We stayed at Harman suites one night for Leeds festival, the room is very small but homely. It fits two people, a bit snug but it was adequate for our needs. Everything is spoptlessly clean and Mrs Singh is very welcoming and hospitable, lovely lady. She gave us sweets on arrival and showed us where everything was, assuring us that she was close by should we need anything. The room is well equipped with everything that you might need for a short stay, with cooking facilities a fridge and even a washing machine. It could probably do with updating a little but that didn't detract from anything at all. Lovely, quiet residential area, a short cab journey to the city centre.

Me and my partner booked just for the night, checking in was so easy and the receptionist was so lovely! He had given us a room on the top floor which we were really hoping for so that made our stay even better. The room was immaculately clean and spacious and the heating system was perfect, the top floor seemed to be really warm so the AC was perfect when on. The view of the city was amazing day and night. Room facilities were great, loved that there was shower gel and shampoo with conditioner in little dispensers, lovely touch although we brought our own toiletries. The only thing that could have been better was having more things for tea and coffee as we didn't have sugar, but we weren't too bothered to ask so not a massive problem. We also missed the free breakfast but we wish we had taken advantage. Id recommend staying here if your wanting access to the town centre as its so easy to get to from the hotel and it's a really comfortable stay. Had a lovely night!

Was here for a 2 day course in Leeds the staff go above and beyond. The cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding from communal areas to the rooms. The breakfast was excellent both mornings yes they was short of bacon one morning but when I seen a group of lads stock piling there plates I'm not surprised other guests get frustrated so I do have sympathy for the staff that work hard and try there best to keep up to demand Peter the assistant manager seems to be everywhere at the same time so funny and so professional every hotel should have a Peter I will definitely stay here again

Prices seem to have increased, but standards decreased. Last year I had excellent room service meals. The menu has been cut back. I had steak and chips. It was a tiny portion of food, there was a bit of limp, shallot on top of a piece of what I think would have been a nice steak, but resembled a lump of charcoal . No cheeseboard available. The windows were fitted with two stretches of curtain track.... with a huge gap between the two. I was therefore woken up at first light each morning. Breakfast: previously, on busy mornings , I witnessed a young man trying to cook by himself, for far too many people. On this visit, it was not at all busy, but the chef cooked lots of eggs at once, left them all on a plate and they went hard. No fresh orange juice - happened on last visit.. Surely they could have sent somebody to buy some? I was twice asked for my room number and if I had booked breakfast. . A while later, a supervisor (not in uniform) walked up, did not say excuse me and said "you're not booked in for breakfast". I explained that I had booked it when I checked in. Only semi-skimmed milk, rather than this plus whole and skimmed,. They always run out of cups and glasses. Check out: I was charged for breakfast on two mornings, when I had only booked it for one morning. Staff are very friendly Rooms are serviced very well-good standard of work Excellent location with discounted parking at the adjoining The Light Car Park Bar area is nice with a relaxing atmosphere

Advertised as 5* and to be fair the room does have a feel of luxury about it. However, for the rate paid I would have expected a bit more. The shower room is tiny - you can barely move in it and don't even think about more than one person in the room at once. The kitchen area is well stocked but - no microwave. No instructions for the oven which is powered off on arrival. The room was hot - the windows had been left open but the street noise meant they couldn't be open whilst sleeping. No air-conditioning so it was quite uncomfortable. Cleaning wasn't great - there was a lollypop stick on the floor and splatterings from the previous visitors dinner still on the wall. Overall I think for this money I'd expect a much better nights sleep. It looks nice and location is perfect but I'd rather spend less and loose a star.

We have just finished staying at the Mansio Suites Basinghall and I can’t recommend the place highly enough. The apartments are in a great location and offer everything that you would expect in a quality serviced apartment. However, for us the most exceptional thing about the Mansio was the amazing customer service we received while staying there. We had the misfortune - never again - of flying British Airways as part of our connection to Leeds. They lost my wife’s baggage and we found it virtually impossible to get a response from a human being in 3 days. During all of this ongoing saga of woe every member of staff at the Mansio went out of their way to help us. Thuy who works at reception is simply outstanding and is easily the best thing about the Mansio apartments. We travel constantly and have done so for almost 30 years. I can’t think of a member of staff at any hotel - chain or independent - who performs their role as well as Thuy. She went above and beyond to help us in an awful and impossible situation. The mark of an exceptional place is how guests are treated when things go wrong - Thuy is the gold standard!

