We stayed at the end of August at this hotel, while it has been nicely renovated and my first impression was positive, it was not until the next day when we were about to take a shower that we spotted this stain in the tub making it a little gross to get in.

General Manager Bryan Davis is very professional and sweet. Employees are great and very professional. Ms. Meeka in housekeeping, Ms. Sheila and Ms. Ralisha at the front desk are very helpful. I've been staying there for quite sometime and have always been greeted with a friendly smile and a hello. Very family oriented place. Great place!

Stayed here for a wedding and the rooms were reserved for guests so I did not read any reviews prior to our trip. I'm not familiar with the area but the location was close (10 min. max) to everywhere we had to be over the weekend. We were very pleased with the quality of the accommodations. Very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with tons of options! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was cold when we were there so we did not use the pool. Definitely recommend and would stay here again if we ever return!

When we have to say goodbye to Florida every summer to head west, we make sure on our way out of the state we do it in style here at GM Ashley’s fantastic Homewood Suites. This was our 3rd stay and every one has been memorable. This one began with Sally at the Front Desk making sure housekeeping got right on our designated room after a late checkout on that room. Sally was dedicated to making it happen for us and we so appreciated her care. Staffers are masked and there is sanitizer everywhere, so nothing at all to worry about for those who might be concerned. Coffee in the lobby in the morning and wait until you see breakfast! You need to be served but the happy staffer doing the serving has all sorts of hot items for you (all sorts!). There is also a cold case with water bottles, Chobani yogurts and 2% milk cartons. This is in addition to a table full of individual-wrapped sweet rolls, a big basket of apples and oranges and the Grab ‘n Go bags if you are in a hurry. Once again, GM Ashley is here to make your Homewood Tallahassee trip one of your best hotel stays ever even with some people’s virus worries. There is a fitness room with free weights that is by appointment. Water dispenser and plenty of towels. As Ashley knows – we can’t wait to return.

With current COVID-19 pandemic going on I can't recommend anyone can safely stay at this hotel. As we all know cleanliness has overtaken “location, location, location” when it comes to creating a competitive edge for hotels. After spending three weeks with family on a road trip, including six states, this hotel was an epic fail. Actually, the only epic fail of 10 places we stayed. Typically, cleanliness is based on visual inspection. It's difficult to distinguish between legitimate cleaning efforts and public relations "clean". It's almost impossible to find a hotel that hasn't introduced a new sanitation program, promising its rooms are squeaky clean and will be coronavirus-free. Right now it's about the unspoken facts that tell a better story. Are they really on their A-Game? From intial contact at this hotel asking if we could check in an hour early (couldn't because no rooms were available or clean) to the final conversation with management it was obvious coronavirus was not the highest priority for this hotel. There was the small stuff... first impressions being everything, yet trash was running over at the hotel front entrance. The pretty important... hand sanitizer stations at elevators not working ( red light clearly blinking). Informed front desk- during my stay no action taken. To the downright unforgivable. Open, eaten from, food containers left in the fridge from previous room occupants The worst. Management was not willing to take accountability. Felt like they are short staffed since management said both her and GM were performing room cleaning duties. She stated the food was not in my room when she checked the room. So she means I'm lying? Items in room were from a grocery store we never visited. We spent over 20 in snacks at the hotel convenience store and ordered over a hundred from local restaurants just for one night. Why would we waste so much at overpriced hotel convenience store items if we had gone to a real store? When I asked who had last cleaned our room manager stated she hadn't cleaned rooms in a week and something similar with her GM. That left a cleaning crew of two people cleaning an entire hotel, lobby and 88 rooms. Calculating number of rooms staff members can clean (roughly) in an eight hour would be 9 departure rooms or 13 stayovers. Including time to prepare their trolleys based on the cleaning sheet they take and another 15 min to tidy their trolleys when they finish, allow 15 min extra for morning briefing. Remember they had no rooms for us to check into early so rooms are dirty. How can a manager and a district manager clean rooms, laundry and be focused on thier own duties during this critical time? Finally, can't help but question is there an obvious commitment to hygiene? I say NO. Can you find hand sanitizers in the public ? Yes, but not working. Do a visual inspection, and it looks clean? No, trash running over outside. Partially eaten food left in room fridge. L

We stayed here this past weekend for a volleyball tournament. The area is decent with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. You can walk to a few restaurants as well. The hotel lobby has obviously been refreshed over the years and is very nice. Customer service was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. What needs improvement is the rooms. The rooms are old. The carpet is old. The bathrooms are old (and not very clean). The A/C was old and loud. The pillows smelled like bleach. We had two double beds that were in desperate need of replacement. One of them made creaking noises when we moved around and the other literally sank in the middle. Our daughter slept in the creaky bed and my husband and I struggled to sleep in the sagging bed. There is so much potential for this hotel, given the location. If they renovated the rooms, I would consider staying there again.

