We were able to upgrade to a suite which was lovely. There was a great view of the sports park and the CBD. The bathroom is very large although quite exposed (it has a glass wall on one side so you must turn on a switch to obscure it. The mirror above the two sinks has the worst possible lighting we've ever experienced in a hotel--so bad we had to walk into the bedroom to find better light--even just to brush our hair. The climate control is integrated into the lightswitch arrangement on the wall so that took some learning. The AC could not keep up with the sun load in the afternoon unless you closed the curtains. The bed and room appointments were very nice. There are plenty of power outlets. The breakfast buffet was really good although the coffee maker needs some directions on how to use it. The location is across the street from a park and a nice walk to the CBD. The room was very quiet. The staff was particularly helpful, and we must commend Concierge Andy for all of his help.

This place was close to The MCG and ideal for us. We wanted free parking for 10 days and this was provided by a refunded permit. Gary at reception was friendly and helpful. On-site coin operated laundry was clean and worked well. Our room was basic and quiet with a very comfortable king bed. Rooms were scrupulously clean although the bathroom needed an exhaust fan and better water pressure in the shower but room cleaning service was available daily. Decor could have been a little better but for the price we’re happy to stay there again.

Great location, easy walking distance to Bridge Road. Room was clean, bed was comfy. My own issue was the parking. Limited parking on site and you have to pre-book. No chance of finding a spot in the local area as it's either permit parking or a 1 hour limit. You may be lucky after 630pm. I had to park around 10 minute walk away down a residential street that had free parking after 6pm. But had to get back there by 7.30am before the parking permit rule kicked in. Value for money great.

We as a family have been coming to stay here for 8 years or so now. Since there has been a change of hands from the previous owners there has been quite a considerable decline in the level of service provided. For breakfast there were no egg cups for hard boiled eggs, my mum who is in her 60s commented that they brought out hot breakfast options after we had pretty much already finished our breakfast. Short on linen in rooms, no face washers provided. The hair dryer in our room didn't work but luckily there was a spare one. There was a missing towel rack on the back of the bathroom door. There is free parking which is a bonus. So all included, twin room for the night, breakfast and complimentary parking

The hotel is very good, if you are going to Melbourne to participate in the marathon, it is a very good choice, 7:00 in the morning, 6:00 out will not be nervous, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the start and end. The hotel is equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, bread machine, kettle, not suitable for Melbourne food, you can go to the supermarket opposite the Federation Square (about 1000 meters from the hotel) to buy ingredients to process your own food. In all respects, this hotel is very good, there is a very large and very beautiful park in front of the hotel.

I was surprised this property was rated as high as it was. It was fine, if a little basic. The room was very noisy from both inside and outside the property. Close to public transport but you need it to get anywhere as it is quite far from the main sites.

Excellent location just a short walk from North Richmond train station. Very friendly and helpful reception. Apartment was spacious and in good condition with all the normal amenities, and excellent heating on what was one of Melbourne’s coldest nights for the year, although the living room furniture is getting a little old. The only negative was that the guests directly upstairs partied late and then got up very early, a problem because there’s almost no soundproofing between floors.

This hotel is in a great location in Little Bourke St, an 800 metre straight line from Southern Cross or an even shorter walk straight to Flinders St. Don't be put off by the cheap look, the worn carpet, old paint and narrow corridors, the room was clean, secure and quiet, the heating (A/C) worked, there was hot water and good water pressure and the beds were comfortable. For a cheap few days, there was really little more you could ask for - very close to everything you want to see in the heart of Melbourne and easy to get to and the desk staff were attentive and polite. Basically the definition of not judging a book by its cover, this is the perfect little place to stay on a budget.

It's convenient to drive by car. Follow the white road, Maroon*** HWY, and turn left to Victoria RD. Then turn left at Melba HWY and you will be left. It's perfect to avoid the high-speed route for navigation. Hotel facilities feel old, especially the pool is a bit disappointing! The hotel provides a big bed room according to my request! The welcome letters are all in Chinese :) The hotel has a free 3 boxes of instant noodles (although we have not eaten) and three bottles of Italian mineral water! Surprisingly, the four small pieces of chocolate are delicious! All breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the hotel, full western food! Breakfast is included in the room rate, lunch and dinner for two big ones for nearly $300! The nearest winery is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. After the hotel reception has received the voucher, you can go there for free 5 kinds of wine! The tasting staff just happened to be a little girl from Shanghai. I was very kind. I bought 6 bottles of wine (can pay Alipay or WeChat). The next day I took a baby to go to the Wildlife Nature Reserve, which is 18 minutes drive from the hotel. !

The first time I drove a sports car, the parking guy trotted over to greet me every time and could remember my name. Later, my car was repaired, and this time I came with a car provided by the insurance company. I parked more than ten times for three days and three nights, and every time I was asked to wait, I couldn’t remember me every time, and every time I was asked why I was here, I was here to ****. We arrived in Melbourne from Sydney at 8pm on Monday 10th, with the intention of staying at an apartment we booked. We got to the apartment and it was shocking. We couldn’t stay at this particular apartment as it was not to our satisfaction and was not safe as we had 4 children with us. We looked to find alternate apartments and we came across Nesuto Hotel. The time now was 10pm. We gave them a call and asked if we could have a look at the apartment before making a decision as we wanted to make sure it was safe for our children. The manager Krisha agreed for us to have a look. We were impressed and booked 2 hotel rooms. Krisha and her staff were amazing and very caring. She saw how stressed out we were and wanted us to be happy. The next day Krisha called my room to see if I was ok as she saw how upset and stressed I was. All I could say is that this has been the best hotels we have been to. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were very clean and it was close to public transport. But best of all was that the staff were very caring and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Need a bit more detailing in cleaning and in services. Overall a good place but could be much better if Management check the rooms after Housekeeping and if its not impossible do inform the Person in advance when Housekeeping is coming and kindly advise Housekeeping to clean the room on daily basis as on my 3 day stay Housekeeping only came once when I was out and did nothing on the name of cleaning just moved the things from one place to other.

