Stayed here after a driving trip to Europe, hotel was easy to find and as out of season we were able to park in one of the limited hotel spaces with no charge. Warmly met on arrival by nice man who checked us in with ease and explained more about the local area, was nice to get a Davos card providing us free transport on the buses and lifts, which we used and he gave us a great map which came in handy. We even took his helpful advice about restaurants to eat at that night and this was spot on.The hotel had just reopened for the Summer season so was really quiet, as was the whole town. Whilst our room was small, we did have 1 large case and a smaller case, we would have struggled with storage if we were here any longer than 1 night, the room was nicely appointed and furnished and the bathroom yes small was really clean and looked newly refurbushed. The rooms has all electrics controlled by a touch screen panel which we both struggled to work out, but i can see this modern technology would be useful and a panel at either side of the bed and in the bathroom meant you never had to hunt for the light switch. Hotel is literally a 1 min walk to local bus stop which services lots of Davos and a 5 min walk into the town, there are also supermarkets by the bus stop. Quiet nights sleep, i found the bed too hard but my husband loved it - so thats just personal taste. Great breakfast nice fresh bread and criossants which were yummy - we were glad to have stayed here and the hosts were really welcoming and friendly couldnt fault the hotel.

The location is great: only a short walk to the slopes and on the busy main street with plenty of shops, restaurants etc! If you like clubbing you got the nightclub downstairs as well. The room we were in was a lil outdated but that was ok. We had two bathrooms, one with a shower the other one with a bathtub. We really liked the nightly sweets on our beds that awaited us when we came back to our rooms in the evening, nice gesture! The goal must be to have returning guests though and unfortunately after our stay I’m not keen on staying at this hotel again. 1. We travelled with our dog and kid. We payed 20chf/day for our dog; no dog bowl, no dog blanket nothing. Now that would be a point to make a difference (what does it cost to buy 10 dog bowls or dog blankets? The hotel can use those for years but would make the dogs feel welcome too!) 2. Our kid got sick one night. I had to change the blankets at 3am took towels and made his bed with towels instead of sheets cause obvi that’s what you do if you have no sheets. The blanket had to go too. We thought it was obvious and they would make the bed the next day. To our surprise the staff didn’t put new sheets on nor bring a new blanket... we got home at 11pm so nobody was available anymore to bring a blanket or new sheets and our son had to sleep on towels again with towels as a blanket too. Totally doable but not expecting this at the prize we payed to stay there. 3. Breakfast ended at 10:30am every day...at exactly 10:30 they started putting stuff away. This one time there was only 1 kind of bread left at 10am!!!!! I asked for different bread but got told that this is the only bread they have left... everything else was gone... hmm... not exactly what I expect from a 4* Hotel neither. 4. We asked for a calm room (knowing the club is downstairs) so we were in the back of the hotel. Room was quiet but the baby bet wasn’t put up (we mentioned the kid in the booking!) so I called if they could bring it upstairs. We were gone for 3-4h and the baby bed was in front of our room...folded and sheets next to it. Had to do it all ourselves, which once again is doable but not expected if you stay in a 4* hotel especially if I have to put all the sheets in myself as well. Like I said: location is great but you d need to go the extra mile to be better than the rest.

We enjoyed our stay in the heart of downtown Davos this summer at the Morosani. We were able to walk or bus easily to just about anything we wanted to see or do which was wonderful. Our room was a two room corner suite with a huge wrap around patio. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms were superb as was the daily breakfast in their beautiful dining room. We hope to stay at this property again in the near future. The only practices that I wish they would reconsider, as they are unusual to just about every hotel I have ever stayed at, is removing the surcharge on credit card payments and charging a fairly hefty fee if you fail to return your plastic room key at the end of your stay. That last one left us scratching our heads.

