The first thing you notice is how grand and spacious the hotel is when you enter. Soaring glass windows at the lounge and dining areas enable you to look down upon the bay and the port of Shimizu. If you are lucky, you might even spy the notoriously shy Mount Fuji in the distance. The reception staff are also very welcoming and friendly and ready to help. The rooms also echo the spacious design of the main lobby. Roomy and comfortable. Then you notice some strange design choices. The bathrooms are tiny in comparison to the rooms. Another thing is the main dining areas. The seating capacities of the Japanese restaurant and Western restaurant downstairs are so limited. If you are hoping to sit down for a meal onsite and did NOT make a reservation, good luck! You would have to drive down or call for delivery because there is no room service available either! During breakfast, you have to write your name down on a list and wait maybe 15 or 20 minutes before they allow you to enter and eat. It is puzzling why they devote such a small space in this huge hotel to the dining area! You have to drive up a long and winding road before you can reach the hotel. Without a car, you would have to rely on their shuttle bus service or take a taxi to reach the town below. On the other hand, I did like the free onsite parking!

Very standard single room, more than enough for a person to live, can see Mount Fuji outside the window, close to the subway station, but also includes breakfast, although simple, but full, very suitable for a person to travel alone

The room is relatively small, but it is enough. It is right next to Shizuoka Station. The shop in Figure 6 is a little further forward. It is very convenient to live next to the station, and it is quick to go everywhere. The hotel has breakfast, drink vouchers (a glass of wine), and a bathhouse voucher with a written spa. . . Not used to eating rice early in the morning, but fortunately, the curry can be served. You can see how helpless they are when they see a European and American couple staring at the food. The hotel also has a Chinese waiter. I encountered it when I bought Fuji Coke, and then everyone else is better at English. . . I did not find a self-service dry-cleaning machine. I like this. It is very Japanese. I have encountered it in other hotels. This seems to be the usual hotel's laundry service, but I do n’t like it. .

The accommodation itself has a water dispenser - soft drink - tea - coffee. Can eat 24 hours. There is a lift, the staff cannot speak English. But tried to communicate through a translation program If you go to Shizuoka again That means staying in this hotel

It’s quite convenient to walk around Shizuoka tram stop for about 15 minutes. If you come out to eat or eat, you have to go back to the tram station or go through the tram stop to the other side and it will be more prosperous! The hotel room is not as small as Tokyo, and the sanitation is clean. Only a little front desk clerk can only communicate in Japanese and can't speak English. So many aspects can only use international gestures.

The location is very good, there are convenience stores around, and walking near the station is very close, it can be said that shopping is convenient~ The service is warm and polite, the attitude is very good and very polite. The room is not very big, the Japanese rooms seem to be small, the health is very good and clean. Then go behind and there is a shopping mall. The next floor is the food layer. We are late in the evening. All the lunches and the cooked dishes are 50% off. The sashimi sea urchins and the Japanese materials are bought a bunch.

We had planned to stay for two nights (here for the Rugby World Cup) but Typhoon Hagibis set in and our flight home the next night was cancelled. We had booked a train out and a hotel in Tokyo but the trains were suspended. We were stuck! The hotel was very accommodating and we were able to extend for an extra night in the same room. As we couldn’t venture out, we dined in-house at ‘The Table’. I’m not a buffet fan but this was lovely. The drinks package is worth adding - unlimited wine (lots of options),beer and softs for 1700 Yen per person. The meal was very reasonable too. Before dinner we enjoyed lovely cocktails at ‘Email’ - the top floor bar. Great service and lovely drinks. Not cheap but we’d do it again. The location of the hotel is ideal - only a few mins walk from the train station. Fuji views are on offer from one side of the hotel but even if your room faces the other way, you can see it from the glass lifts or windows near the lifts. Great service, clean and well-equipped. Highly recommend. We would stay again.

If you want a hotel where you have shopping, eating and public transport at your fingertips this is the one for you. We loved it as we are middle aged and have a few mobility issues. The room was a good size and very clean, but pillows were small and not very comfortable. Breakfast was mainly japanese but there was enough western food to satisfy ( omellette, toast, sausage and fruit salad ) The shopping centre parallel to the hotel is fantastic with everything a tourist could possibly need or want to buy.The staff were lovely but language and information on local tourist attractions was lacking. but there are tourist information centres at most railway stations. Do go up to the 15th floor and if it's a clear day you will see mt fuji we did and it took our breath away.

I was travelling alone and stayed for 3 nights in mid-June. It was only a 5-minute walk from JR Shizuoka station and there was a 7-11 right next to the hotel. It's not a luxury hotel but the amenities offered in room made it a really good value for money. Plus, the room is spacious enough for me to open my baggage for packing and unpacking. If you look at other hotels in Japan at similar price, you can only rent very small rooms in which u can barely open your baggage wide for packing and arranging stuff. In regard to service, the front desk receptionists are very welcoming and speak quite good English (considering Shizuoka is not a popular tourism destination like Hokkaido, Tokyo). Tips for ladies: you may rent a Dyson hairdryer at 200yen per night or a hair styler (not sure the price). I will definitely travel to Shizuoka prefecture again and hopefully stay here for another couple of nights!

The service is very good, very welcoming, the location is great, there are AEON supermarkets, convenience stores, subway stations, and it is very convenient. The overall health is also good, the disadvantage is that the room is relatively small, so in downtown Japan.

I didn't chose the hotel but I loved it. Location was great, very convenient for the station, room was fine, front desk staff were kind and thoughtful. Enjoyed a better than average breakfast, included in the room rate. The whole experience was much more "boutique" than "chain" hotel. But the real glory of the place is the privileged access to the former daimyo's garden next door. Each morning at breakfast, the waitstaff encouraged me to step outside into the garden. On the third morning, I finally did it. What a lovely place! Japanese aesthetics at their best. And I had it all to myself. Would have been worth staying here just for the garden, but like I said, the hotel was good, too.

I stay here sometimes as we have a factory in town. It is a comfortable hotel. The rooms are a little small by western standards but normal for Japan and comfortable. Once, I had an issue with the air conditioning (I struggle in the heat/humidity). It was dealt with quickly and professionally. When they couldn’t get it working right away they moved me straight into a room with ice cold AC. Good customer service I thought. If the problem can’t be solved immediately, making the customer comfortable seems to be the priority. The area is pleasant and just what you’d imagine a Japanese fishing port to be like. However, there may not be enough to keep tourists entertained for more than 3 or 4 days.
