good coffee and has the absolute sweetest baristas! The room and attached bathroom was very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of outlets, there is water in the room, and the hot water in the shower works well. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Bhaktapur!

Mountain Guesthouse is perfect. The rooms are clean and quite. Sometimes you hear the noise of the streets, but it is Nepal. You get used to it and it’s charming in some kind of way. The location is perfect, just around the corner of Durbar square, and in front of a really nice temple, where you see a lot of locals bringing their offers and doing their rituals. The owner is super kind and makes to most nice breakfast. A bit of a combination between local food, with western: really good bara, some patatoes, with toast and egg as well. Served with tea or coffee. He even got me a famous king curd when I told I love them so much!

Belonging to the boutique hotel, it is an old building of more than 300 years. The furnishings are also very delicate. The bedding is cotton and linen. The mattress pillow is very comfortable. The shower gel lotion in the bathroom tastes good, but I have no use. It is rare to prepare a lot of towels and two rolls of paper, many details are very intimate, breakfast is too rich, breakfast yogurt is cleaner than net red, it is delicious, dinner is also eaten at the hotel, the owner I will take photos to show me, let me choose better. I will explain it to me with special tastes. I am afraid that I don’t understand and I will search for pictures. The owner helped me to go to the airport the next day. A lot of comfortable vans. However, the address and phone number on Ctrip are wrong. Many taxis at the airport could not be found. The attitude of Ctrip to help solve the problem is positive, but the final solution is still solved by the locals to find the hotel phone. I hope I can change the error message. come.

The one who checked in was not the one you booked. When we checked in at night, the boss took us to another house because there was no booking information for us at all ... I did n’t have the energy to do it in the big night. I told Ctrip Ctrip to start the next day I didn't say a reason at the end, but I did n’t let me check in, but the hotel that took me was compensated at the same price. I did n’t reply to the email for more than 24 hours, and I did n’t object. The reason was that we did n’t understand the version of the hotel and did n’t understand how the 54 yuan compensation was calculated. I ’m really dissatisfied with the booking service.

Sitting on the roof and admiring the life of Bardgang, enjoying the meticulous service of several boys, I suddenly felt the rhythm slowed down. To the hotel is midnight at 12 o'clock, the car can not enter, the hotel came to pick up two people, the room is relatively compact, but because there is no hot water in the mountains in Jiadu, it feels very comfortable here. First of all , I would definitely recommend staying at least one night in Bhaktapur, where people mostly do it as a day trip from Kathmandu. Located in one of the narrow lanes of the old city, the hotel is hardly a minute's walk from Durbar square . This is a traditional family home converted to a boutique hotel without losing its old world charm. Clean room, cosy bedding, friendly service and a lovely rooftop with views of the durbar square wherein you catch a glimpse of the local life. Breakfast was a bit basic but again, you can't complain for the rates you pay.
