Not bad, there are supermarkets nearby and many restaurants where you can simply eat. A little farther, taxis are required to enter and leave the city.

This is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. This place has, hands down, the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. All the staff is fantastic and accommodating, but I’d like to recognize Ms. Marie the lady at the front desk for yet the second time I visited, and boy was I happy to see her. Ms. Marie makes it her priority to see that the guests are all taken care of and have the best experience at the hotel, because of this we came back for the second time but definitely not the last time!!! Way to go Fairfield Inn & Suites you genuinely are a five-star hotel, and if I could give you ten stars I would! Thank you for making my experience with you all so great and memorable.

I enjoyed the stay here. The utensils and dishes are often hard to get enough of. For example, I wanted some forks, but they were out. They had plenty of dishes for me to use, and I had brought along a spoon, so I ate with the spoon I brought with me. Otherwise the rooms are adequate to move around, and the queen size bed was firm and comfortable. There are three pillows of various firmness and thickness, so should suit most people. The breakfast is paltry, only consists of instant oatmeal and granola bars. There is plenty of coffee. Once coffee ran out, so I notified the management, and they started a new batch right away. Per posted policy, they don't clean the room if staying less than a week.

Stayed here for one night before leaving early the next morning to run a race in the city. Super conveniently located right off the highway. Room was nice, although it felt like a lot of the bathroom got looked over in the remodel (shower looked worse for wear, but I appreciated the backlit mirror). They did offer free breakfast, but left too early to check it out. Overall, a much nicer Comfort Inn than many I've stayed at. Only thing that annoyed me was my check in experience: I asked about late check out if need be and was told there would be a charge for every hour (which should not be the case, as a rewards member).

Ctrip booked two double-bed rooms, ready to check in at the front desk, and only one double bed was answered. The Ctrip customer service was always busy. Later, a customer service called me to talk to the hotel front desk and gave them to the hotel. After a confirmation code inside, the hotel found another section of the department, or a double bed. The customer service phone changed the hotel front desk to a large bed. The front desk refused, said it could not be changed, and finally had to wait for Ctrip to negotiate, about an hour before and after. Finally, I went to the hotel on-duty manager to explain the situation before I was able to check in. I got my room card at 8:50 pm and 10:00 pm. After a long day of fatigue, it was a bit ugly to encounter this. The location is relatively close and the price is relatively cheap. After all, Hilton is a big name, but this type of hotel has to charge and expensive for breakfast. I still think that holiday inn and crown plaza are better and cost-effective.

The suite is large in size, the bedroom has a door, the living room also has a double bed for friends, the kitchen is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, it is equipped with four sets of tableware, and there is a dishwasher, which is very suitable for family trips. The quality of the suites of the Homewood series under the Hilton brand lived on this journey is very satisfactory, and the cost performance is high!

What great one night stay! Just a few easy miles to Arlington National Cemetery. Also very good restaurants a short drive away. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Great options for a hot breakfast. The fitness room had updated equipment and everything I needed for a good workout. Best of all was the friendly and helpful employees from the desk staff to housekeeping and breakfast staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviews are accurate. Service is better than St. Regis DC. Sam and his staff did all things as noted in previous reviews. This is especially incredible since they were full and busy with a wedding the night we stayed. It was enjoyable to see all the staff interact together as a team and that positive energetic team spirit is reflected in the overall experience. This part of review is for platinum titanium members: It's nice that the experience and amenities was the same high level experience for all guests. They did give us a nice extra welcome gift, I think, but it felt like it was just part of the overall experience.

No microwave in a suite, had to go all the way lobby to heat something up, never had to do that before. $26 dollars a day, never had to do that before, and there is no alternative parking that I could see. So keep that in mind for additional cost, again I blame my self for not fully reading everything about property. Furniture was worn, definitely time to replace a few things. Everything looked good when I first arrived, which was at night, but with everything next morning and add some light, perspective changed. The food, for the price, the quality and the portions. Better off swinging by a McDonalds. Fries, over cooked and hard, shouldn’t have even made it out the kitchen. Chicken not fully cooked, potato’s on entrée under cooked, or maybe that’s how they were supposed to be. The portion wouldn’t even feeler a 2 month old if they where eating solid food and that’s and understatement, seriously. I really wish I would have taken pictures of that mess or $50.00. Over, Over priced and that’s excluding anything to drink.

We were concluding a week long trip to the East coast from various places in New York and Pennsylvania, and we stayed here on Thursday Night, December 30 due to a very early morning flight from DCA. We checked in at about 4:45PM. The front desk person who checked us in was very friendly and took care of answering any questions that we had. I booked a one night only stay on Points. I cannot comment on breakfast, as we left too early. I also cannot comment on the fitness center. The parking was plentiful with both outdoor and under cover parking. Parking is free at this property. We had Room 404 on the 4th Floor. Overall, it was a nice room. It was just for two people, so we didn't have to use the pull out or trundle bed. The room was very spacious with a desk, couch, table, little convenience center with coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator. The King Bed didn't seem like a King bed; however, I definitely could be wrong. The bathroom was split up so that the toilet was in one room with a very small sink and the other half of the bathroom had the full sink and shower. I liked this setup. The only issue I had was that at about 1am, the air conditioner/heating unit started making a very annoying noise that continued throughout the night. I would have asked to move; however, I had less than three hours of sleep left. I am sure if I would visit again, it would probably be a five star stay.