Check in was fast, checked into my rooms in which both room we’re supposed to be king suites,that’s what I paid for. We got 1 king and a double queen. Rooms were great bed and room smelled good. Then all of a sudden the Ceiling in the bathroom started to poor water down because someone above me was taking a shower, I called the front desk right away thinking they would be able to just fix it being as though they were booked full. No she moved me rooms and didn’t say the room type or anything just handed me the keys. Once I got in the room which was smaller the cabinets on the dresser were falling apart and I Specifically booked a King room because that’s what I wanted. I was moved to a Double Queen room which was way smaller and falling apart. They didn’t discount the room didn’t offer me a free night or nothing. I don’t think I would stay with them again. This was my 1 night getaway that turned horrible. I have never had a bad experience with this hotel company. Until now. I am actually a front desk manager. And the fact that no discount was giving is unremarkable and unreasonable. I did not get what I paid for.

This hotel has real ally gone down. Just because there’s a pandemic, doesn’t mean you should decrease your standards. Let me explain: 1. The coffee table in the entrance looked as if it was as never changed and just thrown together. 2. Due to COVID-19, there is no breakfast available, understandable but what about grab and go options especially for Gold and Diamond Hilton members. 3. Stayed on 2nd floor saw several huge roaches in the hallway. 4. Also on 2nd floor, trash can by ice maker was never emptied from Friday night until Monday when we checked out. 5. Didn’t observe any special or extra cleaning from the maids. Watched them clean an empty room while waiting on extra towels. 6. Front desk staff wasn’t engaging, barely looked up when we passed by either coming or leaving. 7. Beds were comfortable, but pulled top cover off because they are never changed. Lysoled pillows and sheets and entire room. 8. House cleaners need to add vacuums to their carts.

Our first post quarantine hotel and we weren't thrilled. I know it must be difficult with all the new rules regarding covid19, but you could at least vacuum our room. We found gold fish snacks laying on the floor in plain site. We wondered how clean the rest of the room was then, so we proceeded to wipe down everything with the cleaning materials we brought along. Carpet was torn next to the sofa. Pool was closed but not posted on website. Breakfast was a carryout bag with orange, breakfast bar, muffin and water. Coffee was available. Hotel was in a good location with restaurants close by. Lots of competition for hotels in the area....Hilton you can do better than this.

Driving around while trying to learn the roads of my new place of residence, I happened upon the Staybridge Suites Tallahassee by accident. Greeted by very helpful people, led by Front Desk Team lead Terrell, when I stepped into the lobby, I immediately said to myself, this is where I belong. Canceling my month-long reservation at another property, I moved my baggage into a full-on suite, well equipped with kitchen, massive bed, and twin televisions. The wi-fi is super duper strong, executive workout room is functioning, and well-appointed hot breakfast is served by Master Chef Valerie. Surrounded by trees , pond, and a sparkling pool, the grounds are to die for. After visiting over ten hotels in Tallahassee, none/zero/zilch could hope to compare with the Staybrridge Suite's immaculate grounds. Absolutely beautiful. A good plan while you are here is to do an intensive workout, throw-in a load of laundry, have a good meal, visit Waymon at the happy hour (Mon-Wed), sit outside overlooking the pond while sipping on a beverage and noshing on snacks, watch the sunset while calling someone you love and share the moment, sit by the fireplace with a good book, grab your laundry, head to the sweet suite and enjoy some American Greed (my favorite show). Repeat the preceding routine often -- happiness and bliss follows. The Housekeeping Team is absolutely incredible. The hotel is really clean and tidy. I'm equally impressed by the comfy towels and sheets -- Sonya does an excellent job at keeping the laundry clean and comfortable. As Veteran, The General Manger Glenn proudly represents the troops very well. Leadership is a skill that comes through naturally . Glenn is a true leader, extremely responsive to individual needs, constantly thinking outside of the box to ensure maximum enjoyment during the entire stay. That can-do-attitude is omnipresent throughout the entire hotel team . From the Maintenance Team headed by Chris, who by the way can fix and do anything (put a superhero logo on your shirt, you deserve it), to the entire Front Desk Team (thank you Jocelyn, Terri. Marisa, Terrell, Lynne, and Haley), to Holly in Sales., the Staybridge Suites Tallahassee Team rocks! Which is why in the middle of a pandemic, this property is sold-out. A special thanks and vote of appreciation goes out to Marisa. Marisa does it all. Pouring chilled libations the super cool bar, checking-in guests, AND augmenting the Housekeeping Team, the multi-tasking Marisa would be a welcomed addition to any organization. Selected this Motel 6 based on location & that pets stay free. It was late (nearing 10pm) when we arrived. Had we not been so tired, I think we would have left to find another place. Check in was easy & the desk clerk was friendly. We were given a ground floor room as requested. We looked past the middle aged women in the parking lot twerking to some loud, obnoxious music next to their vehicle. Declined having one when they asked for a light and made our trips back & forth to get our luggage & pets into the room. The room was in very poor condition overall, but the bed & sheets appeared to be clean enough to sleep on after careful inspection. The bathroom wall had appearances of recent, shoddy repair to the sheetrock with visible sheetrock tape. The tub was stained or missing parts of the porcelain & the caulking around the bathtub was haphazardly applied. There was only one wet towel hanging over the shower rail. New "towels" were retrieved from the front desk. The "towels" were more like sheets of exam table paper and there was only what was to be bath towel. We declined to shower based on the conditions of the shower & towel situation. There was a piece of wood with a section broken off that had placed under the mirror, behind the sink. Assumed this was to help hold the mirror in place. Felt a little better after wiping down the sink area & remote with cleaner wipes we had brought along. After attempting to get some sleep for a few hours, we decided at 430am that we just needed to go. The place reminded me of a hostel that we stayed at in Costa Rica but with an air conditioner & actual glass on the windows instead of just a screen. The owners of this place should take a look around and take some pride in the product they are selling. I usually do look at reviews before selecting a place but didn't this time. Won't make that mistake again!

