Good things: ambiance, fabulous views from the bedroom balcony over the land and ocean, friendly staff, the absolute silence and calm at night, Price (50 euros per night, without breakfast) (60 euros with breakfast). Things to improve: mattresses are comfortable, however, they are metal sprung and very noisy. The mattress wakes you up each time you , or your partner, move. So, a truly dreadful nights sleep. Having a coffee on the bedroom balcony would be lovely, but there are no kettle or drink facilities in the bedrooms, which is a pity. There is a very limited meal menu (moussaka or lasagne) which we didn’t try, because we had already had moussaka for lunch. Overall : the hotel offers a taste of what hotels were like in the 1950’s. It is a little run down, but that just adds to the shabby chic charm. But, the dreadful mattresses mean few will stay more than one night. That is a pity, because this hotel deserves to survive. If the owners just replaced the mattresses, with some modern hotel standard ones, this hotel would be a great place to come and relax for a few days.

We stayed as a family of 8 in number 5. The villas are located at the top of a very big hill so a car would be advisable. Our villa was very clean and tidy upon our arrival with easy instructions on how to enter the villa from Nicholas(really helpful site manager). Nicholas made himself available at any time for any help you might need via telephone and whats ap. The pool had a fault with a loose ladder into the water which caused us a safety concern with the children but after talking to Aaron, the maintainess man, he had it replaced within the hour. Fabulous service. Aaron will visit the pool every day to clean, again, fab. He is very friendly and takes the time to speak and ask where your from, etc. Remember to offer him a cold drink, he gladly accepted cold glasses of water!! Views from the villas are amazing as you are high up, stunning. We absolutely did not one single complaint. Perfect 1st family holiday. Lindos is is a short drive away and pefkos just a little further. Pefkos has more bars and restaurants. You can hire a boat or jet ski from the beach a short drive from the villas, also at the bottom of the hill you can hire quads and cars etc. Really lovely villas, you will not be daissapointed. Also on plus side, previous occupants had left their inflatables and toys that the children had great fun playing with, Thank you whoever you were xx

Firstly, thank you to our nice host George and his family and team, special thanks to Nico and the Chef Katarina, they made our stay here truly amazing and unforgettable. I booked this place as Airbnd apartment, in fact it is a cosy boutique hotel. The room is fully equipped for cooking breakfast and being independent, the place had a nice decent size swimming pool, bar and pool facilities are tops. My most fantastic experience appeared to be connected with the tavern, that belongs to this hotel. We tried hard to find anything in any other restaurant in the island even slightly similar to the food served in this place, and we failed. Literally, the best food for the best prices, we ended up dining here every night and enjoyed Every time. Swordfish fillet here is to die for, no kidding. My husband also said pork steak and saganaki fried cheese were the best in his life. We enjoyed our stay, made some friends from England, Russia, went fishing, explored almost all sights... And when you think you saw all, you just find out there is something else, waiting for your next visit. I definitely book George's place and highly recommend for its location, food and overall very warm homey atmosphere.

We stayed here with some friends and it was okey. It’s kind of simple, more like a B&B than a hotel, but we almost liked it. The owner was nice, everything was clean, the WiFi as okey but didn’t work in some of the rooms but the beds (as always in Greece?) were hard. And there was no remote to the A/C so we couldn’t use it. The best was the nice terass on the 1st floor, and the worst was the breakfast. Poor selection and no real coffee. So I don’t know, I don’t think we will be back next time we’re in the neighbourhood.

We've just returned from lovely Rhodes island (2 adults and a 5 year-old child) where we have stayed for 2 weeks in Pantheon. I can hardly remember any other place with such hospitality, atmosphere and great service on top. I want to say many-many thanks to Vasilis and his family for that tremendous work you do for your guests! Every day, when we used to return from our trips, it was a feeling of oasis within daily cleaned up spacious apartment, relaxed montain and garden view from the balcony (we lived on the 2nd floor) and family atmosphere. We also found that the middle-island location (Archangelos) is very convenient - it took us 10-12 min by car to reach scenic sandy beaches (e.g. Tsampika with long a coastline, Agathi with great underwater wildlife and an ancient castle) as well as it wasn't not far from the other points like Lindos, Rhodos Old Town, Monolithos etc. There is also a nice Stegna beach right near the village. The village itself is very cosy, with no crowds of tourists, hence it's a great chance to see how local people live. Also there is the whole infrastructure available within 5-10 min walk (supermarkets, fish/fruit market, taverns etc). Vasilis gives very detailed guidance about the places that is really helpful. I can highly recommend Pantheon as for me and my family it's one of the best places to stay and explore Rhodes! Vasilis, wish you and your family all the best! Regards, Alexandr, Veronika and Katerina :)