First things first! The rooms were very small, my partner was the first to walk in, followed by me. I asked him to keep walking in as I had a suitcase as I can’t pack light. Try and pack light and take the smallest bag possible. Thought he was joking when he said that he couldn’t move any more. The room was the size of a cardboard box. The majority of normal hotels have a bathroom bigger than the whole of our room. The mattress itself was comfy and did just the job unlike the pillows. The pillows that were provided were like sleeping on tissue paper, barely anything there. I advise you to bring your own pillows if you actually want one for a comfortable night sleep. We asked reception for another two pillows but they had no spare pillows left...I wonder why! In this day and age I would have thought that WiFi was available and not part of the additional £10 fees that are placed on most “extras”. The staff were all very friendly and we couldn’t fault them

Excellent: The location is very good, close to the canal and the train station, you can take a boat trip or dine by the river. About 50 meters from the hotel is the south entrance of the railway station. It takes only 3 minutes to reach the train station waiting hall. It is also close to the downtown bustling area (commercial circle), and it is very convenient to shop. Needless to say, Hilton DoubleTree's service has delicious cookies at check-in and the staff is warm and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, as it was a canal view and the night view was very good. Breakfast is self-service, the waiters are very warm and friendly, the important thing is that although it is buffet, but the product is good, very delicious! ! Finally I want to say that the sound insulation effect is very good! ! Sleep well all night. High cost performance! Lack: The Mini Bar's small refrigerator is in a state of power failure. The design of the toilet door needs to be improved and cannot be maintained. Overall, the experience of DoubleTree Leeds is much better than that of Manchester, and the price is very suitable. It can be said that it is a very good hotel.

The train station came out and crossed the road. It was very convenient and the price was low. We went to York the next day and found that the price of staying here for two nights was similar to the price of staying in York for one night, and it was half an hour from Leeds to York. Tickets are cheap, rooms are large, clean, air-conditioned, many old hotels in the UK do not have air conditioning, only electric fans, next to the hotel is the city center.

Excellent staff, friendly place, high-quality rooms, convenient location -- this is a first-rate place to stay in Leeds, and we very much enjoyed our time there. Great breakfast, and to be able to walk to and from the hotel through the renovated dock area was an unexpected pleasure.

Firstly I totally appreciate IHG have recently taken this hotel over and it will take time but I need to write the review based on what I found The hotels biggest strength is its staff - I was totally overwhelmed by how nice and helpful they were - more so than any other hotel I can recall and I stay in a lot of hotels - so pleasant at check in, nice touches like ringing the room after ten minutes to check everything was ok and didn’t I need anything. I can’t say enough good things about every staff member I met. However the hotel is a bit of a dump - lovely entrance hall / reception is where it ends. The hotel needs a major amount of work done but is in such a bad state I won’t return unless I’m stuck and couldn’t possibly recommend anyone to stay in it. One tiny lift for a big hotel isn’t a good start Creaky corridors everywhere you go in the hotel - when in my third floor room I could hear this creaking all through my stay - I found the hotel so noisy in general right through the night - I had such a poor nights sleep due to this noise which was almost like every time someone flushed a loo somewhere the water passed down pipes near room 311 - may have been something else but it sounded like loo and was so regular that had I been staying more than one night I’d have moved somewhere else The room itself I get with old buildings it’s not easy to change layouts but this room was like a cupboard - nowhere to put the luggage I had rather than leave it ok the floor and step over it. The bathroom was so bad - I’m pretty tall but the bathroom door frame was so low I kept hitting my head off the top of it (not sure if everyone was a lot smaller when this place was built but the height of the door frame could be dangerous). The bathroom was so small that I could hardly stand between the loo and the sink, then when using the shower over the bath it’s a right pain to get in and out as you have to step over the toilet so if your not fit or elderly I would definitely avoid this hotel as you could do yourself serious harm in this bathroom with a slip or fall - that said the water pressure was good The bed itself was so lumpy - must have been bought in 1950. The rate included breakfast but it was a set menu that was far too fancy so I didn’t have it - my advice change this to a buffet breakfast Location is good for the station and shops a couple of minutes away - however some not very desirable people hang around outside the hotel at night - I went out at around ten to a Tesco express around the corner - one step outside the hotel I was offered free tickets to a lap dancing bar and then another 30 meters down the road the services of a prostitute were offered - I appreciate the hotel cannot control who stands outside but many may not want to put up with this sort of thing In short this hotel needs closed and total rebuilt

5 minutes walk from Leeds Railway Station, exit the hotel, there is a supermarket on the left side of the hotel, right hand for about 10 minutes, there is a Thai restaurant, 10 pounds at noon, cheap and delicious, the hotel is very soundproof, there is a hot water bottle. We have a room with a big bed, a sofa bed, a lot of space, no hotel breakfast, sleep every day to wake up naturally, breakfast DIY, train station McDonald's freshly baked chicken rolls 1.99 pounds is very good, still can be full, This time I stayed for 6 nights because of a foot injury.