I gave it a 4 because the cc on the tv didnt work, the batteries were dieing as well.. but honestly it was clean, quite and a comfortable stay for just shy of $60. I'm sure if we would have asked, they would have resolved it but we were ready to sleep The bed was a comfortable memory foam mattress. We got in just after midnight. The gentleman checked us in quickly and was very polite. I brought my own pillow and just remembered, I left my pillow... ;-(. I fell asleep shortly after hitting my pillow. There were no bugs.. which is awesome... like I said it was clean.. The breakfast was small cakes, coffee and juice. The coffee was pretty good.. I forgot my honey bun in the microwave of my room.. I am sure it's tough to keep these rooms up because folks dont treat them right.. it looked like someone recently kicked a hole in the bathroom door so that needs repair... When I'm traveling, I want a comfortable clean room to sleep.. all other is bonus.. and this room works for that. Melissa said the pillows were not comfortable, but that's one reason I bring my own. I'm going to try to call to see if they will hold my pillow till I come back through... I will otherwise really miss that..

Jennifer and her staff made our weekend of rest a very pleasant one. The hotel is situated central to all things in Tallahassee, FL. The parking is $8/day. The rooms were nice and clean. It has a high rise condo-esque feel. They have a snack bar/market downstairs, pool table, XYZ lounge/bar, and board games. There is a microwave downstairs for your use and they have a pool. The chocolate chip cookies from the pantry are really good! The staff was friendly and greeted everyone. Just an FYI they have an all-in-one shampoo and conditioner and shower gel in the shower.

Took a weekend trip with a family member to this location and couldn’t have been more pleased. From check in with Shaneka to the completion of my stay, our visit was wonderful. Comfortable and clean room. Had my pup with me, so there was a pet fee. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have stayed here a few times in the last couple of years and it has been consistent. One thing is that I will make sure my room is not above the front door in the future. The sound of the automatic door woke the dog up, who woke me up. Alone it wouldn't have been an issue.

This is a utility hotel with 5 star service. Their breakfast is good and free. The staff of Paul and Hemu Management team are on the ball. They switched our iron, gave us fantastic recommendations of where to eat, and made sure the breakfast was well stocked. The front desk was warm and welcoming to ALL the guests day and night. There is a Walmart next door and a Tacobell in the parking lot.

I have no idea how CM recruited the employees at this location but they were all so genuinely nice and thoughtful, it was such a pleasure. Not only were they nice to guests but, it seemed to me, to each other as well. First time at this new lay out. Restaurant was quite good for this kind of property. The room layout different as well which we liked. Overall I would say what made it stand apart was the staff. Would most definitely stay there again.

She was confident, efficient, proficient, and put my needs before hers. I was experiencing a significant conflict at the time, and her smile, confidence, and words of encouragement lifted me from the depths of my despair and helped me see the beauty of the blessings around me. This place started out great... I had no issues with any of the staff until the general manager ... I have a puppy who is a registered service dog.. he is still going through behavioural training.. he is a diabetic alert service dog but he is a pit breed which makes him playful.. general manager started charging me pet fee a whole weekend till she came in Sunday.. she was rude and told me I was lying he is not a service dog because he had a small uncontrollable accident in hall.. they had us on 3ed floor slow elevator he couldn't help it.. we cleaned it immediately.. said because he greeted a staff at desk he was not service.. she had his registration emailed to her email day I checked in and claimed she never got it.. she started harassing us and making everything a problem.. our suite 312 all of a sudden was not available but nobody checked in so I seen it back online tried to book it and all of a sudden it wasn't there again and nobody moved in it... I tried to move in a double deluxe which was available online even paid for it but all of a sudden it was not available... she stalked my sister's room claiming too much in and out .. didnt realize we was restricted on guest or going in and out.. we smoke cigarettes we have to go outside to smoke.. then today she would not let me extended my rooms with no reason given... this is a judgemental lady rude and bad people skills... I'm very unhappy about my stay and service and would appreciate some kind of apology or something for the level of disrespect I was given at this hotel..

