18.89km from Nazarpur Bus StopHotel Midland in Ujjain is a centrally located hotel near the main bazaar area (Sadar Bazaar). By this, I did not mean to say it is either closer to the main temple complex, for which you would most likely be visiting Ujjain, nor it is easy to find.In fact, they send their e-auto to pick you up at railway station (free pick up service), which is good for them, otherwise you will not find the hotel easily. It is located on really narrow lane which can be reached through another small street, off the main street. However, one can walk from sadar bazar and reach hotel in less than five minutes. Similarly, it is not the closest to the Mahakal temple and other temples nearby, but one can walk to the temple if one wishes to in 15 minutes at most. Another local temple - Gopal temple is very close by. The rooms are quite compact, not leaving much space to even keep the luggage. Some rooms do not have any ventilation, while others have a balcony which is shared between two neighbouring rooms. The rooms and bathrooms are reasonably clean, however, linen could be cleaned better. There is some rattling sound from the false-ceiling (like rat or something else), but since it is fairly new interiors, it didn't pose much problem. The staff is usually very friendly. The ***ager at the desk during the day is helpful. Further, they serve one free tea and fixed breakfast (of plate of poha and a sandwich) in morning but does not have any other catering service. They do not allow food inside the rooms and however, the rooms are quite small to ***age to eat inside. Though, there are a few options near the hotel, and near the temple complex, all serving good and affordable food. Hence staying in the hotel is surely fine and safe too for families. It is surely a place one can stay, if walking a bit is not a problem, though one may find similar properties and price range elsewhere closer to the temples too, since Ujjain has ***y options, mostly quite affordable. Apart from railway pick up, they also provide free drop to Mahakal temple, especially in the early morning or Bhasmarti time, this is very helpful. While dropping back to railway station, the service is chargeable, yet it is reasonable.
