The booked big bed room has become a standard room. It doesn't matter because it is a transfer night! The front desk of the hotel was very warm, although it was a little problem, but with the help of Ctrip, it was solved quickly! The hotel is very simple, simple, cool! The facilities in the room are basically complete, but there is no toothbrush. It is good to bring it. After getting up in the morning, I found that the passengers are basically European and American passengers. Two swimming pools, one is attached to the lagoon, the scenery is good! Breakfast was good, because I only stayed in Sri Lanka for one night, so there is no comparison with other hotels! The view is really good!

Stunning audience! The hotel is surrounded by rough seas and calm and beautiful lagoons. The 100-meter swimming pool is invincible, and those who like swimming must not miss it! The gym is well equipped ... There is also a small pool by the sea, and the photos are beautiful. The downside is that there are so many mosquitoes in the hotel, but there is no effective way to deal with it ... bite a half dead at dinner ... There are also a lot of mosquitoes in the room, toilets and showers are outdoors, squatting a toilet can bite a bag ... It is recommended that the compatriots who check in are prepared in advance Mosquito repellent supplies. In addition, rooms with breakfast are not recommended ... Breakfast is not a buffet, and the variety is rarely cost-effective ... The hotel is a half-hour drive from the airport and Rs 500 for a 20-minute train station ...

I visited Nico's lagoon in Feb 2020 with my friends. I can't say it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious and basic amenities were available, satisfactory for a budget hotel. Dialog TV was not working. But things start going downhill after that. Food was below average and portion size was too small. Sides mentioned in the menu was not available. For example Nasi Goorang had chicken kebab which we never received. The staff was not friendly at all and the service is horrible. Didn't see a single smile for whole two days. They treated as bunch of prisoners and imposed so many regulations like can't take food into rooms, can't serve bed tea to room etc. Basically we couldn't wait to check out. When we requested 2 fresh milk cups, the waiter said he needs take managers approval first. We were not even given enough water glasses, just 3 glasses for 10 guests. We are sure that, all this was because we are locals. knowing how some locals behave, we don't mind few rules, but we were treated as beggers. I do not recommend this for Sri Lankans unless you need the experience of living in a prison with a horrible jailor. Hope you will change your attitudes and improve. Good luck

The first stop when we arrived in Sri Lanka was the boss’s own house with a small courtyard. The boss was not there. The wife received us. There were drinks in the room. The room did not turn on the air conditioner in advance. It was a bit sultry to go in. You need to bring your own slippers, towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The furniture is made of cement, and the bed and quilt are clean and comfortable. There is no quilt, only a blanket. If you are not used to it, you can bring a small blanket. I will confirm the breakfast time. The fish market will not be open on weekends. It is recommended to have breakfast after watching the fish market. The breakfast is good. The room fee must be paid in advance. US Dollars and Sri Lankan coins are acceptable. It is quiet at night. In the morning, there are loud bird calls and music similar to prayer. We went there on Saturday. You can see a lot of squirrels all around, cute

Very nice hotel, just happened to have a wedding when I checked in, it was so beautifully arranged, I saw a sea in the morning, it was really beautiful. On the day of check-in, the boss asked me if I had dinner. I said that I did n’t have time to eat when I was on the road, and the boss gave me a fruit and vegetable salad. I hurried to the plane the next morning. The boss was afraid that I would miss the plane. I was waiting to take me to the airport early. I also delivered bread and coffee. The room I booked did not include breakfast. Praise The room is very large, I have a super bed and a middle bed by myself

The equivalent of a homestay, then four or five rooms. We arrived in the middle of the night, no one was watching the door, knocking on the door could not be opened, but fortunately there was a phone call on Ctrip. The sanitary conditions are worrying. In addition, a room in the same room found a frog in the toilet, live, another room found a gecko (or lizard?), perhaps the ecological environment is too good, haha... breakfast gave us a surprise, rich and delicious.

Breakfast is generally but a large amount, relatively simple, medium and medium rules. The room is huge, the bathroom is huge, there are slippers, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush, no water, the hotel door has a small supermarket in a few tens of meters, it is convenient, there are food, there are fruits. The hotel is not far from the north of the lagoon, the hotel beach is good.

Please take a closer look if you come to Negombo. I booked two rooms, but when they arrived, they were connected to a suite separated by a door. The surroundings are relatively remote. Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. But to book this kind of reservation, Ctrip has very few listings.

1. Ctrip was forced to tell me that the hotel needs a deposit a few days in advance. The hotels previously booked by Ctrip did not need a deposit. Let Ctrip verify that the hotel will not answer the phone and the phone will not understand. As a result, no deposit is required. I suspect that Ctrip didn't verify it at all, closed its eyes and said. 2. Under the power supply slot, only two can use the conversion head, the other can not. 3. There are no disposable slippers. Now I have stayed in 3 hotels, and none of them have disposable slippers. 4. Check in at 1am and leave at 8am. 80 yuan per hour 5. Breakfast is good and eats up. 6. It should be all sea views. 7. Luggage 20 lanka rupees, cleaning 20.

Communication was excellent prior to arrival. Lovely to get greeted with doggie cuddles on arrival! We only stayed for a short layover after a late arrival but the hospitality was excellent. We were able to arrange transfer from the airport in the early hours of the morning and even a driver to Mirissa the next day. We were very kindly upgraded rooms when we arrived which was a lovely surprise to start our honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Excellent powerful AC in the room. Very clean and spacious. Lovely to have a hot shower after long flight. Mini fridge in the room had beers, coke etc you could have for a small cost. Free water provided in the room was appreciated. Looked like an excellent swimming pool but didn't have time for a dip. Wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend for a short stay or even a few relaxing days. Excellent value for money for accomodation and meals. Would definitely stay again when back in Sri Lanka. Thank you again!