We stayed here for 4 nights post-Christmas. Since we flew into MXP from the US and took a car service out to Davos, we arrived at the hotel around 11am. The super helpful front desk could see that the kids were exhausted and rushed getting the assigned room cleaned immediately and enabled us to check-in early. We saw the same level of high customer service from all the hotel staff during the visit. Pros: - location is great. 2 min walk to the main Promenade where you will find restaurants, banks, public bus stop, grocery stores, etc. - massive variety for the breakfast buffet (no extra charge for hotel guests), that includes an omelet station. They bake the pastries and breads on premise and serve warm - we ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was probably the best meal we had in Davos. The price was roughly similar to our other dinners in Davos (sfr 50 per person) - can buy ski passes at the front desk for the same price as at the resort ticket windows - super convenient since the resort ticket windows are super long - reasonably priced ski rentals on premise, which makes it very convenient as well - ski locker room (including heated boot racks) with a doorway right onto the shuttle parking - ski shuttle every 30 min that drops you right off at the gondola entrance at the ski resorts (very little walking needed) - rotating apres ski snack daily (crepes, fresh baked cakes, oysters, etc), which is something that the kids looked forward to every afternoon - hotel rooms are simple, spacious enough, have plenty of amenities, and most importantly, VERY CLEAN. They restock the complimentary room mini bar daily, which includes sodas, waters and beers - we didn’t use it but the spa is apparently one of the best in Davos - the entire cost of our hotel bill was a great value by American ski resort standards. We have stayed at far more expensive hotels with 1/2 the service that we received at Sunstar The hotel is a 4-star due to the simple decorations and does not have a luxurious ambiance. However, it was a 5-star experience for our family and we highly recommend to anyone looking for clean, convenient and great value!

We love the warm welcome we receive when we return to the Grischa. I am not sure if they remember us from the last time we stayed there, but it always feels like they do. :) A lovely touch is the complimentary welcome drink. After a long drive up it's nice to relax in the bar with a glass of wine. The hotel is very clean and stylish and located just across from the Davos Platz train station. We love all of the restaurants, especially the Golden Dragon for Chinese food. You cannot go wrong with staying at the Grischa. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

These 2 bedroom apartments are located next to the hotel. They have a lovey view of the mountains and village area and are central to shops and restaurants. The actual apartments does not get serviced unless you request and pay extra. The beds were very comfortable even the 2 extra pull out beds in the living room. Very roomy for 6 people. Decor could be updated but was ok. The one thing I disliked was that the kitchen did not have basics like salt, sugar, tea, coffee etc. also no shampoo and not enough toilet paper supplied. It’s all small things but after a long journey there, it was frustrating having to go to the supermarket to buy large quantities of these things to just leave them behind. It would really cost the hotel peanuts to supply these things and make it a much nicer stay for the guests.

Very friendly and excecutive staff the whole time. I draw a car to Davos and got a good parking place. Room was clean, cozy and quiet. Internet connection works perfect without interruption. We got a DKCard, a ticket for local transportation, Skilift, funicular and more for our stage in the hotel. Breakfast is outstanding with scrambled eggs, many varieties of cheese, wurst, fresh fruits etc. Is just a ten minute walk from Davos Plazt train station away. Is an excelent choise.

I really wish I wasn't staying just one night. This hotel is everything I could wish for on a motorcycle tour. Our arrival was late (21.30) and it was cold and wet outside with some snow falling, but we were warmly welcomed into a gorgeous cosy reception area. The hotel is run by people who clearly have a passion for this business. Everywhere is immaculately clean, almost to the point of seeming like it is brand new. Gorgeous panelled walls and ceilings make the lounge, bar and dining areas feel warm and comfortable. The bedrooms (I stayed in a single room) are warm and with plenty of room for me to open all of my luggage and also dry out some very damp gear. I had a much-needed great sleep on the large bed, and then had an amazing breakfast with such a huge selection of goodies I can't list them here. I started with the homemade muesli which was delicious, and finished up with a couple of fresh golden yolked boiled eggs, with more than I'm prepared to admit to in between. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for any purpose. I was travelling inter-season but I can imagine it is as perfect for mid-winter stays as it is for summer.