Extremely clean, very accommodating and friendly staff, excellent breakfast with large variety of choices. Only a couple of blocks to the Metrorail which we used to get into and back out of DC, and I would strongly recommend this! Also within walking distance of several restaurants and shops in Old Town Alexandria. Felt safe as well. On-site parking for $40 daily was awesome, as we didn’t have to move our vehicle 3 days while we were there. Whole Foods within a block or two for snacks. We definitely weren’t prepared for the amount of walking that we did around DC. I think we could have utilized the Metro even better than we did, as there are different colored lines. Blue and yellow lines are strategic for right around the heart of DC. Definitely worth it, and not costly for a 3 day pass.

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites Alexandria on 2 separate occasions in July and August. The hotel is convenieltny located in Alexandria and a short drive to all of the DC landmarks and the National Harbor. I had a suite with 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa, The room also had a desk, refrigerator and microwave. The hotel provided plenty of FREE parking along with a complimentary laundry room. The breakfast was also a plus with the option of scramble or hard boiled eggs, bacon, bagels, juices, cereal and fresh fruit. The staff was polite and the hotel was well maintained. I visited with family on a business trip that was extended during my stay. I had to book extra days and the hotel was unable to accommodate me for the extra days. If you think you need to extend, book in advance because they will not make any exceptions. I was there for almost 2 weeks and an additional 2 days could not be accommodated. Other than that mishap on my end I would stay there again.

On an individual basis, the staff at The Lorien were lovely and very friendly. There just weren't enough of them to provide adequate service. Upon check-in, there was no one at the front desk except an employee from housekeeping. He told me he was not qualified/allowed to check me into my room. Nor was there anyone at the valet area to park my car. I pulled further down and paid to park at the meter, then dragged my luggage back to the lobby. 30 minutes later, an appropriate staff member was able to check me in to my room. I told him I felt I should get free valet parking or something similar to make up for the sub-par check in at The Lorien. The staff member couldn't authorize this, but told me I could speak with the manager the following day. I did speak with the manager the next day. She was sympathetic after hearing about the night before, and promised to" take care of me." It was my fault for not specifically asking what she meant by this, but I hoped for a discount or comp of some sort. I did not ever receive one. The Lorien Terrace Suites are beautiful . However the furniture cushions on the room's terrace were discolored and very wet. If someone had stored the cushions in a covered area during the rain, I would have been able to enjoy the area. Though I dragged the cushions off the furniture and into the sunshine, they remained unusable until the last day. Additionally, there are no physical barriers between the patios. As such, I felt like an awkward party crasher during the small birthday party on the terrace next to mine (when the cushions were finally dry). Finally, the $25 a night "amenity fee" is ridiculous, as the amenities (daily water bottes, room service, spa steam room, bikes) were not available. You are allowed a visit from housekeeping on the third day of your stay, but when I called at noon, there was no one available to clean the room. I asked for fresh towels and a new duvet instead. The towels were delivered, as was a duvet cover( with no comforter inside of it). I made the bed myself, really unacceptable at this price point. Oh, and the toilet did not flush completely. I tried to fix it, but after lifting the tank and fixing the slack in the chain a few times, I asked for help from the front desk. Phew. My final recommendation: say elsewhere.

I visited this hotel earlier last year (august, 2020). And this is a very nice hotel. I would encourage any person looking for a nice hotel to stay in while they're in town to choose this one! Wonderful staff. Very well kept up and clean! Nice big hotel as well. Rooms are nice size and I still keep raving to people about the stand up shower lol! Very clean and smelled nice. Hotel room was updated for sure! The t.v. is a very large nice size. The view was nice as mine was looking towards freeway exit! I was second to the top floor. I will be glad to consider this hotel when I'm in town again!

In the midst of a road trip from Boston to Miami, I found myself headed straight into a big winter storm around the DC area and needed a safe, cozy spot to rest for the night that wasn’t too far from I95. The staff was so lovely and inviting here and the hotel restaurant was SO DELISH and just what I needed after 2 days of driving and fast food. The beds are also super comfy. I had one of the best nights of sleep ever here. There is a parking garage conveniently located right across the street and believe the hotel does valet as well if needed. Old Town is adorable and if it was t blizzard IG outside during myself, I would have loved to explore the gorgeous Virginia waterfront.

We stayed here for a few nights and were very pleased with the location, which was easy to find from the train station. It's basically the tallest building around or one of them anyway, so it was very visible and a short easy walk of a couple blocks. The room was good sized with comfortable beds and a mini frig. One thing that could be slightly better is the outlet contacts on the electrical outlet on the bathroom side of the bed (room 820) are worn out: they still charge but a plug-in will fall out of them at the slightest bump. If they can replace that, it should be an easy fix that a lot of people will appreciate because it's the most convenient outlet to charge your phone from. As far as everything else, it was quiet and comfortable and we had plenty of hot water with good pressure for a shower. The room was very clean thanks to Veronica in housekeeping, and Nina K at the front desk was amazing!!! She was so helpful with questions I had about public transportation and she helped me print my boarding passes out at an ungodly early hour of the day, so thanks Nina for that! I was glad we chose the Carlyle and I will definitely recommend it to others.