I have recently stayed here for five nights. The hotel is fantastic! The owners are exceptionally welcoming and friendly and will do everything to ensure you stay is comfortable. I stayed in a single room which was large and very comfortable. The balcony had a built in insect net and the air conditioning is fantastic. Rooms were serviced daily to a high standard. The pool and the pool area is spotless, and incredibly relaxing. The views of the mountains are incredible. The food is good quality and plentiful and the restaurant staff are very friendly. The hotel is less than a ten minute walk to the town centre which has a range of local shops and restaurants. A good bus route to local areas of interest as well (Rodos and Lindos), bus system easy to use. Local beach is stunning (Stegna) and well worth a visit. This hotel was perfect for a week of sun, rest and relaxation. I highly recommend this family run hotel and would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Golden View Studios at the end of May 2019. It was our first time in Rhodes (usually holiday in Corfu) but were attending a friends wedding at Ktima. We could no fault the apartments, They are comfortable, clean, with sheets an towels changed regularly. The pool area is lovely, everything is well maintained and clean. We had a late arrival but were welcomed by Apostolos who was a fabulous host, he was so helpful. We enjoyed catching up with him for chats during our stay. The only downside to our stay was the fact there is nowhere really within walking distance to eat out at night. You need to take a taxi or bus into Lindos. (which isn't far but couldn't walk it easily on the main roads). Having said that, Lindos is beautiful and has some fabulous restaurants which were recommended to us by Apostolos. If we were to visit these apartments again, we would hire transport which would make it easier to get around.

Our family spent a week in this lovely hotel. The rooms are modest but very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the pool, and they thought it was better than any of the beaches :) Dinners at the hotel were very good. Location was for us perfect: the hotel is in Archangelos which is a small village and it is not crowded by the tourists. You will find supermarkets there and also reastaurants but if you want to go to other places (like Rhodes Town), you get quite easily by bus. If you seek for partying, this is not your place. But if you seek for a peaceful holiday away from the crowded tourist areas, this is The Place! Even though you can use a bus, I recommed to rent a car. It makes travelling in Rhodes very much easier.

Would highly recommend this hotel, we visited when the Thomas cook fiasco happened and honestly we had heard so many horror stories about other hotels that we were dreading what laid ahead of us but I can’t praise the hotel and especially the staff who asked us were we ok and could they help in any way, Kaliopi was a ray of sunshine in the buffet area and so too was the boss who both made our holiday special as they would go above and beyond to make it feel we were the only ones there!, bar staff were amazing and by the end of the holiday they had even memorised what we were drinking and would just bring our drinks over, excellent location as only approx 25 minute stroll into Rhodes town centre, rooms were clean and tidy.

We stayed at Sunny Days last year and stayed in block five which had not been renovated yet but that wasn’t a massive issue for us. This year we hoped that either it would have been renovated like the others or we would be in a different block. We stayed in block five again and we slightly disappointed as the decor is old and tired. This year we noticed a big difference in the cleanliness of the rooms. Each day our bin was changed and beds made but in our weeks stay sheets were not changed and neither were our towels until we asked half way through the week for fresh towels. Last year we recall our rooms being swept, towels and sheets changed twice in the week. I don’t think it is a massive ask for fresh sheets at least one in your stay. They were stained (as were the towels on arrival). I must say the pool area is extremely clean as is the restaurant at the hotel so the rooms let it down for us this year. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable - not the best if you struggle with your back. Breakfast this year was very much a let down from last year. There seemed to be a lack of choices and nothing is labelled which isn’t easy if you have an allergy or intolerance. A lot of the food is obvious but I have gluten intolerance so it wasn’t easy to navigate around. The hotel did go to the effort to get my gluten Free bread for my breakfast which was very much appreciated. The staff on the reception and in the bar and restaurant are fantastic and cannot do enough for you which is great. The food at the hotel is fantastic and very reasonably priced. We ate here last year and this year. They were clued up on my gluten intolerance which was refreshing given other places but I visited I really struggled. You also have to pay for a shower once you have checked out. I have been staying in Greece every year for the past 20 years and never experienced this. It is in a public area and not private with others using the toilet so you’re paying for that. Overall a generally okay stay but could have been better.

