Stayed in, I presume, a standard room, overlooking the seafront. Excellent bed, good linen and very clean. Shower room was ok. The shower itself was very small and a bit "tired". Excellent pressure to the shower though. Towels were good and changed everyday. Breakfast is self service although the coffee is served to you. Tea making facilities available in the breakfast room. Typical continental breakfast with lots of pastries and cakes (croissants lovely in a warming cabinet). Hard boiled eggs were usually available if you don't leave it too late. You can make your own toast if wanted. The location is great, walking distance to some very nice restaurants. Although opposite the" beach," it is for the small fishing boats, very picturesque and they sell their catch every day. Loved Milazzo, it is not a resort town as such, no tatty souvenir shops but a working port. This hotel is a flat 15/20 minute walk away from the port. Hotel staff were all very pleasant all spoke English except the nice lady running the breakfast room. A car is a must for visiting the peninsular and the northern coast of Sicily but driving through the town/towns is hair-raising to say the least! Sat nav for the towns is a must. Motorways are fine. Trip to the Aeolian islands is a must. Although we stayed for 10 nights most residents seemed to be there for just a couple. Only downside for us was although there is Sky tv you can only get one news programme in English. They have excellent Wi-fi though.

Very nice and clean room, good and delicious breakfast with warm pastries, fresh fruits and juices. The owner gave us useful information about the local restaurants and a city map without asking for it. Anyway we would return next time again. Highly recommended! :)

We travel frequently between Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands and this hotel is without a doubt the best option in Milazzo. The staff are friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for these girls whom all speak excellent English. On a recent visit we needed to print some documents for our appointment with local immigration authorities and they very kindly offered to do this for us. The breakfast choice is varied, generous and fresh. We always seem to be fortunate enough to get the same room which has become so familiar to us - it is big, spotlessly clean and has lots of special touches making it feel that management really care about their guests comfort. Recently we needed to stay elsewhere as the Cassisi was full and I was reminded that the warmth, kindness, comfort and location of the Cassisi is a truly unique experience in the heart of Milazzo.

I must start by saying that there is no sign. Follow the address to the letter and you will see a glass door with a garage door on its left. There is a bell push with InCentro B&B marked and you are there. The couple running the place were very helpful. I had my car and the garage was a great convenience. Everything is very modern and tasteful and certainly comfortable. It is also well placed for the port and the lungomare and the short walk up to the castle. Breakfast arrives between 7:30 and 8:00 and was fine and the capsule coffee maker was a bonus.

La Chicca Palace is a smart, modern hotel close to the centre of town and the ferries, yet in a relatively quiet location. It offered excellent value for money. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, while maintaining strict Covid protocols on distancing. Breakfast had to be ordered in advance so that it could be delivered to our room, which it was, exactly at the time requested. Milazzo is more than just a ferry port - the old town on the hill to the north includes a castle and cathedral, and there is an interesting free museum displaying archaeological finds from the local area stretching back through the Roman and Greek eras to even earlier settlement. So an overnight in Milazzo is no hardship!

We stayed here 3 nights during July and it was fantastic. The location is perfect, the view from our balcony (6. floor) was amazing. The room is very clean, spotless and quiet. The bed is sooo comfortable! The whole building is very modern and the owner, is wonderful — she was very kind, knowledgeable on the area, and always willing to help. She gave us a lot of tips and recommendations and helped us to book a ticket to Stromboli as well. The breakfast was very good with a lot of option and on the sky terrace with an excellent view. We highly recommend this great hotel.

I recently spent one night at the B&B Varadero prior to departing for Stromboli. The hotel is located right across the street from the Liberty Lines ferry. If you're catching the ferry, you can be there within 5 minutes from the B&B. The building appeared to be undergoing renovation - but the construction noise was limited to working hours, and not a problem for sleeping. Please note - there is no one on site 24/7. When I arrived, I needed to call the owner for him to bring the keys. It wasn't an issue, but probably would have been helpful to know that in advance so that we could have coordinated my arrival. FYI - if arriving by train, it is very simple to catch the public bus from the train station to the ferry stop. And then it's just a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the B&B. The bus cost only 1.50 euro. The B&B is located on one of the upper floors of the building. There is a common door and the rented rooms have separate private doors off the common entry. During my visit, I was exhausted an fell asleep at an uncommonly early time (8:30pm), and was awoken when the other renters arrived to check in. So long as everyone is considerate about keeping quiet in the common area, this shouldn't be a problem. This also provides the option for a family to rent the entire floor with separate rooms for the parents/children. The room faced the water and had an amazing view. The room was clean and furnished in a modern/white manner. The room was spacious, and offered extra pillows and blankets in a closet, which I needed because the weather was very cool that night. The bathroom is small, but efficient with refreshing shower/water pressure, adequate counter space for toiletries and plenty of towels. Like most European hotels, there were no washcloths, so bring your own if you prefer using those. I presume it was the owner who brought me the keys. He as very helpful, and arrived within 45 minutes after I called to say that I was at the front door. He walked me through the electronic keypad locks, provided a recommendation for a local restaurant, and ensured I was satisfied with the room before departing. I am very happy with the customer service - I had changed my reservation at least 2x to adjust for the weather conditions and ferry cancellations. Each time the B&B was very gracious and simply moved my reservations to another date, without charging me any additional fees. In one case, the change was last-minute and technically my reservation was outside the cancellation policy, but that still accommodated me in making the change without penalty. Thank you B&B Varado for a great stay!

We stayed at Solaris B&B for one week and had a great stay! Pino warmly welcomed us on arrival, and gave us a thorough introduction to Milazzo - supermarkets, restaurants, walks and the best places for granita! The room was sparkling clean and a good size, equipped with a mini fridge & good AC. Breakfast was reasonable, with a sufficient selection of cereals, biscuits, cakes and pastries, all served with great coffee. Pino was friendly and could be reached by phone at all hours to help with any questions we had. All in all, a great stay and good value for money. NOTE - Milazzo charges a visitor tax of €1 per person per day, up to the length of 5 days (after which point, no tax is paid - ie. for a one week stay we paid €5 per person). Pino is happy to collect this from you at any point throughout your stay, though we paid in cash on arrival.

Stayed here one night to allow us to catch early morning ferry to overnight on Stromboli. Reception staff were very friendly, professional and helpful with organising to park our hire car until we returned the following day and also stowing our baggage so we could just take small backpacks to Stromboli. The hotel is approx 5-10min walk from the port where the ferries depart. The room and bathroom were lovely - modern, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. For us, the only downside was not having tea/coffee making facilities in the room or even having access to a tea/coffee station so we could make a cuppa ourselves. A polite request for a couple of cups of tea around 10pm was not very well received by night staff (clearly we were putting them out) and resulted in a couple of weak, tepid cups of tea which we were charged an unreasonable amount for. For us, this was the only disappointing aspect about staying at La Bussola.