Everything was perfect. The room was huge (an appartament of arround 60m2) and with a very nice balcony. Very clean and a consistent breakfast buffet. It was also very central and moreover, in the price was included the "Davos card" which allowed us to use any bus and some cable cars for free. The bus station is exactly at the hotel door. Also, there was everything needed for using the sauna and the swimming pool, which were having an amazing view on the mountains and Valiant arena. The staff was friendly and helpful. Surprisingly it was also an elevator...for cars. Although it was the middle of the summer it was quite cold (2 degrees Celsius) and the hotel didn't have central heating but overall was ok. Travelled to the intercontinental during the winter holidays in switzerland. Even thought the hotel was said to be pretty well booked it never felt crowded. The lounges and restaurants are very spacious. The terrace is sunny and has a beautiful view over davos. The food was beyond our expectations. We ate at al pino and at capricorn. If you are there for the brazilian bbq buffet, don’t miss it. The food was exceptional. The breakfast buffet offered everything one could wish for with freshly cooked options served. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. There is nothing we could fault. Our club room was on the 7th floor with a view towards davos. I would recommend a room with a view towards davos. The balcony was very sunny in the afternoon. The room was spacious an well appointed. Due to the pandemic the spa had to be prebooked and only allowed 15p at a time. We were able to spend an hour in the pool and an hour in the saunas which was more than enough to relax. The hotel is located slightly outside the center. Lake davos is a short walk away. A cross country piste runs right past the hotel. There is a regular shuttle service to and from davos center making it easy to reach the cable cars and the town center. We loved our stay and will certainly return!

My family and I stayed at the Ameron Davos over the New Years holiday, along with a group of 3 other families. Unfortunately, what the Ameron Davos lacks, besides the painful inability to split bills in the restaurant and bar, is honesty and carrying through quality customer service all the way to the checkout. I would be writing a glowing review had it not been for the dishonesty with billing and hiding behind a series of disappointing mistakes, which completely soured the otherwise enjoyable stay. The amenities are top-rate but they do not make up for terrible lack of customer service by the management. Our family was grossly overcharged during a New Years Eve dinner, which only became evident after we’d been asked to sign for on the evening. Because we were a party of 4 families, we believed that the drinks bill had been split evenly amongst us, but came to find out later that we’d been charged for “welcome drinks,” and had been up-charged for incorrect vintages of wine ordered. Once we brought this to their attention, we were told they would “do their best” to sort it out and this was then volleyed from one person to the next, with no resolution. Fast forward to check-out, and once again when it was questioned at check-out, we were told that no manager was available to discuss and we would need to follow up later - which, due to our departure time, was not possible to wait around for a manager to show up. So, we then had to follow up via email and phone calls for a period of 3 weeks! And the “best” that they could do was offer a voucher to use at a future visit - for a sum that did not even come close to what we were overcharged. The management was unable to explain why we were overcharged, has yet to provide documentation breaking down the charges and where they came from and have been completely unreasonable during this entire process. Not only were we overcharged, but the other families in our party were too - the only difference is that they had a manager to speak with at check-out, and we did not. The inability to treat guests with respect and honesty in this establishment - especially during COVID times - is appalling, and therefore, we would NOT recommend staying at the Ameron Davos.