Wow! What a holiday. We stayed in the suites side of the Ixian Grand and it was amazing. Our own restaurant for breakfast with a view of the sea. This suite only restaurant also had a 4 course dinner menu which we were allowed to attend unlimited times. Amazing. Our room was great, had its own swimming Pool. Only downfall in the room would be that it didn't have a long mirror. We ate in all four restaurants and the 7 course seafood restaurant was amazing. Could not fault the food here one bit. The swimming pool for everyone was huge and never packed, always easy to get a sunbed round the pool too. We visited the water park which was great. Evening entertainment was not great, it really would be an amazing hotel if the entertainment was to improve. We did speak to some people who stayed in the hotel and not the suites and it did sound like they were having a completely different holiday. So I would advise if you can afford to stay in a suite, there seems to be a lot more extras that way. Staff really friendly. Had a great holiday, Thanks Ixian Grande

We spent two weeks here as a couple and really enjoyed our stay. Normally only stay on bed and breakfast basis but hard to achieve in Rhodes in the location we wanted to be in. Having said that the food and indeed drink were plentiful and there was always a choice of cuisine across all the different venues. We didn't make full use of our "all inclusive " as we like to explore a country. So we hired a car for our stay and went out to eat every other day whilst exploring the island. On the evenings we stayed at the hotel the entertainment was great although mostly tribute acts who I must say were really professional and very entertaining. A particularly great trio played at the beach a couple of days a week and they were fabulous. Would we go again, probably not, but would recommend if you want a good value family holiday.

During these difficult covid times, it was with a bit of hesitation that we booked a last minute holiday to Castellum Suites All Inclusive. It was a great price for a newly refurbished hotel within a very short walk of the old town. The lovely, quite spacious room had a balcony (with a small table plus 2 chairs) and a modern bathroom with a good size shower (bring your own toiletries). The smart tv meant that we were able to log into our Amazon Prime account to watch films (there was also a Netflix button). The room, and in fact the whole hotel, was wonderfully clean, even though the hotel said that the room would be cleaned less frequently due to the covid restrictions. As many have mentioned, there was a lack of hangers (only 4) and no drawers, just a large counter over the fridge and another section next to it. There was plenty of room to include a chest of drawers (plus possibly a chair) and would make a great addition. There was also a small safe in the room - no charge. The large bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. For our liking, the bed was rather too firm (as were the pillows) but it was great realising that they were brand new. The food was pretty much as you would expect for All Inclusive and we always found something that we quite liked though unfortunately, it was often warm, rather than hot, as there didn't appear to be any burners/heating below (or above) it . It was buffet style, except that the staff served you, which worked ok. However, at the beginning of our holiday, all the restaurant tables were outside, which is good from a covid point of view, but it caused problems for us as we can't stand the smell of smoke. (Although the inside of the hotel is non-smoking, it is permitted outside in the restaurant area, on balconies and around the pool.) When the weather threatened to deteriorate, a number of the tables were brought inside, which benefitted us. As regards the bar, it's not clear what is actually included free, beyond the choice of 4 cocktails which are advertised on the counter. The drinks did appear to be of quite good quality, although they were local rather than brand names. It should be mentioned that the staff wore masks (for the majority of the time) and did remind customers of the fact that wearing them was compulsory in the hotel. However, there some people around who did not appear to be complying with this - possibly contractors working in the hotel? (A bigger poster reminding people to wear a mask in the very small lifts would be handy. There is one right next to the lift reminding people how to stay covid safe but it's a bit small.) The staff were hard working, friendly and wanted to make sure that everyone had a good holiday.