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

We stay at mantra hotels all the time as they are usually reasonably priced and good value. This time they did not disappoint! The location is great, lots of alleyways nearby with bars/restaurants. Parking not too far away. We booked at Wilson's online and got a deal. The restaurant was only open for breakfast but that's ok when you have a kitchen! The rooms are very spacious! Especially for the city. You get bath robes which were a great addition. My only complaint was the towels. They were tiny and very worn. Improve this and I'd rate our stay 5/5!!

I arrived in the evening in Melbourne and I wish the hotel has better information regarding their on-demand free shuttle. I researched previously but not much info found so ended up paying $25aud for a short taxi ride. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was surprised that they did not have my booking despite I had it pre-paid and received confirmation number. It took more than 30min to sort it out. Room was okay though nothing special. The air conditioning vent was blowing directly onto the head rest area on the bed, and it was rather uncomfortable, so I ended up sleeping sideways. Shower and bathroom were generally clean but don’t expect a lot of amenities. Next morning when I checked out, I was surprised the staff asked me again whether the room payment had been settled! Given the whole ordeal the night before, I was surprised that no messages were passed on regarding my booking! Good thing was Trip.com was quick to respond to help sort out the situation but little apology was given by the hotel. Will I book this place again? Highly unlikely!

My wife and I had a nice stay here a few weeks back. It is pretty centrally located and reasonably priced which are the redeeming features. The location and rooms definitely look nicer in the photos, the rooms whilst large and well appointed are very old and worn… dented fridges, damaged furniture, bedside lights that don’t work etc. it’s all perfectly liveable it’s just not what I expected from the photos. Staff were friendly but the place just needs some TLC. If you think this is a nicely restored boutique hotel you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re seeking conveniently located, reasonably priced accomodation with low expectations it will be perfectly suited.

There's an intercom that gives access to friends and family or uber eats. The location is super. 7mins walking distance to the shops. The downside is that the fire brigade was just across the road and they are all the time switching on that annoying siren so was quite noisy 😑 and the bedroom didn't have an air-conditioned or fan and it got quite warm sometimes. Location: The location of the hotel is very convenient, many sightseeing points and shops are at walking distance (10-15 min). Moreover, there is a plethora of restaurants around the hotel and China Town was also a 10 min away. Cleanliness: Although the room looks clean at first glance, without room service available, the room can get messy and dirty really quick. Moreover the toilet and cooking area are relatively small, which makes everything cramped together and drips everywhere. Another thing to note is that the shower place in the bathroom does not have proper enclosement which will cause water to splash all around when taking a shower to bath, especially the water closet which causes a lot of inconvenience. Service: The staffs at the counter are very helpful and friendly. Not only they were polite but they will help and make your stay as pleasant as possible by assisting you with your needs (extra amenities and beds). General Facilities and amenities: Even though you can always ask for extra amenities from staffs, the facilities ans other services in this hotel is completely lacking. As mentioned, there is no house cleaning service provided nor there are any other recreational facilities such as swimming pool or in house kitchen. Another point to note is that Mentra 100 is not a big hotel, they only provide 1 or 2 room selections. If you are travelling with 4 ppl or above it is best to keep this in mind as some people might need to sleep in the living room given the limited space.

Stayed here as a Diamond Ambassador in an iconic suite - Check in experience was great, warm welcome, benefits acknowledged and welcome drink provided. Amazing room, ridiculous amount of space, comfortable bed, great little office/working area. Unfortunately, the general level of service/care factor is lacking especially when staying in a room costing over 1k a night! One of my complimentary water bottles was open/used and about half empty, yuck. Later that day I wanted to use my $25 credit on the minibar 200ml bottle of gin (which is listed as inclusive of 4 mixers). Gin was missing from the mini bar I couldn't find it. Called down to reception to ask if it was by request, they assured me it should be there and would send someone up. Waited 2 hours and no one came which frustrated me as I was waiting so called down again and was assured someone was on the way. Someone did arrive with a huge bag full of everything except the gin. When questioned didn't seem to know what I was talking about, I had to point to it on the minibar menu and was met with a very confused expression, he left. Then about 30 minutes later a different person arrives with the gin bottle, success. However upon checkout there were a bunch of mini bar items charged which I hadn't consumed, and in fact were not even missing. I hate having to have that conversation but after only 3 words they were ”happy to remove them” which makes me think this isn't an uncommon occurrence. I later noticed that the mixers were charged as well where as they should have been included with the gin purchase cost, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time to try and sort it out. Club lounge service was attentive but did fill up and get quite busy in the evenings however my drink was always topped up and the staff there were friendly and engaging. Temperature control seems non-existent in the room and I'm convinced it makes no difference what you set it to. I had my do not disturb on until mid morning, so as I was leaving for the day dropped by reception and said I may have missed housekeeping and could they have someone make up the room. Arrived back a few hours later and it hadn't been done. All up a real mixed bag here, but can't help feel my simple requests were a bother and inconvenience.