Overall good hotel for summer stay in Davos. OK location in town with friendly staff and great value in town. Everything was clean and had good quality. Hotel LOCATION in the center of Davos directly across the convention center. Everything in town was just a short walk away. Non-smoking King ROOM with courtyard view was very clean and had cozy and modern decoration and furniture. The room size was perfect and arranged very nicely. The room didn’t offer any special views on the lake or mountains due to the location of the hotel. Go somewhere else, if you come for views (or simply go to the mountains). The room had floor to ceiling windows and was very light. The hotel is quite new and in very good shape. The minibar was empty, which gave us a full fridge to use for our personal stuff. I personally prefer this over a in-room mini bar. Room was equipped with LCD TV, ironing board, desk and chair plus relax chair. Bathroom was with new decoration, clean equipped with an half open shower. This looked modern but unfortunately taking a shower got the whole room wet. A/C worked nicely. The highlight of the room was the balcony, which I believe is available for all rooms. The window could be opened completely in order to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Hotel STAFF was very friendly and helpful. Our wishes for room with some view couldn’t be fulfilled, because the hotel was fully booked. The hotel does currently not offer housekeeping unless requested. We did request some housekeeping and the job was done well. Staff also made sure that COVID measures were taken seriously. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was good. Most items like cut meats, cheese and fruit were on buffet and specially wrapped. FITNESS CENTER Fitness Center was well equipped with machines and free weights, etc. It was very quiet. We didn’t use the RESTAURANT and BAR but many other guests did. It seemed fine. PRICE is a good deal compared to the other options in town. You get a robust hotel for your money. PARKING in the open hotel parking lot is CHF 18 a night. Unfortunately the parking was taken. Right in front of the hotel is a Public parking lot, which is free after 18:00 in the summer and costs CHF1/hour or CHF 10 for the day. Sunday’s are cheaper. The value of Hilton Honors points at this location is poor with 0,29 EUR cents per point. Silber / GOLD / Diamond member benefits Gold status was honored with usual benefits at a Garden Inn. The water bottles were provided. WiFi was free and with fair quality. digital check-in was not available. We didn’t need late check-out but would have probably gotten it. Free breakfast was ok. The hotel does not have an executive lounge and free drinks vouchers were not offered.

I read a number of rather low reviews and am a bit perplexed. Meierhof is a clean, well-situated Swiss mountain hotel, not a 5-star fussy Four Seasons. There are not tons of porters, nor extensive business facilities. But it is not billed as that. It is perfectly comfortable, with a fine morning breakfast and bar area in the evenings. We were visiting last week for a large annual economic conference and the town was basically commandeered for the event. Despite the deluge of foreigners, the staff at Hotel Meierhof remained professional, composed, and efficient. The bar area was swamped in the evenings - i found it difficult to flag a bartender to order a drink to take up to my room; but as noted, the town was very crowded for the week and staff did its best. Location is terrific, right on the main Prominade near local grocery stores, shops, easy walking to local x-country ski trails, and Lake Davos (which would be nice in the Spring/Summer; I was here in January and told the lake is drained in winter). All in all thumbs up for Meierhof.

After 30 years I wanted to come back to Davos. As everything is closed all around Europe, from Lugano we had just a 2 hours drive to come to Davos. As a German, grown up with Steigenberger hotels the choice has been easy. The Belvedere is just great. We wanted to stay 1 week and we are already stay more than 2 weeks here. Perfekt the superior room 321 with the view to the village, the church, the mountains and tonight the full moon over the mountains, the mountains that Ludwig Kirchner painted to geniously in his art works. The museum of Ludiwig Kirchner is just in front of the hotel. Beside the elegant architecture, the food is perfect. It starts from a healthy, tasty, various breakfast, that includes whatever you desire. Marco takes care to prepare you a delicous omlett. For the dinner you can chose a fine dine menu or a la carte. Desserts are just heaven. I forgot the cocktails are great. The elegant ladies and gentlemen at the reception are always friendly and helpful, so is the team of the shuttle service. The swimming pool and SPA is very well equipped. But the most important thing is, that you feel safe!!!! Everybody puts on the mask, distance is respected everywhere, disinfection dispencers and masks you can find at all corners, Teh direction of the hotel cannot do more for the healthy concept! Since some days we have also piano bar! I know I have the privilege to enjoy the mountains, Many people cannot do it and <i feel really sorry for them. But I wish that the nightmare will finish for us all soon!