We stayed at Waterland on our first night in Sri Lanka and returned here for our last night, due to it's proximity to the airport and how much we enjoyed it the first time around! During our first stay we had the Elephant Villa, which is one of the largest and has an incredible view of the river. All the rooms have their own pool but Elephant Villa has one of the largest and we enjoyed dining by our pool on our first night, which was magical under the full moon. We enjoyed the food but think there could have been a bit more choice/variety. They don't currently serve alcohol, but we had bought some at the airport so enjoyed a glass of bubbles in our pool. I loved the aesthetic of the whole hotel. It reminded me of Bali and I really appreciated the attention to detail. The mahogany wood and white walls are very tasteful and I loved the open waterfall shower in the bathroom. The gardens are lovely with lots of plants and a resident cat. Other reviewers have made some comments about noise. I heard some Easter celebrations going on at a church across the river (fireworks, dance and song) but for me this added to the magic of being in Sri Lanka! I don't think this happens every night and my partner slept through them all. Otherwise it's a quiet spot. The second time we stayed at Waterland we stayed in the Lotus Villa. Also beautifully decorated but smaller than Elephant. We spent our last evening doing a river boat safari at sunset. I enjoyed this and we saw lots of different birds but I did think it was a little over priced. Afterwards we saw loads of giant bats flying over the river which was even more exciting! The staff were incredibly sweet and very kind, thank you especially to the young man who arranging take-away breakfast for us as we had a 6am departure. All in all I think this luxury hotel is a real treat and a wonderful way to start or end your trip to Sri Lanka.

We wanted to stay away from the city's hussle bussle. The location is great in front of sea with room views overlooking pool and sea. Loved the views feom the window and also enjoyed the sunset from verandah. The staff was co-operative and manager I guess Rasika would come himself to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was included in the package and was upto mark. Very helpful and co-operative staff with always smile on there faces to make your trip wonderful. Kids enjoyed the pool and garden area. Rooms were clean and loved the interior of the lobby. Overall interior and architecture of the hotel including the services they were providing were beyond my imagination in this low price. Ideally you should stay on your arrival or before departure since this is close proximity to airport. Only problem I faced was that there A.C was dropping water in room. Though after complaining they changed my room I immediately. I would recommend if you are looking to relax on your vacations then this is the best location you will find.

First time I give a 10/10. The both hosts comfort you like no other and literally make you feel at home. Besides the lovely place with a lot of care for the details, it was their hospitality that made the difference. They helped me organizing my whole trip, arranged several transportation options, stored a big luggage of mine during my journey around the country & stayed in touch with me throughout my whole time in Sri Lanka to see if Im well off. They go the extra mile and and take care of you like no other. Well deserved rating of 10. Keep up the work. Highly recommendable place! Will definitely come back

I chose this hotel in order to stay near the airport for one night. The location is relatively hidden. On the edge of Lake Negombo, the scenery is good. The beds in the Langka room are very small and narrow, other facilities are ok, it is great to have a balcony to see the lake, and there are many crows in the morning. The seafood fried rice for dinner is average, can not eat seafood, and a bit spicy, but the amount is good, the breakfast is good, very rich, and the fruit is delicious. Overall, the price of four hundred hotels is good for a few days. The Lanka service was just like that, with various tips, taxiing 8 kilometers from the airport and being slaughtered 2300 Lu (92 RMB), the first impression was poor.

We wanted somewhere other than a big, international chain hotel. My word we hit the jackpot! We were welcomed with drinks and cool towels. All our needs were met. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff without exception was kind, friendly and welcoming. Our room and the hotel generally was absolutely spotless. Food was superb. The Sri Lankan breakfast was a feast but they also catered for a range of international tastes. One can watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. White wine served in chilled glasses, a nice touch in the heat. Just sorry we only could stay 2 nights. Somewhat tucked out of the way but the beach just a short walk, a few streets away. There on the main strip were lots of bars, cafés, hotels and restaurants. We enjoyed the rooftop spa where we found the therapists completely professional, delivering an efficient and relaxing massage. Thank you to Ms. Chathurika for your kindness and gentle care with my poorly arm. That was most appreciated. Would most definitely recommend this hotel and spa.

Booked this hotel on line through an online booking agency, for two nights before returning home. The hotel is basic but our room was clean. Our room did have a safe, tea and coffee, and a fridge. When we checked out the male receptionist was insistent we paid in SL rupees. Their rate meaning we would pay 19 dollars extra than the booked price. We refused. The receptionist phoned the manager who said this was because the government had increased tax (not true). Eventually they took our money in dollars (the booked price) We had a wonderful time touring Sri Lanka staying in a number of hotels. This was not a problem anywhere else. A sad end to a wonderful holiday.

Awesome hotel! The location is a bit off, but a sudden car is coming soon. The environment is very good. The whole hotel is full of grass, very clean, the pool is very clean, the room is very beautiful, there are lounge chairs at the door, and sitting on the loungers at night. A cup of black tea is really comfortable, and the dishes in the hotel are also very tasty, which is not expensive compared to the outside restaurant. It’s very close to the airport and there is a drop-off service. It’s really good. If you are hesitating now, please choose this one! Absolutely never regret it! The next time I go to Sri Lanka, I will definitely stay at this hotel, which is the perfect ending to Sri Lanka.