We have stayed about 5 times now. I should have posted sooner.We were looking for a place that did not have odors and fumes from Ammonium Chloride cleaners and locked windows . This is perfect. We travel through Tallahassee 4 times a year usually and they welcome us as if it is home.. Beds are wonderful. No elevators, ice machines and loud noises or stomping above. They also offer Gift Certicates for purchase. Check them out . The breakfasts are continental and serve yourself. Tracy provides an assortment of items. coffee, juice , milk pastries, fruit yogurt oatmeal, toast, hard boiled eggs, and a few others. The garden and enclosed sun room call to me every time we stay. They have their own website thelittleenglishguesthouse.com,which offers some information and you can message them any concerns or questions about their accommodations and they will answer reasonably quickly. I believe there is a phone number as well. You will be speaking to the owner and not a hotel clerk. I was comfortable believing that I would not end up in a room full of fumes because I have respiratory issues. Sleep well.

Right now it's about the unspoken facts that tell a better story. Are they really on their A-Game? From intial contact at this hotel asking if we could check in an hour early (couldn't because no rooms were available or clean) to the final conversation with management it was obvious coronavirus was not the highest priority for this hotel. There was the small stuff... first impressions being everything, yet trash was running over at the hotel front entrance. The pretty important... hand sanitizer stations at elevators not working ( red light clearly blinking). Informed front desk- during my stay no action taken. To the downright unforgivable. Open, eaten from, food containers left in the fridge from previous room occupants The worst. Management was not willing to take accountability. Felt like they are short staffed since management said both her and GM were performing room cleaning duties. She stated the food was not in my room when she checked the room. So she means I'm lying? Items in room were from a grocery store we never visited. We spent over 20 in snacks at the hotel convenience store and ordered over a hundred from local restaurants just for one night. Why would we waste so much at overpriced hotel convenience store items if we had gone to a real store? When I asked who had last cleaned our room manager stated she hadn't cleaned rooms in a week and something similar with her GM. That left a cleaning crew of two people cleaning an entire hotel, lobby and 88 rooms. Calculating number of rooms staff members can clean (roughly) in an eight hour would be 9 departure rooms or 13 stayovers. Including time to prepare their trolleys based on the cleaning sheet they take and another 15 min to tidy their trolleys when they finish, allow 15 min extra for morning briefing. Remember they had no rooms for us to check into early so rooms are dirty. How can a manager and a district manager clean rooms, laundry and be focused on thier own duties during this critical time? Finally, can't help but question is there an obvious commitment to hygiene? I say NO. Can you find hand sanitizers in the public ? Yes, but not working. Do a visual inspection, and it looks clean? No, trash running over outside. Partially eaten food left in room fridge. L

First of all, I do not typically write reviews: rarely, if ever, for a bad experience; more likely to leave a review for a good/great experience. The staff here was polite and efficient, even the desk clerk eating his breakfast while he checked me out the next morning. I only stayed one night with my son and a friend, in town for a funeral. I won't ever stay here again. The room was just above terrible, and was incredibly old and and of date. The drywall texture was very heavy and straight out of the 1970's. The colors were horrible. The carpets were worn, frayed, mis-matched, stained and looked . . . dirty. The tile at the "kitchenette" was broken and cracked, and the transition strips were too short, missing and/or broken. The room smelled musty and moldy. I am a Project Manager for a disaster restoration contractor, so I speak with some experience and authority on this issue. The HVAC unit smelled as if it had not been cleaned in a couple of decades, and could barely cool the room, with it set to 66 and on HIGH. The lighting was poor. Had I even been inclined to use the jacuzzi tub for a bath (fortunately, I only took a shower), I most likely would have been appalled at what might have come out of the jets. The refrigerator door was completely rusted through on the bottom edge. The room needed a complete and total deep clean at a bare minimum. Had I been able to find another room in Tallahassee, I would have demanded a full refund and gone somewhere else, but due to FSU and FAMU having home games this weekend, that was not really an option. I have been a Choice rewards member for several years,and have stayed at number of their different properties. This room was absolutely the most pathetic I have ever seen, and is an absolute embarrassment to the Choice Hotels brand. The entire hotel needs to be closed and the property need to be completely repositioned, with an entire update of every finish, appliance, and component. Had I not been just a couple of months out from shoulder surgery, I would have slept in my truck, instead of this room. Yes it was that bad. The only reason it got one star, is because zero stars is not an option.