I stayed here at the Davos Youth Hostel (Youth Palace) for a few days during early December. Even before I stepped foot on this property, Barbara at the Zurich headquarters and Frau Wyrsch (Regional Mgr.) made all efforts beforehand to make sure my stay at the Davos property would be relaxing and enjoyable. The Davos hostel was running a special early winter season offer that included accommodations and train travel to & from their property. Upon arrival in town with the train, I would suggest exiting the train at Davos Dorf. Exit the station and cross the street to the bus stop in front of the sport store (Steiner Sport). Take bus #1, #3, or #4, three stops to Shiabach. Walk back one block and up Horlaubenstrasse (another 5 min) to the youth hostel. The hostel has a total of 235 beds (shared and family rooms) and was formally a sanitarium (just as their property in Crans-Montana, which I have visited as well). It was the really, really low off season with only a hand-full of guests staying at the property during my stay. I actually walked from Davos Dorf train station to the hostel which is pretty easy and more maneuverable as to exiting at Davos Platz, which is more of a gradual uphill walk. Staff 4* I arrived early on the morning of my check-in intending to check my bag until the check-in time later in the afternoon, but staff person, Thomas, was very nice during my stay and actually immediately checked me into my room. Room 5* My shared four-bunk room was very comfortable. There were so few people in the hostel; I actually had the room to myself during my entire stay. The room has its own shower, toilet, sink, 2Euro large refund deposit lockers, an old time shelf radio, work desk with two chairs, and balcony with relaxing chairs over-looking downtown and the mountains. Above each bed is reading light and box which opens for night storage for eyeglasses or personal items. The bedding was provided and the bed already made. A towel was provided for each bunk. Across the hallway were shared toilets and bathtubs with showers. Services 5* The Youth Palace offers many items to keep you busy when hangin’ out on the hostel. In the lobby area, there is a kid’s corner, exchange book shelf, and tables. At the other end of the lobby past the long sofa, there is another lounging room with padded chairs, pool table, pinball, table fussball, darts and another game. There is a currency change machine for coins in the corner. There is also a resource room full of brochures of the region. There is a table tennis room in the basement. A sundeck is located on west side of the building (a bit of rust on the roof) and a rooftop terrace. There is also an outdoor play area for kids and the building has an elevator. Breakfast 5* Breakfast was included in the rate and very, very good. There was a large seating room with an adjacent extra overflow room. An assortment of breads (one morning fresh croissants), hot beverage machine, tea available 24/

This is a charming family run hotel. It is clean, food is excellent and the staff are a lot of fun. The restaurant and bar are frequented by locals which speaks to the authenticity of the place. One draw, is the owner Hans Fopp. A talented chef, light hearted and charming host, he keeps the place hopping. Probably his wife Martina keeps it running but the combination is fabulous. Having stayed previously at the 5 star Seehof Hotel and also the Hilton Garden Inn both in Davos, I was pleasantly surprised by cleanliness, friendliness and value for money at the Hotel Dischma. Our room with rear balcony (best views) was well decorated and clean with en suite shower. The bed was comfortable and made up nicely each day and the room was cleaned and tidied to a good standard. Breakfast was standard continental but there was more than enough to get the day started and great fun was had with opening up our boiled eggs with the hotels ‘special’ egg cutter - in fact I’m getting one for myself to use at home. We used the restaurant twice and enjoyed our choices of food and the ambience.

I stayed in a single room for five days while attending the Polar 2018 conference in Davos. The stay was super comfortable. The room was big enough to sleep two comfortably. The attached bathroom was cozy with wooden panel roof, and a slate floor. Very airy and bright room with a wide window and good quality curtains to block early monring light for the people who want to sleep late. There is a small table with outlets that could be used as a working desk. The wooden wardrobe has plenty of shelves, and hangers to organize clothes and such. The best amenity is the the spa! There are two types of dry sauna, one has the beautiful view of the mountains. There is an outdoor lounge area with comfortable chaise to relax after the sauna and steamroom. The train station and bus stop are directly across. Just a wonderful place to stay with all the amenities of a full service hotel-restaurant, breakfast, spa- in the swiss Alps without breaking the bank!

If you want to stay in a friendly, welcoming and exceptional hotel the Hotel Edelweiss is a must! From the minute we entered the front door to the minute we left, we felt welcome and well looked after. On arrival the receptionist was extremely polite and explained everything about the hotel and COVID regulations. Traveling during these challenging times is made easier when one knows that the Corona rules and regulations are applied and followed. We booked the superior room with balcony which was amazing! The beds are comfortable and you can ask for more pillows and/or blankets, if desired. I truly recommend this room category. I would also strongly recommend the half board option, you will not regret it. The evening meal, is a 3 course set meal. If you have any dietary requirements the hotel takes these into consideration, if notified in advance. The meals were exceptional, so good that I forgot to take a photo of the chocolate mousse desert. If you are traveling with your dog you will not be disappointed. I nearly did not book this hotel because dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, which is not an option for us because our dog is part of our family. The hotel offers pet owners the option to sit with their dog in the lobby, which was great and our waiter Rene made it feel special and was very attentive. I really hope that we get the chance to visit Davos again, and if we do, we will definitely return to this hotel.

I am surprised by the number of comments mentioning that this hotel does not deserve its 5 stars. There are obviously many much more luxurious hotels out there, but the Hotel Seehof definitely ticks all the boxes that you would expect from a 5-star, while being extremely attractively priced (by Swiss standards). The good parts: - Best location. Just by the Davos Dorf train station (and bus line 301), and by the P****nn Bahn - perfect for skiing in winter, and hiking in the summer - Spa is included, with all the essentials (mini thermal bath + sauna + hammam + gym) and free tea / snacks - Welcome drink (glass of prosecco) - Free minibar (snacks + drinks) - Fairly large room & bathroom, with high-quality toiletries (Molton Brown) - Very helpful and polite staff - Exceptional breakfast. The ingredients quality was extremely high (meat, fruits, cheeses) and the choice very large. This level of quality could never be found in a 4-star What could be better: - The building and interior still has some charm, but doesn't leave an impression either - The rooms are ok, but some elements could be refurbished and modernized (e.g., the TV furniture, the sink in the bathroom, the decoration). The heating was too strong and couldn't be reduced, and we could hear a lot of noise from the room above us due to poor sound isolation - Food is good and very well plated, but there was a bit of variability in the quality of dishes (e.g., the chicken was a bit dry without much taste, while some dishes were excellent) We went during Covid and everything was open, with hand sanitizers and masks available throughout the hotel The hotel is particularly attractive if you book directly from their website, take advantage of their "loyalty program discount" (you just need to register) and choose the half-board, which includes a 4-course dinner

After spending a week at this beautiful hotel, I am sharing this review to express my satisfacation with the service and amazing employees. Right from the start, we have been warmly greeted and welcomed by the front desk staff, who actually played a major role in making our stay memorable. Always ready for the small talk, assistance, help, advice. Special compliments for the Croatian ladies, Dijana and Hasena who fluently speak German. Reading other reviews of the German speaking guests stating that staff does not speak the language, I have to admit that I am a bit surprised since many of them do. Throughout our stay, Guzel was taking care that all of our needs and expectations are met, always present and attentive. Restaurant staff were very professional, willing to take an extra mile to help us out with our diet restrictions. Rooms are spotless, clean and bed is very comfortable. Compliments for the housekeeping ladies. Regarding Covid regulations, staff are paying much attention to it. Social distancing, masks while serving the food, as well as elsewhere in the facility. We felt safe! Location of the hotel is perfect, views beautiful. I want to thank to everyone who made our stay pleasant, and we will definitely come back next year again!
